He is a man of God not Federal or State govt. You need to understand the differences between the roles of 'men of God' and the responsibilities of your state and federal govt. Our frustration should be directed to our Federal and State govt. You cannot expect any of our men of God to assume the responsibilities of Federal govt.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Mourinho Appointed As Chelsea Manager by alosnika: 2:22pm On Jun 03, 2013
MOURINHO APPOINTED

Posted on: Mon 03 Jun 2013
Chelsea Football Club is delighted to announce the appointment of Jose Mourinho as First Team Manager.

Mourinho has signed a four-year contract and will return to the club where he won two Premier League titles, an FA Cup and two League Cups between 2004 and 2007.

Ron Gourlay, Chelsea FC Chief Executive, said: 'I am delighted to welcome Jose back to Chelsea. His continued success, drive and ambition made him the outstanding candidate.

'It is our aim to keep the club moving forward to achieve greater success in the future and Jose is our number one choice as we believe he is the right manager to do just that.

'He was and remains a hugely popular figure at the club and everyone here looks forward to working with him again.'

Since leaving Chelsea in 2007, the 50-year-old Portuguese has worked in Italy with Inter and Spain with Real Madrid, lifting three league championships, two domestic cups and the Champions League.

Originally appointed at Stamford Bridge in 2004, immediately after winning Europe's top competition with Porto, he quickly achieved success securing his first trophy for the club as early as February 2005, when we beat Liverpool 3-2 after extra-time in Cardiff to win the Carling Cup. We went on to win the league that season with a record 95 points and a record low of just 15 goals conceded in 38 games.

The club celebrated consecutive championships in our centenary 2005/06 season, secured with a 3-0 win over Manchester United in late April, and the next campaign we were able to add the Carling Cup with victory over Arsenal in Cardiff, and the FA Cup when United were beaten again in the first senior game at the new Wembley.

Mourinho departed by mutual consent in September 2007, going on to develop his already impressive CV by winning the Serie A twice in two years and the Champions League with Inter, before joining Real Madrid in 2010, where he lifted both La Liga and the Copa Del Rey, ending his stay in Spain yesteday.

He brings three coaching staff with him in Rui Faria, Silvino Louro and Jose Morais. Each carries the title of Assistant First Team Coach and will work alongside current first team staff Steve Holland, Christophe Lollichon and Chris Jones.

The new manager will be officially presented in a press conference at Stamford Bridge on Monday 10 June, further details of which will follow in due course.

Please tell me you have never committed any sin ever since you were born. I suspect you are a product of adultery, else you wouldn't have spoken like this.

dasparrow:

You should have thought about all that before opening your legs and fornicating with someone you are not legally married to. Have you not heard of birth control pills and condom? Anyways, at this point, you and your soon-to-be baby daddy should sit down like two mature adults and think of the way forward. I don't have anything else to tell you.

If men were God!!! The young woman did not ask for judgement or condemnation. If Jesus Christ had said your statement to the woman caught in the sin of adultery, she wouldn't have been forgiven. Always remember, don't be the first in casting stones.

Young woman, take your man to ikoyi registry and get married. There is no simple solution than that. May the good Lord be with you.

Family / Re: Should Parents Tell Their Kids How Much They Earn?? by alosnika: 4:20pm On May 02, 2013
Why would you tell your children how much you earn!!! Then tell them when you wan sleep with their mama now. Infact, give them the salary when you receive it at the end of the month and let them give you your share...infact start reporting to your children.

Sometimes people dont understand their roles as parents. Your roles and obligations as good parents have nothing to do with disclosure of certain information which could eventually destroy your family if care isnt taken. Certain information are better kept between husband and wife.

1.Oprah Winfrey
2. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala
3. Michelle Obama cool

Even if they have hidden sicknesses or diseases like cancer etc that they are able to manage because they have money to manage it.
Where are your parents? you dont admire them? you dont cherish them? you can trade them for Oprah Winfrey, Ngozi and Michelle?

manmustwac: Like the poster said you will never see a nigerian pastor in the mould of Reverend Martin Luther King who fought against racism and descrimination for the rights of the oppressed african americans. Where were all our church leaders when they were needed during the oil subsidy demonstrations? Apart from being absent all they did was to tell the masses to fast & pray which is = NOTHING!

