Look man, if you wanna have a hitch free travel experience, dont travel with all those things. There are African foods everywhere. Of course it is much more expensive but if you have normal income, you would be able to afford those foods like you would afford any other food. The problem with Nigerians is that when they see the price on these food items, they would immediately calculate the equivalent in Naira and shout Heeeee! I can buy 10ce of this in Naija with the same amount. But if you compare the price with the living standard of the country u are in, its usually not very expensive. Sorry, I can't help you with any info because I dont like complicating my trip with all these stuffs and I believe strongly that it is the reason why my trips are always without hiccups or unnecessary delays. U may dare it anyway, not trying to discourage you most especially if u are that type of Nigerian that really don't fancy white man's food. Goodluck with your smoked fish, palm oil etc. |
Look do not blame a parent that bribed for their children. Blame Naija system for everything. If you would observe, you would find out that most of these parents do not bribe for common entrance exams because ordfinarily there kids would pass it. They do not also bribe for promotional exams for at the end of each academic year in the secondary school. Okay so the big question should be that WHY IS THE BRIBERY ISSUE PECULIAR TO ONLY JAMB AND WAEC? this and that parents have smartened their way thru for their kids and u are aware what they did but they kept it secret. Now their child is almost finishing in the university and ur own child is still battling with extra mural classes which u are paying a lot for. At the end on the day, the society would see their own child who is almost graduating as better than urs and that is why more and more are tempted into it. Who do u blame. Clean up the system and give the student good quality education, and be more reasonable with how waec and jambs are marked. then bribery would die naturally/ |
why would I prefer a play hard to get lady? I am looking for a real girl, the fact that she is playing hard to get has made her unreal in the 1st place and she has failed. If I continue chasing such lady, I probably just want to get at her and teach her some sense. After all playing hard to get does not necessarily reflect how intelligent she is. The point is girls really don't know what they want. If you like a guy, don't fake it, free yourself up, it doesnt mean the guy would get down with you right away, Nooo let him know that "ok u are cool too I dont feel bad about your moves but hey dude, if u wanna roll with me, THESE ARE MY TERMS" and then u make clear ur terms, its left to the guy to deal with it or 4get about it. That is different from the very impolite attitude of many Naija chicks when a guy is wooing them, acting as if the guy is just a poo. But usually to my dismay, u would see this same girl after a while badly in love with the same guy that was initially a poo. C'mon, naija chicks, pls stop this paranoid sh*t. |
Skinny jeans is nonsense. Look there are as many gays as you can't just imagine most especially in Europe. Popular fashion designers, musician, book writers, politicians, club owners etc. These group of ppl strongly believe that the only way for them to be properly accepted is to "gayify" the society. The strategy is that the more "gayistic" the society can get, the less the ppl would see gay and gay related issue as strange and the less there would be discrimination against them as gays. If u see a new fashion trend, you have to be informed of what influenced such. The skinny jeans was made popular by the rockstars and if you trace it backward, more than 50% of rockstars are either gay or bisexuals. Ideologically, there is no gender difference in the rockworld you can confirm that in their mode of dressing and they are either atheist or satanists. Ironically many born again Nigerians as they would like to claim would go the shop on a saturday and buy a skinny jeans that was designed and originated form satanic influences and wear same to church on the following sunday to interact with the holy spirit. Does it mean that people are trying to unite evil and holy spirit by establishing a connection between both? Think about it! |
What I see here is that people do not really know what they should blame Ajimobi for and what not. This guy has done absolutely nothing wrong for being in Saudi Arabia at a time Oyo is flooding and just like I read it on the news today (if it is true!!!), he is already hurrying back home. But for those who are comparing Oyo case to Hurricane Irene as a means to establish defense for Ajimobi, in that case he might have done many things wrong. First of all, dont they know the difference between heavy rainfall and hurricane? 