If to say the story na true I for say the guy na bad guy.

Choi, cuddle, rub rub all rubables and him body no stand like spanner? cheesy

It seems you were playing "take clothes off one by one".

Na bra and undie remain na.

If the guy no be gay or his viagra has not failed him, he don push undie (most likely G-string sef) go one corner finger-F and insert the cucumber jeje.

Which correct bobo dey joke with that kind juicy sin-pot?

If na true story the guy no be any gentle guy, na gay, impotent or a very exceptional case suegbe and slowpoke with summa cum laude (distinction).

Na the day his girlfriend go come "cash" una you go know how fire dey kill tortoise.

Ol' girl please just remove christianity from this, all that hypocrisy stink big time.

Then even better. You have no business staying till your sister goes. Leave at once. Tell your mum. Show the text messages. She will now decide if to involve your dad or your sister.

If he impregnates a housemaid or another close person to your sister in the future, you will not blame yourself for telling nobody.

Otherwise he will molest you and might be too traumatised and feel guilty to say it.

MIND YOU BENIN IS THE OLDEST CITY WITH MUD HOUSES. FOLLOWED BY IBADAN
.

Mud houses are part of our heritage. Or are you ashamed of yours?

Serious countries preserve ancient heritage. Old bits of London City Wall are jealously preserved right within the posh financial district.

I have also seen ancient buildings in at least 20 countries.

Only in Africa we quickly do away with ours believing that to have very poor imitation of foreign things make us appear developed, without developed mentality.

.

That there's promiscuity among unmarried men and women in Naija is no question.

Among girls, from the university runs babe to the average girl looking for Brazilian hair to bb.

I know a few people who have faced serious embarrassment over the years. They had kids before coming to Europe.

Now to bring the kids over, they have to conduct DNA test with samples collected in Naija and test done in UK. No standard Naija DNA labs then.

The kids failed DNA test. A second DNA test conducted in UK also failed. Imagine suddenly appearing as if trying to deceive UK authorities AND the shame of telling people your 14 or 15 year old child is not yours.

Majority were firstborn kids. I think in some Naija cities, 50% firstborn bastard rate would be a conservative figure.

In Europe, Africa, South America, US, 30% overall bastard rate is about correct from various reports I have seen.

Yes men are probably more promiscuous than women BUT we don't get pregnant or give Mr Audu's baby to Mr Ogunleye or Mr Ofodile.
Family › Re: Divorce And The Suffering Of The Nigerian Women! by AreaFada2: 12:24am On Jan 07, 2014
paris10: Promiscuity shouldnt form basis of your argument. You should consider other possibilities and senseless reasons why men divorce women.

The macho man and the " I am the owner of this house" syndrome is the only reason why Nigerian men behave this callously. If Nigerian men start parting with half of their property maybe they will think twice before filing for a divorce.
.

True, just maybe then nobody will marry the women at all, baby mamas all the way. After all no marriage no divorce. cheesy

People have to be careful what they wish for. This marriage boom will stop. See UK today.

Do you live there? Do you worship the juju with them? Even if they do, they are proud of their tradition.

Is your town better developed than Tokyo where Japanese still worship with ancient religion?

Do you know that the Naija HQ of Jehovah's witnesses is in Benin?

Do you also know that the Godfather of Naija Pentecostalism (Benson Idahosa) is from Benin? Well before it became an all-comers.

It is this same beer parlour gist and prejudice that is causing failure in Nigeria.

Are you from the Vatican or Mecca? What make your own town better?

500 years back an Oba of Benin already sent a Christian crucifix as gift to the King of Portugal. Where was your own town/king then?

I have visited Benin with European friends for nearly 25 years, with Europe born and bred kids in tow, no problem.

souldust: are the embassy staff abroad Nigerians?
.

Of course they are Nigerians.

Let's face it, we're not very courteous people generally.

It is the same with civil servants in Nigeria.

Our customer service is nothing to write home about.

To make it worse we have no sense of nationhood/patriotism in us.

On top of that corruption and tribalism seal it up.

I prefer to send my passport by post for a visa than having anything physically to do with Naija embassy.

Since they treat foreign passport holders far better than Naija passport holders.

Afam4eva: We have to take a cue from America. They're the perfect example of unity. We have to make away with this "State of origin" thingy and other artifacts that are divisive in nature.
.

America cannot be an example for us. US is a country of migrants dominated by a culture that evolved from a mix of European cultures.

Whereas each Naija tribe has deep-rooted culture, tradition and mores.

Simply put you're Ibibio, Kanuri, Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa etc before you're Nigerian.

NYSC is useless. People mostly bring back hate stories.

Each person cannot marry from 250 tribes so that too is useless.

With development, good living standard, national re-orientation and political maturity, tolerance would improve.

But sadly we have failed on all counts since 53 years.