What have you guys been doing to Pastor Tunde Bakare? You guys call him all sort of names....Now you want a man of God!!!
Human beings!!! We dont need all the pastors, we need just one in the like of Tunde Bakare and we all need to support and rally around such a man.
But in Nigeria, I trust my fellow countrymen, they will say he should go and sit down jor, na lie him dey lie, na thief etc....

Until that day we all change the way we see and perceive things, until that day we are ready to sacrifice our today for our tomorrow, nothing will change!!!

Is this the kind of people we have in our society and we are clamoring for a positve change? I doubt if any positive change will come because our hearts are resistant to it. Make a difference in your little capacity... your statement is outrageous and it's a reflection of the society and the Nigerian youth.

Nwa oguta: Happy birthday to chimpanze

You are so daft....put the picture of your father let us see if Obasanjo is not better than him in all aspects of life. If a white man should call you chimpanzee, wouldnt you revolt and take him to court for racial comments towards you. This attitude needs to stop. This man needs to be respected and celebrated at least being a former head of states. Certain things we don't have control over, the choice of parents, your birthplace, your tribe, your look, ....this is somebody's else's father, uncle, brother and our former head of states. Respect him, honour him if you want the same in life. Happy birthday Baba...long life.

ighoosagie: Basically, am from southern Nigeria; Edo state to be precise and I base in las vegas ( home of casinos ) in the United State of America. Every Sunday while in church on my native attires I look so different from others base on my dressing code, many times it's kind of draw so much attentions which before now was kind of like making me feel so nervous and uncomfortable especially when some white folks come around to ask me were I come from based on my outfits, I tell them from Nigeria "o that oil rich country" they reply and out of curiosity I ask them why re they asking me where am from, they reply ur dressing look odd. I just tell them no I don't look odd rather I look unique and as an African I need to dress like a royalty , also I remind them that we African have our own ways in which we live and that I stand on, though I wear normal casual most often.
The reasons am writing this is to tell my fellow nairalanders that wherever you are always represent were you come from no matter what, trying to be like those white folks only makes you deny your origin thereby making yourself inferior. I see some of our brothers here trying to change their ascent, I always kick against that because every nations got their ascents which identifies them and distinguishes them from others, no matter How you try to form their ascent they still know you are not part of them, so why not just be yourself rather than fooling yourself ; to me that makes you lost anyway because you are neither here nor there "look warm" always rep nija my people. . God bless Nigeria

The truth of the matter is that you have come here to display your inferiority complex! It's either you just got to the US and wanna inform Nairalanders or the spirit of inferiority complex has taken over your mind completely!!! Go to some cities in Canada or Russia where temperature is around -40degree or more and wear that your native attire because you wanna feel Nigerian and see if cold would not freeze your liver for you. Your dress has nothing to do with the state of your mind...inferiority complex or superior complex has nothing to do with suit and tie or gele and buba.....pls note that.

Awolowo was the best president Nigeria never had. Deep inside of us, we all know it.Many of our present leaders and politicians live on his achievements and legacy. Just as many of us....I graduated from the great Obafemi Awolowo University as at the time there was nothing like school fees in Ife and I paid N90 as accommodation fee throughout my studies. Till now OAU remains amongst the best in Nigeria. All with cocoa and agriculture money. what has our present politicians and leaders done with oil money? They cannot even fund our universities anymore. They cannot provide jobs for graduates coming out of those universities.....Appreciate Awolowo please, sentiment apart.

So driver job is now something to strive and sweat before you get by a whole graduate for that matter. If somebody tell them when they ar in the university that driver is what their certificate will earned then they will be rejecting it. Now see what have happen i know among them will be docter, lawyer, engineer, accountant by certificate. Hmmm i weep for this country. Why should i over study in school when there is possibility of getting a dirty job like driver with it. Am still waiting for graduate gateman and cleaner, as nothing is impossible in nigeria.

