BrotherJesu: My mum is very beautiful, and successful yoruba woman but dosent regard her husband a bit, Trouble got out hands when she got her first car and her husband who is an engineer doesnt have one yet,she then became pompous and over protective of the car that even those around; church and family knew that popxy doesnt own the car. Mumc is an established fashion designer and holds several positions in Nigerian Union ofTailors, as a result of this she comes home very late not givin any excus. As time goes by she stopped cooking him as she is always busy with work or travelling on state sponsored trips she does not bother to notify her husband whenever she is travelling. There was a day i was so angry kus even my friends have started to take note and it becoming embarrasing, so i spoke with her, while talking she broke down in tears, she said she is the one responsible for 80 percent of the house expenses that popcy recieves 400k monthly bt always complaining of bin broke, she said other things i cant really type here. This went own for a long time, they soon became enemies in the same house everyone going there way doing things differently, admist all these popsy has never rised his voice on her even when mumcy somethings did very annoing stuffs. In the heat of this, popsy impregnated another babe although i have never seen the woman nor the child since birth which is close to two years. He apologised and promised to never bring them to interfere in our lives. However this literary set our house on fire. While mumc was gettin over the haertbraek, she promised to get back at him which i didnt undesrand then. She stays at home doing nothing. Painting her nails I believe not being apologetic is just a figment of the whole brouhaha. Romance › Re: 5 Reasons Why Prostitution Is Increasing In Nigeria by Apina(m): 1:57pm On Sep 16, 2017 |
Rapmoney: The business of offering sexual pleasures for material things by humans, especially the female folks, has been in existence since a time no one can tell or remember. This profession exist in most part of the globe; even places where people eat, drink, dream and talk religious doctrines. The difference is the rate and modus operandi which are normally dependent on cultural values and socio-economic conditions.
Despite our cultural values we erroneously claim to hold so dearly, certain factors have proven to us that our so much touted cultural values have been beaten and rubbed on the mud like a lazy school boy by these same factors. Below are some factors that have necessitated the increase of prostitution in Nigeria in recent times.
1. POVERTY: The high rate of poverty in Nigeria has forced so many struggling parents to reluctantly neglect the welfare of their children. Let me tell you today, the level of patience in men is higer than that of women. It is easier for a young man to bear hunger and economic deprivation for a period than a young woman. It is even worse in women if such a woman is pretty and naturally endowed. Poverty and prostitution are like bread and akara; they go pari pasu. This has made many young women, both the educated and uneducated, to delve into the 'money for hand, back for fround' job. These days, the average naija babe you meet anywhere is likely to show you some olosho tendencies within minutes. Mechanics no let us know who be craze again; my guy, town dor cast! Country no easy!
2) THE MUSIC INDUSTRY: Most Nigerian songs promote the situation where young women offer sex for material gains. I mean, our music industry is so messed up to the point where these folks that call themselves artistes go to the studio to cook up crappy stuffs as songs with little or no sense! The main focus is usually worshipping the boobs and backside of young women and how they can die for these by spending their money. These are not love songs; we have always been given doses and doses of prostitution music over and over again in Nigeria. Now, what do you expect from young teenage girls who assimilate these songs into their mentality? They see whatever natural feauture they possess as means to obtain material things and offer sex in return.
3) THE OVER-DEPENDENCY MENTALITY OF MOST FEMALES IN OUR SOCIETY: Most girls now prefer to get quick money through this trade by barter that still uses currencies. They'd rather do this than apply their energy to other things that can generate funds. Some girls you call 'small girls' in your neighbourhood are not really 'small girls'. These girls take flight to places like Abuja and Port-Harcourt to bang and lick the navels of money bags over 60!!!
4) PARENTAL IRRESPONSIBILITY: Some parents are nothing but stooges and effigies in the lives of their daughters. They hardly care who she moves with or how she lives. All fathers are men and all mothers, women but not all men are fathers and not all women, mothers. You are raising a call-girl when you don't care how your 19-year old daughter was able to acquire a phone worth 170k and you know she is still dependent on you. You wey be her papa still dey stay zinc house!
