It's getting closer. E go reach everybody |
sarrki:In your own view one who kills thousands and displaced people from their homes in the name of religion or pursuit for extreme religious beliefs is the same with another who's seeking secession from a country. Do you even know that Spain and Catalonia are also negotiating whether to remain a single country or breakaway? Bosnia pulled away from Croatia without any bloodshed or noise but in Africa, oh Africa! We're so backward to the point that even those who should know claims they know not. It's normal for people to feel the need to quite a union and it's not a crime to ask those questions but unfortunately, I know Africans are not meant to lead. Leadership is not just our thing as Africans. A terrorist is not and can never be the same as a secessionist |
It's actually going to be complicated. I wasn't expecting a smooth sailing for MNK. It would have been allot easier had he renounced his Nigerian citizenship. Let's see how things unfolds in the coming weeks. Naija is going through a state sponsored war against her own people. |
You might be right |
Tranquillity360:The line between bravery and stupidity is a very thin one hence, always difficult for an ordinary person to see. It takes more than wisdom to fight a sitting government and not lose your life or lost the battle. This is not a gorilla warfare. The south doesn't have that sort of large space of barren land to use as warfront....rather the armies will bring the war into your villages and cities, destroy your 50 years of hard work and stroll out leaving you to count your losses. Shekarau would have been captured had he choose to reside in Maiduguri or Kano town. Now that's the difference between a tactical warlord and a true freedom fighter. A freedom fighter wants his people liberated without causing harm to them and their properties.... this is the case of Igboho and MNK....compare to Shekarau who's a well trained tactical warlord built on extremist mindset, he knew his only chance of a fight is to take the fight off the army's comfort zone. It took a breakaway fraction of BH to capture him....and not the highly funded NA. Lesson: Sunday Igboho knows there's no fight to be won if the army starts clamping down on innocent youths in Ibadan and killing them just like what happened in Imo state....and at the end, they'll succeed in tagging him a terrorist but with a tactical retreat, he who fights and run away lives to fight another day. Ikonso would have been alive to fight another day had he known what's called 'Tactical retreat' |
Mossadd:Was his brother declared wanted too? |
I can bet it's a fellow Igbo man that sold out MNK. I know the true story will soon be revealed |
Sokoto and Maiduguri have once recorded 40⁰C....and Qatar, Kuwait and some middle East countries dey play with 45 to 50⁰C. Let them enjoy it jare I guess it's alien to them for weather to get so hot. |
Somalia una doh |
This would interest me too. Hope you get good response soon |
lilvicky68:Best advice so far... Biting your own back should not be an issue nau. |
hammer3x:Your point is noted Bro. I see where you're coming from but should death be the consequence of not respecting oneself as a 50 or 60 year old agbaya that refuse to settle a 21 year old sex worker? Yes, everything is morally wrong with a 50 year old man going out with a 21 year old olosho but come to think of it, she's an adult at 21. But should gruesome murder be the consequence of his moral wrongdoing? |
hammer3x:Imagine you're her defence lawyer, do you think this trash you're spewing will help her cause? Is she the first poor girl to ever walk the surface of the earth? Or you think the judge didn't grow up from a poor family too? If being poor is a passport to commit crime and go scot-free, are they gonna be any rich man/woman out there? I pray she gets a good lawyer to do her bidding, else Na death by hanging sure for her pass. |
GiantParrot:You wanna understand a woman? Aunty has found a new love bird in her new church. Her eyes go soon clear. Ladies are the most complicated creatures on earth. In 5 years time from now, I know she'll be writing a different story entirely. Sense will soon fall on her. Every of her post on Nairaland that time will end with "I hate men" |
Following you.... |
Machinegun91:Are you for real? BTW out of the 380 million people in West Africa, Nigeria alone has 200 million people. It is well oo |
How e go be? Service before pay or pay before service? Consumer protection is paramount. So if you're game for service before pay, let's roll. |
Rissamenti:Is that your justification for government failures in this part of the world? Do you even admit for once that the govt of the day has failed woefully? Yes, they're projects here and there in the country but at what cost? Do you know how much debt this govt has plunge us into? What do you think is the cause of inflation in the country and is it the common man on the street or those of us one nairaland that caused it too? And yes, the USA has over 40,000 cases of killings in a calendar year but what's our own count? Does the govt you support even allow fair reporting and investigative journalism? You can be rest assured that over 50% of the victims of murder crimes in the US will get justice but can same be said of a country that sends military after her own citizens who went out on peaceful protests? I mean, supporting a bad govt is not a problem but using stupidity to justify another stupidity is where I have issues with your kind. |
NaijirianKing:If you fixate your thoughts on the present day Nigeria, you'll be quick to say that Nigeria is better together but in the face of agitations here and there as well as marginalisation of the Igbos, and insecurity in the country, we should be forward thinking enough to accept that maintaining the status quo has not benefited the common man and it will never benefit us. Thus, it'll be wise to look for the workability of this nation going forward. What happens to the British style of government where they have different countries making up the United Kingdom? Can't we have a united Nigerian states that comprises of 3 or 4 geopolitical regions which can be called whatever suits them while we have a central government unifying all the regions. These regions are equally free to have the number of states that suits them and so on. A Welsh man knows he's Welsh and a Scottish knows his root but outside the UK, we know England is an entity on its own. We should be open enough to accept that this country have not worked and will not work. Why then recycle failure? |