2ndly in the case of Irene, the government have informed the ppl several weeks before now about the magnitude of an impending hurricane and assisting people in possible preventive measures, distributing soundbags, preventing entrance to public area where their could be stampede and drowning etc. Ajimobi did not do that. If only they did inform and warned people about an impending rain that will cause flooding, and advise people to stay at home, constantly repeated on the radio, also telling people who are living in low swampy area that are prone to flood to move to higher terrains because it is inevitable that such neighbourhoods would be submerged according to weather reports. In this case there would have been probably loss of properties only but not lives. If you look at the scenario, many ppl died because they were unaware. This is the reason why anyone who is trying to absolve Ajjimobi by raisng the hurricane Irene issue is just exposing him instead. The governor who claims to be the chief security officer of the state is also not aware of an approaching deadly rain WHAT A SECURITY OFFICER!!! Nigerians dont know their right because they will keep defending these ppl still. When Ajimobi became governor, he immediately dissolved the keep Ibadan clean scheme of Akala and promised to put up a new one claiming that he scrapped the scheme because it was inefficient but he has not developed a new one till this moment. Imagine if Ibadan is not cleaned in just one week, how dirty it would immediately become? blockage in the drainages and all that? The guy is just taking decisions controlled by political interest and really not ppl. U dont scrap a scheme because it was established by a predecessor u hated so much, all u need do is remove his own ppl and put yours, infuse your own ideology into the system in order to sustain the status quo. Lets see, time is already telling. |
I see too many posts on NL these days that are nothing but mere phantom instances. The fact that I observed that it was not real is already a put off and the fact that many are taking him seriously is another surprise. The post should have just been labelled a joke and it would be fine. Even you who is trying to make a joke out of bad comprehension of English also need to improve on writing simple correct sentences. This is fake, I am out. |
This post is fake I dont have time for this. I advise ppl to stop wasting their time on this. I am out of here |
chmod777:U are right. From your point, what bothers me most is the fact that even many Nigerian ladies in this same E.U are still disturbing with their mentality. They do not learn from the up-and-doing attitude of their white chick counterparts. The scope of a typical white lady is always deep in any given topic u are raising and even if she does not know much about a given topic, her little contribution will still reflect the fact that she knows what she want. But our ladies!!! you 1st of all have to find out what does she know then you open a topic to that direction otherwise she will see you as boring. Nigerian ladies typically limit themselves to what they are interested in which is often times entertainment, music, movies, fashion etc. They dont like discussing economics, local/international politics, business and sport. Referring to your point that Nigerian guys should respect their ladies, of course very good but it is nice to advise the ladies also to brace up and try to upgrade. A continuous ceding of certain capability or responsibility to men by the ladies will always make th men feel dominant and in that case their cant be respect. Its a contrary situation with the white ladies, they will dare what the guys would also dare so they dont feel inferior to guys in the first place. They will follow politics, economics, entertainment and so on. There is nothing the guys know that they dont also know so naturally, it is just not very easy to push them over. However, it is clear that other factors are also responsible for this. Religion will tell Nigerian ladies to be submissive to their men and honestly, this may be the reason why things will never change |
Gbawe:And that must be the great difference between your personality and mine. You don't know but you think you know and so you would never know. If I would fix you into the competence cycle under the principles of Adult Learning, you would likely fall under the category Unaware Incompetent because you really dont know but believe strongly that you know, the bottom-line is that you don't know your right. Or how do I explain a situation whereby you are telling me to praise a governor simply because he released funds for a project!!! I am surprised ppl are thinking this way. All governors in Nigeria including the federal government releases funds for different projects so what is spectacular about releasing funds? Whether the project is for water or fire I don't care. I wonder how rich is your experience in following Nigerian politics most especially in the S/west? You are making reference to PDP but you have to look further backward to the AD era which has metamorphosed to ACN now. A good example was Lam Adeshina OF oyo state who was dedicated to rural electrification. He wanted to empower rural people and stop rural urban migration. Isnt that a great idea but this guy disbursed 100s of millions of naira for different rural projects but it was all a sham. Hey I would like to give you an assignment, can you convince me that this 480 million would not be squandered like their predecessors and give tangible reasons preferably in bullet points so u wont need to write many texts. Look Gbawe, I am not a low life guy, if you want to stay low and kiss the shoes of your governor, it's all good but don't invite me to join you, such is demeaning to my sense of reasoning. Regards |
claremont:Dont mind these dudes around here, they are all comic. Imagine the guy proving that contortion of faces when couples kiss makes them look alike I was laffing and rolling on the floor. This is simple common sense, it's a psychological thing. If u see two people together everyday, you tend to want to think that they look alike even if they do not look any alike in reality. I remember when I was in secondary school, the Principal and the VP were always standing side by side in front all the student during the assembly. Because I see them pair up everyday, I felt they looked alike but even then I understood that I was just mixing them up because I see them together all the time. ., Contortion of faces while kissing. hahahahahahahaha, does he mean like this? or like this and this ![]() |