Why are some people pissing in their pants when they hear about dismantling the country?

Many countries have been dismantled before and heavens did not fall.

Artificial disunited countries of tribalists and bigots eventually fail. It's the logical end. No remedy.

It's only a matter of how. Peacefully like Czechoslovakia or violently like Yugoslavia.

Many permutations:

Arewa

Oodua (Surprise me the most. Would be better as an independent country with Yoruba as national language).

Nri or Biafra

Middle Belt or Benjos

Niger Delta or three smaller countries (Bendel, Ijaw Nation and Niger Delta).

Five very viable countries.

I visit Benin with European friends and I have done so for close to 25 years. Even our Western born and bred kids enjoy visiting so I wonder what kind of ajebutta an average Naija person is trying to form.

Light, road and other infrastructural problems, robberies and other crimes are widespread in Naija, especially in the South.

Anyway Europeans have a far greater understanding of culture than the average Naija person. And I say this deliberately.

@OP did you ask people to suggest honeymoon destinations or to condemn destinations suggested by other people?

Culture › Re: Which Is The Easiest Nigerian Language To Learn? by AreaFada2: 3:46pm On Jan 05, 2014
Afam4eva: This is not an easy question to answer as people are likely to answer with bias. I think only people who can speak several languages can get close to getting it right. I've heard a lot of people especially those who have lived in the north saying that it's Hausa. As much as i won't doubt it, it could be as a result of the fact that one is forced to speak the language due to the fact that people who are indigenous and live in the north rarely speak English or even pidgin unlike they south where you have the choice to converse in pidgin or English. For instance, despite the fact that different variants of Igbo(Ikwerre et al) is spoken by the indigenous people of Port-hacourt, pidgin seems to be the language on the streets, so people who live their rarely pick up Ikwerre except you're living in one of those villages in the outskirts of PH. The same thing applies to Warri.
.

God bless you Afam. In some parts of Naija, there are so many languages spoken within one city e.g. Warri with Itsekiri, Urhobo, Isoko, Okpe etc and Benin with Bini and substantial speakers of Esan, Etsako, Urhobo/Isoko, Igbo etc. Pidgin/English has become widespread daily language in those places.

So there's relatively very little pressure to speak the local dialect. I know people (of non-Bini parentage) born and bred in Benin who speak no Bini, others peak fluent Bini. You have nothing to lose by not speaking it because even the oldest woman in market understands pidgin and can even speak some at least.

Coming to Lagos back in the mid-1980s I was shocked to see a Yoruba house help who could not understand even pidgin English.

Coming from South-South then, in addition to English, pidgin and two other local dialects, Yoruba was my third Naija language learnt within the family (due to historical mixture of tribes in the family), so it wasn't fluent. But I had no problem communicating in it as needed. I later found out that there were many youths in Lagos who could speak no English/pidgin but just Yoruba.

If you lived in Kano, you will equally see the need to speak Hausa yourself.

I learnt certain European languages, not because they were easy but because there was urgent need to do so, depending on which country I lived/worked/studied in.

For culture

Visit Igun street (an official World heritage site) in Benin to see ancient bronze casting famous worldwide and on display prominently in British Museum London, Museum fuer Volkerkunde Berlin, Musee des Arts d'Afrique et d'Oceanie Paris and several museums and galleries in North America.

Benin National Museum, one of only 6 National Museums in Nigeria.

Chief Ogiamie Palace, one of the oldest surviving original houses in West Africa, over 800 years old (an official Nigerian national monument too).

The Benin Moats and ramparts, the world's largest civil engineering achievement in history (ahead of the pyramids of Egypt). Built in phase from about 1280 to 1460.

Though the Chinese are now "suddenly" discovering extra bits of the Great wall in order to lay claim the first position.

If you're the lazy type, Benin has one of the highest number of hotels per head in Naija (akin to banks in concentration). There are many good and secure ones in GRA area beginning from Motel Benin Plaza.

You can just relax, use swimming pool and book a cab from hotel to take you around town. Sample local delicacies.

Actually if we want to be objective without any silly tribalism, a person called Mr Dike can easily be an Ododuwa descendent.

There are royal houses in Anioma originally from Benin royal family. And Benin royal family descend from Ododuwa.

We need to realise that despite the despicable tribalism people display these days, we can't do much to change reality of history.

We can try to distort it, but reality remains reality.

We also need to realise that Ododuwa's blood extends beyond modern Yorubaland. It's is not always synonymous with being a Yoruba.

Create some jobs (a very old-fashioned idealist) and to gradually invest back home and have businesses to return home to years from now.

Come and see dishonesty from staff and so-called family members involved.

When the dude is in Naija, hotel is usually 70 to 95 % occupied depending on day of the week, season etc.

The minute he flies abroad, they'll report as low as 20% occupancy.

We have a long way to go.
