CrimeRe: How Come Only Igbos Push Drugs ? by Afam4eva(m): 11:28am On May 18, 2017
Thermodynamics:
Don't get me wrong, i'm not in support of Igbo or Yoruba. I am not Igbo either, I am from south south and I like the Yorubas and the Igbos, and honestly, I hate seeing tribal war each time am in nairaland, but I must say this, I think someone somewhere is fabricating drug trafficking stories against the Igbos I mean, I just saw a post on front page
" Two Nigerians Arrested In India For Trafficking Heroin"
I opened the thread and there it was, two Igbo names staring back at me, I think most of the drug stories here are fabricated by some obviously jobless Nigerian who is just always looking for a way to instigate tribal war and insult people, call them developers and stuff. I mean how come 99% of the drug trafficking stories we hear on nairaland are done by either " Chukwu Nonso, or Obinna or Uchenna or Nnamdi/Nnna etc grin " wetin shuooo, na only Igbo like drug. Take am Izzy with the lies abeg.
Great Question..

No, not only Igbo people push drugs in Nigeria but i can tell you that majority of people that push drugs in NIgeria are of Igbo ethnicity. It's not because Igbos like pushing drugs, it's just that it's one crime that is popular with Igbo people. You may ask why? Have you asked yourself why majority of taxi drivers are Yoruba people or why majority of spare parts dealers are Igbos? or bureau de change, Hausa? It's because that it the business they got used to first and started introducing others to it, so they kinda colonized those business and it now looks like they even invented it. Igbos do drus just like Yorubas are more common with internet fraud or the way Edo ladies are more popular with prostitution especially abroad.
HealthRe: The Late Chisom Anekwe: Another Perspective by Afam4eva(m):
The OP's grammar does not change anything. The family of the deceased have presented their own case whether or not it was beclouded by emotions. It's left for the hospital to present their own side of the story so that we can weight both. The writer in am attempt to play the devil's advocate, without knowing the patient or the nitty gritty of what happened has decided what was wrong and invariably killed the young woman. You must be a vision seeing doctor. In your bid to protect your fellow incompetent doctors and yourself, since you're probably a quack, instead of doing your investigations, you want to use english and medical grammar to bamboozle us. I can see some people are already saying "It's true sha, the woman should have.." Taa, keep quiet. If you don't know what happened keep quiet.

Ohh sorry, my bad. Youtube has one. Actually it will be a great function. I'm only concerned that it may be abused by people.

Even facebook, youtube, instagram and co don't have dislike buttons. We're not here to make enemies. If we don't like a post, we just ignore and leave those that like to push the like button.

Webmasters5 Features Nairaland Should Incorporate by Afam4eva(op): 9:51am On May 18, 2017
I just had to write this because as much as Nairaland is a great online community where we learn and impart knowledge, i think some of the functions on Nigeria are archaic and not in consonance with the times that we're in. I'll just briefly highlight some areas that needs to be worked on and i hope Seun Osewa tales note.

1. We know youtube is the number one video channel and we have a plugin for adding youtube videos on nairaland but instagram, twitter and facebook videos have also become popular and it's a shame that we cannot embed these videos on Nairaland.

2. The subject field when posting articles should be increased to allow more characters. Sometimes our topics cannot fit into that small space. If Moderators are given more space when they push topics to the frontpage, so should we.

3. I cannot for the life of me understand why there is no POLL system on Nairaland. That's like one of the main features that a forum should have. Why was it removed in the first place.

4. Pls, why do we have to go our emails to reply a message of a PM before the person can send the actual message. PMs should reside on the website and not outside it. I don't just get the logic.

5. How on earth can the website field in the profile be removed. Is this the height of greed? Every forum out there allows members to add their website link.

Is that not how things work in Nigeria. They know most people won't want to go through the stress of signing a stupid form, so they'll say it's not forced just the same way NYSC is not forced but you can't get any good job without providing a discharge certificate.

The movie is so overhyped. I was really disappointed after watching it. It lacks content..just a lot of pomp and pageantry with good picture quality.
Exactly. The picture quality and the pomp and pageantry is up there. But the delivery especially from the Actors were average a best. Alibaba was not convincing as a typical Yoruba man. Neither was RMD and Iretiola doyle as an Igbo man and woman respectively.

PoliticsRe: The Road Leading To Otuoke, Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan's Village (Photos) by Afam4eva(m): 1:30pm On May 17, 2017
I really don't understand what people tend to chieve when they bring up all these stuff about how bad Jonathan's village or the road to his vilage is. Should the road to his village be any different from the roads all over the country? Are we saying that he should give his people preference over other Nigeria or are we encouraging nepotism in governance whereby whoever gets in tries as much as possible to develop his place of origin. Aren't Nigerians the most moronically advanced creatures yet?
TV/MoviesRe: Still On The Wedding Party by Afam4eva(m): 1:02pm On May 17, 2017
I saw a review somewhere on the wedding party but i couldn't copy it. It narrows my exact thoughts about the movie. I have never seen a more over-hyped movie in my life until wedding party was released. I don't know if i'm the only one seeing double.
CrimeRe: Why I Don’t Like Nigerians By Robert Lindsay, A US Citizen by Afam4eva(m): 1:02pm On May 17, 2017
InvertedHammer:
Do you really need to come in contact with 200m Nigerians to have an opinion about Nigerians?

If that is the case, then statistics is useless. If you take 10 random samples and the 10 samples are bad, one can deduce that everything in the general population is bad. You hear stories about drug burst, Yoruba folks run to the thread assuming that the criminal is an Igbo. You read about a scam, Igbo folks start yelling "afonja" in jubilation. How many Igbo or Yoruba drug dealers or scammers do you know? It quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.

Generalization backed by statistics is acceptable. Change your ways!

Sad but funny. You will never hear a Nigerian argue that a place is good but Nigeria is better. Every argument from Nigeria is always about comparing the bad things about Nigeria with others to determine which is worse.
/
While the statistics asserted by the writer is a fiction of his imagination, the point he intended to make is that Nigerians are as bad as they come and he is correct. Apart from the popular crimes such as drug dealing, scamming and armed robbery, the average Nigerian is criminally minded. Even those that are engaged in supposedly legit businesses use deceptive means to swindle their customers. The case of someone using the back of a tin to measure a cup of garri is one of such criminal activities. Collecting some sort of bribe and even giving is also a criminal act. These are some things that are very hard to live without doing in Nigeria because of how degenerate the country has become, so someone will not be wrong to say most Nigerians are criminals.

CrimeRe: Why I Don’t Like Nigerians By Robert Lindsay, A US Citizen by Afam4eva(m): 9:57am On May 17, 2017
Before we come for the writer's head, we should ask ourselves if he/she is right. I think to a large extent, the writer is right. Majority of Nigerians are criminals without them even knowing. They only think people who rob banks and scam people directly are criminals. If you've ever paid or received bribe implicitly or explicitly, you're a criminal.

Why did you do it? I really want to know what was going on in that mind of yours when you started typing 5 years ago.
If it's not play play then what is it. Do you want to commit suicide on top of the matter? Or i'm i a Nigerian politician that you voted for?