Gbawe:This guy is very funny. There is nothing about the article you are bragging about. What I have seen here is that a huge sum of money have been approved for a certain project which is what we read on paper about this and that government in Nigeria everyday, if not yet, why not wait till then because the problem is not about dishing out money for a project and talking about how beautiful such project will be but about what happens to the money and the project afterwards. I did not see that the project has been properly executed and successfully delivered to the benefit of the masses. So if the content of your article is what u are using to justify your attack on the guy you quoted? Then you are another comedian. I dont have problem with opponent and proponent claims but their must be quality in such claims and that is when anyone can learn. I advise you to work harder on the quality of your claims. |
kokoye:Dont mind them, most of those names are not real. Some are even writing that has absolutely no meaning and its spoiling the game. It would have been more interetsing if ppl are coming up with real names. The is the longest that I know Oluwasheunfunmibabara =20 I remember the lady used to call herself Barbara. We made many jokes out of it and she didn't like it. |
sw:Oyo have appointed its commissioners but up till this moment the full list is not yet well publicised. U cant even find it on the state govt's official website at least as at now. What I know is that against Ajimobi's lousy claims that he is committed to running a govt filled with technocrats. He has appointed Dapo Lam, are those who he calls technocrats? This same governor recommended one Mr Ladoja who is a candidate of formal gov Ladoja, a guy who managed to have 3 credits in 3 Olevel sittings to be a commissioner in Oyo state. If Oyo assembly was predominantly ACN, they would have unanimously passed that guy and the public would not know anything. "Our govt will be different, not amala politics, technocrats, technocrats, technocrats" Now I am seeing ACN or let me say Ajimobi's definition technocrats. BLATANT BUNCH OF GARBAGES pDude:Well they wont listen, Nigerian would prefer to keep hoping than to calculate reality and follow it. Look at Egypt. They did not just sit down and think Allah would come down and touch the mind of their politicians. |
denzel2009:Up schoooooooool!!! School of our pride built on the rock, feel u, feel u feel u my paddy |
valacious:Hey Valacious. Dapo might be your schoolmate but may be at a distance. I said this because you said he was humble. Some ppl might give you a dirty slap for saying that. As big as Felele is, don't say it, you might be lynched because they might think u are probably just a sycophant who is lobbying to get some bread from Dapo because he is now a commissioner. Go ask why did he lose the house of rep election despite the fact that his father is Godfather of Oyo ACN, despite running under ACN as a party of choice for the ppl, despite dedicating all his life to politics, no professional experience in anything apart from politics. He lost till. Now let me tell you this, Dapo and I were in the same class for 4 years in secondary school, JSS 1-SSS 1. We all knew he was arrogant. When he was in U.I, the fact that he piped low and had very few friends, driving in and out of the school in full tint sleek rides does not translate to being humble. Rather, he dissociated himself from common students because he is the son of a governor. U cant tell me that Dapo was your friend in U.I unless your father was minister or senator etc. otherwise U couldn't have been Dapo's friend that easily. I wish him good luck anyway, I hope he is able to manage his arrogance at this level. |
@Nayah I do not agree with your remark that central/southern African ladies are flawless. When u said Tanzanian, I might agree with that because all the Tazanian chicks that I know are significantly pretty. When u say southern Africa, would you exclude south Africa pls? Their ladies on the average are not particularly spectacular. They don't even have style. To mess the game up for themselves, they are very arrogant, most especially to other Africans. |
dayokanu:The irresponsible PDP is gone, but what is the responsible ACN that is in both states doing now? I thought Aregbeshola spent many months smoothtalking on how he would solve the LAUTECH crisis right away. He has addressed those students and Osun staffs raising their hopes many times. Now he is getting more and more silent, I dey laff, I think Nigerians are not very clever with the way the follow these politicians. Just like somebody have said, they are playing politics with the lives of these students. The truth the both governors are failing to tell ppl is that Akala had the benefit of time to bring the issue of Lautech separation to a logical conclusion. It is already at a level that it will be difficult for them to reverse the situation and that is why there are these crisis. Because as far as the Oyo indigenes are concerned in Lautech, the institution is now legally owned by Oyo but the 2 powerful big boys of both states (Ajimobi and Aregbeshola) kept telling Osun indigenes in the institution that they are still part of the system. Why would there not be crisis when there is such confusion? The politics in this issue is clear. When Akala made known the intention of Oyo to solely own Lautech, ACN as an opposition party kicked against it and listed many reasons why it doesnt make sense. ACN capitalised on the fact that the student doesnt like it and promised them that the issue will be resolved as soon as ACN govt takes over. It will of course be very difficult for the ACN to now tell all ppl in Lautech that: "hey guys, sorry we promised you that we will solve this problem but we are just realising that it is not that easy to reverse the decision like we"ve promised so Osun ppl should leave Lautech" Of course they would not want to sound that stupid and disappoint the ppl that soon after raising their hope that much. As a result, they will play some game with it until it lasts. Lets see. |