seunmsg:Guys, let's do a reverse engineering of the whole situation and simulate what would have being if Nigeria had not been demarket-ed notwithstanding the realities that suggests the opposite. Let's imagine that BH is killing like they're doing. Bandits and kidnappers are having a field day just like it's happening. Herdsmen are going about threatening the peace of their host communities. SARS continued their extra judicial killings unchecked and the whole country is as tensed as it is currently due to all the anti-people policies of the present day administration.... increasing the pump price of allied crude products and doing same with electricity tariffs at a time when the citizens are still counting their losses from the after effect of a global pandemic. Now, amidst all the aforementioned, you guys along with Lai Muhammed are saying Nigerians and the media houses therein should not mention anything relating to them and instead, say the opposite. Like, we're getting loan from China to construct railway that our grandchildren will enjoy albeit a huge debt burden. Like, our military just took delivery of some world war II fighter jets that will be used to crush BH that have survived 3 army Chief of Staffs and very much on course to surviving many more.... Like saying Nigeria is the best place on earth with the good "ease of doing business" ratings...bcuz we now have 24/7 uninterrupted power, good road networks and so on, and have enjoyed same since the last decade. On the contrary, we all know that this is unethical journalism. For the citizens....you can't flog a child and not expect him/her to cry. We couldn't have been put to so much suffering by the people who were supposed to serve us and expect us not to call them out. Right to demonstrate or protest peacefully is one of the best selling point of democracy over any other form of government but ask yourself, were the protesters of Endsars not peaceful until the paid thugs were sent out to discredit the protest? Has the government or police on their part mentioned anything about all the videos of paid thugs caught on cameras across the country? Be very honest with yourself in answering these: If you were the CEO of Twitter, would you have relied solely on information from mainstream media to decide where you'd situate your business's HQ? And what makes you think he will be so dumb to fall for the white elephant pictures of the country if your type of stories about Nigeria is what we have on the internet while the reality on ground is what it is currently? Do we really have freedom of speech in Nigeria? Case in hand, one of the aids of the Kano State governor that was sacked and taken into detention by the DSS, and shortly after his release, he fled the country (that's a northerner. What would have been if he were to be an Igbo or Yoruba man)? Remember, this is a country that just woke up on a certain day and outlawed the use of crypto currency in the country and her currency is gradually becoming the weakest on the continent with so much shades of unpredictability in governance. |
Virus99:Na only name the place get.... nothing really sophisticated. You'd be surprised our almighty Aso Villa is just another well decorated over-hyped lodge. I pray for peace to reign! We can be civilised and settle our differences as a people but our politicians are nothing but devil incarnated. If going our separate ways will be the solution, it shouldn't require bloodshed and if it's to practice regionalism or true federalism, it shouldn't cost a soul. |
NarnieAceTech:Buzz me up on WhatsApp through the link below mywa.dot/letstalkbusiness Pls remove the .dot. and replace with just one dot |
360clips:When you live in a civilised country where vote bring people to power, it's easy to assume Nigerians are the direct cause of their misfortunes. Do you know the quality of candidates our political parties chun out for elections out of whom the electorates now choose from? Ask those who served as ad-hoc INEC staffs at pooling units as corpers around the north and some other part of the country what election means to them. People really think our vote means anything. I'm telling you for a fact that if there's zero turnout at any general election, INEC will still apportion figures and declare a winner. Every fabrics of true democracy has been fed to the dogs. Don't lemme start telling you how I ran for my life as a corper in Abuja at one of the open primary elections APC conducted in my time there. |
NarnieAceTech:Vic Lawrence Associate....I know a few things about them having worked with a firm where most of my colleagues were outsourced from there. You're most likely gonna hear from them soon if you are lucky and your age falls within 23 to 27 bcuz the major clients they recruit for are banks....I'll tell you more about this. Btw... You said you're at Alaba Int. market....that's where I am too. Currently into computer laptops, and I can tell business hasn't been the same for some time now due to the prices of foreign used items going for double of their former price. If you don't mind, let's meet in person on Tuesday so we can discuss extensively about what you inquired about and I'll also ask if you can be my guide on my adventure into the programming world. I've been learning how to code recently too and I found it fascinating. My shop is close to St. Patrick junction. |
franchasng:Guy, the opposite of this thing you wrote here happened to me. I was in a committed relationship and seriously planning on fixing date for traditional not knowing that the girl was out of the relationship long ago but she just stick around. At the time, I had another girl who's seriously dying to have me. she even went as far as ex-ing her boyfriend for me. Long story short, out of my commitment for the other girl, I told the latter that my girlfriend and I were gonna be getting married soon only for event to turn on its head and I lost both of them. The only thing I did wrong was to genuinely intend marriage with a girl I tot we're all on same page with. Even to the point that I had to put off a suitor for her. The rest is history. |
qualityovenbake:Ha! If it's possible to like a comment a million times, Bro this ur comment qualify for a million likes from me alone. My mom and ex are the culprits in my case. Life can be so unfair to some people, and I've had my share of the unfairness. I pray for good times |
