manny4life: Apparently, you haven't been getting my point, that is why I stated to Aribasala0 about Madam NOI who wears African attire at the WBG. It's a diverse environment, hence why it's called WORLD BANK GROUP.Did you skip that part where the report stated that it was a Courtesy Visit TO Fashola! Since it is a courtesy visit, does it require that he, Fashola, be professionally dressed? |
hollandis:Unfortunately for you, YES, a housemaid enjoys all this, which is better than you currently brag about. Why wouldn't I apply for the job, simple, I need much more than the basics of life to keep me going. I need intellectual stimulation, I drive for achievements and I love adventures. That is why I am different from you and thus, my reasoning abilities and cognitive capacity are different from yours! |
hollandis: My prayer this year was not for me but for Nigerians like you that cant understand the difference between slavery/colonial mentality and patriotism so I am S(ing)MH @ u ,your governor and your president.Yes I am a 4th class citizen and I am enjoying light 24hrs ,water 24 hrs ,cheap food ,easily affordable housing ,cars ,nice friends with rich mind set and most especially clean unpolluted air.If I am a 4th class citizen and enjoying all these ,i look forward to the day i will be 3rd class ,then 2nd class citizen ,then first class citizen.I wonder what I will be enjoying thenThe housemaid in a typical rich man's house in Nigeria enjoys all this things you listed above (even better because he/she even has free food, free accommodation), however, at the end of the day, he/she is still a housemaid! |
babyosisi: They said the man went for a courtesy visit and people are celebratingPray, tell me where Obama has visited that US would not benefit from it? Should that stop Nigerians (or any other country) from celebrating that visit? So Google would benefit from the visit to Fashola, also, Lagos and its residents would benefit from Google. Or why do you thinks things are much cheaper in Lagos than anywhere else in Nigeria? Is that not benefit to residents of Lagos? Stop your beef and start to give respect to people that are being recognised for their good works, so much so that foreign SUCCESSFUL companies want to be associated or tap into such successes. |
GooseBaba: No! It's called dress sense.. You don't need riches to have that...Hmmmm, when you are rich, then you would learn the finer points of that "dress sense"! Schmidt wore a blazer not a suit, therefore it doesn't have to be colour matched with his pants. |
hollandis: and this is supposed to be a front page news...Nigeria is crap .If google chairman or whatever comes to my street .Who would give a shyte about him.Nigeria is really backward ,,just look at the replies here OMG plus SMHI am not sure where you live, but surely if Google chairman comes to your street and nobody gives a shyte, it would be he couldn't stop due to the poverty around there. It shows your level of mentality that you bothered to register and participate in a forum with people that you think are below you. My friend, many are far above you and they have the developed mentality to know that when the head of a technology compnay visits, it is big news! Oh, I forgot, you would be on the phone and ranting, should you see Kanye West on your street rather than Google Chairman, right? Nonsense! |
chosen04: I WITNESSED HOW A SIMILAR CASE WITH NBC PLAYED OUT..............My guy, that is the beginning you witnessed, the ending aint gonna be as rosy as you think. He would surely be invited, but good luck proofing that you drank a whole bottle before you now found out another was adulterated. The general problem is proving that you suffered a loss from an unopened bottle! How do you prove that? |
AK 48: Hello fellow nairalander, no need for too much grammar.Quite unfortunate, but this things should not happen! Your options are clear: 1. Take the bottle to a Nigerian Breweries office, you would be compensated for all the troubles. Your compensation would be another bottle or bottles + funds to cater for your transport and other sundry things 2. Sue them as advised by many here. Note that if you go option 2, it is your money that you would spend to hire lawyer, file case and go to court to prove that you suffered a loss from an unopened bottle. Now you would agree, that it is so hard to prove such loss and therefore, you would win compensation in the region of if you've gone Option 1. However, you would not get refunded your court fees and thus you would have spend so much money to get back to Option 1. Therefore, I would advise you, choose wisely. The lawyer would collect his/her fees, whether you win, lose or suffer monetary loss. |
