iyatrustee:There far more unreasonable people out there than you think. I get to deal with people in the closest possible manner. Something relatively few people (in general population) get to do. On the surface the lady I mentioned would pass for the friendliest, happiest, most reasonable and nicest person. Except to us who know her well. Many of those decent people you see have very dark sides. Many women also over-estimate their smartness and judgement in love matters. I have mentioned it here on NL often. My female friends date some guys whom as a guy you know they are very unserious. But tell your beautiful, intelligent, educated and lovely female friend about it and see her response. She will tell you that she is not a kid. That she knows what you want. Some will even say you are jealous. With time I stopped telling them. But my predictions hardly ever goes wrong. Either the heartbreak comes during dating or later in marriage. Of late the rate after 6 months to two years of marriage is alarming. Too many misplaced priorities going into marriage. And leavin too. In diaspora with less stigma attached, lots of women will walk out without weighing it much. But later they'll realise that even freedom has a price. In the West, a far higher number of blacks in jail come from a single parent family. Usually with mother only, Sure not in all cases did the mother jusyt walked out. Some are deadbeat dads. At the end, all those judgement some women make that the pasture is greener (when no domestic violence/abuse or serious neglect is involved) on the other side hardly works. Even less with three kids in tow. ![]() |
grandstar:Well at least he knows himself well. If people know they are not cut out for marriage they should not succumb to societal or religious pressure to get married. And by all means NEVER have kids they are not going to be there to raise. Marriages can fail of course but at least let it be that you went in initially meaning to make it work. |
iyatrustee:Then you have not seen much in life. I have seen women do worse. Fact is some women are very difficult to please. I know of a woman who chased her hubby out. They have three kids too. The man called us fellow 9ja to intervene. That the lady should tell us what he has done wrong. We all went to settle the matter. The guy works, doesn't womanise (at least not any the woman could tell us about), he pays the bills, etc. The lady was even a student at that time, not working. Everybody pleaded with her that in whatever way the man has wronged her, she should forgive him. That they have three kids to raise together. It also happened soon after her marriage to him qualified her for a European passport. And just about to finish her studies. Till today, she did not even listen to her kids who love their dad and want him back. Years have passed now. At times women calculate that they are financially better off single due to benefits from the state. The selfish ones take that route. Whether hubby is good or not. |
Athena4:The face did not chase her away while having three kids? The lady just waited to let the kids get Spanish passports (which entitles them to live and gets all benefits within EU) before taking them away to collect benefits in a more affluent country like Germany. If not for Brexit uncertainties, she probably would have gone to UK. You will be afraid when you see how some of our women abuse the rights the West gives to women. |
Hmmmm. Not good. |
KingAzubuike:That is not the issue. Passport or no passport, allegiance or no allegiance, you are still 9ja. Of course military service requires utmost loyalty. It can be a matter of life and death. Not surprising. There are several countries that do not low dual citizenship even without military service involved. People renounce their original citizenship daily. |
Chizzyjoyce:It is not about model. It is that these models though in other countries but also have versions made with adjustment to the rough terrain and environment of Nigeria. So only car models that have some of it adjusted that Toyota official dealers will offer within Nigeria. Because only those are deemed up to standard by Toyota and offer the usual warranty for. Assuming the list is complete, it means you cannot buy a Toyota Celica from those official dealers. Toyota just don't have supply them to sell in Nigeria. But unofficial dealers can get them into Nigeria from Western countries where Celica is deemed good enough for the environment. |
KingAzubuike:I know some Nigerian born, bred and educated people in US military. Majors and at least one Lt. Col. Not born in US. As far back as ten years ago. That they now hold US citizenship doesn't mean they are no more Nigerians. |
