Na wa o. Hope none has a criminal record. NPF needs total reform. Its reputation is terrible. Thousands applying due to few alternatives should not mask their unpopularity. |
Africa. Long way to go. |
If I am not too busy, we get to chat. I have done so for a long time. At least most JWs actually try to do what they preach and not pre-occupied with wealth, money, status etc. The closest to the simplicity Jesus preached. I have visited their convention, and KH many times, never dropped a penny & nobody bothered me or looked down on me for it. At a difficult point in my life that came out of the blue, faraway from home, with no family, only a JW couple unfailingly came to see me. Even when initially I could hardly recognise they were around. They encouraged and helped go through it. Other so-called "Christian friends" hardly bothered. I will never forget that. |
DanielPop:One thing alien to many people in some other regions is that empty threat is not part of ND culture. Yes, a few big mouths might mis-yarn sometimes but that is generally not the case. If you see even a child holds a weapon & say I will deal with you, better run for your dear life. People are generally accommodating but better understand that yes means yes, no means no. No chameleon things there. ![]() If Buhari wants to achieve anything positive after his failed military misadventure as a dictator, it better be turning 9ja into a true Federal system. If he continues with his Northern condescending feudalistic ways, he will just stumble from disaster to disaster (economic, power, unemployment, insecurity, separatist militants, etc) until the end of his term in office. Then the SW who are eternally weighing permutations might turn their backs on him & back another Northerner who promises to handover to SW in 2023. Reverse gear is not hard in SW. ![]() |
Elijahrona2:Sorry to burst your bubble. Multiple birth depends far more on the woman than the man. It has a strong genetic correlation. Don't expect a woman without history of twins in her lineage to give you twins. Better marry a lady called Kenny or Tai. ![]() But if the Tai or Kenny you marry gives you no joy, don't come seeking our advice here o. ![]() |
babdap:Fact is hate is now everywhere. Like the one the self-styled owners of Nigeria showed towards Jonathan. We should just accept now that there's no love lost. 9ja is far more divided now. Even during Biafra War, there were largely two sides. Pro-Biafra & Pro-Nigeria. Now, the sides & faultlines are many. |
Na wa o. There is time for everything. At this point, a simple commiseration & highlighting sanctity of life would be enough. Leadership is really not easily. Not everyone is cut out for it. ![]() |
delishpot:Very common thing. They will brainwash & claim babalawo or pastor saw vision that the other woman is just nice the draw her step kids close and harm them without suspicion. Only few step kids are wise & strong enough to see through the evil machinations of their own biological mum. After all The seed of discord is often sowed by a woman. The daughters often mostly side with their mum, preparing them for a career as a bad step-mum, bad daughter-in-law and so on. Often when you see a child emerge from such a toxic motherly influence unscathed, he/she is often extremely nice. |
Bruce, na only you waka come? It seems you like them yellow pawpaw. Mama & Iyawo. ![]() |
janellemonae:Wrong. By Most standandards, Benin is and has been a city since 1550s. Population wise, it's one of only about 10 cities in 9ja with over 1 million people. About 1.2m currently. Alongside Ibadan, Kano, Lagos, Kaduna, PH. And of late Abuja, Ogbomosho, Aba, Maiduguri & Zaria. No way you can put Ilesha of 233k people or Oshogbo of 420k in same category as Benin City. You need to travel more. Commerce wise, it has one of the highest bank densities in 9ja. Same with urbanisation. While Benin may now not compare favourably with Amsterdam or Rotterdam in terms of development, as Dutch travellers rated it centuries ago, which Nigerian city does today? Onitsha & Warri with about 500k people and good commercial activities will not necessarily cut it as cities. |
If somebody cannot peacefully leave ordinary NFF even after a lengthy CAF ban, maybe people can begin to appreciate GEJ who relinquished power as President & C-in-C, and all the powers that go with it. Vacating power is not easy. Only very few decent people do so willingly if there's any little possibility of clinging on. Some even suddenly come up with a third term agenda. Like OBJ. ![]() |
dominique:My dear. Does it mean the old paedo could not be sent to a prison in another town within the state? |
djakinwande:Centuries back, it was quite possible. You could eat cold agidi with corn akara, or other stuff made of condiments prepared even days earlier and eaten cold. You could soak garri & eat with dried meat, groundnuts or fish. Eba or amala made the previous day can be used to eat sun-warmed soup. Fruits like pineapples, oranges, coconuts, mangoes, pawpaw. A single day of not cooking is nothing. In ancient times, it would be for weeks. ![]() These days, several churches do dry fasting for many days. |
tansho:You nor tire. I think they just arrest some people out of favour or not that connected without doing their homework properly In the end their case against them will not hold water. With OBJ, IBB, Tinubu, Amaechi and others walking around, it is obviously a selective thing. Even if selective, actual convictions would make sense. Maybe years from now, another leader will selectively prosecute those in power or in favour now. Refusal to name looters make the whole thing smell of scam. I don't want anyone quietly returning money. All should go to jail and return the money with interest. |
Eleyi gidi gan. Na that one be visibly edible punany. ![]() |
VenusBetty:As play things yes. But not as housewife. Call it hypocrisy but when a girl offers her vanity easily, wetin man go do? ![]() |
