Jobs/Vacancies › Re: See Why My Oga Sacked Me This Morning. Did I Do Wrong? by achimendy(m): 2:58pm On Sep 18, 2023 |
Standstrong: I picked up the gate man job ending of last month out of no other better options at the moment and seeing what economic hardship was making me pass through, especially waking up with no hope of where food is going to come from, make i no go steal, God abeg.
I have been doing the job well. Yesterday, while strolling around the area, I heard one man saying he is looking for someone to cut grasses in his compound. Being something I can do to collect the money to help myself as i was hungry and peniless, I met the man and told him i can do the work and we agreed on N15k.
So as my oga went to work, i rushed down to do the work. While I was on it, i dont know what brought my oga back to the house and he didnt see me at the post.
He called me and asked me where i am. I rushed down to the house. I told him i got a small contract of 15k to cut grass for someone in the neighbourhood.
The man got so angry on why I left his duty post to go do another job. Worse was that the person i did the job for was more like his enemy, as i later learnt they've not been in good terms.
He sacked me instantly. I begged this man as a human being to please forgive but he refused to consider me again. He even said, "go before you go and collect poison from my enemy to come and kill me".
Please what is my business with whatever fight the two of them are fighting?
That was how I lost the small job i just got 3 weeks ago and now back with nothing. He should have paid me for the 3 weeks right away but he didnt, rather he said i will find a way to pay you for the services so far.
Please, the country is already very hard and all I needed was something that could give me immediate money to survive on first.
Sad how struggling citizens are being badly treated everyday even while legitimately hustling for survival. How he will pay me for the 3 weeks, he didn't say it.
It's painful but it is not the end of the world.
I will make it too. Amen.
It shall never be well with hunger, agent of poverty. What you did was wrong, it's your fault. Since you left for the other work and your boss came back and couldn't find you in your post, wen he called you should have told him you went to get something or something like that. But you told him the truth, no boss will be happy with such answer. Just go and ask him for your 3 weeks salary, continue your 15k temporal job and still look for another one. |

As soon as a good thing wants to come to your life, you wave your flag of negativity and it flees.
You would rather find excuse to your negativity than take responsibility to change your attitude.
Now, if you are locked in this attitude, I'm sorry to say this, you will never grow in whatever you do
Even if you grow, your negative energy will drag you back down. At the end, you would be trapped.
Negativity may make you sound or look logical, but at the end, it will only keep you imprisoned.

Holysucker: THIS IS NOT RIGHT.
Madam, if you are not ready to buy something for your househelp when you take her out with your own kids, please leave her at home. She is someone's child too.
She came in with her husband, 2 kids and their help, another kid of about 11 or 12 years. Immediately they sat down, the husband left probably to come and pick them up later. She ordered three turkey, a Hollandia yoghurt for the kids and Star radler.
When it was served, she gave one turkey to her son of about 6years, one to the daughter of say 3-4yrs and the other one for herself. While they were feasting on the turkey and drinks, the house help sat on another table starring hungrily and helplessly. Every time the madam turns towards her, the house help will quickly look away to avoid eye contact with madam.
That lady even ate the little piece left by her daughter, paid the bills and left..
I know that she might not be the only person guilty of this despicable act, so let's have your comments and opinions on the matter so others like her will learn and probably change....
cause to me I feel her action might put the children at great risk of maltreatment and possible harm by the househelp.
The thing still dey pain me sha 😡😡😡 Most women have that character in them, they always like maltreating peoples children anyhow, and my pain is some foolish husband that allow that nonsense to happen in their houses. |

Urbaninspire: So the other time,I came to share how I lost a job offer because of a health issue,I want to thank everyone who reached out to me sending positively, prayers and advise.one pastor even offered to pray with me me.I truly appreciate all the kind gestures.
That incident made me seek treatment.
when I lost that opportunity I was thinking how will it take time to get a better offer because I haven't got such offer in a very long time but life goes on,I kept applying day and night even got some invites that didn't work out, some that will say we will get back to you but you but you go wait tire.
Being a job seeker in the present time is really draining.
So when I got an invite,I was like hope it will not be like others,I was even tired of going physical interview, luckily this particular one everything was virtual, all stages, company owned by a neighboring African company,at a point I was kind of sceptical like is this really real but guess what it is real......I got job and the pay is the highest I have since after graduation 10 years yes yes!70k more over the one I lost.God is truly faithful.

I refer to it as financial power. Cant you see the way billionaires like tony elumelu, dangote, bill gates, jack ma etc relates with those with political power. Of recent tony elumelu traveled with Tinubu to India for an economic summit, that's what money can do, those with financial power are being respected by other high profile people. |

Funkybabee: Good morning to my beautiful ladies here and our fellow brothers though una can wail like you normally did before. This post is not for you but for ladies to share their opinion 👎👎
I saw a post on instablog where a ladies share her opinion on why you shouldn't marry a man who cannot afford the thing you can do for yourself.
Back to my own view, I think it's not about how much he earn but how much he can give, a man can be rich and be stingy at the same time while a man can be rich, give and still not care about cheating thereby disrespecting your feeling.
I met a guy this year, got to his apartment saw there are no things there when I asked he said he just moved to this state with a new job but still setting up small by small, I said that's good to me for the fact that he's going to one of the old disciplined church while also he has completed is Master unless he has no ambition that he will be definitely good to go.
Later I discovered something about him, he don't used to call unless you chat don't know how it look somehow to me because I don't like calls too but I feel somehow, if you ain't online, he will wait till you come online to chat whether two or more days, he's after sexual thing though he said he's a believer, our house is not far to his place I normally trekked that's why I don't care about tfare at all so one day, I loosed my hair, went to his place to greet him omo he doesn't even look my way but after his satisfaction and later on he began one filmsy excuse of waiting for his brother to come that I should prepare to leave now. it didn't bother me too much until I got home and call my brain to order that am I for real with this guy, I later left him but he keep begging me it's not what I think, but I told him to come and see outside for him to spend assurance while herefused to that
Omo ladies come and share your experience concerning this una guys are welcome with your bashing
A love without giving is a lust. It's not about be material or how much he can give but the willing in his heart and to love someone without caring about his materialistic is not an offence "A love without giving is lust ", but why do you ladies think a man should be the only one giving , while you ladies sit down and do the receiving, where are you people learning this nonsense from for God sake? This is one of the reasons why majority of matured ladies are not getting married today, because of their poverty-driven instinct and mentality. |

Alhassan Outtara of Ivory Coast (13 years),
Considering how he got into power. He's doing exactly what Gbagbo did. Sit tight by any means. Am telling you, i remember how almost everybody including other African countries stood by him because of the electoral fraud perpetrated by Laurent gbagbo and his cohorts to retain power. Now he has succeeded and now doing thesame thing his predecessor did. I think is high time the African masses revolt against this senseless, greedy and power- drunk leaders. |
