Look man, I have never been to Russia but from what I know from Russian friends, there is nothing in that country. People die in the winter of extreme cold because many houses do not have heating facilities. No social benefits and no jobs. A Russian lady friend of mine has been in Brazil since last year and she told me that she prefers to live the rest of her life with her Brazilian boyfriend there than to go to Russia. My advice to you, don't go to Russia, not even to study. Many Russians are thinking of a better place just like you, so what are your chances if u go there? |
Garbage!!! I dont know what these people are thinking. Such law can not nail anybody. Unless the accuse pleads guilty ab-initio. Which will be very exceptional. What is abandonment!!! What if the guy claimed that they both had no pregnancy agreement between them and she even told him that she was on family planning? How would you prove him wrong? in this case, the guy can also claim that the lady has caused psychological damage to him by breaching their agreement and coming up with pregnancy. where are the witnesses? U cant tell whose claim is true or false, their agreement is not written on paper. You cant call a guy a criminal for these kind of thing. The court can't jail nobody for that, the only thing is that the court will rule that since the pregnancy is his, irrespective of which circumstances led to it, he must share the responsility will the lady. Such responsibility must only be directly connected to the pregnancy and not other issues in the lady's life. Some are saying it is criminal, how?Crime is totally different, accuse in this case could only be pronounced to have committed a tort which means civil wrong. The court may order the guy without option to share the responsibility of caring for the kid. And thats all. This is a mickey mouse law. |
no1manufan:Hey it is still the same thing we are talking about homie, you have no point. Annointing for breakthrough or whatever you call it is patronised by the numerous dogmatic followers. The question is this, can he writ another book that has nothing to do with xtianity and sell that much? No never! Whether u are writing books or singing or preaching, whatever you do as long as it is within the church industry, you will always make it big. What does it take to cajole ppl by sweet talking in a book about how their lives would be better through God's divine power. Such books are very cheap to write and that is why he has written so many like you claimed. He did not need to carry out any research, he is already very familiar with the content of th Bible and he is old and exposed enough to have had many experiences in life, so all he needs to do is a blend of everything and an annointing book is ready for those who really can not think by themselves. Is it not the same concept has Rhapsody of Reality? At least I know that one. Msheeew! Another guy here is saying that Oyedepo has changed lives of ppl and advised critics to go to him to change their lives. Okay what about many other people whose lives are changing without being slaves to a pastor with jets? Should they still go to him? |
So all the Yoruba drug dealers who continuously make headlines are PATIENT in your opinion?. Crime is crime bro and it cuts across ethnic lines. Back in the 90's, drug deal and local 419 were controlled by Yorubas, Igbos were into international 419 while Hausas were into government looting. Today, 90% of advance fee fraud cases are perpetrated by Yorubas and drug deals are equally shared while the Hausas maintained their pace in looting. Go to crime section and check how them by tribes and let us know who thinks deeply before he/she commits a crime. So, stop trying to align crime to any particular ethnic group in Nigeria. It is a worldwide epidemic. What I can say tho is that NIGERIAN MEN tend to commit more crimes than NIGERIAN WOMEN. So, if we need to apply your theory, it will be "women tend to think deeply about the consequences of any crime than men" and even at that, there are many cases that will flaw the theory.
