Dexpro:Abacha was not pretending to be democratic. He was ruthless and unapologetically so. No democratic tenure can rival the brutality of military rule. Abeg comot Abacha from that your comment. |
The young man didn’t even get the chance to live to the fullest. He was denied the chance to make his own business mistakes. Ultimately, he was denied the opportunity to transform his community. Nigeria has lost another potential problem-solver to the hot lead from the gun of yet another trigger happy police officer. This officer deserves curses. |

Michellekabod2:Thank you. The fact that you share my comments without prior or subsequent engagement, and without response to my inquiries (as expected of civil conversation), is unusual and irksome. Also, it is not something I actually want to be aware of. one down. Adios.I wish we had the option to reject certain followers on Nairaland. |
Michellekabod2:So, it took a “thunder faya you” to get you to respond. Feminists are weird. ![]() Unfollow me if you aren’t about to toast me. Also stop sharing my posts. Thank you. No time.
|
This thread is good for derailment. ![]() Michellekabod2 How far? What’s the deal with you? Why are you following me? You represent my village people? If so, thunder faya you. |
Ruiz will go down. Anthony Joshua should panelbeat his face for us. |
![]() Femi Falana SAN, is a blessing to activism and the human rights struggle in Nigeria. A staunch supporter of Fela (his client) in his younger days, and now, in his old age, a relentless constitutional Lawyer and human rights activist. I’m glad we have him around. I believe there are people willing to take on the mantle after him. Respect to you three.

Fadomero:More shares than likes? This is why we can’t trust Nigerian polls. Sentiments must enter the mix.

emaopel:Private hospital that still refer cases to general and teaching hospitals? Truth is government hospitals have the best equipment and personnel. I never used to believe it until several doctors told me over the years. If you are not rich enough to afford expensive private hospitals, please go to general hospitals. Why? Cos you are sure that the doctors, pharmacists and nurses are all qualified. You see these normal private clinics around, many of them cut corners. Some of them employ quacks. So, go expensive or go general. |
freeze001:You are reluctant to blame the thieves. Instead, you are blaming the government. That is Rubbish. Why? Because the leaders we have today were selected from among us. Or were they imported from Cameroon? There are too many criminals posing as normal people in Nigeria and the sad thing is that they have sympathisers like you to help make a case for them. Robbers just stabbed a young woman in the neck in Lagos, a couple of days ago. According to your logic, we should blame the leadership for not creating jobs for those murderers. These railway thieves endangered the lives of passengers by damaging the tracks, but somehow the leadership is to blame. |
Officialgarri:He is very proud of his son. I would be proud too. |
Ariza:I have seen your kind before - toxic misandrists skittering online, hoping to measure côcks with men. But that is redundant, really. You see, you will never measure up. You have no balls, for starters. If you did, you would notice the underlying issue (that led the OP to her question) and you’d have the sense to address it instead. Some guys would say you need a man to “handle” you. I say you don’t. You should go and fix yourself before burdening any man.
|
maynation:How did “pervert” enter this matter now?
|
Sh pode:Exactly. Make una free the innocent guy. |
ePoster:Okay. ![]() Nice observation. You really cannot blame NL guys. We have become providers too early in life. We have had to perform the roles of “assistant daddy” to women who are our peers. The ones I really pity are those corpers in relationships. You and your boyfriend are collecting the same stipend but he must be “caring” and “responsible” for your basic needs. Ladies need to do better. |
nlPoster, is that you? ![]() |
Oluwasaeon: ![]() Brotherly. You’re rude. Is this all you can say after reading all she wrote? ![]()
|
englishmart:Context is lost on you. You’d make a terrible judge. |
Well said. With the growing trends for gender equality in Naija, one would expect that there would be a significant rise in marriage statistics specifically between two young people who are on “equal” footing, financially. But no. The opposite is the case. These “strong” Women are still trying to fleece guys everywhere. They have “high” standards and refuse to settle for guys on their level. ![]() Perhaps they don’t realise that guys have standards too. If you want to equate your beauty to a man’s wealth, then you’d better be exceptionally beautiful. If not, then you are joking. These women should examine themselves. The guys who meet those standards would probably not be interested in women who set standards they themselves cannot match. |
The OP has standards. But men with those standards don’t think she’s up to their own standards. Life is a pot of beans... and dodo. |
NaijaTalkTown:Mehn I’m so embarrassed to have read the nonsense he wrote. I have seen childishness in adults but his own is on a whole new level. Na small boy mentality dey worry am. No vex. |
WINDSOW:This is why you shouldn’t be in a haste to pass judgment. He didn’t write only WASSCE. He wrote other O Level exams. That means he didn’t spend 17 years writing O Level. Read the article again. At most, he would have spent 9 years writing those exams. He meant to say O Level (3 exams a year) instead of SSCE. |
He probably meant he wrote O’Level exams. SSCE is once a year, no way he spent 17 years when there are options of GCE and NECO. He probably spent 6 years writing 3 exams a year, or at most 9 years, writing 2 exams annually. I know someone who spent 8 years writing “JAMB”. He graduated with a 2-1. We celebrated when he got into university. |
MrBrownJay1:Lol. Basketmouth joked about violence against women. Same as your previous comment. Definitely not apples and oranges. But okay. As to the reason for hitting a woman, of course, I say, don’t hit a man if you’re not ready to defend yourself like a man. Femininity is not an excuse to go about assaulting men. She may meet men who think a woman is not worth hitting, conversely, she may meet men who would love to demonstrate that there can be equality even in violence. |
MrBrownJay1:Joke? They came for Basketmouth because of a joke. |
Beat? Like beat her at chess or FIFA? Cos you cannot be talking about needless domestic violence. |
ahahnow:Prepare your mind to endure a little longer. Only a job/business can bring you the money you need. What are your qualifications? What are your skills? Find a small job for starters and move up from there. You’ll notice that a measure of respect will be accorded you when you start going to work every morning. You must save aggressively in order to afford a manageable accommodation. All the best. |
congrats bro. However, you had NO RIGHT to drop that silent fart. ![]() |
