emmasege: It's this kind of talk the proponent of the idea wants to hear. Nobody cared about where CAN president comes from until now that APC wants to use divide and rule. Have you forgotten that Onaiyekan was once the CAN President and he comes from the north? I'd prefer a candidate from any region, provided its devoid of political interference. Everyone knows that the south is the stronghold of Christianity in Nigeria and the anti-christs will do everything possible to create a distrust between the northern and southern Christians. So who is the Anti-Christ, the one that doesn't want Christians from a certain region or the one that says ALL Christians are eligible? |

loadeddice: i agree with you 100%. i was wondering N6300 for 1 month !!!!!!!!
with the old tariff i was using about N25k per month with 12hrs supply daily o! then now with new tariff, im almost using N40k per month with 9hrs supply daily.
abeg all those bio-diesel, garbage-to-light and its likes, i need una contact. im ready to try any other source of power. You guys are confusing ESTIMATED BILLING with Actual cost of Electricity! If the 9hrs of electricity you used in the month is computed at the 16.5/KwH, even if you were to put on 30 ACs and use 20KW each hour, you be paying 20 x 16.5 x 9, which is N2,970.00 But as normal, your Disco will charge you an ESTIMATE OF PROJECTED USAGE, which could, and usually is, crazier than your actual cost. To help yourself, get a Pre-Paid Meter to ensure you ONLY pay for the hours of electricity that you enjoy. |

I thought CAN is made up of Christians from ALL OVER NIGERIA!!!
Or is CAN saying the Northern Christians are less of a Christian than their Southern counterparts? Or is CAN saying the leadership of a Christian body has been previously influenced by the President (is this why Oritsejafor was elected?) and the reason for the CAN President's jet being used to buy arms?
There are some things that should not be said by religious organisations, this is one of them. |

Hmmm, that had never been in doubt, and no one alluded to it being released without a court order. The court order is TO MTN, because they are the owner of the rights to the call records and NOT THE PERSON BEING INVESTIGATED!!! The initial post you have been trying to say I am wrong about is reproduced below AGAIN, please read it and tell me which portion you actually have an issue with or which portion is wrong. Please read it slowly. Akainzo: EFCC doesn't require your consent to get details of your bank transactions from a bank, or your phone transactions from a Telecom operator. Both of these items are actually not your properties but that of the bank or telecom operator.
So once they obtain the requisite orders against the actual owners of the data, you the account holder or phone subscriber are inconsequential. |

Kindly get the latest on why and how iPhone manufacturers apple have refused to unlock one of the shooters phone. Pls research well and listen to int'l and local news and not dwell on whatever illegalities happening now in nigeria. God bless you brov Seems you are suffering from the effects of not being able to connect dots but looking at stuff in isolation. Like I have said, "Privacy" is not to be confused with "Ownership". Let me now help you on the Apple case as regards the Bernardino shooter. The FBI is not asking to have access to data already with the phone companies, they are trying to have access to PERSONAL DATA of the shooter which is stored locally on the phone. Local data is not to be confused with Call Record, Text Messages and Cloud data. Apple is rightly refusing to unlock the phone because the PHYSICAL PHONE is the property of the shooter and not Apple or the Telecoms company. So once again, I state to you: Do not confuse "Privacy" with "Ownership". |

One day she went to Rita Dominics birthday party at la campagne (rita is their family friend) and Rita saw the bag and loved it and insisted she wanted her own. If you want the card reader badly as a basis to ensuring that elections are free and fair then add it to the constituion and stop blaming the Supreme court for doing their job as it is written in our book( constitution) I guess the Courts should also start asking "Accused" to submit their Birth Certificate rather than International Passports since the Constitution says I am a citizen only based on Birth or Marriage but those not say International passport. The problem with your views is simply that you are analysing only based on the myopic view of APC vs PDP. By the way, that a party traditionally wins a state does mean the opposition cannot win that state at a point in life. The people in APC in Rivers or Akwa Ibom or Bayelsa are not Hausas or York, but friends, sons, daughters, mothers and fathers of the locals. They are Ikwerres, Ijaws, Kalabaris and Ogonis just as are in PDP. Lagos had 85% Card Reader use while Rivers had about 22% card reader use. The Tribunal in the Lagos instance held that the elections complied substantially (85%), could you in all honesty say that a 22% should be deemed as substantial compliance? linearity: I don't think that is what the judgement said, in summary, it is saying that; the card reader can be used side by side with the voters' register; but if there is a dispute or discrepancy, the voters' register supersedes.
In essence, I cannot be denied the right to cast my vote, if the card reader invalidates me, but my name is on the voters' register; which makes a lot of sense.
Even in the US, electronic machines are not used to validate voters on Election Day....when you go to your district to vote, your name will be manually lookup on the district hard copy printed voters' register and you will be asked to sign against your name on that printout before a voter's ballot will be giving to you, which you will tender at the entrance of the voting booth before been allowed to vote. Sure, however you failed to recognise that for your name to be on that Voters Register, you need to have a Social Security Number! For us in Nigeria, that Voters Card was the SSN. How do you decide that a Kehinde Taiwo is different from a Taiwo Kehinde when there is nothing to rely on other than a piece of paper? For your number to be in the database, it only needs to be in the Contact list of someone with TrueCaller app installed. Only the UNLIST process can mark the data as "Flagged Not To Be Displayed". To get your number into that state, one has to go through the UNLIST process. |

Even if u do what u just stated, someone somewhere with trucaller and has u as a contact will still give out d name ur number is stored with. Please understand what I wrote, your mum has to UNLIST her number from TrueCaller. One MUST enlist otherwise it will appear in the database so long as someone with TrueCaller has the number in their phone. So the keyword here is, UNLIST. |

lomprico: once u type any number, truecaller searches the www to locate any name tagged with that number, even if u dont have the app. when it first came out it used my facebook name to link my number, and that made me remove my phone number from fb. and also if i have truecaller app on my phone and ur number is among my contacts, its still links you to its data base, even if someone elese with d app dials that ur number, it shows d name i saved it with on my phone. for eg my mus still uses nokia touch phone (she prefers it for its simplicity and she has never had a smart phone) but if search her number in a strangers trucaller app, the name 'mum" appears.
it a nutshell we are all exposed to this. Actually, once you go through the UNLIST process of Truecaller, your name/identifier will not pop up again on anyone's phone so long as you uninstall Truecaller app from your phone. Even if someone with the Truecaller app has you as a contact, your details/identifier will not be updated. |

I guess we should be asking them in national assembly, and not the other way round......

Should chocolate cost less in Côte d'Ivoire because Switzerland imports cocoa beans from them? He that is talking, he licenses the movies shown by the SilverBird cinemas from US movie houses where movie tickets are $20 -$25, yet we pay N1,500 for it in Nigeria, are the movies not cheaper in Nigeria than US? Has he asked "how come?", he is only busy playing to the gallery. What India imports from us is crude (raw material) while what we are importing into Nigeria is Kerosene (refined product), therefore we would end up paying more for it as we are buying their product to sell in our country. Simple sense would have helped him. |