My guy, it is good that you referred to my write up as an OPINION I was not trying to Impose it on anybody, I was open and you can disagree and come up with your own opinion. I was honest and showed that Yoruba or Ibo could be criminal, the difference is just the way they approach it. Well I suspect that you read TRUTH through the lines of my comment but you preferred to disagree You later referred to my comment as theory, that is not theory homie! Be careful how u use words and be sure whether it fits very well within context. What I expected from you or anybody else is to come up with a counter opinion which I dont have problem with Instead, you came up with dubious, fictitious and unfounded claims, you were even mentioning percentages just to rob us into having no further options than to believe in your point. Emeka, look at the bold line in your comment, is that not my argument? What we are saying is that while Yorubas and Hausas are still very primitive and Local with their crime within Nigeria, your homies have gone far sophisticated so much that they took the game to International level. The genesis of very very very bad image Nigerians have in the western world, that means that you also know the truth that your ppl frontlined it, you set the pace for others to follow. Look Oyibos see us as potential criminals once you say u are a Nigerian, U just need to be very highly educated for you to earn reasonable respect, otherwise, I pity you. |
Too bad for the guy. But put tribalism issue aside, the reality remains that Ibo guys are significantly more aggressive at doing anything to get rich than any other tribe in Nigeria. From my assessment, I know that Yorubas also attempt crimes but they tend to consider safety very well while Ibo dudes don't. Only if I could tell them to just slow down please. A Yoruba dude would not mind "a remote control crime" where he can stay at a point and control money off an account at a distance or any other means that I dont know as long as it is a completely anonymous move. Such crime often requires patience cos it takes time, and also intelligence. I am not saying that it is right in anyway but this shows that h knows that his action his criminal and would prefer to keep it safe and secret knowing that if he got caught, it means shame to himself, his family and his country as a whole. I wonder if Ibo dudes really care about all that. Of course the Ibo dudes are also equally intelligent but they lack a fundamental thing, PATIENCE and it is driven by extreme believe in the power of money, they cant just wait. I am not saying it is only Ibo that commits crime but the Ibos are very less reasonable at how they commit their crimes. They go as far as daring crime in the face, "hard ware" which is always senseless and a lose lose. Now the guy is dead and have also spoilt further the image of Nigeria. They never think of the consequences of their action if it fails, rather they prefer to think about the sweetness of victory if it works, an attitude that would not make me pity the guy that lost his life on his deadly voyage to India. He dared death and he was consumed. |
Advice to the poster: Redefine this thread by defining rich in this context. Give a rough pucture of the kind of,living standard you call "RICH" To people's comment generally, there is something missing. It is wrong when you think that having a girlfriend means you are free and having a wife means you are caged. This depends on who exactly is your gilfriend and who is your wife. You may truly be free if you have just what I call a sexmate. My point is may be some guys here are mis-using the word girlfriend while they are actually referring to sexmates My comment on the topic: If some guys are not getting married, it doesnt mean they are afraid. I disagree totally. What is happening most of the time in this kind of situation is that these guys are engulfed by their career and are carried away with it. They begin to set targets for themselves because they are doing very good at the moment, a catalyst that makes you want to be on top of the game of your profession at the shortest possible time which is always looking very interesting. You travel a lot and you are ready to keep travelling as long as it is part of building your career. At this point, when people say "hey you are doing good, go get married" what you do is look at your career, your targets and marriage and you would see apparently that marriage would slow you down, absolutely. You can't move aggressively anymore, you would turn down many offers because you have to be with your family. You have to shed off reasonable amount of time you would have used working to attend to family issues. Your wife would demand quality time and attention, these things can not just be dealt with on part time basis, unless you are looking for a low-life lady that you can suppress and oppress at your will. Otherwise a highly educated lady would demand for an ideal matrimony. In most cases, some men disregard this issues and go ahead and get married but there is always conflict of interests between him and his wife. People see some guys who are not getting married as irresponsible but I do not agree. I am also not married yet and I think my decision to remain unmarried at this moment makes me more responsible than many who are already married but pays less attention to their family. That's it. |