For your information, there is dignity in labour. These people are better than those that have chosen to become thieves, kidnappers, or ritualists. They should be commended. Furthermore, people like you do worse jobs in the UK, US and other developed countries with all your academic qualifications. There is no crime and no shame in working as a gateman, no shame in whatever honest job you are doing. Nigerians like to live to impress their neighbours, they love to live fake lives, they love to be what they are not. That's why people kill for money, that's why people steal every opportunity they have, that's why Nigeria is where it is today.
Do your job with all dignity.
Respect people for their decision. Respect them for the jobs. Respect them because there is dignity in labour.

Religion / Re: Fellow Christians: What Is Happening To Us? by alosnika: 8:05pm On Feb 17, 2013
Nice write up brother. However, what amazes me is the level of hypocrisy in today's youth and church. Two days ago, most of the people that sounded spiritual on this write up now, promoted sex before marriage. They all prefer a woman that has slept with millions of men but now claims to be a good woman to someone who keeps God's commadment that let the bed of marriage remain undefile....for whoremonger and adulterer, God will judge. This is the one of the problems we have in Christianity today...hypocrisy. God cannot be mock. Living life is not the most important thing, but living right and living for God. Man is like a flower that flourishes in the morning and withers at night. Man's pursuit about money, riches etc is all vanity. If you claim to be a Christian, why would you support sex before marriage, why would you way Hosanna today and crucify him tomorrow.
Let us all live for God...that's all that matters.

Phonon: When did virginity become the single criterion for being a good lady or a superb wife. There are many virgins who could be 'Supernaggers' or psychologically damaged or demon possessed.ABEG MOVE THIS THREAD TO THE RECYCLE BIN.

Direct your anger and frustration to those young boys that disvirgined you at age 10. Ain't you supposed to be a virgin in the first place? Does the bible, Qur'an, or opele permit pre-marital sex? Furthermore, being a good girl has nothing to so with being a dirvirgined or not. But I can guarantee you that 99% of men will prefer someone who has not defiled herself to someone who claims to be a good wife but can't remember the number of people she has slept with.

So why don't you go ahead and marry a roadside prostitute that has turned a new leave. how do you define a good wife? someone who lacks self control and has slept with uncountable number of men to satisfy her uprising libido!!! you can't give what you don't have....I see someone like you must have a sexual resume your parents don't even have.

Notin gud can ever com frm constantly spewin thrash. I believe so much in d power of d tongue. God has given us d ability 2 create d world we desire thru d use of our tongues. D Holy Bible records dat in d beginin God saw chaos, confusion & gross darkness on d surface of d earth, but didnt go about complainin, lamentin & cursin as most of us wld've done. Rather He spoke, ''Let there be.....'' & created d world He desird. Therefore, I charge every1 to come lets join hands & speak our country out of dis chaos, confusion & darkness dat we are currently experiencin. Lets begin 2 speak peace, love, safety, turn-around, prosperity, favour, blessings, etc upon our beloved country. And we must also pray 4 wisdom, knowledge, grace & d fear-of-God upon our leaders. A word is enough 4 d wise. God bless Nigeria.

Then it means something is either wrong with you or your prayer because nothing has changed since 1960 that you have been praying!!! Could it be that you pray amiss? Yes I think so,because God will not do for you what your government is supposed to do for you. I wonder where this delusion is coming from...haahaa. You only pray for a good leader, you take the bad ones out! Saul, Herod,Nebuchadnezzar, etc were taken out if you wanna go spiritual. grow up man.

Noliza: From what I gather, the majority of you guys are against praying for your leaders but prefer to condescend to raining insults at them. Like someone rightly said, this is the character of lowlifes and cowards who cannot do better themselves given the opportunity. These are the dregs of society that can never amount to anything tangible, but always end up destroying themselves. Who said you cannot lead a meaningful action as was done in Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, etc not too long ago, if you feel so agrieved at how your leaders are leading you. I believe this will be more beneficial to all concerned instead of all these senseless rants that only show your level of stupidity and the empty nature of your medula oblangata. Better change your ways, perhaps things might change for you, who knows....? Na new year be dis o....!!!

This is not a forum to reharse your mediocrity and stupidity. I am sure you don't have an idea of what good governanace is all about, neither do you know what living a good life means. Your problem is your poverty mentality. Keep praying when you are supposed to take action, I am sure your children will continue from wherever you stop. okay. I guess you are blind to know that Nigeria is taking giant steps towards failure everyday. Action is what we need to save Nigeria.
