myobjective: Don't mind the writer of that article. Any Muslim from the northwest identify has Hausa despite having minorities in some of the states.
Muslims from States like Bauchi, Yobe, and Gombe either identify as Fulani or Hausa despite not being Hausa. Hausa is now an identity used by northern Muslims who are originally Hausa or Fulani Do you blame them? Atiku Abubakar is not Hausa or Fulani, but he will not say what he is. Babangida is not Hausa or Fulani, but he will not say what he is. Abdusalam Abubakar is not Hausa or Fulani, but he will not say what he is. Abacha was not Hausa or Fulani, but he never said what he is. Gowon is not Hausa or Fulani, but he said what he is. This country has no reward for being a minority. If you want to get to a certain place, you have to use the right medium. Nigerians made it so. As a Northerner, the first thing that qualifies you to be a president is your religion, followed by ethnicity, then wealth, then influence then at the least, your capacity to lead. |

Amanda4life: So who is fooling who.
Those people saying rubbish against Biafra Should just shut up their smelly mouth. If they don't know what is good for them, other people do. Since you people do not know what will be good for you and your generation, shut the hell up and leave those who know what is good them.
Now let me asked you , how do you expect me to love a country I know fully well will not allow me and my generation to smell presidential seat, a country where certain set of people feel they are born to rule forever. Other tribes spend a lot of money to get educated which they don't, still they are valued more than the educated one.
A country where certain tribes kill others because of religion and ethnicity like that.
Those that are saying things against Biafra are dirty pigs.
Its simple, I don't want to belong to your country, please deport me to USA
Or you change your ways talk to your brother's and sisters. Or let us be in our own smaller country. I don't think its a big deal. Why are you angry? Do not forget that a group of Igbo military officers went on rampage, killing every other ethic officer in the way of Gen. Ironsi with the support of Igbos. Up till, today Igbos don't subscribe to Nigeria as a nation, they are either thinking of an Igbo president or secession. If an Igbo man still thinks of secession, how can he be made president when he can just put an end to the Nation. Civil war happened because an Igbo man was passed over for president. Till today, the Igbo man has not shown any sign of unity with all ethic groups. How do you expect the Igbo man to be president with such behavior. The SS has decided to move on and the have gotten recognition from the rest of Nigeria, when will the Igbo do same? |

