" I remember growing up as a child, i thought life is just six years in primary school, six in secondary, the following year for jamb, next is to gain admission into the universty, spend another 4 or 5 years in the universty, look for job, get the money, build my house and buy the latest car in town, and then look for a wife.

But while growing up, i find out that life is not what i thought it is. Six years in secondary turned 8 years rather.

I know of my childhood friend who told me he would become a lawyer, but haven repeatedly written jamb for 5 times without a break through, he was force to start learning a mechanic work.

Sometimes, i ask myself; what is the purpose of living, why is living a life so difficult..

At this point in time, my lesson is that nothing good comes easy; and to be happy, you have to make others happy too.

Uche Edochie, the elder brother of Actor, Yul Edochie had stated that his family is not in support of Yul Edochie's second marriage, IGBERETV reports.

STATEMENT FROM THE CATHOLIC DIOCESE OF ABAKALIKI REGARDING THE ARREST AND ARRAIGNMENT OF FR. TIMOTHY NGWUTA.

On Saturday, 11th December, 2021, Fr. Timothy Ngwuta was arrested by the Nigeria Police at Mbeke, Ishieke, Ebonyi Local Government Area where he went to help his friend, Jude Ariom, retrieve a vehicle (TOYOTA SIENNA) that was parked there. Before Fr. Timothy arrived Mbeke, he proceeded to the police station to obtain clearance to move the vehicle whose Tyres were deflated. The Police at Mbeke granted him permission to take the vehicle away after he has settled their bill for guarding the car for a period of two weeks. In the course of inflating the tyres, the local vigilante swooped on him and his companions, demanding further settlement. Fr. Timothy informed that the settlement with the police was meant to take care of them as well. After a short while, a different set of local vigilante group arrived. bringing about some altercations between the two groups. Fr. Timothy and those who came to assist him move the vehicle were arrested by the local vigilante and handed over to the same police who earlier had given him clearance to move the vehicle. Fr. Timothy and his companions were subsequently brought to Nigerian Police Headquarters at Abakaliki the following day and detained for a period of twelve days. He was tortured. He was later released on bail. When his health began to fail him on account of the torture he received while in detention. That was on the 23rd December, 2021. He was required to be reporting to the Police Station weekly, this he did Religiously.

Just when we thought the matter was over, he was rearrested on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 and, on the 11th of March, 2021 arraigned in court for, kidnapping and murder of the five NELAN Engineers, attack on and murder of police officers, aiding escape, arson, promoting inter-communal war. We are worried how the issue of going to recover a car parked outside the war zone (a different Local Government Area) has metamorphosed to such accusations as contained in the charges against him. The identity of the car was disclosed to the police by Fr. Timothy together with the contact address and phone number. It is rather surprising to hear that Fr. Timothy is shielding him.

Facts available to the diocese are as follows:
1). Fr. Timothy Ngwuta comes from Ezza Effium; whose home town has been decimated by the inter-communal war between the Effium/Ezza Effium.
2). Fr. Timothy Ngwuta vehemently denies all these charges and sees himself as a victim of circumstances.
3). Fr. Timothy Ngwuta states unequivocally that he innocently went to help a friend retrieve his vehicle and was not aware that the vehicle was used in the commission of crimes as alleged.

The Catholic Church condemns acts of violence, incitement of violence, wars, kidnapping, arson, or any crimes and will not shield anyone involved in such dastardly acts. We urge the security forces to do a thorough investigation and ensure that the priest of God, who has, in conscience, stated before his Bishop, that the accusations are entirely FALSE, is not punished for offense he knows nothing about. Efforts to secure his release on Bail have been hampered by the Executive Order preventing any Court in the State from entertaining matters relating to Effium Crisis. Recently the motion for bail was refused on the 12th of April.

The Church in the name of God, appeals to all of Effium and Ezaa Effium involved in the inter-communal war, to lay down their arms and embrace the path of peace. Nothing justifies the senseless killing and maiming of innocent lives. Peace can never be achieved under the barrel of guns.

