Firstly, have you ever wondered why Nigerians and other Africans who emigrate to the US do so well? They are all blacks you know.

The American blacks have an oppressed mind set and it has cascaded down generations.

Have you heard of the 13th ammendment? That was the ammendment towards the freedom of slaves. Let me quote it here so you understand.

Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

Take note of the part in bold. I know there was a crime at the time. I can't remember the name. After the abolishing of slavery, they needed workers on plantations. Think of half of Nigeria being farmlands with blocks picking cottons. All of a sudden, they are free. This farms would collapse. The crime simple arrested you if you were jobless or seen in a group doing nothing. Maybe playing cards. You would be arrested and returned back to the farm. Just imagine that paranoia and fear among blacks. Their self esteem and confidence would be completely eroded.

Let's fast forward. In the 1990s, Bill Clinton in collaboration with lobbyists built prisons all over America worth about $30b. The problem was, they did not have that many prisoners to fill it. They conjured a new law called the 3 strike rule. If you are arrested three times for a misdemeanor, you would get a long prison sentence.

It costs about $50k to manage a single prisoner in America. It's and out sourced service to the connected. No prisoner, no 50k.

I just gave a summary of the problem. Some of the crimes black commit are conjured to fill up the prisons. They have no confidence in themselves and according to the 13th ammendment, slavery was not abolished in totality.

Stop thinking they are lazy, commit crime etc out of choice. The system is built that way.

Great point. Is it not like the same situation like south Africans that many of our good for nothing "brothers" that emigrated there started calling them lazy. To be oppressed for generations is no joke. It messed the mind up and your expectations out of life will be lower. I used to work in one of top energy companies in the US in very technical R& position. When my immediate white colleagues realized that I was a tough nut to crack because I simply did not give a "fvck" about them as someone from Africa, they started doing politics. When it got to them and knowing I was very good at my job and I couldn't be fired without solid reason, they started saying I needed to start speaking like an American. Imagine, I left their job for them. So, it's easy for some who are ready to kiss asses to come here to spew trash. Because that's what they know how to do best, to spew trash. They can't make a living without the whiteman.

Blacks do all sorts of dirty jobs in America

Blacks work as cleaners and bartenders which make them susceptible to the virus

Blacks and other minorities work as toilet cleaners, hospital attendants and security guards who open and close doors for customers and these make them more vulnerable than their white counterparts

Blacks are more ravaged by illnesses such as diabetes, HBP, etc due to the ever increasing inequalities in America, caused by whites. More whites have access to healthcare than blacks...most of whom cannot afford the bill.

Blacks are also so backward because they mostly depend on government for everything. Only those who dare the challenge among them stand tall.

I was in Washington DC a few years ago for an event culminating in my meeting with Barack Obama at the daughters of the american revolution ( DAR) hall. I was the only one invited from Nigeria for that great event which drew more than 1000 people of like-minds from across the globe. The population of black to white in that hall was like 5/95. I looked everywhere, na soso white heads I dey see. I now looked odd amongst them.

Amazingly, all the cleaners, guards, security personnel, luggage carriers, drivers engaged in that event were blacks. I went to a lady to claim my tag who was also black. She didn't know why I was feeling moody. She asked if i was ok and I smiled and said yes, ma'am.

Blacks are seen everywhere doing the low cadre jobs. There's no how they would not touch mall railings, use toilets, carry infected garbage, open the doors to customers enter and leave the mall, etc. I hardly see white Americans doing these. People should check it...only a meagre number of educated Americans and celebrities are infected.

In Spain and italy, whites are mostly affected by the pandemic. The natives do those jobs earlier mentioned there mainly. That's why the reverse is the case in those countries.

Similar experience when I used to attend conferences. Occassionally the only blacks I ran into were Nigerian or someone from other west african countries. Maybe out of a crowd of 500 attendees you may have 3 blacks. And these 3 blacks may be non America or just one of them may be American. Reason why 77% of black doctors in America are Nigerian. My heart breaks in such situations. The fact that this is the only society they can claim make it look like an hopeless situation to be. People like us can carry our luggages and run back to Nigeria if we wish to go start afresh. But thank God, these days few of them are resettling in some African countries.

I have stories like this where blacks are neglected when they demand to be tested. The same happened to one of the young Nigerian that died of Convid-19 in the US. A black chap I follow on the social media who had Convid-19 was virtually chased off the hospital bed even though he was not 100% fit and the white nurse was even threatening to call security to come get rid of him. I am a Nigerian that live in the US, I am under no illusion. Though I may live in a nice neighborhood, I will get treated same way any black (drug-addict) on the street get treated.

A lot of revelations will come out once the whole Convid-19 problem die down.

And currently there is a opioid drug epidemic in America that kills white in the tens of thousands. In 2018, over 35000 white people died from opioid overdose. Much more than black people. The only reason it is not affecting the black community as much is because white doctors had stereotyped their black American patients and never trust them enough to prescribe opioid drugs to them, and in so doing indirectly and unintentionally protected them from opioid. Stop commenting, you have no sense of reasoning. The virus is no racist and blacks are no targetted. Most black in America have underlying health conditions and cannot afford the health care system because they don't have money, no health insurance. You should understand how the world works even in Nigeria here. Rich and poor are never treated thesame, Educated and non educated are never treated thesame. Same thing happens everywhere even in America.