Family › Re: I Suspect My Wife Is Setting Me Up With Her Friend by adanny01(m): 3:25pm On Feb 14, 2020 |
Overlordship: Hello all, I got married to my wife 9 months ago and it has been a wonderful experience all through until her friend showed up two months ago. That was actually the first time I was meeting her as she wasn’t around for our wedding as she was doing her masters programme in South Africa. I knew she and my wife were closed as she was always talking about her best friend while we were courting.
She showed up at our house and I thought she came to visit and catch up with old times with my wife so I gladly welcome her. Later in the night, my wife told me she will be staying with us for sometimes while she gets a job. I was upset because we never discussed it before and I made my feeling known. Nevertheless, I had to give in since she said the friend also accommodated her in her room back at school for a session. So, I accepted her living with us and I felt it was only for a short time. We gave her the visitor’s room.
The first trouble started when I noticed her night gown barely covered her bum and sometimes were transparent with her boobs showing whenever she comes to the sitting room. I expressed my reservations about it to my wife and she dismissed it playfully that it was nothing and that what were my eyes wandering there for, so I let it go. Sometimes, she will enter her bedroom without knocking saying she wants to gist with her friend. And I will just stay on my side of the bed playing with my phone while the both talked. I noticed my wife doesn’t care, but I don’t want any issue with her so I accepted it with the hope her friend will soon leave the house.
I must admit that the friend was a bit useful in the house. My wife closes late than I, and her friend stays home when she’s not job hunting, so sometimes she would have cooked before we arrived. Though, I complained about this also, but wifey believe it was trivial. Her friend was intelligent and as times goes on, we talked on a wide range of topic while waiting for wife to come back from home so I stopped complaining about her to my wife.
It became so normal about her dressing that I accepted it like that. There was a day she came to our room to gist with my wife and playfully, my wife hit me with a pillow and before you know it, the three of us were throwing pillows about and playing like kids. They were both jumping on me and incidentally, I had a hard on as we were playin. I noticed her friend was slightly brushing her hand on me. I had to quickly stop and stylishly use the pillow to cover myself until I came down. I was really uncomfortable with the whole situation, but I didn’t complain to my wife again since I know what she will say. What I just keep asking my wife is when her friend was leaving.
The incident that happened two weeks really changed things. My wife took one week leave and decided to visit her parents outside the state we reside. I wasn’t okay with it leaving her friend alone with me, but she said I will just do fine. I tried to come home late for the first three days so I can completely avoid her, until the fourth day when she came into my room. I didn’t want to be rude by asking her to leave, so I asked her to sit down on the sofa in the bedroom. We first spoke about football, politics and other things. I can’t really say what happened, but in a lapse of judgement, we started kissing and then I had sex with her. I felt regret immediately and started apologizing to her for taking advantage of her. What she said really dazzled me. She said I shouldn’t be sorry as my wife never keep talking of our big I am and how sex was so great. And how she wishes her friend can experience what she was talking about.
My regrets turned to anger immediately and I asked her if she and my wife planned this whole episode just to confirm what my wife was boasting about. She denied being in cohort with my wife, but said something that devastated me. She said my wife wouldn’t mind as they sometimes share things together as they are besties for life right from their school days. I had to quickly exit the room to the balcony. We barely talked again until wife came back, though she tried to initiate some conversation, which I rebuffed. My wife further heightened my apprehension when wife asked if her friend really took care of me and that I couldn’t have missed her much since her friend was around. The dilemma now is that I can’t confront my wife about the incident as I will be admitting I slept with her friend. Her friend is also acting normal and I am afraid if she will inform her “bestie for life”. I have been thinking, what if they had been “Sex partners” before and I married a bisexual cos of the way they do play together. I had just been asking her when her friend was leaving and I don’t want to be forceful because of what happened between us.
Note, my wife has been a good wife. All my family member love her like she’s part of them and she is so comfortable with them. We never had any issues except this. I need advice on how to go on so I don’t destroy my marriage. Ask your wife directly if she is bisexual. She will understand that you have seen some signs and will not be a problem if she is not. If she is, then it is okay you fvcked her friend but if she is not, your wife is naive. |

fergie001: You are getting it wrong.
For the umpteenth times, Audu's case had no precedent. It was a landmark judgement.
Audu was not Governor-Elect before his death. He was leading but his election was inconclusive at the time.
If INEC had pronounced him winner and he finally 'kicked the bucket', Faleke would be Governor.
In this case, Lyon had been pronounced Gov-Elect by the electoral body. The ticket is a joint one. So one is infected by the other. Same goes for President-Elect/VP-elect.
Cc: SonofDevil You have confirmed my opinion with the bolded. If Faleke can become governor on only one member of the joint ticket, then David Lyon should remain on the ticket while he shops for the replacement of the deputy governor. It is the same way if a deputy governor is impeached. |

Shouldn’t the runner up in the APC primaries be declared winner of the election?
Do you trust that the judgement by the SC was done in good faith or maybe this was a facade?
Does the Supreme Court judgement have any connection with ex president GEJ’s meeting with President Buhari behind closed doors on Jan 30, 2020? Are you aware that the deputy governor never even stood for primaries? Last time James Falake was denied the governor, they refused to.consider joint ticket but why now? |
Politics › David Lyon: Is The Supreme Court Setting A New Precedence? by adanny01(op): 5:36pm On Feb 13, 2020 |
When Kogi state APC guber candidate Abubakar Audu died before he was declared elected, expectations was that his deputy based on the joint ticket was going to assume the position of governor elect. It never happened.
Now we have a situation where a deputy governor elect whose candidacy was removed and the governor himself removed with him based on joint ticket.
But we also have several deputy governors removed from office via impeachment, it will be logical that any deputy removed from office based on impeachment, the governor must also leave office based on joint ticket.
The only option here is to say when both candidates are sworn into office, their joint ticket seize to exist but before then, they have a joint ticket.
But? Why does the deputy governor takes an independent oat of office if the ticket is joint?
I think this is the most controversial supreme court verdict of all time.
Am not learned, just a confused Nigerian thinking aloud. What are you thinking? |

