mightyhazel:Abeg, lad means young man. One can say "laddette or ladette" these days to mean a young lady who behaves unladylike, like drinking, smoking and being loud/noisy. Rather unrefined in the public. Reason for this clarification is that many Secondary school students & Jambites are here picking up terms/words. ![]() |
Sunnycliff:I wonder o. In this world that everyone is struggling to make a living. How many people get time to busy themselves with being on your matter as an enemy? Who send anybody? The common enemy is poverty, hard life, insecurity, joblessness, crime & in some places, lack of electricity & fuel. ![]() |
timilehing:Wrong. This is the spirituality thing we're talking about. As a kid, I know area people whose kids had paralysis from polio. Because many did not vaccinate kids against it. Now, with widespread vaccination, polio is now very rare. Common precautions based on medical research save millions of lives yearly. The correct sleeping position for babies is one of them. |
Nothing person nor go hear o |
francescainnoce:Amen! But my dear, selflessness is very important in payers too. I teach the kiddies to remember orphans, war victims, the helpless, those who are ill, those who have no ability to pray like severely disabled mentally/severely neurologically impaired) kids, etc. Even to ask God to bless and change those who don't mean well for us. From Jesus' teaching standpoint, very important. |
Oxenomy:Minor one, not by size. There are many boar constrictor/python-like snake. They don't grow quite so long/big. I hv seen this snake handled live. Was brought home n later killed. No danger whatsoever. Puff adder has a better camouflage, matching soil/dry leaves much more closely. See: https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=puff+adder&biw=1600&bih=777&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiUh7De0d7LAhVBlhQKHWyuCWAQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=7hOPVmcMRNZDnM%3A |
Oxenomy:Puff adder ko, kpoff kpoff substractor ni. ![]() Adder has different patterns o. They are darker with tinier stripes. No subtype of adder is quite like this. This is a constrictor/minor python family snake. The pattern here is almost like our grandmothers' clothe pattern back in the day. ![]() Quite commonly found during this early raining season n bush clearing period like this. Adder is a killer. |
Bringing another man or woman into your marital home is wahala. The visitor should have cautioned the he-goat and stay away from her friend's marital home. Because reporting to the wife would only ruin her home, not something anybody eagerly takes (dis)credit for. No matter how irresponsible the man is. Stop taking the man's calls. Warn him that you will tell his wife if he keeps pestering you. |
Activa:Which serious govt that has a 4-year mandate waits for nearly 1/4 of the tenure without implementing a single budget? I prefer a govt that does something tangible with or without some corruption than one that does nothing. Or waits till our money becomes like Zimbabwe dollar. ![]() We had many aviation ministers since 1999, what exactly did they do? I have regularly used Nigerian airports for close to 25 years. Oduah's time has been the best since. If she's found to be corrupt/guilty by a court of law, let her cough out her loot and serve the appropriate time in jail. If not, people should park well and stop the nonsense. |
Name your asking price sir. |
oribi:Abi o. These are just basic knowledge everybody should have. The Chinese (whether they end up as actors, gymnasts, IT gurus or astronauts) all did all these basic subjects even more rigorously than we do in 9ja. Biology is rather voluminous but you will appreciate it as a zoologist, dentist, pharmacist, medic, vet, geneticist, anatomist, etc. It's the biological basis for these disciplines. |
henrybomb:Actually meatier/firmer than fish. But white meat like fish. Closer to alligator meat. Best if dried before using to cook. This one here is widely eaten. Totally harmless to humans at this size. |
kulobyno:Penny wise, Pound foolish. You wonder what the police and FRSC actually do aside harassing people. |
omolola15:Which serious country would have coup plotters, those accused of drugs offence abroad previously, governors with questionable records in office and other criminals as its leader? Let's start from there. |
Lots of guys go through worse to spend their last penny on a babe. Do you know if he has even had proper food for days b4 this date. ![]() And the babe will still be like "my guy is too stingy". ![]() |
mikaael:Victor Moses, from Delta? Hehehehe. ![]() People sha. ![]() |
PentiumPro:Word. But which part of our constitution allows ceding of national territory to a foreign country like OBJ did Bakassi peninsula? Does ICJ ruling becomes automatically binding over and above our constitution, without parliamentary/NASS approval? |
