Thanks.

I really needed his help since months ago as I'm now towards the last stage of completing one a few km from this property. He just disappeared from his thread.

But he still did give a lot of very useful info building the house.

My work is going on smoothly now.

Hi eghosa,

I followed the building of this house at Amagba. The owner gave the update on NL then.

Can you show us the finished product?

pri3stess: Wetin una dey do for Ghana self? They are just showing us pepper for what we did to them back in the 80s.
.

I don't know how old you are but note this.

1n 1971 just a year after end of Biafra, Nigerians were sent away from Nigeria. Lots of them lost the properties and life's work there due to very short notice.

But by 1973 Naija was booming due to Middle East crisis as oil prices soared.
Ghanaians began flooding to Nigeria. Many commited crimes as househelp and drivers.
So Ghanaians did it first to us.

Though two wrongs don't make anything good.

Magic Bishop: Let me begin here by letting you know that I have been active here on NL since 2011 or there about and have several banned monikers that aside, you can go through all my current posts and topics under this current handle and you will then know that I represent no one other than myself.

But what I have come to realize is that NL is a Cesspool for APC filth to which I was apolitical towards until I saw the open bias here being promoted with the full support from the "owner" and janitors here. Needless to say it disgusted me and in some ways I have come to sympathize with Jonathan through the works of his distractors here. Talk of back firing.

The said Orlando Owoh is a pathetic example of that crude specimen of an APC etout who I have vowed to troll out of existence.

Now go figure!
.

My brother God bless you. Until about a year ago, I was an ardent critic of GEJ. I thought a man that is more or less of my generation should be more aggressive with developing the country.

But then here on NL I quickly realised the challenges from born-to-rule regions of Nigeria. Anything GEJ does is condemned from sectarian and tribal/regional angles. He can never do anything right in their eyes.

GEJ as a minority tribe guy is being frustrated at every turn by the same people who ran the country aground for over 50 years. What moral ground do they even have?

Nigeria is a bitterly divided house. I became a GEJ sympathiser here on NL. My respect for Dim Ojukwu and his foresight is a thousand times more now. The country needs to divide. Boko Haram and the self-appointed sophisticated people/progressives should go their own ways.
Enough is enough.

I'm not from the SE.

Ah ah.
@ Poster, which kind question you dey ask sef?

It's over 20 years since I first saw girls of your sister's age selling their bodies (being forced by pimps) in Italian streets.

I have visited that country every few years since. The only difference now is that they're even younger.

Same in France and Spain.

Can you imagine your little lovely baby sis sleeping daily with up to 20 sex starved old Italians, Eastern Europeans, refugees from war torn countries with various mannliness sizes and body odours? Even many wanting without condom? And the odd serial killer among them?

Hair braider in a salon my big foot. No jobs in Italy right now, even with citizenship, let alone for someone without papers.

That pim.p of a woman deserves some years in a rough Naija jail.

@Kulye and co.

The disgusting act of domestic abuse is not unique to Naija men. Infact lots of men quietly suffer domestic abuse but too ashamed to admit.

The only serious case I personally know of here in Western country I live in is infact a white guy that pumels the sh!t out of his Naija wife.
She couldn't tell us for years. We coerced them into seeking counselling. They seem ok now though (if she's not hiding it again).

Infact wife-battery is more prevalent during pregnancy, anybody in health care profession knows that.

Another wife?

Nice move! But make sure the new wife is a very rich widow preferably at the point death/old age.

That way you can use the widow's money to fund your self and current in-laws.

Otherwise I cannot see how looking after two wives with in-laws in toe will be easier than one wife.

.

True word.

But up and down the country many kids live with uncles, aunties, cousins, grandparents etc. Wealthier relatives have always looked after lots of kid from poorer homes and it helped many prominent people you know today to get educated.

The police should investigate. Injury from flogging and one from jumping a fence would look different, doctors can help here.

Does anyone still remember the "perception is everything" letter sent to OBJ by Audu Ogbe during OBJ's regime?

Do you all remember how mercilessly OBJ rendered Ogbe irrelevant in PDP after the letter?

OBJ is doing what he did not tolerate during his time in office.

The very definition of a collosal hypocrite.

Afam4eva: I sincerely think this is a waste and as someone said, it's just the usual Asaba Vs Warri competition for projects. If a project is done in Asaba, another one, most probably bigger must be done in Warri.
.