Manufacturers themselves cannot differentiate between 2003 and 2004 because they are exactly the same. The 2004 ECU was only updated. Owners of 2003 were recalled for the ECU update that came with 2004. Maybe some electrical modules got updated too but everything stayed the same.
The major difference was with 2005 which had a new rear light and Mass air flow sensor instead of Intake air temperature sensor. An new Hybrid model was also added to the trims which had a its unique alloy wheels. The 2005 also had different V6 alloy wheels and different wheel cover for the LX trim.
1st pic 2003/4 V6 vs EX alloy rims 2nd pic 2005 V6 3rd pic 2005 Hybrid 4th pic 2005 LX vs 2003/4 LX wheel covers
The EX maintain the same alloy 2003 to 2005. I think the DX maintained same wheel cover too.
The sure way to differentiate any car model year is checking the seat belt label which carries the year of production. Some dubious dealers will cut that tag out

Car Talk › Re: Removing Thermostat In A Car... What Is The Idea by adanny01(m): 8:49pm On Feb 10, 2020 |
greatbrian: Most car owners one-way or the other would have come across mechanics talking about removing the thermostat.
I was naive to it until a new car I got Had issues this month and my mechanic was like I should remove the thermostat saying its the culprit of the over heating. I tried asking why and he said the weather abroad is cold that's why thermostats is put in cars coming in and our weather here is hot. Though I told him not to remove it since the technology that brough about making cars brought about adding the thermostats. Afterwards, I decided checking all the cars in my compound and I realised the thermostats is missing all thanks to Our Kareem.
The question is have anyone encountered this and what is the thermostats majorly for in more educated environment. Let me start by A human body temp analogy. A normal body temp of a human is around 37°c. 38°c and above is considered fever and 35°c and below is considered hypothermia. This means the normal human should have a temp range of 35-38°c. This same condition exist with an engine. An engine operates optimally at a temp in the range of 88-98°c. Car manufacturers then created 2 equipment to control the engine temp within the range. The lower range is controlled by the thermostat while the upper limit is controlled by the cooling fans and radiator. The thermostat is designed to stop the cooling system from working if engine temp is below 88°c while the cooling fan is designed to start cooling once the temp is at 98°c. This will keep all systems of the car in their top working form in any type of weather. It is essential to note that an engine running below 88 or above 98°c will experience rapid wear and tear of moving engine parts in the long run and a poor mileage in the short run. Kazeems remove thermostat and connect fans directly. This is deleting the optimum temperature range of the car. This range becomes low then were and tear sets in. The engine eats its self in bigger bites from the day of the modification. |

Gwagone: Okay....... Is it on top 'your 1st car'? What's your point exactly? Cos I still don't get.. Let me try again. You said "you will never buy a Honda" right? My point is you have decided to follow the advise of ignorant people and considered it popular advise when it is not. In fact, millions of people buy Honda, Honda is among the top 5 car makers in the world, they are in the same league with Toyota, Benz and the rest. Based on your stand, I wish that you have a rethink, why do millions buy Honda and you say you will never buy it? Personally, I do ask myself reasons when my decision seems to deviate from popular opinion. I hope you check your reasons again. If the tire pull out is the issue, you will do yourself a favour if you asked those who like Honda despite the leg pull issue. |
Car Talk › Re: Which Car Was Your First Car? by adanny01(m): 5:14pm On Feb 09, 2020 |
Gwagone: So what's your point? The point is that Honda do not make bad products, thats why millions of people buy it and don't regret. Some people buy it and move to the newer models and stick to Honda. Do your home work and find out why some people love it while you will "never buy any Honda products" because of "what people say about that car, my uncle enjoys repairing that fvcking car all the time."
You've made your mind up regardless of the manufacturer being top 5 in the world and has models that topped selling charts in the US. What makes you think you know better than those millions who use it. I have a friend who bought a 2002 Toyota Corolla but regretted doing it. He has ported to a 2007 Accord from reviews and he feels at home. Does that make all Toyota products bad? No, his case was that he got a lemon and didn't like the sour taste. A car like a 2002-07 Nissan Murano is so unreliable but people buy it. If you will never buy a Honda, which car will you buy? Certainly your legs will be the most reliable means of travel if your standards are that high. What about Honda power bikes? Will you not fly in the Honda aeroplane?. Or will not have a Honda land mower? What about if your wife or mum cooks stew that the tomatoes was grinded with the Honda single stroke engine in your neighborhood?