I would advice the Nairalanders to grow-up, it is a normal thing that people see things from different angles. I think it is very immature if ppl begin to be rude to each other simply because they seeing things differently. Let us stop this poiltical mentality. If he sees things to the right, "ha he must be ACN" and to the left, "yes he must be PDP" I think that is not intelligent, the same thing we blame the Nigerian police for, crude conclusions, crude judgment. To Gbawe. I saw the article on agriculture in Osun. I see u have many hopes about that project but the thing is there is no pointer to the fact that this project will be different from many of its kind we have had before. What is written in the article is the ideal model, you need to go a step further and investigate what is actually happening on the field. From experience, the major problem with agricultural development projects have always being the politicians themselves. They would not allow agric. experts to operate, they want to influence all strategic decisions, they want to dictate who does what. They are the one who gives the money but they are the one who also sucks the money dry. Forget party issue here, this is how it happens across the states. Let me tell you if you don't know, I am always very afraid when politicians are declaring intention to invest heavily in any rural oriented project, whether it agriculture, rural dwellers empowerment or rural electrification, it is the safest way to embezzle money. This is because rural people can be easily manipulated, a lot of things can be easily stage managed, and it is always difficult to quantify many things. You can blame certain failure on many factors that is beyond control in the field of agriculture, you can inflate numbers of farmers who are beneficiaries, how would EFCC know? when our small holders are scattered across difficult terrains, EFCC would be left with no option than to look into the records that is presented to them and give them a pass, that is even if they have not already being bribed. This thing has happened repeatedly in the Nigerian political system and that explains the reason why the government across the country are claiming to have expended so much on developing agriculture but nothing to show for it. I would only wait and see what happens with the implementation of the project in Osun before I make my comment but for now, I am very afraid. |
Nayah is incredible, It's a pity there are no street and house numbers on NL's profiles. I would have navigated my way to Nayah's home, knock on her door and propose right there and then to take her out on a date. This is summer, I might be very lucky. |
Now I see the reason the game of politics in Nigeria is interesting to Nigerian politicians. Just feed people with garbage and tell em its cabbage, they will praise ur name to high heavens. After all some governors aint feeding em with nothing. Fashola cleared Oshodi and then, but the question is, how many millions or billions does it cost the government just to chase people away. Let's talk about the BRT, it is a PPP thing how much exactly is Lagos fund in the project and how much is private investment? What about the so much noised Eko Atlantic project. Lagos government has no financial stake in that project. The only stake is providing an enabling environment for the group of investors. So the point is, let us thank Fashola for clearing Oshodi, for initiating the BRT, providing an enabling environment for Eko Atlantic developers and to be fair, some more I may not know. But at the same time, lets ask Fashola where exactly is the raw money in Lagos going? They were talking about the light rail project, is it there now? can someone help me to confirm that? Has the project started? I really like that project when they were talking about it but I don't hear much about it anymore. It will always be a blatantly wrong conclusion to measure Fashola's performance by comparing it with other states, such juxtaposition is illogical. You measure his performance against economic advantages and disadvantages of Lagos and not with any other state. |