Very nice. Joining the ranks of other Nigerians in US armed forces. No doubt she's highly qualified both academically and otherwise. |
vastolord4:According to news some years back govt did little for his family. They went to interview his elderly mum and relatives. You know how 9ja govt never fulfil promises. When they do anything, it's always sporadic and at times decades later. Some medal winners in various international games are still waiting for houses and other benefits promised. As a Buhari critic, I can say this is one area he has performed at least a little bit. Better than most before him. At least from the news we hear. Assuming there is no Lai Mohammed spin to them o. |
People believe if they steal enough public money, they can go anywhere to enjoy it. But they are wrong. Once you refuse to develop your country purposely, cause mass migration of the oppressed masses, some of them will go ruin our reputation over there. If a country is stigmatised, but the rich and poor suffer the consequences. You will be guilty until you prove your innocence. Especially in those less tolerant countries. |
Most students are like JSS kids these days. University now secondary school so no surprise. |
Sex is a kind of sin in every cultures if not within marriage. Within marriage is no news as it is normal. Therefore outside of marriage has to be the focus. As we know humans like doing what they shouldn't do. The trend already began with Adam and Eve. Knowing this human weakness, people condemn sexual stuff to reassure themselves that they are not as bad as those other people out their. Of course we know that maybe the opposite. Until a person in position of authority is caught doing it, he pretends to be above board. Especially to showcase their upright nature to the public. Such as a lecturer sleeping with female students of 18 21, a married pastor sleeping with married female church members, etc. |
chiommy123:Aneke the bird. Abeg reference the Great Prof. Chinua Achebe. |
iRepNaija1:Well, in this context the therapist lady clearly used good sex and proper sex interchangeably. If you line up 2000 one-minute men of good sperm count and healthy sperm, to kpensh their Fertile spouses during their heat, many will get pregnant. If you line up another 2000 forty minutes men to do same, roughly same number will get pregnant. But we all know which group of women will wear a bigger smile every morning. ![]() Our people even have a native proverb: nor be how long person tey for woman chest him dey take gi am belle. |
chelseaeternity:Merchandise. |
iRepNaija1:Lol! Procreating is not equal to good sex though. High population simply means poor or no planning at all. With bad economy bad sex just makes life worse. It also encourages cheating. Both individuals and families refusing to do or promote family planning. Far better to have few kids but a good sex life. |
highsurge:It can run a flat tire. |
I guess it was an illegal structure. If not those who ordered demolition would be the worst and most foolish imbeciles alive. The place could have become a good nursery school, orphanage or kids' library. Or even an adult education centre. |
In America and elsewhere people faint on seeing celebrities. Like Michael Jackson fans then. Beyonce and others still cause same. I may not subscribe to the idea but people are different. Add hunger of fasting period to it. Not surprising. |
Autojosh surely has the "Kanmuri" of car knowledge. |
None sir. Those two things don't go together in Nigeria. ![]() |
AllenSpencer:. My guy, ctry stay here alive as long as you can and enjoy it... Me I cannot bank on something nobody has seen. Heaven may not be all it is cracked up to be. If only problems, diseases, hunger, poverty, wars, politics, crimes, racism, tribalism, corruption, extremism, and strife would just be wiped out of this world, I'd be very fine here. |
Well, maybe after many girls he dated turned out to be arrogant, gold-excavators and dating multiple guys alongside him, I guess finally finding a half way decent one is worth shedding tears of joy for. My own theory. Shebi na love emotional affairs theory dey reign now. ![]() |
One thing Muslims do very well is burying the dead within 24 hours. I see no point leaving bodies for months and years to raise money for a "befitting" burial. I have to join vanity crew on this. It is vanity. RIP to the late chief. |
Tasteless of the best man. |
SarkinYarki:Lol. Such a break would gladden some Modakeke people. SW have more reverence for Kings. It won't happen. |
OK. |
yinkus6750:Abi o. Oko oyinbo pepper should be careful too. After using him, they will tell him that Edo has only few votes nationally to influence presidential elections. They will then dump him to fall. The short man kukuma near ground already. ![]() |
