Christianity Etc › Re: Reno Omokri Writes About Wedding, Christianity And Church by AFONAMARO: 9:59pm On Jun 20, 2020 |
Righteousness89: Not completely correct!
A Marriage needs to be Blessed! Someone who stands as a Representative of GOD needs to Bless the Marriage. E.g Pastor, priest, etc
GOD ALMIGHTY in the Beginning Blessed Adam and Eve..
Gen 1:28..
The Blessings spoken to a couple is important!
All the other things are not really important!
Modified; Ignore what people say! GOD ALMIGHTY is a God of Order.
Parental Blessings are good and important
But do not ignore the Blessings of your Pastor, priest ,etc.. it's very important
The parents of the couple, especially their fathers, stands in that gap. Let's stop complicating our lives |

Kenplay: With my personal Experience, Observation and inner conviction, I think I dont want to be part of any religion again. This thing is truely an opium of illusion meant for people who cant take their destiny in their hands and for a sheeple masses.
Despite withdrawing from religion I found myself even having a better moral compass which I cant explain. We are throwing away common sense, hardwork and universal principles to leave in illusion. At the end of my observation I have come to the conclusion that its what you do for yourself that counts more.
When I see poor people dying of hungry in a country which have the capacity to be the global industrial hub I know we have throw away common sense, Nigeria biggest investment to South Africa is Religious buildings (Church) while here in Nigeria the South Africans brought us MTN, DSTV, SHOP RITE e.t.c which employs thousands of people and gives profit to our Investors inventing in the stocks and shares of those companies I realise religion is lack of common sense.
No amount of religion can make you succesful without application of common sense. No amount of religion can make your marriage succesful without application of common sense and consideration for your partner. No amount of religion can a nation grow and prosper without application of common sense, productivity and good policies.
At the end of it I think am leaving religion, its not worth it. Even uprightness and moral comes from a person inner conviction and not because of religion. Religion is our biggest problem in Nigeria. Here (Nigeria), we confuse Christianity for Religion. In a bid to prove how religious we are, we end up chasing dogma and carrying it on our head like gala. Eliminate religion in Nigeria, our problem becomes non-existent |

festacman: For Davido and Wizkid, the organizer, Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET) was smart enough run away from controversy. I am sure Burna boy will not be happy with the organizer.
I disagree on Tiwa Savage's double. Yemi Alade's song with Angelique Kidjo was likely to lead to searches by worldwide fans of Angelique. Yemi Alade should be in there.
I also disagree on Alibaba as the most popular comedian today. No doubt, Alibaba is doyen of comedian in Nigeria but if the keywords are popularity and currency, AY should be in there.
In summary, I think this list looks hastily put together to generate controversy and draw attention and publicity to Nigerian Entertainment Today (NET). Are you saying AY is wealthier than Alibaba? |

Family › Re: Aaa by AFONAMARO: 3:24pm On Jun 13, 2020 |
Xj2020: If you are good you are good, and if you are bad you are bad. You might hide your bad side for a while. However, it is only a matter of time before everything would come out to the open.
My story is that of a young chap that fell in love and got married to the women of his supposedly dream with kids. From day one till date, my beloved wife has been anything but a good housewife. She doesn't give me peace of mind. Always looking for ways to provoke me.
My wife isn't submissive. She is abusive and unappreciative of all I have done and have been doing for her and the children. This is in spite the fact that the financial burden of the house has been mine 100% from the beginning till date. This is a woman that does not want to do any kind of work if it is not government job. I have provided her with everything she asked for and even those things she didn't ask for. This woman has never lacked anything in my house till date.
My beloved wife insults me in the presence of our kids. Mind you, I don't smoke, drink and womanize. Neither have I laid my hands on her or intend on laying my hands on her. This is a woman I help with house chores like sweeping, washing the bathroom and toilets and mobbing the house at my leisure time.
This woman has taken sides against in the time past when I had misunderstanding with some persons outside. This woman isn't scared to insult my parents every time we have a misunderstanding. My mother-in-law isn't helping matter as she has continued to instigate her daughter against me.
I have finally made the decision to move out of the house for the now and see how things plays out. If things doesn't improve, then I would have no choice than to seek for divorce. Notwithstanding, the children would continue to be my responsibility.
Any matured advice would be highly appreciated from the house. You willingly surrendered your manhood (your symbol of authority) on the alter of being a Mr nice guy. Believe you me, you can only reclaim your manhood when you put your foot down and take charge of your household. No long talks here. State how things are to unfold in your home and ensure to follow it through. If your mother in-law interferes, ensure her presence (both verbal communication) is limited to her husband's house. Take charge of your home and stop running from pillar to post when the goal post is before you |