ubong560: A lot of people get what we may call "LUCK" evryday receiving alert dat thier account has been credited with strange sum amount of money and the smart ones fastly got such sum withdrawn immediately to avoid future 'Had I Known'. My former boss once had his account with First Bank credited with more than N17m. My closed friend had his account with UBA credited with more than N11m and he was like mad going frm 1 ATM to another checking to confirm d amount inside and it was d same. He was scared of being traced by efcc if he removes it, but wen finally he made up his mind to go withdraw it, for where, the money had disappeared and he deeply bited his fingers regretting his dullness. As for my former boss, he went openly to d bank and report the strange sum to them. So many others happened wch cant be stated here.Your friend was very lucky that he didn't touch a single kobo of that 'lucky' funds. It could have landed him so much 'lucky' trouble with Police that next time when he wants to withdraw money, he would ask the cashier to re-confirm that the money is his. When you see a spurious credit, do not rush to collect it o! |
Melmo: I recently found out that my man has a son. So I surprised him and visited him at his home and I found pictures of his ex on his walls. He says its for his son so that when he comes to visit him he can have pictures of his mom around. How do I deal with this situation? You mean all this while, you hadn't been going to his house? How exactly was he your man?? |
utumunta: Buhari has everythn 2 do wt it! He handpickd candidates of d CPC and foisted unpopular candidates on d electorate. In return, d electorate casted protest votes agenst hz candidates. And they voted against his candidates by voting for CPC? You do need to read, comprehend, understand, digest and then reason things out before making a comment. The court nullified 10 candidates, but replaced them with 10 other CPC lawmakers. That shouldn't be hard to read and understand now... |
I will take the GREEN button. Life is all about the risk and 50% of $100 Million so much better than instant gratification of a million dollars. |
Cornel88: If not for the selected journalists, it would have gone either way. Those directly involved in the game who are eligible to vote are voting with sentiment.Nope, that is a fallcy! In the analysis of the votes, Messi won the Captain's votes, he won the Coaches votes and he also won the Media votes. And my guy it was not close. (And at all the global sites, he won the popular votes - votes by faceless people on the internet) Ronaldo even got a 0.1% vote by letting someone else vote on his behalf as Portugal Captain to ensure he gets the 5 Points as number one pick ![]() |
shagarri: In summary:Nope, in summary, MORE people (44% of the voting population) believe Messi was the best player in 2012. |
Pharoh: We have always known that sentiments will follow this kind of voting so i would have preferred a committee that distributes these awards among the players to encourage everyone of them. To imagine that amy wambach has never won the female world player of the year until now and any of those german or Japanese ladies too could not win it for the past four years says a lot about the voting process. In your company, would you accept a committee to distribute bonuses and not give you your due as the best performer just so they can encourage lazy folks to feel among? The BEST award is not shared, it is earned! |
FXKing2012: The voting process is extremely flawed, little wonder Messi won.It is now flawed right! It was the same method in place when Ronaldo won it in 2008, was it flawed then? You guys have to realise something, in any situation where there are votes, there will ALWAYS be sentiments (Voting for GEJ and not PDP remember?) Also, whenever there is a winner, there will stil be people who thinks someone else should win. In a democracy, if you win by 60% of the votes, do not forget that 40% of the population still did not think you deserve to win. That is how democracies and voting works. Get used to it and learn its tenets. |
ActiveMan: it is determine by fifa jere no mind all this people saying na captain they vote, can all of them come out and tell us who they voted for?Now that FIFA has published the raw voting results, I hope you would go to Zurich and tender an apology to FIFA. |
You are absolutely misinformed. I don't need any list from you. And for your own perusal, I got mine from the ADP office at IjebuOde. Fine, you were at the headquaters (Abeokuta) but I insists that Ogun state CANNOT have 20,000 farmers. You may want to know that my study covered SW Nigeria. My point ultimately is to suggest that really there may be as much as 10million farmers in Nigeria and that indeed a survey was carried out all over the country to arrive at that figure. You calling me a mo.ron or a backyard researcher, it's really not your fault. These days, we have many Tom, Dicks and Harry who call themselves 'graduates' too. We all know how JOBLESS, USELESS, LAZY and CORRUPT people who served in the Ministry were. Really, no fault of yours. We can easily guess the universities people like you graduated from.
