MetaHuman:Fact. Buhari's quota system people cannot do a decent budget. From inability to write correct dates on letter and wrong details in budget. Who's to say this is not another error? His people seem very incapable. A judge will sooner sign a warrant to search a known thief's house than for another citizen without thievery record. Common sense. Buhari still has not come out to openly give the facts. The unsigned budget could have been for other reasons not mentioned. Politics is full of secrets and ulterior motives. |
olutunde12:When he was decamping to APC, he was welcomed with fanfare. He was not a problem then. Hypocrisy. ![]() People should get a dose of their own medicine. If you gang up to scatter another man's house, yours will scatter too. Their story fits their plan to hang every failure of this govt on Saraki. Which of them is a greater sinner? A man like Buhari who raped the will of a nation by overthrowing a democratic government or Saraki who manipulated to democratically wangle his way to Senate Presidency? A crime of treason if he did not succeed in the coup? |
MetaHuman:I believe what I have witnessed happen. Buhari evidently cancelled rail before. In my own life time. When something goes missing in the neighbourhood, Police seek out known offenders first. Maybe unfair, but Police would look silly if they didn't go there first and those old bad guys actually did it. Buhari has done it before. I have never heard of Saraki removing railway from budget before. For now, no evidence or copy of budget including Lagos-Calabar Railway. A serious leader would have clarified that matter on air since. Even if visiting war zone in Syria, journalists are with him. Let alone China where journalists are everywhere to broadcast it. The matter is heating up the polity back home. Borrowing or not borrowing billions from China, a leader must calm tensions to ensure peace at home. |
Yep, funnily spot on. ![]() |
seanblaise:Have you seen verified copies of the budget that includes the railway and the final NASS one that doesn't include it? Those of us old enough know one person with a record of cancelling rail stuff in the South: Buhari. Ask Chief Lateef Jakande with happened to Lagos metroline and deposit paid by Lagos State after Buhari coup. People easily believe anything bad they hear about Saraki. Because they are programmed to. You think Ben Bruce, Akpabio and other SS & SE senators will just be looking as the rail is removed by Saraki? ![]() |
Kingspin:Like Dongara said, it's easy. Shall we see verified copies of the original budget that includes Lagos-Calabar railway? And copies of NASS one with the railway missing? |
bejeiodus:Which reputation? In this highest bidder system of 9ja today? 4get that thing. ![]() |
ugnmezi:Lol. Deo = God. Compare with words for God in Latin/Romance languages: Dieu (French), Dios (Spanish), Dio (Italian), Deus (Portuguese), Dumnezeu (Romanian) & Déu (Catalan). |
marsoden:Weyrey. ![]() |
Jirate:Buhari has never been a fan of trains or transport system in the South. He cancelled Jakande's Lagos metro system. See the transport wahala and gridlock in Lagos today. As an oil Junkee, if the project is not about oil, he's not interested. That is another GEJ program gone. |
PUSH1:The fact remains that his policies are harming the economy. Economy is contracting, reduced Purchasing managers index (PMI) and there are job losses and therefore reduced tax intake & there's inflation. Serious countries take these established economic indices seriously. Buhari should focus on reducing recurrent expenditure. If he's brave, he should take on NASS to slash their over-bloated allowances. Practice the frugality that he likes to sing about. Toughening monetary policy has to be gradual and in phases. Otherwise he will be strangulating the economy as we can see now. |
Emekamex:Why fashion a policy that will collapse manufacturing sector in the first place, only to then start scrambling to save them again? How's that progressive politics? Is it not the ultimate height of cluelessness? |
Ideal to finish all the works that need digging a tunnelling. Even at this stage, most can be done at same time, if they won't hinder each other. The quality of materials you have chosen matter regarding quote. But ensure you or a trusted person is present when buying materials. Better still, someone trusted and knows original products. Twyford is not always Twyford. You can always bargain workmanship. |
missyadorable:Even that is not entirely correct. Does cardiothoracic/cardiovascular or orthopaedic surgery not demand reasonable physical fitness? I see women doing them with aplomb. Maths is not also the real deal. I remember one girl sometimes dusting me in maths in primary school. I think it's about image. STEM are relatively masculine & unsexy. ![]() Let's get more people like Omosexy into STEM and see more babes flooding in. |
TheGoodJoe:You proven nothing. Same old and tired ethnocentric-inspired gabbage. GEJ left the country better than it is now. Nothing GEJ would have done to satisfy certain sections of 9 ja. The country is too tribalistic for that. He's not there now. APC made promises. They did not say under certain oil price range. No excuses. |
TheGoodJoe:Fuel price was already going down. The infrastructural & other investments done by GEJ pushed our economy to largest in Africa. It cost money. We are still waiting for this government to prove the alleged $50 billion missing money and others. The way they were foaming in the mouth when they first came to power, one thought they had solid evidence and will easily send all of PDP to jail in 3 months. Now, the govt has to resort to disobeying court orders. |
TheGoodJoe:True@crude oil. Similar happened during Yar'adua's time but life went on. It was no excuse. It happened in the 1980s too, so it's not new. I did not expect you to comprehend it. It's a public forum and there are many ready for debate and ready to learn. |
