boostdom: The Chinese, Russian and German write the respective subjects you listed in their languages because they have adopted an efficient framework where those subjects can be comprehensively instructed in their languages. They are also their languages of examination. It is further testament to the relative advancement of their languages.
Now, has such a framework been adopted in WAEC? No. The languages of instruction and examination for the WAEC exams are English and French.
And BTW, there are Universities in Germany where English is the language of instruction and examination.
Objective rationality is not your forte and that you would call another person ignorant shows you lack any sort of critical thought. You obviously don't know jack about educating someone. The framework for an examination can be in English, but one can decide to teach someone the same subject using another language. It would actually improve the impact of the knowledge being passed. The Germans simply teach Physics in German as that is their language , Russians teach Chemistry in Russian as it is their Language . Note that the universities using English in Germany are following the same educational framework set out by the German government, thus it shows clearly that the language of instruction has nothing to do with the framework. You asked if Physics could be taught in Hausa, and I showed you that it can and you have also agreed that Physics is taught in various languages across the world. The language doesn't change the principle, the language only helps in understanding. Pick up any tech gadget and you'd see instructions in various languages talking about exactly the same things. |

How that is expected to play out in the Nigeria of today is one of the riddles that many are not considering. That one is speaks Hausa, or is even Hausa doesn't imply he/she isn't Christian. Not holding brief as to whether he's innocent or not but it's just so friggin clear there's more to this than 'fighting corruption'. Let the drama keep unfolding My guy, I am quite surprised at how Count 11 out of a 13 Count charges shows that the proceedings are politically motivated. Haba! Everywhere in teh world, an accused can be found guilty of Count 1, Not Guilty on Count 2, Guilty of Count 3 and Guilty of Count 4. It is normal. However, the report as presented by this journalist is quite a half-truth and it is intended to serve people looking for excuses to blame the Govt. The witness clearly stated that he got the evidences of the transfers, and corroboration of the UK personnel to determine that the property was bought by Saraki. What he said was that he did not see the physical mortgage papers for the transactions. The question to ask is this: How did GTB finance a mortgage and claim not to have copy of the mortgage documents? The only way is simple: when the transaction is fraudulent and when one is trying to hide the facts. This report up there from the stable of the "Common Sense" Senator, a known supporter of Saraki is junk reporting. |

UmuEri: NLC is not divided, Ayuba controls 33 out of 35 affiliate unions, leaving just only 2 for Ajero supposed faction.
Note, that was why the Ayuba led NLC worked out of the meeting with the FG on Tuesday immediately the SGF recognised and called Ayuba a factional leader.
This got Ayuba infuriated, and he immediately stood up and worked-out of the meeting. As he stood up, all his colleagues stood and followed him immediately.
The meeting did not hold because the FG wanted to further polarize NLC, and Ayuba understood that and staged a Work-out.
Note, i was there Live. Bros this is at variance with the reason NLC adduced for walking out, or are you now making up other reasons for NLC? See the NLC version below: Nnadigoodluck: https://media.premiumtimesng.com/wp-content/files/2016/05/NLC1-e1455006523155.jpg
A last minute meeting between the federal government and Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, on Tuesday night to attempt to avert a nationwide strike over increased petrol price, collapsed mid-way as representatives of the organised labour staged a walkout on government representatives. The NLC says the talks broke down because the government refused to even consider its demand for a reversal of the price hike, and an earlier increase in electricity tariffs. The meeting, called by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal, was attended by the president of NLC, Aliyu Wabba, who led representatives of affiliate groups including Trade Union Congress, TUC, and civil society organisations. PREMIUM TIMES learnt that the meeting was barely an hour into its agenda when the labour leaders decided to stage a walkout after what they called the “refusal of government to accede to their demands”. The General Secretary of the NLC, Peter Ozo-Eson, who spoke with PREMIUM TIMES on phone shortly after leaving the venue of the meeting, said members could not continue to put up with the government’s unbending attitude towards their demands. “The talks with government broke down because it was not ready to address the issues the NLC placed on the table for discussion; so we left,” Mr. Ozo-Eson said. “The demands the NLC and its affiliates made formally in writing on Saturday were that government should first revert to the fuel price of N86.50 per litre before any other decision. “Again, we demanded that the electricity tariff imposed on the people last January should also be reversed. But, government said they were not ready to discuss such things. “They said they wanted to discuss minimum wage and palliatives. But, those were not issues we were ready to start any discussion with,” he said. Mr. Ozo-Eson said labour was not interested in listening to what offers government was going to make in respect of the two issues it offered to talk about, saying their interest was a complete reversal of the fuel price and electricity tariff. He said the government could not be talking about minimum wage first when most Nigerians are not even working and are being tasked further financially and economically by the hike in fuel price and increased electricity tariff.