As someone with added educational polish and training to Masters level, you should have addressed the issue differently in my opinion. He has asserted the source of his data, which from your response above, you clearly acknowledge is correct and at source. While your own data is from a secondary source, ADP. Now there could be convergence of the data. Could there be about 20,000 - 50,000 farmers in Ogun State but we do have up to 2 Million people working at farms across Ogun State. We do need to note that only the owner(s) of the farm are classified as farmers. |
When one "Likes" a post, is it because of the comment made or because he/she likes the poster? Just wondering how this is tendering towards stalking, etc |
Mbechun007: 8. Live with PurposeNaomi must not be very aware, otherwise she would have known how proud Okonjo's husband was. So much that he was getting all the services from somewhere else ![]() |
strangest: alleged graduate of Anwaru Islam College, Agege, Akachi, who hails from Anambra state begwong: . . .AND SONobody shouted that they are Islamic Schools! So why shout about Islamic banks? ![]() |
miqos02: When will mtn list on the nigerian exchange? Dem dey crazeThey did a private placement some years back (2007) and the thinking was that they would go public. Unfortunately, this has not happened and with this purchase now, looks less likely to happen. |
Overlord999: Lmfao. It's really funny & pitiful to find out that the last remnants of blackberry users in America hide their Bbs because they are being discriminated. Too bad Nigerians don't know that. Swithed from Bold 5 to Galaxy s2, Never going back to blackberry again, everything is just to outdated. Planning on buying Galaxy S3 or Galaxy Note 2. BlackBerry is dead, RIP RIM. IMHO Samsung Galaxy phones are currently the best. My fellow nigerians the world has moved on to Android & iphones, nobody wants blackberry anymore except in Nigeria & other African countries. Embrace technology & throw away that outdated brick called blackberry. I hope someday you will see the light. Enough saidYeah, I see that Obama hides his BlackBerry, Jay-Z as well. Kanye West, Beyonce and all others. Plus the various heads of the federal agencies across the world. The analysts said RIM would lose customers, but as the Q3 results show, they gained 2 Million more customers and had over a billion dollars in cash. Go figure that out. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Oi_eYPbtqoU |
mflexy8: "But as a rule things do not work that way. For example, Mr. Millard Drexler, CEO of J.Crew who sits on Apple's Board of Directors and committees for compensation, nominating, and corporate governance, is not a lucky owner of the iPhone 4S or any other iPhone product. In his hands you can see a BlackBerry Bold 9900"The money on your education was probably wasted. Please read the following statements slowly. You asked for the name of the Google director, so I provided it. As a bonus, I now also served you a link for someone on the Apple board. If you were intelligent you would have noticed these things, but of course, you aren't. |
Ayomax: u totaly wrong my frnd, wifi hotspot for bb just came out for new phns like bold7,da one u can find on bb app world can only share wifi to just 1 device unlyk android tht can share to 9 devices, multitasking functn tht where iphn n android hav da edge ova bb, i do open 7 diff applicatn at a time witout any prob, try openin just 4app wit bb mayb it wont hang, who told u android dnt ping alot, when i have whtapp n twoo applicatn, more ova u cant find iphn or android user displayin da phn for fashion like naija girls(wil cary hand bag n yet refuse to kip her bb insyd but prefer to hold it on her left hand so da world can knw she is rockin bb) painful part subscriptn no dey insyd. Try playin any HD game of ur bb maybe ur bb wont blow up, just admite it bb is useles witout subscriptn. U cant even enjoy radio lagos tiwatiwa when u dnt hav subscriptn on ur bb.lolDon't confuse the issue, BB has Wifi tethering on some range of phones just like not all Android phones have Wifi tethering. Multitasking is not just about opening multiple apps. In Android, until ICS, only the app on the foreground is working and using memory, the others are cached. On BB, ALL your open apps are active. That is true multitasking. Open 10 apps on the 9900 and show me how it slows down. |