Yup but it's more than that.

If Anioma State becomes a reality, Urhobo/Isoko/Itsekiri don't want to suddenly look silly having previously sent all big projects to Asaba.

It is Osubi Airport that should have been upgraded instead to a new airport at Asaba.

Asaba should have been a long term plan like 2020 as the town gets bigger. But as we all know, the ruling class only care about their own convenience.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghanaian - Nkrumah Is Greater Than Mandela by AreaFada2:
PeeDaVinci: I have had this argument with several people in the past couple of days. I told a colleague that Mandela is undoubtedly great, but he is not the greatest African or as great as the press is playing it out, and when he asked me who is then the greatest african, my exact response was that "i dont know but i will rate the likes of Nkrumah above Mandela".
IMO, mandela has not really done anything extra-ordinarily great. Someone said, he was imprisoned for 27 years, and I asked what about the pple who laid down their lives for the same cause. And another said, he led SA out of Apatheid, and I was like, that is exactly ahmadu bello, awolowo, shagari, enahoro . . . did. Another said also, he forgave the pple who imprisoned him, and i said, that is exactly the reason why they released him - to reconcile the blacks and whites, the whites were tired of the lack of peace during the apartheid, and they chose Mandela to bridge the divide in SA. An another said, he chose to be the President for just one term, and I replied, that is a rare virtue among african leaders, but that doesnt make him extra-ordinary and there are countries whose leaders resigned voluntarily before the end of a single term presidency.

Dont get me wrong, Mandela is great not because of who he is or what he has done, but what he represents - "freedom", and Africans gave him that "representation" during his incarceration because they wanted to see the end of the apartheid regime. He is just like the Queen who is a great woman not because of who she really is as a person, but what she represents.

I ask over and over, what has Mandela actually done for Africa, the western press eulogizes mandela because of influence of south african press in the western world. and these western media are the same ones who vilified him during apartheid, and now, suprisingly, on bbc journalist even likened him to Jesus.

to sum up, Mandela is a very very great man, but not as great as the press made it to be.
Gbam my brother. When the West eulogises someone so effusively, I become very skeptical.

Because you must somehow have seriously served their interest for that to happen.

While Madiba was in Prison, OBJ changed BP to AP and everyone chipped in to help ANC.
If the fight against Apartheid had not been sustained outside by many people, he would have died a broken man in jail.

Remember that the only reason why he was not hanged (as the trial judge made clear) was to prevent him becoming a martyr.

Judek2: Shut up.. Nnamdi Azikiwe was the.greatest African ever liveth.
.

Zik could easily have been had he and Owolowo had that extra foresight to leave the North behind and gain independence for the South around 1955 or 1956, ahead of Ghana. It was feasible as the North dithered.

At the end having acted as knights in shiny armour to "rescue" the North from the colonials as they believed, none of them was ever allowed to attain executive leadership of Nigeria.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghanaian - Nkrumah Is Greater Than Mandela by AreaFada2: 11:51am On Dec 13, 2013
MajeMedia: Mandela's victory was the last page in a book of self determination started by Nkrumah.
Nkrumah's mismanagement of Ghana stains his legacy where as Mandela's is spotless.
.

What was called mismanagement by Osagyefo was part of the money he used to support Freedom fight in many countries.

Of course Ghanaians (like other people) didn't quite like their money being used to help others.

Sure Mandela had to deal with extra-ordinary circumstances BUT he got the support of people like Oliver Thambo, Walter Sisulu, Chris Hani et al, Nigeria, all Africa and some other countries in the fight.

Whereas Nkrumah, Zik, Awolowo, Kenyatta, Njoma, Boigny etc had little outside support and had to be pioneers.

Nkrumah also did not inherit a sophisticated economy with a good technological know-how like Mandela.

I think Nkrumah is just a bit ahead.

Fact is until we begin to love ourselves, look after our people and if our dog doesn't eat the crumbs, we can give to outsiders, we will always be disrespected. NIGERIA FIRST AND FOREMOST AND F*CK EVERYONE ELSE like US does.

If SA was looking for countries to provide peacekeepers, we would be first to be asked to donate our soldiers as canon fodders.

USA and co that still had Mandela's name on terrorist list till about 5 years ago, are now those leading the tribute.

What an irony.

We only have ourselves to blame though.