UNITED MAN:U are right man. In reality, Akala was better than all the governors before him. Forget about all the negative stories around him. What did Lam Adeshina do? can anybody tell me? Nothing, that guy piped out money from the state thru rural electrification but rural was never electrified. But how would city people know? that is the strategy. Ibadan was very dirty with bad roads every where. Can anyone tell me if Ibadan was more clean then than now? Lam repainted veterinary hospital in Mokola without any facilities in it. That was all Lam could invite Obasanjo to commission, nothing else. I wonder how ppl 4get all these scandals so soon. What did Ladoja do? He was relatively better than Lam though because Lam's performance was too poor but he only built a millenium school in Monatan area which, promised ppl he was going to construct an Ibadan circular road which he never did. He patched up the very bad roads of Lam and blame the rest of his non performance on godfather Akala dualized all the major roads in Ibadan with functioning street lights and traffic lights. Ibadan never had that (except in the 80s), opened up new non existing roads. I wont go beyond this cos I am not campaigning. I am only driving home my points. I understand very well the Ibadan agenda in politics. The point is this, If Ajimobi did not perform, it is only gonna be the voiceless poor in the state that will complain, No Ibadan big boy would say anything against him because of course he is an Ibadan like them. In spite of Lams non performance, was he as hated as they hate Akala now? is he not being celebrated, infact now the godfather of ACN in the state. Much more to all this thing. thameamead:Let me explain to you, what you dont know. Governors, senators, president, ministers and any other political office holder in Nigeria who is holding political office where ppl lobby them for any reason. These group of politician dont spend their own money when they do wedding for their children or at their own birthday etc. Their lobbyists sponsor different things. This would say I would sponsor the canopy that would say I would sponsor the drinks, that other logistics. At the end of the day, too many rich sponsors for one wedding would end up lavish of course. Did you see wedding of Oshiomhole's daughter? what u call that? Unlavish ![]() I beeeeg. |
Interesting, I heard so many people asking "should Fashola clear the gutter in your house?" "Is Fashola the one dumping refuse in the gutters?" etc. Hey ppl!!! i dey laugh ooo what kind of mentality is that in Nigeria? So u think that it is your responsibility to clear gutters ![]() Okay lets assume that is the method the government of Lagos wants to use, it is possible but they have to pay all residents clearing their gutters by themself a considerable amount per hour of gutter cleaning. Otherwise, the masses are cheating themselves for thinking that they should bear the responsibility and the cost of clearing their street gutters. In the developed world, u can chose the option of emptying your garbages by yourself and get an equivalent refund from your rent or chose that the estate manager be responsible for the garbage and pay for it as part of your rent. The former option is mostly preferred by ppl living in low cost houses. Ppl seem not to realize when the govt is cheating them in Nigria and when someone is raising an objection they would begin to attack the person and defend the governor or whoever. Very funny. Nigerians are very cheap for the politicians to manipulate and cheat but may be the ppl will smarten up with time. To the second question, Although I dont know what is up as at now in Lagos but the question is, are there enough garbage bins per street per neighbourhood? If no, ppl can not be guilty of dumping in the gutter. Should they eat their thrash? |
well lets wait and see. Imagine a guy who promised the masses heaven on earth now negotiating for 9400. Meeehn, I was in naija in May, 9400 was about what I was spending on phone calls per week. Isn't that around 40/45Euros? Oh I feel the pain of the poor and helpless Nigerians. Ajimobiii, I wanna give you some more time to see what you are really up to. For now I am very very skeptical. |
This is always the problem with our politicians and unfortunately, naija people. The question we should be asking is why didnt Daniel use the same money to build low cost, well arranged housing unit for the people? No poor man would have business in this OPIC building and imagine how much they have spent. But it saddens me when some people still see sense in this kind of things for flimsy reason like "we ogun people can also be proud of skycrapers in our city" just as if it impacts any thing on their lives. |
To be clear are you saying that what Akala did is justifiable simply because thats what any politician would do? If thats the case then you must be out of your mind. There is no justification for a sitting governor to attempt to ruin his state simply because he lost out in an election. Oyo state does not belong to any one person, least of all to inbred scoundrels and thugs like Akala. On the other hand I do not understand your criticism. The man (Ajimobi) has barely spent a month in office and its obvious that the first thing anybody would do on taking up a new position in any office, comapany, organisation or government is assess the actual situation on ground. This is especially crucial in political offices because you never know the true extent of affairs until you are actually sitting in the office. I was in the US when Obama was campaining for CHANGE. He made many promises and so did McCain but this was based on information that was publicly available. Obama got in and the first thing he did was to order status reports from all major government agencies that would make him able to formulate actual policies. Governing is not by magic and stock-taking is important. its not like he's GEJ that has actually been in power as VP, continued as President for over a year before HANDING OVER TO HIMSELF and still does not have any solid policies or plans to take the country forward. At this stage GEJ should have intimate knowledge of both the problems of and the answers to Nigeria's situation yet he is dragging his feet while the country falls apart. SMH