5) LACK OF CONTENTMENT: Some young women are never contented with what they have. They are very eager to follow trends. They want to make use of the latest electronic gadgets, have their bank accounts credited often by different men, etc. Even some young women that work and earn steady income still engage in this trade just to keep up with trends.
Except you are married and faithful to your wife, or a celibate or eunuch, let no man boast he does not patronize prostitutes. Your girlfriend who you spend on and she gives you sex is likely a prostitute! That is the defnition of prostitution! There are people who have been affected by these conditions and they are not prostituting, and also people who have not been affected by any but are into the business. It's a matter of choice, stop making up excuses on their behalf |
Romance › Re: She Had 2 Abortions For Him, She's Pregnant Again & He Wants Another Abortion by Apina(m): 1:35pm On Sep 16, 2017 |
MissKim: Please, Is Her Man Playing Her Or Just A Victim Of Circumstance?
HI
My girlfriend came to my house yesterday and during girls chit chat, she told me something that is kind of baffling to me.
She met this guy late 2015 on facebook and they later met in person. They have been in relationship since then till now. She told me she had 2 abortions for him last year immidiately she missed her period by taking a drug. He gave her his reasons, that he is not yet buoyant to foot pregnancy, baby, traditional marriage and that his place is too small to house relations that may want to visit.
She missed her period 4days ago and she told her boyfriend she will want to keep it and suggested him paying only bride price since he had the plan to marry her like he said, but he told her that, that will obstruct his plan to travel out by him making use of his budgeted money and also it is expensive for him now to keep to take care of pregnancy, mother and baby. He then suggested she starts taking unripe papaya, parsley leaves etc to miscarry since she just missed her period. She came to me feeling confused.
I told her if the guy truly loves her and want to make her future wife finances shouldn't be the problem...but in all, the decision is hers to make. It is obvious this guy is not that serious but may be wrong.
Just wondering how many of you would decide to marry their present girlfriend if such case presents itself. Though i do not support marriage because of pregnancy. I don't know if it's ignorance or sheer stupidity. How can she abort 1,2 and still open her legs for a third? Your friend needs Jesus! |
Politics › Re: Nigerian Military Declares IPOB As A "Militant Terrorist Organisation" by Apina(m): 7:24pm On Sep 15, 2017 |
nkwuocha1: Lol. Northern Army with their myopic mindset . IPOB Is a movement, a movement of certain percentage of Igbos who wish to have their their own country through referendum.
All these that happened in ABA was to taste the ground, the military needed to find out the level of destruction that might take place if they carry out their intended mission of eliminating Nnamdi Kanu. Smart people know their unintelligent moves. Definitely, igbos should expect more challenges as they know that Igbos too are ready for them as well. The quick movement of youths from different igbo speaking states with buses and quick destruction of federal properties was actually a game on. They got the message alright;IPOB meant biafra or death for REAL!They will restrategize for sure. The coming weeks will reveal other strategies.
Let's face it! Na gun be Army power.Power comes from the barrel of a gun. They are not well trained to defend themselves in physical combat. No wonder naija delta militants dey chop them like fish inside creeks water. If only this government will be truthful and post the number of Army and naval personal missing in the naija delta especially bayelsa....
I watched the video of the IPOB swimming in mould water. That's what they should expect and more if ever they want to be liberated. Nothing comes easy, sometimes ejaculation/orgasm still comes with pain. For those who lost their lives, my heart goes to their families. It's the choice they made.... We shall all die someday.
The Igbos might have their problems, but whatever be the course they are fighting Now will birth a message to other generations to come. There's is no room for slavery in our land, little wonder we had a decentralized government in pre-colonial times. We may not get biafra quite soon.... But the status quo where a particular tribe feels they are born to rule MUST change. Nigeria MUST change else the country can never be at peace!
Nnamdi kanu, I never liked the guy but he has got guts. Atleast somebody is revolutionizing the country, doesn't matter what way; The only language Nigeria government understands is violence. Dialogue has never worked, if it had, We won't be here fighting ourselves with hate speeches and ethnic/genocidal threats.
