Corruption is the bane of Nigeria's existence. Am sure if they step foot on Nigerian soil, they can kiss their allawee bye bye. Sharp guys, get what you can get before you leave since thats the last allawee you will get from NFF. Am sure they paid to get their positions and cannot break even with their abissmal performance. |
Rubbiish:True, the sandcrete/concrete building system we use here will not be applicable in very cold regions. Compared to wood, concrete conducts temperature more. |
Wigetsolar:You really would not get it until you understand the economics. You buy a Corolla and Civic brand new at N10m each. You use both interchangeably for a year. You used them equally and did maintenance equally. You decide to upgrade and take both to the dealership. The dealership offers you N7m for the Corolla and N5m for the Civic. I head to the dealership to get a used car and buy the Civic at N5.5m while another person buys the Corolla at N7.5m. Who has more value for money? I do. The only reason the Corolla sold so expensively is demand. Economics says the higher the demand the higher the price and the lower the supply leading to scarcity and even higher price. More people want a Corolla, the more its price goes up and the less value you get for your money since market forces have driven the price up and it doesn't reflect the true value. The more people run from Civic K leg fear the less the demand and the less the price and the more the supply and the price even gets lower and you buy the Civic getting a higher value. Look at it this way, brand new, is the Corolla same price with Camry? No. Camry is more expensive, but why does the value of camry falls and Corolla doesn't. Its just the demand of used Corolla. Simple economics. |
tydi:So because i no get money to buy am now no means say if i see am make i close my eye. All the discussion on Bugatti, Bentley, Ferrari et al on cartalk should sieze since non of us can afford them? Even when I see Juliet Ibrahim passing with her beautiful body and her k legs, I should close my eyes and shut my mouth because she is married, abi? I cannot say oh, this woman is so fine but she get k legs? In fact you are saying i should just shut up because i dont have the celebrity status to marry her. |
iknowwhoiam:On whether its safe, the only thing that makes it safe is the design. You are safe to use steel even for far more than the 3 stories you are planning, it is the design that makes it safe or not. There are quacks, draftsmen and even some uneducated fellows that would do RCD designs for you, but SSD is another game a quack would decline. So you will pay for the real deal. To pass building planning and permits means vetting officers who are used to RCDs would cast an eagle eye on your project. Meaning you get delays and spend money at every corner and every boss is aware and monitors your project. It is easy to determine quality of concrete but not for structural steel. The development control would want to see results. Building with RC is not just convenient, it doesn't require maintenance after construction. Very limited things affect concrete during its life span, such as sea water, fire etc. With steal, rust is a major issue so even without sea water. This means that steal would only be handled by professionals. You dont get to use 4k per day masons, you must use highly skilled labour. You are also limited in building services that are cheap and easy to install. With a steel building, a small thing as an electrical socket needs expert handling to place. You don't get to weld structural members at will. You get to hire a crane for the duration of your build, that cant be cheap. You meet few experienced artisans which will not come cheap. You will pay huge electricity bills cos your project requires welding 24/7. I can go on and on and on. The cost in my projection can easily be more that twice what you would spend on RC. Let me reiterate, it is doable, it is safe but can never be cheaper. |
Cool but the dash looks like they borrowed from Big for nothing. I like the exterior but the dash is just an eye sore. The front bears a tad of resemblance to 2018 Honda Civic even after the Civic has moved on. The 2019 Civic is simple and better. The Corolla looks like overcooked rice. The 2 fixed glass of the front doors has been with Honda since 2006 and the side mirrors totally resembles the old Honda Civic design.

iknowwhoiam:H/I beam is called Structural Steel. Others are T, L, C, Round,Hollow, rectangular beams etc. On the other hand, there are 4 types of steel reinforcement bars for concrete. 1. Hot rolled deformed 2. Cold worked steel 3. Mild steel plain 4. Prestressing steel These are the only reinforcement types i know used with concrete. What you are suggesting is subject to research. I will not advice my enemy to try it. Reinforced Concrete Design (aka RCD) and Structural Steel Design (SSD) are 2 different branches of Civil/Structural Engineering. They two start at the same principle during analysis but end up miles apart in design. I have never seen the two being mixed at elemental level; say a beam having both concrete and structural steel. A Structural steel section is designed to replace a reinforced Concrete member entirely whether as a column, beam or other structural member. The 2 are interchangeable but together as a single member, i have never come across. Wood is also a structural material used to replace both reinforced concrete and structural steel. Its design is also different. Basically, i am saying if you use structural steel, concrete is not required. If you use concrete, you must choose 1 of the 4 reinforcement bars above. Steel design will cost you an arm and a leg while the structural steel will break the bank. Concrete and wood are far cheaper compared to steel. |