This is the problem I have when you argue with typical Nigerians, they just give a blanket conclusion to any issue. How did my comment defend Akala's action?. Oh u expect to hear me say thumbs up Ajimobi because that is what u'd like to hear me say? I dont follow multitude, I think independently. We have to change th way we think. Let me ask you, do you want to tell me that Ajimobi did not know that Akala would play politics of checkmate when he (Ajimobi ) won. He knew of course but yet he promised that he would handle any situation because he is the one capable. Fine, nothing wrong in that. Where I have problem is when you start bombarding the media crying all day that Akala have done this and that just like he is catching you unaware. This is not the trait of a man that is capable, I am very afraid. The strategy is that he is building a foundation upon which he can capitalize his excuses for non performance or underperformance. Most especially if you people are falling for all these things now, of course you can easily forgive him for underperforming and blame it on Akala. Since he has taken his time to explain how akala's checkmate did not allow him to perform. Politicians are smarter than you, you have to be careful, they see what you dont see because you dont operate within the system. They plan ahead and manage, manipulate and filter what they tell the masses. I am talking out of experience. There is much more to what you read on the paper. It is not enough to just vote people in, you have to watch them very closely. |
Gbawe:Hee man, Do you have sympathy for one because the other is setting trap? Free yourself and see things from the other angle. Now let me ask you, would you tell me that if Ajimobi lost a batlle for 2nd term against an opposition he hates so much, most especially if such opposition as done a good job bombarding the media about his weaknesses all the time. In that case would he also not set trap? Ladoja did it to Akala and Akala to Ajimobi. Politicians fight with whatever they have. Hee but I thought ACN said that they have those evidences before they took over in that state, in fact thy capitalised on that to carry the masses along. How come they would need 6 good month to now look for what they would use to nail him, I can remember these guys claimed that they have all the evidences, they were just waiting for him to be stripped of immunity after when he would hav lost and get him arrested. Hehehehehe Politiciaaaans, Dude! are you taking them very seriously? I advise you to follow politics with less passion, then you would see more clearly. |
Tribune fo Shizzy!!! |
Hahaha I dey laff oo. Look at sentiment! People are being sluggish to actually castigate this guy for just doing the wrong thing. Now lets assume one thing. Imagine if this news was about Akala!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Akawhaaat ) This thread would have been awashed with derogatory-tongue twisting vocabularies, castigating him to hell, Na only God sabi who be saint! no be so? |
@Matiltom, U got it blatantly wrong by using Ibadan as an example for rot in public education. It has become habit for many to use Ibadan as an escape route to driving home their point from the Lagos overhype syndrome. Oyo State turned out to be the most effective implementer of the UBE scheme in the southwest geo zone, by your own judgement, you would have rated Lagos far above Oyo state in this category won't you? You now went ahead to sweet talk about LASUTH just as if its another WONDER now let me tell you, that is not peculiar to Lagos, taking the same Ibadan where you work for instance, they also renovated their hospitals and even constructed a gigantic teaching hospital equipped with modern facilities, with another relatively large annex in Oyo town, have you seen it? I bet if it was Lagos that constructed such a structure, Lagosians would asked Fashola to GO 3RD TERM. I advise you to make remarks within your scope, dont discuss issues outside your scope rather just listen and watch. @AK47mann EkoIle does not usually contribute to a thread not started by him that is why is always recklessly rude to anyone who goes against the very opinion is trying to share with is post. I think he always has this feeling like "at least, this is my post, I can rubbish any counter opinion" He often advise people to go start their own thread if they don't like his. @Dammytosh, You have made a lot of sense, this the same thing I ask people, tell me which Lagos governor did not perform. Tinubu was also hyped by Lagosians during his reigns but now they are saying he did not perform. Yet they voted en mass