Romance › Re: I Have A Boyfriend But I'm Falling In Love With Someone Else. by AFONAMARO: 11:31pm On Jun 08, 2020 |
Happy989: I started dating my boyfriend months ago and even before we started dating we've been good friends. He is intelligent, funny, has a great personality and takes good care of me. When he asked me to be his girlfriend I was so happy, because he is such a great guy. My boyfriend is in his final year in the same university that I attend. I'm still in my second year.
There is this guy in my department who is very good looking and also intelligent. He isn't jovial and extroverted like my boyfriend, but he is cool in a very confident and attractive kind of way. We started talking recently and he told me he finds me attractive. I told him that I have a boyfriend and he didn't seem fazed and never talked about the subject of my relationship. He still complimented my body and looks from time to time even though I didn't respond to his compliments in a way that indicated that I was in support of his actions.
During this covid-19 break we began talking more often over the phone and through texts and I always found our conversations interesting. A lot of times we'd talk till midnight. He is very witty and creative with words and I always smile whenever I see his texts or receive his calls.
Few weeks ago we talked about sexual fetishes and I realized we both had similar fetishes. This made him even more interesting because I found myself able to talk about stuff I hadn't talked about with anyone before, not even my boyfriend. This guy is not like anyone I've ever met before. His views on life are very unique and original and his personality is so complex and his sexuality is very intriguing.
The problem now is that I am beginning to develop strong feelings for this guy. When he calls me on the phone I don't wish the call to end. I find myself talking to him for minutes not minding the time. He is beginning to occupy my thoughts a lot and I don't know what to do. I still love my boyfriend but there is something about this guy that just seems to draw me to him.
I don't want to do anything that will break my boyfriend's heart. As soon as he gets in between your thighs, all the enthusiasm about talking to and with you on phone every second will end. His focus will change and your lust for him will wipe off your eyes. Only that it will be too late for you then to realize you had lost a good man. From your above illustrations, it's glaring that the young man is all physical about you and cannot wait to have you in his bed. But i tell you, you will so hate yourself after allowing yourself to be used as a sex practical tool. Lust and infatuation will not allow you to see that you are chasing ant while you have elephant on your head |

SamuelAnyawu: No blood transfusion. So if I am shot on the roadside and some good fellows rushed me into a nearby health facility. I'll explain to the doctor that I need no blood transfusion and will rather die than accept blood from a donor
Even as a Catholic no be every Catholic doctrine I dey swallow. I do religion with my common sense Religion is man made dogma, and that's exactly what we (Nigerians/Africans) practice instead of Christianity (laid down examples by Jesus Christ). Untill we learn to separate dogma (man made pattern of worship aimed at exploiting people) from Christianity, we'd keep chasing shadows and springing up various business ventures (churches) in the name of Christianity |

I have considered my pocket and sincerely with the present situation if I don't cut down my expenses it will be hard on us.
For almost two months now no salary. I have explained to her but she is not pleased with me.
How should I go about this matter please? The child belongs to the both of you, and you have done what you could offer at the moment. If she isn't satisfied, tell her to use her resources to throw an elaborate party as she deem fit. After all, the child is equally her's |

XhosaNostra: Yes. In fact, I was obsessed with him. I'd watch everything he did. I knew his whole schedule. Basically, I stalked the guy He was so handsome though, I couldn't help myself. After months of stalking, I started planning meeting him. So one evening as he returned from work, I decided I was going to throw away the trash, which means we were going to bump into each other on the stairs I didn't wanna make it too obvious, so I dressed in normal "house clothes". I'm one of those people that look more attractive when I'm a little shabby & dirty, so I went in for the kill in my grimiest look I can pull Anyway, we crossed paths for the 1st time & we both nodded our greetings as we passed each other. After two or more such orchestrated meetings, we had a chat. He said something & my dreams literally came true in that narrow staircase Long story short, he wasn't what I expected. After a few chats, I lost interest in him. I wouldn't call him dumb, but he wasn't too bright lol. All big & beautiful with a tiny brain You are sapiosexual, i guess |

chillex8: My own experience is simple. Out of three tenants that moved in together, am still the last man standing. First Lady got sick and couldn’t renew her rent, then left. Second guy had issues with his business and couldn’t renew his rent and left. Before he left, he visited me; asking if I didn’t notice any change in my life/business since I moved in. I replied No.
My third year here and am still standing tall, maybe cos am a night crawler. I hardly sleep at home. I don’t entertain visitors. Even when am home, I park my car far away and sneak in. Till date none of my neighbors or landlord knows what and what is inside my house. I have no known itinerary. I don’t cook at home too. Lol.
Infact, I spend most of my days in my family house elsewhere.
Am still looking at my landlord with okpolo eyes though. Better plan moving ASAP |
