AntiWailer:Cheap easy to maintain hydro electric power plants that solved power problems for other countries of our calibre, did it solve it for us? Yes/No |
AntiWailer:Really, you know how much nuclear power costs to built and maintain? UK govt is struggling to fund new Nuclear plants. EDF of France still trying to raise £20billion to fund it for UK. £20 billion is more than 9ja annual budget. You are so ignorant and believe that a govt that cannot sort out refineries and simple old technology of hydroelectric turbines can manage high tech and extremely potentially dangerous nuclear reactors. Obviously you never passed physics at school. Like your tin-god Buhari. ![]() If you even had 1% working brain matter, you will know that restoring power, fuel and security have priority. What has Nigeria to contribute to that conference? You think oyinbo take Africans coming with bowl in hand to beg seriously? Keep dreaming. |
anetuno:Abeg take your favourite drink on me. Common sense is not common you know. Please dash some people sense. ![]() |
AntiWailer:Difference is in none of those countries do citizens wallow in darkness like nocturnal animals or take generators to queue at petrol stations. They left employed and largely prosperous citizens at home. Just because Folorunso Alakija can lodge at Sheraton doesn't mean Iya Sulemon selling oranges must do so. Copy copy is not helping us |
Kenzico:Why he nor go praise am? The West like to see frequentflyer high networth tourists. They bring hard currency. I will believe Obama when we have light, jobs, fuel and 70% of APC promises. And then see Obama sipping Kunu with Bubu in Daura or Aso Villa. ![]() |
GANJAFARMER:This is most likely a spread of cells from the original site (tissue/organ) of cancer. Breast cancer spreads easily to other parts like liver, bone etc. Prostate cancer and others too. This is called metastasis. The importance of catching cancer at early stage is to prevent it spreading by treating it locally (operation/Radiotherapy). Then the chances of survival/cure are much better. However, some recent studies show that some cancers spread already at an early stage. Which means, cancer thought to have been caught early & cured locally can suddenly come up in a different organ like 5 or more years later. In the distant past, this could have been mistaken for a new/different cancer in another organ entirely. |
RIP miss. |
LesbianBoy:Ecclesiastes 9:11- I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is not to the swift, nor the battle to the strong, neither yet bread to the wise, nor yet riches to men of understanding, nor yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all. |
Anabel:My dear, they probably complain loudest sef. Lots of people abusing their position. Our problem is very big in this country. From leadership to followership. By the way Anabel, are you related to Sade Adu? Don't say it loud, whisper it in my ear. ![]() |
Anabel:My dear, they probably complain loudest sef. Lots of people abusing their position. Our problem is very big in this country. From leadership to followership. |
Livingrace:Really? People rob with gun, do ritual killing, and all sorts, why would a negotiator getting a cut be surprising? They are all in it together. The way humans seek money these days, the only shock I'd see is if he did all those negotiations for nothing. He doesn't look like Mother Theresa to me. ![]() |
The situation in the land is enough to make some people run mad. |
The level of disasters daily requires a state of emergency nationwide. Donald Trump's re-colonisation idea sounded ridiculous at first. Not so now. ![]() |
That kind of joke should not be tried in 9ja. Or somebody might die. Which one I cannot say. ![]() |
RIP dude. So painful. After typing RIP, we will all relax. Only to type it (God forbid) next time. No action, nothing. |
Although from experience, some tenants can be a serious pain in the nyansh, beating up is not the way forward. In saner climes, you will do some jail time and pay compensation. |
They will soon call her Tanoid. A popular & decent celebrity talking there. |
Things are happening o. Are boreholes that expensive to sink in Ibadan? At least most people can buy/afford buckets of borehole water. Assuming there's fuel to run gen to pump borehole water o. |
5minsmadness:Very correct 5mins. Health ignorance is alarming. Many are not more enlightened than our grandmothers in the village despite google & having an array of degrees. Regarding suspicion, how often do people doubt their darling beautiful young bride? ![]() It is exactly that trust they capitalise on to deceive. Your first instinct is to believe that both of you are working towards same goal. |
5minsmadness:The man is confused, desperate and more. He feels betrayed, perhaps time wasted. As far as he's concerned now, until a woman is pregnant, he cannot trust her womb. If in 9ja, life expectancy of sicklers is still low. Those reaching 35 are considered lucky. Even in the West with better health care, dealing with the agony of sickle cell complications in kids is still tough. If you check my old posts, I have mentioned a not too dissimilar experience with a lady. Though not married, still wasted some years dating her. Though not full-blown hysterectomy but womb was damaged enough via teenage abortion to make conception highly unlikely. Even when the truth came to light, with obvious medical evidence, they (the girl, her mum & sisters) kept denying. Well, it was time to bail out. It is the height of deception. When kids don't come in a marriage, it's hard enough. When you then find out that the woman & her family knew the reason all along, it's must be devastating. |