for a relatively uknown Fashola he endorsed back in 2007. Remember how Marwa was very popular during his time. Someone was saying that the flood issue in Lagos is natural disaster, well Fashola should not be blamed for that in fairness to him because it has been a problem created for Lagos by Lagosians since way back although he should have startd a visiple planning showing that he has started doing something to rescue it but I disagree on the excuse that its a natural disaster. More than 50% of the Kingdom of the Netherlands is below sea level, this people don't experience flooding, it is perfectly managed and this is the area where their most important cities are, they call it Randstad (Amsterdam, Utrecht, The Hague and Rotterdam) instead of you to put pressure on your government to perform, you'd begin to find excuses for them most especially if it is a darling Fashola that you love soooo much (Nonsense). I wonder why people can't just base their judgment on simple realistic analysis, someone was saying here that Lagos can not be like London because London is far richer than Lagos hence can not perform those wonders but Lagosians would never argue to this direction when they start comparing themselves with other states in the country. They would never say that Lagos has much more money and other advantages like the geographical location, the business capital and formal federal capital territory to its advantage to perform wonders compared to these other states. Lagos' last budget was announced to be almost half a trillion naira while non of the southwest states announced a budget up to 200billion naira. Most of them were within 140/50billion naira. Now look at it. If you take Edo State for example, they are not going to spend their money on Benin city alone they have other smaller cities and towns that also needs development, same goes for Ogun, Oyo and so on. The new Oyo governor went to place advertorial on the paper telling his people that they should not put pressure on him on the salary because Lagos have paid, explaining to them that the reason is because Lagos is very rich. In the case of Oyo, he can not pay. Imagine an ACN governor raising such dust! In the case of Lagos, their half a trillion budget is only for Lagos city so Lagos should be performing far better than they are doing right now. Remember that many Lagos projects are Public Private Patnership, there is a lot of private investments in those projects and interestingly, these are the projects making Lagosians fall over for fashola. The question is where exactly is Lagos money going? People need to look at these parameters and others before they begin to over hype a Lagos government and run down others. Some can not put all these things together and make their own conclusion, they can not reason independently rather they prefer to follow popular opinions and stand on it. Very bad. |
Well his wife is dead and for that reason, he is not breaking any rules if he impregnated a lady as long as she is not a minor. I am a critic of Oshiomhole but strictly on his political moves. There is no point criticizing him o n this one if he has broken no moral rules. It sounds crazy anyway but the reality is WHAT HAS HE REALLY DONE WRONG? The answer is nothing. 1) He has not impregnated a minor 2) The impregnated lady has not filed a case of rape or any other thing 3) Oshiomhole is presently not married, therefore cannot be accused of having extramarital affair My criticism against him will only arise if he it turned out that his denial is false. That will be very shameful then we would criticize him as a whole Governor lying to the public. How would the state entrust their resources in the hands of a Liar. It had better not be true. Otherwise Oshiomhole should cover is face and resign (not for impregnating a lady but for just telling a silly lie) Lets see how it ends. |

Nayah:Nayah, I agree with the 2 but what about Pierce Brosnan? He was also good, have u forgotten? BTW is that the real you in ur profile? Muuah! beautiful!! sorry for the digression anyway, (couldn't help it). |
Well Kudos to posters here for all the permutations. But hey! do u all think it is any smart to be doing all these calculations at this early hour? It would amount to total myopic reasoning when we begin to think that the political status quo will maintain till the next four years. I bet it with you, noooo, the chances are very slim, unless we want to decieve ourselves like we always like to. Dont you know that ACN has enjoyed popularity for this long easily because they were not really in power apart from Lagos. Now that they are fully in power at least in S/W then they will need to do a very hard work and maintain clean sheets in all those states. If we begin to have issues of corruption or political blunders in one or two of those ACN states at anytime, that will definitely draw down the popularity of the party and the perception of people towards them at the end of 4 years would not be the same again. I know Nigerians, by then, they might be putting all of their trusts in another party, hmm, lets say Labor party for example because it is also a small party that is yet to be polluted. So why not wait and see the ACN do the magic first before exhausting your energy on all these brainstormings? |
