ifyalways:My dear, I hope those picking a stone to cast are without sin. ![]() |
Na wa o. Nothing person nor go see. |
kclee:Abi o. Frittering away scarce resources. Madness. |
badonkadonk:This and more trends to come. This situation don pass be careful. |
cremedelacreme:That's the "chanji" we're talking about dude. GMB has introduced "Gen-Queue" to Nigerian public life. A very major achievement dude. ![]() |
badonkadonk:They are busy swallowing their daily dose of BlameGEJtamol & BlameGEJcilin. Sadly, no cure for Zombie-ism. ![]() |
"The choice is there for Nigerians to decide whether to move forward or go back to the era of underdevelopment" - Former President Goodluck Jonathan |
mideactive:True@9months. But he has undone many years of economic growth with his bad diplomacy. Calling your country corrupt all the place abroad. Draconian policies. With low oil price, sound policies are needed. Should be way sounder than PDP/GEJ's that they lambasted so much in opposition. But like IBB said, GMB doesn't listen. Attempts go gently nudge him for correction only make him even harder. After 9 months, Lai Mohammed has come clean that Buhari has already lost control of the economy. Is that news that would give hope to the suffering masses hope? ![]() |
lilprinze:Abi o. Shebi families around 9ja are eating a piece of probe on their plate three times a day. The surprise is why the probe cannot be done quietly while focusing on job creation, healthcare, education, agriculture, electricity/infrastructure and fixing the ailing economy. |
Deblow:I think 100k was/is the maximum fine allowed. The money goes to the State, not the family (correct me if I'm wrong). Yes, as for maximum of 7 years, the judge has discretion of I think 5 to 7 years. The police may have done a subpar job initially, especially with a celeb involved. Proper alcohol breath, blood test & narcotics test could have shown for sure if under the influence. But it seemed pretty sure to Sasore/LASG that she was very reckless and had a serious case to answer. LASG was outraged by the magistrate's decision then. That position seemed to have been confirmed by both the High Court & Appeal Court. I doubt if Supreme Court would deem the magistrate court to have interpreted the law better than the higher courts. This shows that lots of Nigerians don't get justice. If it was an impoverished family, they might have given up or be pacified with as little as N500k. LASG might never even have noticed the case as such. The case needs to be reviewed by LASG to see how the initial lower court decision was arrived at. It is in public interest to avoid miscarriage of justice. |
Ginaz:Or you mean living with more parties like the AMVCA party last week more like it. Has anyone organised fund-raising dinner or something for Dr Giwa Suraj's family? That would be one way to work towards making "by gone be by gone". Not leaving the family much poorer off in every way. |
Kikikikikiki ![]() When has Buhari ever been in charge? With sudden and draconian about turn rules in 1983 and now? ![]() |
When has Nigeria ever selected a brilliant performing person as presidential candidate? Are we not always shooting ourselves in the foot.? ![]() |
Cool |
Would be nice |
If you already have land, it can get you the carcasses of a 4-bedroom duplex. If you have an experienced builder. Average parlour & room sizes. In a small town with cheap labour. Not in Abj, Lagos, PH, Benin, Enugu, etc. You may have to pay him commission extra. Another 2-3 million might finish the rest to a decent (not superlative) taste. Why 6 bedroom if your budget is 6.5m? |
Kill, kill, kill. Life has no value in 9ja. |
A village head is not a monarch. He doesn't even have any chieftaincy title of any kind. He's not gazetted or recognised by the state as such. Just head of town. Like the head of a street in a city. |
GodMode:Ironsi was in a difficult situation. No precedence then. He did it to reassure the North of Nigerian unity. But he clearly underestimated (or overestimated their leniency) the Northerners, believing that they would surely see that he didn't kill Northern leaders, and he was doing his best to restore sanity & unity. Had he made a clear promise to soon hand over to Bukar Dipcharima or another senior Northern leader then, continuing Balewa's mandate, he might have survived. |
stephnie1:Nor be only iron out, na copper it out. ![]() When marital discord has taken hold, to "metal" it out is not easy. Which person does not know that denial of intimacy in marriage is wrong? And for 18 months? The lady already wanted out longest time and I doubt she was totally chaste all that period. The man should free the lady. Since he has another lady, he should move on. |