Ok, cool |
The problem with Africa fora is that matters always take a religious dimension. Easy to see why we have poor hospitals, poor schools, poor roads, no light, no fuel BUT sparkling mega churches & mega mosques. 10 churches per street, yet no pharmacy or dentist on that street. After worshiping in these places and forming holy holy, people return to workplace on Monday and continue bribery, looting, corruption, yahoo-yahoo, prostitution, even kidnapping & armed robbery. What has this got to do with matter at hand? Simple. Over religiosity prevents us from finding practical & scientific solutions to issues, let us abdicate our duties & ultimately shifting all to GOD to handle. Did China, Japan, Germany and others succeed with this our approach? |
akin33:Ol boy, you try. Many of our women are very prude. Do a doggy, na lie. No thought about the position the hubby enjoys. Laziness is a big factor too. Positions require some fitness & stamina. Most girls have none these days. One reason you see a guy dating or married to a pretty girl, yet sleeps with a not so fine girl. Women like to blame poor bedmatics on guys, while sleeping on their back like a log. ![]() It really takes the grace of God not to cheat if sex is poor. |
McCarlito:Haba! The accusation is too much na. Both have marital duties. Something they should/would have learnt preparing for marriage. If any party cannot fulfil that role, he/she should naturally seek help. First there are things to know: was there sex before marriage? Was the marriage arranged? Was she ever keen on sex? Has it got worse since having a baby? Does she do a physically exhausting job? Has she any history of having suffered molestation? Does she suffer from pain during sex? Is she depressed? Is she even falling out of love? These can help you see the way forward, if you might need professional medical/psychological help. Marriage is not always rosy. Challenges: sexual, financial and all can come up at any time. |
Angelberry:Lol. Women handle issues even far worse. Reason most women fall for silly men who have sweet tongue and say what women want to hear. Keeping things from your spouse and only blurting it out in a heated moment is hardly a way to gain trust or strengthen a marriage. Had she told tim during a romantic dinner what she was advised but she didn't take it, would he have reacted that way? She said the hubby claim they quarrel a lot. OP did not dispute it or elaborate. I cannot blame her for causing their quarrels as I don't know. But whatever the reasons, the man feels there is no peace in the house. Men are very allergic to nagging, lack of peace and so on. I guess everyone is BUT it seems the OP is the one who still wants the marriage. Meaning she can still tolerate the marriage far more than the man is willing to. As for the mistress, I guess the man has already decided for a future without OP, perhaps before even getting a mistress. Above all, the ttc issue places a lot of burden on couples, especially if one feels the difficulty is with the other person. |
cr7lomo:Presidency by absenteeism & photography is the APC way. Some are already secretly biting their finger and cringing seeing all this junketing. After bashing GEJ so much with presidential jet fleet yarn. Oga Bubu is flexing the fleet now. ![]() |
tommykiwi:Is it not the same beans Ireland returned just weeks ago due to weevil overload or is Ireland not part of EU again? ![]() Na wa o. With so much bad news, APC people are clutching at every slight news to save face. ![]() |
Chukzyfcb:Well, we need improved technics to produce more quantity cheaper. Here we need a comprehensive govt policy towards it. If you can reduce cost by 70% through better yield and reduced wastage, supply will eventually increase and foreign competition will eventually reduce price generally. But in 9ja we have no consistency of policies. Policy summersaults to favour a few privileged people with monopoly is a big problem. Like import licences granted discreetly while publicly saying there is a ban. At the end, medium scale producers in large numbers can do the trick if encouraged with cheap loans and some subsidy in the event of crop failure. Young energetic people who proudly take up agric as a career is the way forward. Imagine 1 million young Nigerians growing 50 to 100 acres yearly. Soon Nigerian rice will become famous across Africa and beyond like Nollywood. ![]() |
Chukzyfcb:Actually not greed regarding rice. As a kid visiting grandma in the village, everybody had at least a few acres of rice field. Almost everyone stored rice and eat till next rice season. Feeding off weaver birds was almost full time job when the rice is just milky around June\July. Stubborn birds just fashy scarecrows. Then grasscutter will just cut down large pockets of field overnight, avoiding traps. Heavy wind also decimate some. You easily loose up to 70% of the rice. But the oversea growers do it intensively, with tractors, high yield species, modern silos, extremely low wastage and some with govt agric subsidy. If you have only about 35% of your rice surviving from only 10 acres in Abakiliki or Ofada, the price will have to go up. At the end, mass produced foreign rice will be a lot cheaper. That is how American rice drove Ghanaians from local rice production. Just like 9ja and many other countries. |