Some of you are saying that he has dedicated thirty years of his life to God, that argument is not acceptable for me. Just about 30 years ago, the church thing started to become a money spinner. Then pastors began to switch from mere preaching to miracle working, then it became obvious that the more miracle u can perform the more grounded you are. So is he going to quit when he was apparently seeing that the more he was staying the better it was becoming? When people like Chris Okotie were dumping the entertainment industry and coming in to0 the church arena, would you quit if it was you? Well whether he is fake or not is not my own argument and I dont even care but other argument I have seen hear to Oyak's proponent are still not convincing. Common sense can easily nullify them. Someone said ppl kept going because they are gaining something there spiritually otherwise they would have stopped. But I disagree, generally religion is like culture in Nigeria many people go to church for many flat reasons: 1) So that people wont see me as irresponsible and unGodly if I do not go to church 2) Or might be looking for miracle 3) A suitable and convenient medium to socialize, build your networks and connections 4) A nice medium to find your "life partner" 5) An entertaining environment with nice music from a creative choir (most especially if u like music) From the above reasons, you can be permanently attached to a church or a pastor who is very skillful at maintaining a perfect mix of these factors at a very high degree. I bet many goers of Oyaks church will stop going to church assuming his church ceases to exist because they would find no church around who is packaging these factors as good as Oyaks. From the spiritual sense, this should not be because the main reason why you go to church must be God not the bling blings and the shine shines and the flashy ppl that are hovering around in the church. I have seen my Oyaks' church goer friends bragging on the fact that they can access their pastor via podcast just as if its part of miracle, I shook my head for them and I asked if they do not know that the technology is there to be used up by anybody? and if all of you donate heavily to Oyaks just like you do, he can easily invest in such technology so that ppl like you can get buried further in him. Anyway its a free word, if Oyaks is the magic that keeps u going, go ahead. |
Nija4Life:I feel you meehn, my contribution would have looked exactly like this, may be citing a different example. I am impressed. @Denzel, hehehe U bad!!! Jide kosoko sho fe fishe spartacus? The picture still looking like a movie scene. Are they serious or kidding? |
Making alot of noise on the newspaper. Overblow little things and mislead the public to create a wrong impression. Is that the deal? Ajimobi I am asking you. This guy said that he will get Akala arrested with EFCC immediately he became governor what is he waiting for tiill this moment? They claimed they have evidence of Akala's lootings why have they not filed a petition with EFCC? most especially now that they are in govt which will easily afford them the opportunity to see a clearer picture of the proofs they claimed they had. Well I can't be fooled. For the avoidance of doubt, for those who think Akala has eloped, I wonder where people manufacture all these fake news. The guy is in his Ibadan residence up till now not even in Ogbomosho (in Ibadan) hosting meetings and meetings with his crew, frequent visits to Abuja. Infact he has not travelled out of the country since may 29. The Akala that you claimed has eloped since May 28 celebrated his birthday on june 3 with many people in attendance in his Bodija residence. see linkhttp://www.tribune.com.ng/sun/index.php/news/4077-i-now-know-my-true-friends-alao-akala So the fact that Ajimobi is yet to arrest him is Ajimobi's weakness. Akala is around in Ibadan in his house 5 mins drive away from the state secretariat. Lets keep watching with our eyes wide open |
Upon all your speaking in tongues, You people can not still solve simple problems. More people are dieing, more road accidents, more thieves, more poverty, more hypocrites, more bad leaders and instead of calculating a realistic approach, I guess you will all go to the corner of your room or some will go to bar beach, speak in tongue for several hours and God will whisper to them that things will be better. To compound the problem, you will go to church in new year night and your pastor will tell you that this year is your year of ascension. So the problem is solvd at least "God whispered to me and the pastor said the same thing". I wonder if they dont evaluate. The previous year, your pastor might have told u that it is your year of break through and probably the year before that was Year of good news but in reality, in most cases things dont usually get better in all thes years tagged different names except a very few which is