chino i dont no what people think of anambra state?  grin what i know is that compare to most state in Nigeria anambra is doing well in terms of infrastructure and poverty rates i know that onitsha nnewi nkpo  this three cities generate billions monthly in terms of internal revenue i dont think any other state apart from lagos abj which we dont rates cos of federal govt investment there, but most other states in Nigeria cannot  generate that capacity internally  cool

I have passed thru those places. The difference is clear that Anambra has better road network than Imo state. Anambra under Ngige gave us good network of roads by far better than un-motorable track roads in Imo state, courtsey of ohakim and gang grin. Peter Obi is even doing more to complement what Ngige did. Anambra state has good statistics when it come to education, check jamb records. About 93% of the traders in Onitsha drug market @ head bridge(ogbo ogwu) are imo citizens, ask your people from orlu they will tell you. Anambra has created a monolithic economy like Lagos, Rivers. With the coming on stream of Onitsha port, Orient refinery, Cargo Airport, Anambra would have been totally economic independent from Nigeria.
you 2 are talking rubbish, is it not the same anambra i lived in, nnewi to be specific

Lol grin grin someone is even talkng of billions of naira generated from anambra. I mean this is a total joke

anambra is far behind kaduna, lagos, delta, ogun, kano, rivers, cross river, oyo, adamawa

i mean people, c'mon undecided

in terms of infrastructure (clean water, better power supply, good roads etc), universities,, security, schools, the the government involvement with the citizens, anambra has failed

I mean is it not the same anambra that thousands of people move out of, every year to states like kaduna, kano, lagos, adamawa, ogun, oyo. rivers, cross river

c'mon

There is no ethnic majority in Delta state. We only have bigger and smaller groups, the fact that Urhobo is the biggest doesn't make it the majority group.
In order to get an absolute majority, they must team up with others (usually the Igbo's); eg if an Urhobo politician decides to rely on Urhobo votes and organisation alone, he will fail (even if he won).

The truth of the matter is that cooperation works best in Delta state, not size of ethnic group.
huh huh huh huh this is what I have been waiting for you to say. So for ibori, Uduaghan etc to win, they need igbos abi

Now this is my taking,

1. on what bases are we using to judge is it economic valiablity or what

2. are we talking of oil and the amount of money the state generate

3. are we just doing guess work undecided

I am going to do my ranking based on the number of people living in the state because the more the people, the more the develpment of the state. In Nigeria and all over the world people move from an area/place/region of suffering and under development to a region of plenty/ pro-developed places.

also i would do this based on the economic valiablity of each state and the amount it gets in IGR

my taking is

1. Lagos

2. Kano

3. delta

4. rivers state

5. ogun

6. anambra

7. adamawa

8. kaduna

9. oyo

10. cross river/awka ibom any of the 2

I am no bigot and that is why ,[b] unlike you, I speak in favour of all decent administrators looking to secure a better deal for their people than the "nest of killers" PDP , [b]the Party you now support by default, ever attempted to provide. if you know how terrible Oyinlola was you will not insult the sensitivities of the good folks of Osun, 100% happy with Aregbesola, with your amateurish and fraudulent attack on the Osun Governor.  We all know you are motivated solely[ by the dirty cash you have received . this is why you lick the worst leadership balls in Nigeria  while you stalk Aregbesola up and down relentlessly.

1. That is something you can inquire by yourself. However their numbers are more realistic than any that Ive seen.
they are realistic to you and ohaneze but not realistic to Nigerians. I mean Ohaneze counted all the igbos from lagos to kano to aba by themselves to be able to estimate the population of igbo grin

odumchi:
2. Chai, you no get sense. How does Ibibio pop in Aligbo being greater than Yorubas and Hausas mean they ate greater than Igbos? Just sit a second and lookbat what you posted.
Yes i know with I posted. If ibibio is the largest non-indigenous group in the SE then to speaks of the igbos population in the SE. I know there are more yorubas and hausa in the SE, but then again if you can claim Ibibio is the largest non-igbo in the SE and there number is about 50 thousand then what is the population of hausa and yorubas in the SE. I mean you hav counted the ibibio for urself. cheesy cheesy

odumchi:
3. Ngwa subgroup of Igbo which lies mostly in Abia is in excess of 3 million people but you wnt to tell me that Abia was 2.8m as of 2006?
Dude stop acting silly. !!! u are more mature than this. If Abia is 2.8 million, how can Ngwa be 3 million unless u want to talk of Ngwa found in other SE states and other parts of the world.