Ekinematics:I wish you could answer my questions honestly. Have you ever changed your Honda ball joint? Did you buy it yourself or mechanic did on your behalf? Did your mechanic install a cotter pin or not? Let me tell you what can pull out in a Honda leg 1. Lower arm ball joint (95% of pull outs) 2. Upper arm ball joint (hardly pulls out) 3. Tie rod end inner (5% of the pull out) 4. Tie rod end outter (hardly ever) Before i give you my point, there are 3 dampers (bushing) on the lower arm, 2 on the upper arm, 1 on the stabilizer linkage. Now, for a driver who has no idea of the mechanism of a car and cannot even know if he has a pending leg problem (like my mother), this person will drive till the leg pulls. For the driver who is broke and cannot immediately afford to fix a problem with 1 of these, when a second issue joins, he will never know at what point the leg is in critical condition and needs urgent attention. A leg problem needs a critical and sensitive person to point but when the problem is more than 1, it becomes very difficult to trace without stripping the entire leg looking for fault. This person will also drive till it pulls. To those who have money and will throw it a slight notice without giving an eye to quality of parts Installed, you will still get the pull. So how does one stop it from happening, answer the questions I asked and you will hear the solution. 90% of the Honda on our roads came from the US, they dont have this problem. Honda has never recalled a vehicle for this problem (within my knowledge) and have recalled vehicles for issues far smaller than this serious mechanical failure. It doesn't happen in Canada, Japan, Dubai or other countries these cars are used except in Nigeria. The problem is local, has nothing to do with Honda as a brand and Honda company isnt aware of it. If you dont reply with answers to questions asked, i will state here that you should continue to bad mouth Honda for my benefit. How? The more people find Honda as unreliable, the less its value and the more i buy Honda for less money but higher value. Do you understand the economics? Isnt this the main reason why a used Corolla is more expensive than a used Camry even though the true value of camry is higher. |
majamajic:Infringement!!! Can you proof the hogwash statement of yours? Just buy OEM ball joint (new or toks) and forget about it. Buy the ball joint that cost 1.5-5k, expect a pull out from the very day you put that ball joint. The 2008 up accord has exactly the same set up with the 2006 down accord. No change from Honda. The ball joint is just bigger in size to accommodate for the heavier car. The 2003 to 2007 ball joint is also bigger than the 2002 down. This is also due to more weight on newer models. |
NobleAngell:Its so obvious this HRM is displeased by her boss's usurping her responsibility and has decided to lash out on the Innocent "employee" who has pulled all the strings he can to get the job. The fact that he is qualified is not the matter but the fact that she has decided to frustrate him even when she is in the picture of everything from day 1. |
Legalo:These contraband are the more reliable than any brand new you will fine in the market .ot even counting pound for pound or Naira for Naira. |
I can swear i checked my policy with the www.askniid.com when i renewed my vehicle paper in August 2018. Fast forward, just checked and my policy is expired even when its not a year. I did my whole papers in the state BIR office and didn't use a third party or agent. I went there myself. 2 yrs prior, in the same office, i remember one guy did part of his docs and left out Insurance that he didnt have complete money. His insurance was done for 3k and i was amazed how that was possible since the Industry standard for a third party insurance cover for a year is 5k. How is it possible they did his for 3k, who paid the balance? Now, i was covered, but before the full coverage term, it expired. Could they have done half a year and collected money for 1 full year? I suspect a scam but what do i know?

calabaman:I had this type, the sumec firman version, which i replaced with the firman i am selling. The smaller Sumec replaced my tiger 2900. That Tiger gave me tough times. |
calabaman:My neighbor works in Lagos and is on leave right now, my guess is he will return by this weekend. See their dirty actual pictures in store. The only problem with the big one is dead battery.
|
calabaman:Abj Do your math and you'll see its the best you can get. If you really are interested, i would put fuel and do a video for you to confirm. The sumec started one kick after almost 2yrs. |
nurey:Bros, its easy to do that math. When you go through the repair process, you will end up with almost 20k. 2 months later, you will have a smoking engine making so much noise and sucking engine oil. I have been there done all that. I got the 2 gens advertised above after such processes countless of times. |
calabaman:I have 2 generators, never been repaired. Both 1 year rarely used and both packed in the store for 2yrs now. My area has at least 22h of electricity. The small one was used for a week last week when our transformer broke down. Its back to the store. I have the 2 because i used to live apart from my family. 1st is Fireman 3990ES for N60k 2nd is Sumec 2500 for N35k You are better off with one of these than any repair can guarantee you. Mind you am selling only of them. We can talk waybill if you are interested.

This wont do anything. When a governor has the right to suspend or remove from office the entire chairmen in the state, they dare not spend a Kobo without his say. |
antagonist:Pls dont antagonize me. Dont be surprised if my protest earns me a free pass. ![]() |
CarGuideNG:Secondly, you scored correct those who mentioned that the engine is a V6. I believe thats a half mark or zero sef. Since your question asked for displacement which is the engine size and not engine configuration. |
CarGuideNG:Even though the winners have long claimed their price money, i want some clarification about the Nissan skyline. From knowledge available to me, the pictures you shared Picture 1 could be an Infiniti EX35 2010 or Nissan Skyline 2009. That side of the car is a 100% match. The alloy wheels and body structure is exactly the same. Are the trims different? Picture 2 is a Left hand drive and shows the seats which are exactly the same. Is the seat leather trim, the stitch pattern or any feature in this pic not exactly as in Infiniti EX35? Picture 3 I guess we were supposed to know from this if it was an AWD, FWD or RWD but it wasnt as clear as it should be. Does this picture bring out a difference between the Nissan and Infiniti? Picture 4 brings a big contrast to picture 2, where pic 2 is a LHD and 4 is a RHD. My point is that the Infiniti EX35 and the Nissan Skyline are the same car with a different badge. As far as am concerned, except if in the pictures there were features only the Nissan has, the Infiniti is also a correct answer. |
