yinkus6750: They should keep on dreaming. 2027 is by the corner. Selfish interest will never allow the merger to be successful. The three former candidates, Atiku, Obi & Kwakeanso, should shelve their personal ambitions, and bring out a neutral credible candidate as the merged parties presidential candidate. But is that possible ? Indeed; I agree perfectly with you. They should all shelve their plans and support Bukola Saraki. |

Atatukseeker: TLS is at No 39 Adeola Odeku VI. Meanwhile while I was driving I saw another TLS at Ajose Adeogun area when you turn the EKO hotel roundabout. I heard it’s still at IKOYI. But they only have 2 French collection center. Other TLS is For UK. French is separately Okay then, maybe they have opened a new office on Adeola Odeku. That building you showed the picture is the now defunct Hubmart. 39, Adeola Odeku, Banksome building should be the one after the Cash and Carry outlet. Its a relatively new building. Very narrow and tall. What you have at Ikoyi is the French Consulate itself. |

Atatukseeker: Please is this TLS contact address for France visa biometric. 39 Adeola Odeku Street, Victoria Island, Lagos? damkanlinsin: Yes that is the building the tall glass building beside zenith bank No oh. To the best of my knowledge TLS is on Ajose Adeogun, VI some 30 metres away from Eko Hotel roundabout. It is very close to Zenith Bank Head office, so you can use Zenith Bank Head office on Ajose Adeogun as landmark. damkanlinsin: Please is there parking space at tls lagos No parking space, but you can settle the security of nearby offices and then park your vehicle there. |

Athena6: I was actually given this advice months ago when the dollar was 950 or so but my thought process was that the dollar might come down and I will lose money 😔 even now, I made the calculations
If I use 4M to buy dollar, that will be 3200 dollars and if dollar increases, say 2000 by this year ending or so, I would make an extra 2.4M but if dollar decreases I will lose a lot of money.
Nigeria is a very weird place, the dollar market is so unpredictable. I am still thinking of it sha Since the plan is to travel abroad, money kept in dollars is secured and would not lose value. |

They do this a lot ,to find a new freedom, which is not so on a long run! But Indians - Female don't do so to their Male Counterparts ,as they hardly get divorced! So,what is wrong with Black Africans? What an irony! Indian wives have upper hand in the marriage right from their home country, which is not so with African women. |

Crime › Re: I Think I Might Have A Case Of Money Laundering by agabusta: 3:49pm On Oct 03, 2023 |
Nairaland1stson: I have suspicion that someone wants to use my account to launder money. A lady visited my shop demanding to purchase goods worth millions of naira she was so much in a hurry or desperate for someone who intends to perform such transactions. She was accompanied by a man she claimed to be her sick husband, two kids, and another young man. She claimed she needed to perform the transaction as soon as possible so she could travel down to a neighboring state for her husband's treatment.
There was no much negotiations as it seemed she was the one begging for the goods to be sold to her. After confirmation she said I should bring my POS machine so she could make a transfer, I already had suspicions on her so I told her i didn't have one and besides who would want to perform transactions worth millions of naira with a POS machine mode of payment. I suggested that she heads to the bank or make a transfer from her mobile app, which she shrugged off immediately like it was not even an option.
The young man with her insisted I get a POS vendor so that the transaction can be made which I declined and told them that there were many around the vicinity that they can go get one if they wish to. The young man left and returned a few minutes later with one, when they arrived the woman suddenly said she was scared and needed to invite the person who referred her to our place. She called this person and he arrived shortly, he was someone known to us in the past but not well known. She then requested that I get another POS vendor, which I suggested that they should get back the previous vendor they invited earlier. The young man went back again and returned with the vendor. The woman gave the vendor a debit card, which the vendor tried pulling the whole money at once, but it didn't go.(exceeded limit) The POS vendor then proceeded to split the money and it was successful. So she was only able to make part payment for the goods.
They were about to leave when I reminded them that I was supposed to issue a receipt for the part payment deposited into my account. Which I did later, and they left. Fast forward to the evening same day, she called me claiming that her husband's health was demanding much, and she wouldn't be in need of what she purchased earlier that I would have to refund her immediately.
What rose my suspicions on them are:
1. The acclaimed husband of hers, whom she claimed had stroke as at when they visited the shop, I saw him earlier when they alighted from a Keke napep which dropped them across the road and he was walking very fine but when they began to approach my shop he began to limp like he couldn't walk properly and the woman held his hand for assistance (they didn't know that I had seen him earlier walking properly without any form of aid) when they were at the shop, the acclaimed husband who had stroke sat and crossed his legs, is that even possible for someone suffering from a stroke?
2. Why would they insist on only POS mode of payment (for a transaction worth millions)
3. Why would a woman whose acclaimed husband is sick with stroke decide to perform such a transaction (her pirioty should be making sure her husband is taken care of medically)
4. I know you must be wondering what it is she bought, but I will not be disclosing such for privacy reasons (Hint: it is a single item)
5. She was incoherent when I asked for the name and address that would be added to the receipt (it seemed like she was guessing the name and address)
What are your thoughts? Should I refund the money immediately, if I will, what are the measures to be taken to ensure I am on a safe side The simple thing to do is to ensure the money is refunded into the account it came from. |