olakan22:I don't believe Buhari lied. It takes some cleverness and sophistication to lie. ACN lied mercilessly for him. Led by Lai Mo. He has no plans, aside fighting corruption using 20th century methods, hence he said nothing concrete. ![]() Buhari spoke for less than an hour during his whole campaign. In saner climes these days, who will vote for a man who barely said anything about his plan for the country? Buhari's junketing now should have been obvious then, because he said more in Chatham House in London than in Nigeria. Even though diaspora Nigerians have no vote. |
ChoCandyDiamond:Lady, don't waste your time. People are not interested in the truth. Most are blinded by tribalism & bigotry. GEJ only got to the presidency by chance, he wasn't meant to be by the self-acclaimed owners of Nigeria. Once he got there, they did all they could to frustrate him. Still, he brought back railway (with concrete plans for national railway network), 16 new Fed universities, hundreds of Almajiri schools, agricultural boom, FOI came, respect for legal pronouncements, we became Africa's biggest economy for the first time, Lagos-Benin & several other fed roads better since early 1990s, Several airports got a facelift, etc, etc. God knows his people. Voting for him only happened because SW & North hadn't had enough time to connive. Fact is everyone is suffering from current poor governance, irrespective of tribe or region. A country that recycles an outdated 20th century ideologue as leader cannot mean to go forward yet. |
joseph1832:Please don't be so unfair to GEJ. The case happened long before GEJ. Her lawyer has cleverly delayed things going from High Court to Appeal Court. She lost high court case and GEJ could have influenced it in her favour. But did not. Everybody has the right to exhaust all legal avenues if you can afford it. Aside Yar'Adua, no other 9ja leader has respected legal pronouncements like GEJ since end of Shagari's regime. |

Dharniel:She was said to have been drunk and driving erratically. Supo Sasore was very appalled by the case then that LASG was committed to getting Dr Suraj justice. Any other average person would have probably completed the sentence by now. Some celeb misbehave anyhow. She is more focused now and that might lead to early release but justice cannot be denied. I think Supreme Court will agree with both High Court and Appeal court ruling to send to jail. I cannot imagine the Supreme Court taking the view that the lower court (magistrate court) interpreted the law better in this case. |
Fabulocity:What percentage of interracial marriages involves black women compared to black men? Still fairly low. In research, it is considered unreliable if low numbers are involved. Another reason is that white guys typically pick the best female specimens of black ladies. Such black ladies probably would have made decent wives to black men too. But still, most still go after a black guy secretly, be it for sex or whatever. Oyinbo won't touch the riff raff with a barge pole. Poor black men have to endure those. ![]() I'm talking from experience. |
erico2k2:Abi o. She even talked of cheating. Several Durex research have shown that modern 9ja women are the most unfaithful in the world. I first doubted but began to observe. An average 9ja girl has more bfs now than an average 9ja boy has gfs. Reason is simple: materialism. IPhones, tablets, expensive Peruvian hair, Gucci bags, etc. He who comes to equity must come with clean hands. |
Stupedinluv:Funny thing is that 75% of 9ja girls married to oyinbo that I know still have a 9ja bf. Some years back, a 9ja boy died on top one 9ja girl married to oyinbo. Here in Europe. Although marriage to the Oyinbo began in Africa. I'm sure someone reading this story will know this case. The worst case of domestic violence I have personally witnessed was an oyinbo husband battering our own 9ja sister. He only stopped when we 9ja guys went to warn him seriously. We all see things daily. Judging all from your narrow angle is rather myopic. OP, we have heard all these before. Don't forget that 9ja boys are among the people who marry oyinbo & other Africans the most. 9ja guys have been looking elsewhere since long time. They will hardly miss you. ![]() Good luck with the foreign bf/hubby. |
thagift:I think it's the issue of young age and not being prepared to be King from birth. It all came suddenly. He has to learn on the job. This supremacy talk should have been quelled right from the beginning by a more experienced Ooni. The politics and diplomacy of kingship are very important skills. |
akoladejesu:Right from time. For Pics of crime scenes, exhibits, police raids, parades & other functions. The armed forces too. |
EbukaLive:If I hear. You obviously don't know Osho Baba. ![]() Ask anyone close enough to him. He didn't marry until Iara, true. But............ ![]() |