TheGoodJoe:Well I know at least we did not have this kind of fuel crisis or this amount of darkness. GEJ also brought train/railway back. Now Buhari cannot even get NASS dominated by APC to approve money to continue developing railway. He built 16 new federal universities, about 300 Almajiri schools to combat ignorance that gives Boko and other extremist groups a large pool of youth to recruit from. Something Northern leaders could not do in 40 years in power. Fertilisers and others were provided that boosted agric. Airports were built/renovated. People talk of Oduah corruption. Having used 9ja airports for around 25 years, they were never as good as during Oduah's time. The other aviation ministers before her that were saints, what they do?? Nothing. Nigeria was even borrowing money to fund oil subsidy. Reducing subsidy meant reduced national borrowing. Not that the money to fund it was there. Subsidy scam has existed long before GEJ. It simply got worse with time as powerful people got sneakier. The only way was to end it. Why would GEJ annoy his "marketing friends" by ending subsidy if indeed they were his friends? Is there any sense in that? You don't have to continue lies against GEJ, elections are over and the saints who said subsidy does not exist have already paid 50 billion Naira, yet no fuel. You can only blame the past for so long. We dey siddon look. |
authority2006:He introduced scam and he also wanted to end it? Common sense is not common o. |
amaechi1:The 5% should not benefit, right? APC senators & reps doing Buhari's job even more zealously than Buhari. |
@OP, I heard govt intends to demolish swathes of illegal structures in Ayobo area (not sure where in Ayobo exactly). That has kind of put one off the area. Check very carefully before you pay. |
area.fada@yahoo.com Please includes details for those who needed total supervision. That is for those who are not on ground and cannot manage or supervise it personally. To include cost of everything from beginning to sale of produce. For both watermelon & pepper. Thanks. |
ofwest:Love of money = root of all evil. Money itself can be used to do a lot of good. Greed for it is dangerous. |
gqboyy:That man is the late woman's uncle and her family spokesman. Better that her husband's face is not even shown, he belongs in a dungeon where his face will never be seen. |
akajos4real:OK. Did you support GEJ's removal of oil subsidy? When were arguing here that subsidy removal was painful short term BUT necessary long term, we were called Tanoids. GEJ saw that running after prosecuting & subsidy scammers would be seen as Ijaw militant president punishing SW & the North (most subsidy scammers come from these zones), he decided to just end it. Because it's unsustainable. Then people went into the streets, supported by APC. Now eyes don clear. ![]() |
bloodyBLOGGER:At the rate Bubu is going, there might be no airport, let alone a scanty one. ![]() Is it GEJ's budget still used to maintain the airport right now? Is GEJ's minister in charge of airports now? Oh I forgot, this govt cannot even write a budget, let alone implement one. ![]() I know you're just taking your daily dose of "HaveyoublamedGEJtoday?". ![]() |
walegee:BRF has only had 4 months in office. He can still deliver the goods. I don't support APC but I expected APC to field BRF as presidential candidate. He was their best candidate. Since he wasn't, I expected him to be a super minister (almost a Prime Minister) with power & works ministries at least. That's the only decision of Buhari I agree 110% with. Why was he not appointed immediately, around June 2015? Why dilly-dally for 6 months and allow things to get worse? Is BRF getting the freedom to operate maximally under BUhari? Are there people around Buhari desperate to shackle & rubbish BRF in order to dim his stellar political future? My grouse with BRF is to viciously criticise GEJ's performance in electricity, which by comparison was far better than now? Why hold GEJ responsible then BUT thinks Buhari has no blame now? That's pure hypocrisy and I hate it no matter who indulges in it. |
demoore1:10k a month as darkness bill. Imagine the conconbility. ![]() Some private school teachers get 7.5k per month. Some hotel staff get 8k per month. Buhari wants to rubbish Fashola's hard earned reputation. Fash is even exonerating GMB. A man who allowed ministries to run rudderless, with minister for 6 months. No sense of urgency. Kaduna Mafia would love this. This acceptance of failure just pushes him further away from potential presidency. |
walegee:My place/house. Around August 2014, we had between 16 and 18 hours daily. With a rechargeable fan, there was never heat in the few hours of no light. Freezer was intact too. Friends from across town had minimum 14 hours. The occasional 12 hours in outside town/suburb home of a friend was seen as really bad. Or you dispute there were no places with up to 18 hours light in GEJ's time? |
Genius100:In Jonathan's time, with 14, 16 to 18 hours of light in many places, he was blamed for any light issues. Fashola said electricity provision was no rocket science. Are you saying GEJ was minister of power and sole employee of the ministry and of NEPA/PHCN that it was his fault?? The hypocrisy of zombies is astonishing. Who gives a rat's ass about who he was addressing? Were the same employees not there providing better electricity back in GEJ's time, yet same Fashola & mere commissioner Osunbade spread lies everywhere. |
Ezeanochie:That is why it is not good to condemn others too much. Because it might just be you in that position tomorrow. ![]() Now some zombies are telling us that GMB's visit to the Nuclear Summit last time will solve our light problem. Wetin we nor go hear. |
I hope the frustration and lack of decent mental health care will not create a pool of mass murderers and copy cats. Like play, like play Book Haram started. A LASUTH psychiatrist warned about current frustration and mental health problems yesterday. |