Since the matter is before the courts, we will not be making any more statement on the case. We urge all to withhold judgment and let the case run its course.

We implore all people of good will to join us in praying God to touch those responsible for the incarceration of Fr. Timothy to listen to the voice of right conscience. We commend the whole process into the hands of the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of Priests and the Star of Evangelization. Pray for peace in our State and in the Country.

1. Are children of these days worse than the older generation?

I see a lot of myopic comments claiming the world has spoil finish. This is not true. Underage children has been engaging in stupid things from the days of Adam and Eve. Children that grew up in an environment where they learned about sex early always end up having sex early. When I was still in Primary school in the 1990s, I knew some of my classmates who where already sexually active and I attended one of the best schools in Jos.

The problem is the internet only makes it easier for children these days to get access to porn and things that corrupt them. Children will always do stupid things it is not a new thing or a big deal sef. They are children and need guidance.

Many of us judging these kids 2ould have used our phones to watch porn if we had smart phones back in our days too. Children are curious and porn would interest them.

2. Private Schools with wahala.
This Is another short sighted thought people are propagating. They think private schools are terrible in management.
They are talking of Dowen collage cultism and now chrisland issue. They say private schools are over rated. Well, they are wrong. If any child trusts you and tells you what happens in their schools, You will fear god.

Secondary school girls are doing runs in public schools and all their classmates know
The boys are doing yahoo.
They have cults too. Infact cultism from secondary school is very very old especially public schools.

3. Only girls are victims
people have been one sided judging matters always against the males. If not for the video leak, many Nigerians were already out calling for the heads of the boys. Women know they can always get public sympathy and they are abusing it. They are using it unduly to revenge and hurt people they dont like. They cry rape when they need to deal with a man. Is it not a possibility that it was the girl that initiated the truth or dare game? Do we even know if it was the girl that initiated sex with those boys? We dont have these answers yet people jumped into conclusion and many even insisted that the girl must have been drugged by the boys because they believe only boys can be bad. Girls are always good


4. Where did we go wrong?
Humans have always been bad, humans would always make bad life decisions. Children particularly would do things that are wrong because that is how children are. Exposure to social media is not helping them, giving them mobile phones is not helping, movies, music are all confusing them.

The worst influence on these girls are Ladies. You ladies always twerking online, always taking suggestive videos. The only thing you do on tick tok is dance and twerk. You sexualize every picture you take even pictures you take in church. The younger girls begin to develop the wrong mindset that sex is the most important thing most of you girls cannot take a picture without emphasizing your butt or boobs.

The social media has been on standstill with the news of the Chrisland schools pupil that was “gang-raped” by her classmates in Dubai during an international games competition that she and her classmates represented her school in.

As a side note, I have watched the video (the sex video of the little girl and her classmates which are boys, about 4 of them) and it does not seem to me to be rape, it clearly seems to be consensual group sex between the girl and the young boys but the boys made videos of the sex scene and posted it online unless there is something that I am missing.

That being said, netizens should stop sharing, posting and distributing that video; posting, sharing and distribution of child porn is a crime in Nigeria and other countries of the world that would land you in jail.

This is the provision of s.23 of the cybercrime act, 2015;

S.23 (1) Any person who intentionally uses any computer system or network in or for- (a) producing child pornography;

(b) offering or making available child pornography;

(c) distributing or transmitting child pornography;

(d) procuring child pornography for oneself or for another person;

(e) possessing child pornography in a computer system or on a computer-data storage medium:

commits an offence under this Act and shall be liable on conviction –

(i) in the case of paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) to imprisonment for a term of 10 years or a fine of not more than N20,000,000.00 or to both fine and imprisonment.

Engaging in the production, distribution, and transmission of child pornographic content is a crime punishable with 10 years imprisonment or a fine of N20m or both the fine and the jail term.

Please desist from sharing that video for the sake of the little girl’s future and also for the sake of public morals.