Yawa don gas so soon? I thought zombies have subsidy on food, transport, etc and are protected from the economic woes of Buhari's regime. Some robotic zombies still haven't smelled the coffee yet. ![]() |
sample042:Neither do we here in Galilee. ![]() |
tinktanker:Abi o. Does Wike appoint a police commissioner? It is Buhari's Federal police. Insecurity is squarely at FG's neck. Is that not how GEJ was blamed for everything? Why complain now. |
MrALIVE:Fulani herdsmen killing hundreds, is it not insecurity? Does it matter who one is killed or kidnapped by? Boko, Fulani or regular criminal elements? |
dagr8:Very flawed reason. In most of Western Europe, you are interviewed by a medical panel before gaining admission. The interview usually has little to do with academic ability. You will have already shown that via top grades/relevant screening exams from your record to be called for interview. The interview seeks to know your motivation, your proof of commitment to medicine through volunteer work in hospitals, nursing homes AND to see that you're a well-rounded & psychologically sound person. A kind of humanitarianism too. Because by the age of 22 or so, you will be facing life & death situations as a house officer. Around 3am in the morning sometimes. Well-rounded as in having people skills, possibly well-travelled, balanced view of life, respect for people of various creeds and races, and your hobbies. The difference between one admitted And one not admitted could be that the admitted one learnt a foreign language to a good level. A thing a doctor might need having to deal with many people. Or one who spent summer holiday in a foreign hospital and the other didn't. One who has read many volumes of say French/German novels (and you're British for example). Indicates interest in people & other cultures. Then leadership skills help too. Maybe as captain of your school Karate, football, netball or whatever team. Or in fact just having extracurricular activities that enable you to mix with people. Being just a book worm isn't enough. The system can be set up to select those genuinely interested in Medicine & prevent money changing hands. |
dagr8:.. I disagree sir. Cuba achieved the high level of health care provision by training many doctors on the cheap. With students learning family medicine/General practice from day one. They can man general practice almost immediately after graduation. We need General practice. With lots of trained doctors having offices in every few streets. Paid for by government, Federal or State Health Service/Board. Government/schools need to drastically improve training facilities, not lengthen the course. |
Oil or no oil, foodstuff or no foodstuff, fact is Nigeria is decades behind where it should be. With what Bruce just enumerated, why is the North so opposed to regionalism? This centralised/unitary system is not working. 50 years after Ironsi, the system has failed. That should change. If the North keep opposing true federalism, then we're just postponing the evil day. It won't matter who has oil in his backyard or who produces ground nut. |
Abiagirl777:Na only heart you see, e go turn the member to Lagos-Ibadan expressway . |
PeteVlogger:Marriage, voters, ghost workers at age of 8 are quite normal up North. They even voted GMB to become president. No news here. |
tushbobo:Problem is it's very expensive producing raw material locally. Import is partly fuelled by that. You can get rice more easily from abroad than producing locally. That's how Ghanaian rice producers were driven out of business by American rice flooding the market. Getting everything locally can be unreliable and not really cheaper. There must be a plan in place to encourage local raw material production/use. Not one arising a draconian regulation. When GEJ touted cassava bread, people were laughing. Whereas cassava is something we really have a lot of. Relatively cheap to produce. |
I think the only girl not wearing native there is Titilayo. She has a videos online, visiting Lagos market & speaking Yoruba. ![]() |
elopee3000:That's not actually true. We could benefit even more. Sure some monarchs don't quite know how to help their people and many suck up to politicians too much. So they can't tell politicians the truth about poor performance in office. The constitutional roles of kings are quite clear: custodian of culture & tradition, etc. Decades from now, when petroleum has become almost irrelevant or even exhausted, our culture will be a major source of income via tourism. So, preserving them through ourselves & monarchs is basically bequeathing a gold mine to our descendants. ![]() |
No difference. Situation of the economy, joblessness, oil price, no electricity, no fuel, low value naira etc are beyond control. Same same. Considering that GMB promised to stabilise price of crude in world market. ![]() |