When 9ja did not scatter in 2015 as predicted by USA, we all probably jubilated too soon. We forgot it was only probably averted by GEJ's respect for democracy. Now these lot are working hard to ensure it happens. Siddon look. |
Engrobiorah:You cannot diagnose it so quickly. Does the blood come with diarrhoea, that maybe sometimes has mucus? Has he undergone colonoscopy/sigmoidoscopy? Has he been tested for anaemia/blood test? Perhaps looking pale/tired on examination? Is he using NSAIDs (Aspirin/Ibuprofen, etc)coincidentally when they occur? Is anybody else in his family affected? He needs to do a proper medical work-up to diagnose. Otherwise the causes of flare-ups (episodes of symptoms if indeed ulcerative colitis) can be missed, therefore not knowing to avoid them. Even something as simple as stress as a cause. It might just be piles but he should see a gastro-enterologist (digestive tract physician). |
kaeforum:Buhari joined the army training in 1961. Post-independence. But passing certain subjects was still required. And had to be cross-checked when results are out. The point is affirmative action to favour the North & and dumbing down standards for them have been there "it has tey". ![]() |
goodfornothing:Women too should be careful. Many start talking of marriage on first date, are they so desperate?? Lately, I'm surprised by how many young marriages are failing. I think these almost "forced" marriage promises are contributing. Imagine one lady with failed marriage of only three years just told me they had a no-sex short courtship. The only way to "chop" apple was to quickly marry. Lo and behold, there was no sexual chemistry. Now who do you blame for this, pastor who encouraged the marriage, the lady or man? When a man bails out of marriage promise, there can be many reasons behind it. The guy might just have co-incidentally noticed all the other less savoury sides of her. A failed relationship is still far better than a failed marriage after 2 young kids. This topic will make you popular among NL ladies, especially the marriage desperados. But don't fool anyone. People get jilted every time. Both guys and girls. I was jilted but I moved on. Even though she tried coming back, but I already moved on. |
I weep for education in 9ja these days. Education ministers over the past few decades need to be lined up & flogged thoroughly. In class three in secondary school, we already covered the Geysers of Yellowstone, Wyoming, USA. The Saint Lawrence River & logging, its importance in transporting of timber in Quebec/Ontario/USA border area historically, Shipbuilding in Japan, and many other stuff in physical & regional geography. I still remember a great deal of it. No wonder we did not feel intimidated by any university anywhere in the world. That's how confident we were. Nowadays people spend more time expecting miracles in churches than reading their books. So that even simple natural phenomena are wonders to them. |
manakocha:They should re-introduce HSC or A levels. A certificate that is valid for life and can be used as minimum for police, army and paramilitary recruitment and certain other lower cadre positions. A new 6-5-2-3/4/5 system. It works well in UK, France, Germany, etc. Jamb should just be a central application office like ZVS in Germany or UCAS in UK. |
CzarRex:. This is actually bad news. Because FG should first provide around 16 new universities and create around 300k extra places before announcing such. FG cannot force universities to admit beyond capacity. Naturally cut off mark will just be a guide since universities admit the highest scoring students before minimum scorers. Therefore massive bribery will come in because even a higher number of candidates with minimum 180 will now be chasing after fewer slots. Since post UMTE as screening tool is out. |
attackgat:9ja was never meant to succeed or be great. It was meant for colonial exploitation. Since we have not been smart enough to restructure for success later, no miracle will happen. The result is a chequered history since 55 years. Sleepwalking from one disaster to the next. Optimism is good. But doing same foolish things and expecting different results is utter stupidity. ![]() |
OohLalah:But GEJ was called names for not strolling around the streets of Chibok, did he have magic for dodging Boko bombs?? |
kaeforum:First question is how did he enter the army with a mere letter from school principal? When you figure that out you can figure the rest out. ![]() |
Depending on how you want to use it. If for everyday use and toks, I'd prefer Pilot. If for Sunday/occasional use & toks, ML320 might be better. The lux feel & all. Need for repair (more expensive parts) will be less. |
Old news. Was on NL FP like 3 or 4 years ago. |
Splinz:He might be corrupt but he's a good businessman. Businessmen are result-orientated. They seek solution to issues. That's the only way they make profit timely. Atiku was looking for what will be functional between short term & medium term while planning long term solution. |
richidinho:Let am continue do tatafo about. Maybe na rumour go pay for his one room Face-Me-I-kick-Your-Blokors house wey he dey. ![]() |
busyfishing:Mamba bite is simply deadly. Note that black mamba is NOT actually black. They can be brown to grey, while really mature ones can be very dark in colour. I wonder why we cannot use biotech option to develop the anti-venom and sell to Uganda and other places were mambas claim casualties in rural areas. We have excellent biologists, biochemists, geneticists, pharmacologists, chemists, biotechnologists, etc. What is our Ministry of Science & Technology doing? |
icon8:You try but may not be fully correct. Even my Baba, an elderly man, has several accounts. Most of the accounts might even belong to same people. At the end maybe only 10 to 20m people own those 70m accounts. ![]() |

How did he survive the rigors of army training.