Maybe he was destined to use that car lol Hope your present car is not giving you stress at all. And what's the type? I pray someday you realise that the impression you got is ignorance and you are buying into ignorance. From the way you put it, Honda is good for nothing but globally, Honda sells more cars than BMW. The only reason Honda is behind Toyota in car sales is product range. Next time you want to propagate ignorance, think of the reason why you rate poorly a product that is among the top 5 car manufacturers in the world and so many people still buy it. |

Car Talk › Re: Is Speed Necessary When Test Driving A Car by adanny01(m): 2:20pm On Feb 06, 2020 |
loba18: Good day,
I sold my car yesterday and it was a very dramatic transaction.
The buyer drove the car recklessly, that is, speeding, in the name of test driving the car. I cautioned him several times and told him he can monitor the gear selection even at a low speed.
Well, he ran into a ditch and dented my car. The moment it happened, I started laughing. "Guy you don buy market" was what came out of my mouth.
Guy man no wan gree, he later priced the car very low so as to escape. I didn't take any of it and I gave him my terms which are;
1. Fix the car (not by panel beating the damaged parts, he must buy another tokunbo parts. Bumper with fogs light, right fender and right tyre.
2. Pay for the car, I gave him the market value of the car.
We invited the police, he eventually bought the car to cut the story.
Now back to the title of my thread, do we really need to speed or drive recklessly when test driving a car we want to buy??
For any car I may have to sell next, (no e raise e) no revving like you are trying to cough out something from the exhaust and no test driving above 1km and 50 to 70km/h. If you no gree, move abeg!!! Yes. However, in most cases, it is unnecessary. Negotiation should be done after physical inspection, such that if anything goes wrong during test drive, the buyer automatically owes the seller the negotiated amount even if not finalized. No one should test drive a car he doesn't have a payment plan for the asking price or has not negotiated a suitable price. Most times a drive will either seal the deal or break the deal off. A test drive will either get the buyer excited if the car drives good or discourage the buyer if say the transmission was bad and the seller didn't disclose the truth. |

Shallypop: I get your point. Anyways, the way we do in our house is different from how others do. I still find it very disgusting. Love or no love. I said if it was a female, I have no problem with that but a male is a no no. Its somehow to me sha I grew up with only females, sisters and cousins. Food doesn't stay in the pot, my mum's policy. Food is served by the person who cooks it to all who are present and sometimes to even those who are absent. Dad has his dedicated warmer were his food is kept. The left over is completely transfered to a general food warmer. Those with extra demands or visitors get served from there by anyone. A visitor can even be sent to serve his or herself. Food was never left in the pot except for soup. Here is the perk, food is first and foremost served to the head of the house and the rest is general business. There is no claiming of my pot. The only reason for anyone to claim my pot is when the cook has a special portion that he or she wants to serve his or herself or a particular person. In most cases, meat. In this case, even in my own house, I dont serve myself Chicken from my wife's pot, I ask her to serve me any piece she wants me to eat. I know she likes the boney parts so naturally we dont have a conflict there. However, my friend is a piece of work together with his wife. My friend's uncle staying with him and the wife brought 2 or 3 of his local chicken from the village, killed and dressed it, gave my friend's wife. When frying, she serves her husband a nice big piece to taste while uncle watched. Food is ready, she served her husband 1st with 3 large choice pieces, uncle was served the tail/anus part, my friend's cousin's wife present was served a neck. The cousin's wife was silently boiling in anger and told the wife she doesn't feel like eating meat (subtle rejection). The moral of the story is that my friends has a flare for meat, his doting wife patronizes him and together they are an annoying irrational couple. The op is actually irrational. There are ways to achieve what she wants but she doesn't want to explore peaceful resolution opting for autocracy. What most wife's do is established "my husband's" food warmer and general food warmer. There is no point leaving food in the pot. The BIL will always serve himself from the general warmer and doesn't have to use her pot or her kitchen. Set the general warmer on the dinning with plates and cotlery. She has the right to reorganize the house not just stay "in za other room". |