If you are based in America, you probably don't know how the system work to keep people down. In Nigeria, at least back in the days, I know kids who were from the slums but attended the same public schools with kids of fairly well to do families. Education is not the sole determinant of whether you will be successful in life or not, neither is it poor or rich parental background. If you are brainy kid from a poor home back in the days when Nigeria wasn't has terrible, and you went to public school, maintaining a network of school friends from middleclass home is enough. In America, it does not work that way. Where you live is what will determine and shape your future. Your only option is that runned down public school where all the kids are from lower class poor families. You have no chance to breakaway from that environment. It's like being condemned for life.

Have you never heard of people nude pictures been taken in hotels sometimes? Those pictures were taken when cell phone was not around, so they used age old cameras. It's likely a setup. She even said it could have been when she was admitted to hospital.

It's not just about not marrying a Nigerian woman from Nigeria. It's more of only marrying a woman you are already in longterm relationship with in Nigeria before you travel or getting to woman who is equally a citizen or has residency like you. In such situations if you happen to travel after marriage and she join you, the motivation to mess up is not there because she married you when you were just your normal hustling self. But when you go to Nigeria to pick a woman, it's a recipe for disaster. First, she most likely doesn't love you and only followed you to a foreign land to escape poverty in Nigeria. Once you give her green card or residency then you will start seeing her true colour. Just mess up once and she will throw you out of the house. Often this is the case with marriages that end in divorce and bad stories.

The guy already admitted he messed up. He said his wife caught him with another woman. Often most power drunk Nigerian women will dump you because many of them are targeting the child benefits from government and child support from ex-husband. I ran into a uncle-family friend I knew in Nigeria in Toronto, his wife has sent him packing. I felt so sorry for him. I also have another relative/uncle in the US in similar situation. These are like crazy situation where the women seem to want to totally finish the man. I must admit it's often the men that initially did something wrong first. But this does not have to lead to divorce except if the woman has been looking forward to it. My spouse has caught me in such situations not just once but we are still together and typically I am an extremely controlled individual (no side relationships). I think there are couple of factors, we dated for about 10 years from her teenage years in Nija before we got married and she is catholic. And per career, I am someone she always look up to. Most Nigerian women will dump.you once they are in a position you have nothing to offer them or they won't be getting some benefit from the union.

There is one spirit that normally enters Nigerian women once they get to Canada, they always believe they can survive and live a better life without a man.

It's not just Nigerian women, it's a black problem. Once they have a job some assume they can be independent. In reality they can but that's if they wrongly assume that the basis of a union between a man and a woman should be determined mainly by financial status.

That's what messed up African American families in the US. One of the past presidents deliberately came up with social service support that give benefits and housing to jobless black single mothers which encourage a lot of black single mothers to have children out of wedlock. I visit Canada and the US from time to time, but on this my last trip I could not but observe just how extremely lonely Nigerian girls are there. Why did they immigrate in the first place? What did they expect what waiting for them on the other side? A man gift wrapped in iced sugar?

Great and factual contribution. Something many of us already know but we hardly talk about. A Nigerian lady that emigrate alone may have a tough time finding partners. Many of people in my circle of friends in Canada came as married couple, mainly as graduate students because if husband/wife get admission, he/she can bring the other spouse. It's a problem. If a lady travel alone to any western country it's very likely she will end up as a spinster. It seem to be worse in Canada because population of Africa migrants is not that huge in cities outside Toronto or Montreal.

A woman had a baby and probably in the euphoria of delivering a new born and possibly with no pictures taken of her own child decided to scan the internet for a picture. She probably sent this out right after child birth. But nonetheless she ought to have wait to take her own baby picture. Usually pictures taken right after child birth is done by the husband or close relatives present. I suppose no one was there to do this for her. You folks need to have some emotional intelligence and be able to figure out why people do things they do sometimes.

There are underlying factors why blacks were affected more in these communities. Poor access to healthcare, many already had health issues, poor neighbourhood where social distancing was not practicable.

But a lot of black people have died in the US. In Chicago and one other city where black people are only about 30% of the population, over 60% of those that died from Coronavirus were black people. You have to ask if any law was broken. A govt directive has less power than a law or regulation backed by law. Lagos state already enacted a law to back the stay at home order. I am not sure Katsina state govt did the same.

They are not capturing all deaths outside their facilities. Not every infected person came out openly to the facilities. I lost a friend in Lagos yesterday to Convid-19. He returned from London recently. And also there is a video shared on whatsapp of a guy that slumped on the street on Bode Thomas Road in Ilupeju. He was complaining of not been able to breath, a Convid-19 symptom. Lagos state officials should go to that street and investigate. I am 100% sure of my friend case. Its really sad.