Funkyswagzz: Tinubu was very careless with his credentials. The mistakes he made is what is hunting him now. If people didn't notice something funny atiku wouldn't have gone this far to find out for sure what tinubu was hiding its common sense. When u look at his admission letter F is boldly written there, the certificate he submitted to inec looks fishy, even the college he went to says he graduated in 1970 while the school started in 1974 including his date of birth. Frankly speaking the guy was totally careless The F for female was on a transcript from college not on the University Admission letter. On the CSU admission letter, he was referred to as Mr. Tinubu. Kindly correct yourself and stop propagating wrong info. |

Racoon: 2. The certificate (we call it “diploma” in the US) that Tinubu submitted to INEC is inconsistent with the certificates CSU issued in 1979 and subsequently, indicating that Tinubu forged his.
Although he did legitimately graduate from Chicago State University in 1979, he obviously lost his certificate and, instead of applying for a replacement, decided to forge it. That strikes me as mysterious self-harm.
https://www.facebook.com/47904265/posts/pfbid0ene8SL2CbrDgsVreTZRcSfiocKCBVZc2beQsVAGoLG5qLAe5eGAdvFKrr8gtip46l/?mibextid=2JQ9oc That is an assertion from Someone else. The University, CSU itself said the diploma Tinubu has, the format matches that of others they have issued to students in the past. Are you not supposed to quote the University directly? Why quoting another person that is not a spokesman for the University. That is how fake and distorted information spreads. |

maasoap: I don't know why it is hard for Nigerian politicians and their supporters to accept defeat without further bringing disgrace to this country! Just look at how they're dragging the name of this country and causing us international embarrassment just because they don't know when to accept defeat It is sad. The simple reason is because they harbour bitterness and hatred. Not just because they oppose the other candidate on the basis of sound principles. Therefore when the person they hate so much wins, it becomes unbelievable to them. And the hatred and anger grows, they then start behaving like a bull in a China shop. |

sweetgala: It's a simple typo the difference between "Bola" and "Fola" is one alphabet and it's evident that Tinlubu was a bastardization of the name Tinubu by someone who is foreign to the Yoruba names.
Even within Nigeria people have their names misspelt by fellow Nigerians who should know better. My own name has been misspelt while in university and honestly I just left it for over 2 years before correcting it just before I graduated because I didn't want the error to go into my transcripts and certificates. Instead of learning from this your humble submission, they'll abuse you and call you a slave. This country is something else. Our people has turned to something else because of bitterness. |

delpee: It's possible to issue replacement certificates. Even at that, they don't keep copies. It's not a Nigerian University!
The point is that, as clearly stated by CSU, it's of no importance to them. What is of value is his transcript which validates his having passed through the institution. You can have fake certificates easily but it isn't easy to get a fake transcript. That is the mistake they keep making! Their thinking is skewed to the Nigerian University records system. The University is telling them that transcript is the main thing. So far the transcript and credits are in the records, it suffices that you went through the institution. |