When did you or oahneze conduct a census of Ngwa people and found out it was 3 million huh. Are u people just pulling figures from ur a55es or what grin grin grin

odumchi:
4. See your problem, I'm talking about Igbolanf and you hop to the North. Igbos are the largest non-ondegine population in every part of Nigeria outside Igboland. You can't seem to focus on one thing can you?
Where did you get that information from again. you or ohaneze. so Igbos are the largest non-indigenes in the SW and North. shocked shocked

Lastly, lest say Igbos are 45 Million which they are not even a half of that number. You mean to say that 45 million people would all squeze to 5 SE states duing Christmas and new year because you know of the annual migration that occurs in Nigeria of igbo origin. and how they all travel to the SE. I bet you would say it is wrong but We nigerians know the truth, you can be telling that to people like Nyah etc who are either camerounian or jamicians grin grin grin grin

before i go i would leave you with this quote for your brother

This is what makes the current threat by the Lagos State government both alarming and perfidious. Through a public statement circulated on its behalf by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Dele Alake, the Igbo especially resident in Lagos were warned not to travel to their home states for the census, otherwise they would be taxed heavily for enjoying social services in Lagos.

What part of census figures for states are not reliable don't you get? Besides this is 2011 not 2006.

Are you delusional? 4 million Yorubas in SE? 8 millin Hausas? You de craze?  The largest non-Igbo group in the SE are Ibibios who number around 50k.
so why post igbofocus census which is worse than the census conducted

when and how did igbofocus conduct a census. abi if u are able to quote figures then i have every right to do the same

the largest non-igbo group in the SE is not ibibio or else it means they are more populous than igbo

Lastlly, it means ohaneze are delusional if they can say igbo is 40% of kano and 43% of lagos? them dey craze?

the largest non-yoruba group in the SW are the hausa, and the largest non hausas in the core north are the yorubas

Here is an accurate/modern presentation of the population of Igboland.

Anambra- 8.5 million

Imo State-5.2 million

Abia State-4.3 million

Ebonyi-4.4 million

Enugu-5.6 million

Rivers-5.8 million (4.7 million Igbos)

Delta- 3.8 million (2 million Igbos)

Total-35 million Igbos in Igboland + 7.3 million Igbos in Lagos + a possible 3 million throughout Nigeria = 45 million Igbos in Nigeria. Making Igbos 29 % of Nigeria.

Our people want to see improvements not only in terms of reduced inflation, higher economic growth and economic diversification but also in job creation, better school enrolment, improved access to health care and a more sustainable environment.
“They want regular and sustainable electricity supply, higher purchasing power, social infrastructure, and in every sense, this is all about the economy.”

tafawa balewa, i would say not really, i did not really feel his impact unlike bello

abacha should be added really

That's because human beings are always seeking a scape goat to blame for their insecurities! An igbo man will tell you that yoruba people are extremely dirty but I have seen igbo households that look like refuse dumps. A yoruba man will tell you that Igbo's are wicked and evil and yet, some of the heartless actions I've seen are commited by yorubas. An igbo man will tell you that yorubas are betrayers and not to be trusted and yet, its the same people that frustrated Alex Ekweme from becoming president and preferred Obasanjo (a serving convict) to their fellow man. Yorubas will tell you igbos are greedy businessmen who love to cheat in business and yet, if you go to Owode-Onirin and tell them you want to sell your bmw X6 which you bought for N14million and has bashed headlights, the yoruba buyers will offer you N70,000 as their best offer! What am I trying to say? It all boils down to people blaming others for their short comings and insecurities. This has been a major factor in wars and ethnic clashes e.g the ife and modakeke fracas (yoruba neighbours slaughtering their fellow brothers like rams) and the umuleri and aguleri blood bath (fellow igbo neighbours trying to exterminate each other). It's that simple!
you have said it all, plain and simple.

Candourly speaking all our leaders have had their good and bad sides, but the problem is that their bad sides have taken greater part of their administration. It was all for unity that made ibb to put shonekan as the head of ING. He (ibb) still went further to pacify yorubas with the elevation of obj. It'll be expedient for us to acknowledge this gestures, cos there's no way obj would've tasted the seat of power if ibb had proved obdurate. Reminisce that it was ibb that negated the coup of dimka, thereby, paving way for a Yoruba man(obj) to taste that seat of power. So, in all i still regard ibb as the most detribalise hausaman. Take it or leave it, ibb is far better than buhari.