normal. But your smart pastor will keep you in the hoping game by citing examples of a brother amongst the brethren who did not have a car last year but now he has, so continue to pray. Speak more in tongue. You will never hear a hardline speaking in tongue xtian say that "I meditated thoroughly over that complex issue yesterday and arrived at a convincing conclusion, I strongly hope it is gonna work" Instead the will say "I told daddy (referring to God) about that issue yesterday and daddy said you will make it my son/daughter so I believe I will make it in Jesus name" How would you enjoy relating with people like that who will never make sense than telling fictions which is a product in tongue. Most times when I pray to God, I am concerned about my eternal life, I dont bother God on simple things that I can easily calculate my way out. At least I appreciate my God who has given me the brain to think so I wont bother him all the time. But I know that God is not partial he gave brain to everyone but some are just lazy. |
Hmm, well as I am not fan of Tinubu tho, but the story hmmm!!! Its looking very untrue. The picture is not convincing. That does not look like our tarmac and our landscape. |
The reason why people chew meat last is that it is traditionally a kind of home training thing in Nigeria. If you serve little kids their foods with meat on it, they tend to mess around with the food by eating the meat, probably a little more portion of the meal and mess around with the rest. So the parents usually use the rule to control the kids by saying "hey you must only eat the meat until you finish the whole food otherwise i would smack you ok!!!" Its a strong training from childhood so people grow up with it. |
Absolute Nonsense. I have known before now that this is what the ACN will be coming up with. You will begin to fine people 20k for pure water sachet when u as a govt have not solved the main problems. Have they done a survey on what type bins would be required at strategic places, how many per area? who will be emptying the bins? the govt investment or private investment? Have they sensitised the public about the new development and how they will begin to manage their trashes and the provisions they have made before going ahead and talking about the penalties. Are those bins already in place? This guys are just talking about he very easiest part of the whole thing. U drop a sachet and we fine you simple! Lazy people.! |
Hey people. Ibadan is this dirty, Ibadan is that dirty. All of you are just being carried away with the crazy stereotype. I was in Nigeria last month with my colleagues for some researches on organic Agriculture. though we visited UNAAB in Abeokuta, Lautech, many organizations in Lagos and Abuja but we stayed the most in Ibadan because we were working from Moor Plantation in Apata. 2 of those guys, a German and a Dutch have worked in a similar project in Kenya and they said Nairobi was peaceful but very dirty. That was before we came to Nigeria. These guys didnt tell me that Ibadan was dirty when I asked, they only complained that things were not working. Appointments are always missed and refixed and refixed. People should be more objective with Ibadan and the dirts, I have noticed that Nigerians have the rundown instinct, they enjoy running anything down. We can not move forward that way. Look at they guy that said he moved to Ibadan from Lagos and it was too dirty. That sound to me very dull. We know the dirty places in Ibadan. These are mostly places where the low income earners live. If you look at the geographical structure, Lagos Ibadan expressway cuts through these dirty places, Olorunshogo, Academy, (I dont know what the rest areas are called) These areas are what most ppl see when they travel through Ibadan to Benin or the North and they'd say Ibadan is dirty because its a long drive and it gives you an impression that U have seen the greater part of the city. You may never have business in these places if you live in Ibadan because there is no business going on in those areas, its purely residential. Those people are poor, dense population so as educated people, u should know that there will surely be dirts and filth in such cases. But aside those places then I cant say Ibadan is as dirty as being discussed here, Is challenge dirty? Mokola? even Dugbe. Is Bodija dirty? Onireke, Oluyole, and so on. I didnt see heaps of refuse on roadsides and the highways were relatively clean of litters. From Ringroad-Dugbe-Mokola-Sango-U.I-Ojoo, Challenge-Gate-Iworoad-straight down to Olodo, all nice roads, has been expanded to double lanes, smooth and relatively clean with even street lights at night. Stop messing Ibadan as if the city is not getting better, some of you are from towns much uglier than Ibadan and most of you ran like refugees to Lagos which you might be claiming that you belong. So think twice before just being negative about anything. U may put dirty pictures of these places to prove me wrong if you have them. I was there last month May and for me I was impressed that the city is even looking better than expected. |