Mcponpin: The Road to Nigeria's Delusion and Demagoguery - A people's determination to self destruct! When Jonathan tried the deregulation policy in January 2012, his price was N141 per litre. The price of crude oil was then $111.67 per barrel! We occupied Nigeria! Pastor Bakare, Fashola, Tinubu, All came out to lead protesters... The usual school of exposed but dim witted abroadians also demonstrated, abroad. However then, a basket of tomatoes was N3, 000, per basket, price of rice, N6, 000 per bag. Today, Buhari has done his own deregulation. Fuel price is fixed at N145 per litre. But the price of crude oil is just $46.00 per barrel. Will Nigeria be occupied??
I don't think so. We are under a spell.
Pastor Tunde Bakare, Bola Tinubu, Fashola are all in this Buhari's government, one way or the other. Price of tomatoes, jumped from N4,000 to N18,000 per basket! Price of a bag of rice, jumped from N7,000 a bag to N14,000 a bag! All, within ONE YEAR!!
Will the usual school of abroadians, nurtured in hypocrisy and gullibility, now begin to talk...!?? That is the question they themselves will begin to answer in the usual way of making a mockery of themselves..
Last week, one of these ones, told me, it is for a while; Nigeria is going to be better he said. So I say to him, Since you have this very strong convictions about Nigeria's future under this government, WHY DON'T YOU JUST PACK YOUR STUFF AND JUST COME BACK HOME, NOW!? Like he heard me, but pretended he didn't....
Such is the idiocy of their thinking.
And to the Nigerian Buharists..... You will now be engrossed with yet another little matter of simple mental sums - if crude oil was $111.67 when Jonathan deregulated at N141 per litre, what should the price of crude oil be now that Buhari has deregulated at N145 pee litre! It is quite a simple "Simultaneous" equation.
And if you would rather it is a "Quadratic" one, try this simple question: Bearing in mind, that, all other indices remain Not constant, in fact a double digit inflation, crippling economy, tripled foodstuffs prices, justify your position as a continuous, non thinking herd, in the cattle ranch of the Life Patron of the Umbrella body of all Fulani herdsmen, the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, and answer....!
DO you Not now, have more than enough reasons, through empirical Mathematical equations, to OCCUPY NIGERIA!? Let me also ask you the mathematical sum. How much was the dollar when GEJ deregulated and how much is the dollar now? Imagine that we paid N1.2tln as subsidy in 2011 alone, that was $10Bln. (Imagine how many refineries could have been built with this amount!) Now to your famed mathematics, GEJ's 141/l at Official rate(120/$) is $1.18/l; at Black Market rate (180/$) was $0.78/l The present price of 145/l at official rate (199/$) is $0.73/l and at Black market rate (320/l) is $0.45/l. This implies that fuel in real terms cost less now and reflects the lower cost of crude. However, we now have the advantage of having a Govt that would not squander the savings or steal our commonwealth blind. |

The answer is simple: Nigeria is making less money. and she has no savings to fall back on! If a man were to keep receiving less and less amount of money, and he has no savings, what do you think will happen to the standard of living of the family? Is it not normal that there would be problems? is it not normal that he soon won't be buying aso-ebis? The present problem is caused by 1. Nigeria squandering her earnings, 2. not having a robust foreign reserves and 3. the crash of crude oil prices. 2 out of the 3 causes were things a sane government would have handled and we won't be in this situation, but the Govt didn't handle them and we are in the present situation.