Its difficult to conclude. I have seen these white folks saying naija accent sounds cute so many times. I know some guys who speaks a kind of village naija accent and all these white chicks like the way they speak. It was surprising but now I am used to it. I just want ppl to realize that what is cute or beautiful or sexy in white dude's perspective is almost opposite of what a typical African (Nigerian) considers cute/beautiful/sexy. What is exotic to us is garbage to them and what is garbage to them is exotic to us. They wanna stay in the sun and darken their skin as much as possible, it is considered as a sign of good living when u have enough time to holiday and relax till u get ur skin tanned. But in Naija, the reverse is considered as sign of good living. This is just a typical example out of many. Bare that in mind. |
Many Naija ladies are into this kind of thing. Just very many. What bothers me is that U'd even see some girls from a relatively comfortable family who are still into this rubbish. In such cases, poverty is out of the issue. I have come to a conclusion that there is a bitchy propensity in most women and the environment they are exposed to would determine what they would be. Interestingly, what makes them much more vulnerable is the nature of most men who would always crumble like cookies as soon as a lady is hovering close around. Some of these girls catch fun in that alone. The fact that they can get a man down on his knees no matter how mighty he is using the power of their Pee You Ess Ess Why and drain money out of him at ease while he is giving them good banging at the same time. I always try to imagine what keeps them going. the above is my conclusion. |
Wearing African attire once in a while is cute, it is always impossible in the winter tho' You must be ready to tell ppl many things about where you come from because they will ask all those questions once they see u dressed African. What u call the name of what u are wearing? Ur culture and all that. If u like to socialize, its always a good idea. |
Reason is obvious. The quality of education in Nigeria has nosedived. But we are still getting something wrong in Nigeria, All students must not be a lover of mathematics, what saddens me is that a student that is not good at mathematics in Nigeria is usually tagged as a dullard and such students doesnt usually believe in themselves because they actually give in to the society's impression of them that they are dullards which makes them suffer inferiority complex. It is important to change these mentalities if we want top grow in Nigeria. On the other hand, lets improve our educational system generally and more students will like mathematics. |
Hmm! interesting. I feel some guys up here. the ladies too, very nice hahaha. Me for instance: Me: Hey pretty how are you? Lady: Fine, u?, Me, Hmmm let me guess where you come from , Lady: (very bright smile in her face, looking straight in your eyes, curious about ur guess) AT THIS POINT IF UR GUESS IS RIGHT, SHE'D BE LIKE "WOW U R RIGHT", LOOSEN UP MORE AND WANNA TALK WITH U MORE. then u should be smart to know when to inject more punchlines. IF THE GUESS WAS WRONG, never mind, if u ask at that point she would tell u. Ok lets assume she said Lagos and then ur punch line should be wow wow u look good enuff to be miss Lagos If it is outside Nigeria then of course the lady is from another country, then u substitute Lagos for the name of her country. I tell ya, ladies like that, then you can do the follow up immediately. Another one that works at least very well for me. If u really wanna tell a lady u like her. "U know u look very beautiful and I always feel like telling you something about it but huuu, I feel nervous each time" RIGHT THERE, Thats the punch line, u have said it all. NOTE, dont say this while laughing or even smiling, try not to look any sarcastic, give a serious look and straight into her eyes. At this point, U have automatically ignited her sympathy for u and she would be the one asking more and more question. She would be curious to know what xactly you have in mind. U are now in a comfortable situation if she is the one pushing you talk. Another one U can look for a feature on the lady and capitalise on it. "Wow u ve got nice shape, Many ladies would have to do surgery to look like you" "Wow nice height are you into modelling?" If she is a little fat, u can still blow her away by saying this "I must tell you, I love ladies with curves, u r pretty curvy!!!" If she is a lady with nice make up and beautiful manicure. Think fast and wrap a punchline around it. Reason, she spent alot of time and may be even money to make her nails and face look beautiful so she would appreciate it very well if you recognise that. "By the way, you look fine hmm, (now looking at her nails) wow ur nails her looking EDIBLE, HAHAHA sorry if sound nasty, its just that your nails her looking very captivating" Bye evryone |