Nigeria is a forced union. It's either we live in peace or war in pieces. Truth is, Nigeria was never at peace. We just had a country where her citizens go about their activities as long as they can work and get paid. The recession just brought out the worst in all of us coupled with the bad leadership of president Buhari. Is he the first northerner that has ruled Nigeria? Fulani herdsmen are terrorists yet they have miyetti Allah as their political platform. Whatever happens to them is ultimately defended by the association. Who are we deceiving in this country?
The civil unrest that is brewing is inevitable. It's long overdue. The country need to be thoroughly overhauled through restructuring FIRST, then secession if need be. No matter how we try to manage Nigeria, it cannot work, the average Nigeria youth is tired. A tired, hungry and subjugated man is one who has got nothing to lose if he decides to fight for a better standard of living. Even a rabid dog down,do not want to be hunted.
To those irritants who feels this "war" is an igbo /hausa one, I laugh you with my neck bent upwards. When it starts, it will bring along various riots from aggrieved groups; Those butchered by herdsmen,Muslim Vs Christian, Mambilla vs Fulani, aggrieved Shiites vs Sunni muslims,States with border /land issues especially those states that suffered political divide and rule tactics, Boko Haram will intensify, Naija delta militants, etc.All will hijack the whole unrest ... at the end of it, How many will remain?
What is coming in few weeks to come will be terrible. My brother u really have foresight. Many who have chosen to sit by the fence are gradually jumping into the field. Declaring them a terrorist group is simply asking for an arms struggle which is very unwise. |
Family › Re: Re-prioritize: A Clarion Call To Ladies by Apina(m): 3:54pm On Sep 15, 2017 |
Kayceenaz: I take exception to your view. The foundation of my contention is a sheer desire to see ladies embrace a perspective of purposefulness, difference-making and discard life-patterns that stiffle the maximization of their potentials. It is not necessarily feministic, because the same orientation is applicable to and can be shared by men. The article's basis is humanism. More so, I made that statement to clearly define the scope of my article and avoid getting entangled in the feminism debate. A writer who isn't open to criticism and instead of asking why, comes up with a defense is either lethargic to learning or has no desire to improve. |
Family › Re: Re-prioritize: A Clarion Call To Ladies by Apina(m): 11:10am On Sep 15, 2017 |
Kayceenaz: Going through one of the Groups on Whatsapp social network that I am fortunately a member of, yesterday evening, exposed me to the thought-provoking speech delivered by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, a literary juggernaut, titled "Why We Should All Be Feminists," in an event few years ago. Reading each line was a voyage of discovery, as I was amazed the more by the wittiness of the author and her articulate redefinition of feminism. Few days earlier, I came across a topic in a textbook bordering on feminism, which piqued my interest and was perceived as a means to enrich my-inquisitive-self on the much talked about feminist school of thought. Without further ado, I immersed myself in it, hoping to be cured of my feminism ignorance. Feminism is not an uncommon word in the female sphere and this is not unrelated to its etymological reference to female folks. This is becoming the case in the male sphere, too mainly because of the idea that it is diametrically opposed to status-quo and aimed at undermining the male folks. Whether feminism is valid or invalid is a topic for another day.
The focal point is the relentlessness of this woman of difficult virtue to carve a niche for herself, and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of global thought amidst a society where priorities are being ill-defined. It is no breaking news that this misunderstanding of what a lady or woman should feed her attention on is a thorn in the skin of our socio-political well-being. This sheds light on the crave for fashion, relationship/marriage, and money that is widespread among most ladies today. Although all the aforementioned are worth having, problem creeps in when they become the be-all-and-end-all of most females' consideration and dominate their scale of preference. The distance between what truly matters and themselves is so wide, and yet they remain unaware.