mflexy8: U talk like one weaned with wild goat milk. Keep operating on the frequency of DAFTS. Anyone sensible will go researching on Wat he read. U just dey spill f*cktards anyhow, wasting bandwidth. Ur stupidity is part of why RIM is falling. Hear! Hear! Rim is disappointed that a slow poke like u can operate their smart phone. Bb will be Ur highest achievement if u continue Like this.As already recognized, you are a dimwit. |
mflexy8: Stop this Ur Google director talk. Give us his name n portfolio. Google is our friend. Sounds like a groundnut sellers gist joor. The guy's name is Eric Schmidt Apple board member: http://www.cellphonetrek.net/apple-representatives-spotted-using-blackberry.html |
KazaaUpload: Bros I can't agree with you more than you've put it. I went to the blackberry app world last week and it was like entering a time warp back to 2008. There are apps to smoothly run a business from your iPhone and the scary things is, most people only use 20% of its power. Same applies to Android phones also.As mentioned earlier, the Director of Google Inc, that uses a BlackBerry, is it because that it is the phone that Google issued him or because he does not know technology or he is so poor that he needs a cheap phone? You might also want to Google the No 1 smartphone in the UK for 2010 and 2011. |
mflexy8: Now I know how much beating Ur ego took cos of the article. Truth hurts, get over it. Still go back n read my 1st post, then u chill n THINK before making another senseless comment. This is not bbm. Kai.As it is, you are indeed a dimwit, apologies for thinking otherwise. I'd note your intelligence level next time. |
Ayomax: alot!!! Frm HD games to sharing(tethering n portable hotspot) of wifi to 9 enable wifi device, radio, best applicatn in da world, android mkt is da best (unlimitd softwares to download), faster browser, beta bat3 lyf, beta procesor, it does nt hang or always removin ur batry to reset, it dos nt boot like pc unlyk bb, best camera around, best map e.t.c da list is endlesYou my friend need to gather knowledge. Wifi tethering is on BB. "Best" application is a user definition, what is "best" for you is not necessarily "best" for me. Apple has appetite, Android has PlayStore and BlackBerry has AppWorld, all are content stores. Better battery life? Set your iPhone 4 to pick emails by Push and iMessgae continuously and see if the battery last beyond 5 hours. BB users are almost always pinging while your iPhone/Android is almost always in your pockets. Try doing the continuous stuff like the BB and see the battery life. Usage for usage, the BB has better battery life. Yeah the iPhone/android does. Hang, but that is simply because it does one thing at a time. Can you compare the multitasking of the BB to either of iPhone or android? Should we then say the Nokia with the 20MP camera is the best phone in the world seeing as it has the highest mp camera? So in essence, you are talking relative not that it cannot do those things. |
mflexy8: Pls refer to my first post. I referred to Nigerians. Re all these pips Nigerians or re u just one if those hurt by the article?Go and read that your post again and then relate it to your second that was a reply to mine, then come back and start narrowing down only to Nigerians. Yes, I dislike the article for peddling falsehood, for being a jaundiced piece of trash and of no worth at all. I however, take more exception to people who generalized statements and make them seem authentic. If you accept that different strokes for different folks, why them talk about "Nigerians" as if Nigerians should all have the same belief like you about a phone platform? |
Ayomax: i knew u were going to say something stupi.d n dumb, wel im nt suprise. A mp3 is beta dan ur bb witout subscriptn. Wont blame its ur 5yrz old cousin tht helping u to operate ur phn while its only bbm u sabi operate. Android or iphn are 2 advance 4 ur brain tht y u bliv bbm is da end of da world. Can you share with me what the Android or iPhone can do that the BlackBerry CANNOT do? Abeg, I wan learn! |