denzel2009:You are right, Normally, the deposit machines are always inside the bank in all bank branches and some other safe designated points, unlike the usual cash machine that can be anywhere. Concerning bad and mutilated notes, the machine will reject it just like it will reject fake notes. It is not advisable for anyone trying using the machine if you want to deposit bad notes. It is better to do it manually otherwise, the machine selects only the good notes and leave all the bad notes for you. It is a good developemnt for Naija, at least it will reduce pressure on the banks and the customers. We can also get to the level in the developed world where all deposits are made through machine but we have to advance to the level where most of our transactions are done electronically. That will put less pressure on our notes. That is the reason why their notes are naturally kept clean as it is shown in the picture. But I still think this is already a good development. I hope it is well managed. |
Jasiel:Davidylan got it right there, STUDY ABROAD!!! while studying abroad, discover yourself, socialize alot, establish useful networks. I dont know what u are studying, if it is related to business, the connections you would make outside the classroom is as important as your study. U can establish such networks by attending business conferences, workshops and Seminars. It really really works. If you cant afford studying abroad, well may be u should strive for the 1st class since that is the case of Nigeria. I wish you good luck. |
davidylan:Blanket statement U are guilty of same (Blanket conclusion). Because I put up an argument from my own opinion is insufficient for you to conclude that I must have finished with a low CGPA. Such conclusion is typical to we Nigerians and it makes me angry. So does that mean that if I am rich, I can not speak in defense of the poor? then it must mean that I am also poor c'mon!!! If I have good education and have opportunities within a good system, we must not speak for those who are creeping in Nigeria because the system is holding them down? What then is the essence of this NL? |
davidylan:My friend I can only laugh at your ignorance, do u think I am a typical Nigerian like you? who doesn't care about interest of people on a lower ladder just because you are well above the ladder. My question still remain what do u call bad grade? We are arguing in the case of Nigeria where ppl will still castigate a 2nd class for not being able to have a job because he did not have 1st class, Is that what u are celebrating? Now you said my stance must have been because I had a low CGPA. Hehehehe If u think MBAs know better, then I know better than you. Who told you that performance of an MBA would be determined by CGPA in the labour market? I got my MBA since 1 year, I am a member of the esteemed CMI in London, I am employed as an international advisor in the Netherlands, we advise companies on M&O and related issues around the world. My friend, what are you by the way? Do U know the meaning of MBA? MBAs are trained to explore their practical skills, you are exposed to real life working challenges and you are even thought about realistic reasoning and depend less on theory. In Europe generally no organization in business would employ you if you are Phd, you are expected to work in the academic environment and that is it. Business ppl dont care about whether you are 1st class or whatever. You will be given tasks your ability to handle those tasks would determine whether your contract would be renewed at expiration or asked to go. They dont care if you finished with distinction. I see u quoting in dollars, U seem to be very local in US, BTW reduce your arrogance, think about those who are still creeping, they can also stand on their feet if we help them. Westerners help themselves but we run down ourselves. I am very concerned |
On the other hand, if people are appointing their mistresses to govt positions, then why cant someone appoint his son?
LOL, I really feel this comment, concise with many meaning. We know them. I think it will be the in-thing in the current political dispensation. |
CGPA is nonsense. It is only the case in Nigeria because there are few jobs. In developed countries where they have competent hands in all fields, do they ask CGPA? I remember when I went for my Job interview, all they were concerned about is my work experience and my attitude to work. Can you work with a team, can you work in a multicultural environment? How well can you manage stress? How soon do you plan to marry? Can you work extra hours, Are you prepared to make international travels etc. These ppl were never concerned about my CGPA. They really hate theory. Even those that are working in research laboratory dont ask CGPA, once you have a certificate showing that you are graduate of microbiology or whatever, then whatever mark you get does not matter, they assume that your knowledge is sufficient to perform in the laboratory. They believe in the quality of their education. The Nigerian system never allow students with lower grades to believe in themselves which makes me sad. I say it again, in most cases, those grades does not really matter, it is a shame that we are making it a big deal in Nigeria. Let the government provide jobs and it will die naturally. |
WHAT A SECURITY OFFICER!!! Nigerians dont know their right because they will keep defending these ppl still.
or like this and this