Sadly, it is a rarity to see Chimamanda Ngozi Adichies today in this part of the globe that are willing to break free from this ugly trend, enhance the society via their talents, and envision to leave their footprints in the sand of time; ladies that are committed to touching lives and exuding emulative virtues. Making your existence count is a product of re-prioritizing your priorities. It entails calling yourself to order, re-evaluating your interests reflective in your actions, and weighing them on the scale of difference-making/purposefulness. Brandishing your body shape or figure, clothes, relationship status, or material acquisition puts a very big question mark on your person, values, and inevitably the female agitation to be taken seriously summarized in feminism. Aligning yourself with the "happening babe" notion depresses, rather than impress. It depresses your spirit-man, self-esteem without you in the know and supresses your potentials to a great extent.
However, Jane Goodall, a reverred UN ambassador, said "You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide the kind of difference you want to make." So become a lady or woman that her worth transcends her physique or ring on the finger. One that is appreciated due to the beauty of her intellect, character and not primarily the beauty of her body. A lady that growing kids, guys and ladies, men and women would look up to and come to value her values. A woman of substance and societal relevance that resonates hope to all. Would you become one? Yes? Make it happen.
Kaycee Naze (Rational Pen) When I got to that point(bolded) I stopped reading cos it simply meant there is no foundation to whatever u had to say. |
Christianity Etc › Re: Demands For Money And Other Things By Worshippers In My Local Church by Apina(m): 8:31am On Sep 15, 2017 |
kennybabs1980: I started pastoring a small parish of a big Pentecostal church in Akure in 2012. We used to meet in a small location in a housing estate until 2015 when we relocated to our permanent site, a location that's about 10km farther than our former site.
Most of the worshippers in the former location refused to relocate when we moved because of the distance and associated stress. That means we have to start the parish all over again. So we have been having very low attendance which has been improving since about 4 months now.
The new site is a new community occupied mainly by people who have just moved to their personal houses. More than 60% of the plots remained undeveloped for now.
One major issue here is the rate at which most people that attend the parish sees the church as a place where their needs must be met. They keep coming up with one demand or the other every week. Their demands include food, money and now that school is about to resume, school fees and books. Parents will teach their little children to go and tell stories of how they can't resume at school since they don't have school fees and books, elderly people even come around to ask for money and food, this situation is becoming very disturbing and worrisome.
How can people see a very small church of less than 40 (90% children) in attendance as a source of supply of all their needs? Our parent church don't get involved in funding the small parish, we are the one who returns our tithes and offerings to the national headquarters every month. Offering in the church is small, adults come around to put N10 or N20 in offering bag and later send their children to go and ask for N10k assistance, I got pissed off this evening when a small girl who attends a public secondary school came around to ask for school fees of N10k and books of N10k for herself and same for her 2 siblings making a total of N30k. We bought exercise books and gave 4 to each pupil just last Sunday with pencils and biros and between then and now, they have bombarded the church with demands of well over N100k. Where do they really want the church to meet their demands? The church is operating under a temporary shed we put up in 2015, we've not been able to continue with serious building project due to paucity of funds. We (I, my wife, my assistant and his wife) have been trying in the areas of giving out food items, money, drugs, clothes etc to these people yet its one demand or the other on a daily basis. I see these attitude as unwholesome, disturbing and unfair.
I need serious suggestions on how to really handle this situation as it is already dampening my morale. Matured and spiritual suggestions welcomed, thanks. Start giving account of their offering to them every Sunday so that they know how inconsiderate their demands are. |

Mr. Man, it is not only an abomination in all cultures what your wife just did. It is also insulting and a painful slap to your face.
Kick her out to her parents house first. Then, you can start the divorce proceedings later. But first kick her out today and not tomorrow.
What rubbish is this?and if the Catholic church wants to say anything, give them the middle finger and move on to the Anglican Church.
May God never let us bachelor's marry a girl, and then bring up the child of her EX boyfriend as ours, AMEN.
Expecting some useless people to call the News and the Newspaper a lie, because it says the woman was married in Anambra State. According to the Catholic law on marriage as contained in the canon law, deceit automatically makes the union invalid cos the pregnancy is an impediment. |
