Family › Re: Being Married To A Nigerian Is Hard Sometimes by armyofone(m): 3:04pm On Jun 11, 2012
There are simple way to do it without sounding off.
send money thru Des or both names eg Des and bomboi etc then pass the info to them that Des sent something little to them.
i'm sure they will learn to say something as simple as 'thank you Des''
Family › Re: Being Married To A Nigerian Is Hard Sometimes by armyofone(m): 2:41pm On Jun 11, 2012
I don't think ignoring it or asking God to put the frustration away will make things better. there is limit to what we human can take. the best is you talk to him, to make sure they show appreciation to whatever help no matter how small you and your family give them.
one thing i know is that if the wifey did not support (direct or indirectly, I doubt the guy will be able to sent money).
Desirel, talk to your husband, tell him you want to hear thank you from his people whenever money/stuff is sent to them.

shushu: desirel,
actually that lack of courtesy is not peculiar to you because you are a non nigerian wife. It also happens to some Nigerian wives as well.It does my head in as well, but, try to ignore those petty things.Everytime it bothers you, if you are a christian ask God to help take that frustration away, After a while, you wont care whether or not they call you, say thank you etc.

ummmm,
like she can't ask you to go to hell too tongue grin
when you are done acting up and putting up false toughie here, no forget to make dinner. also make the steak well cooked too.
oh, please change that grill to charco grill and put lot of pepper while marinating it.
also, pick up some scented candle for the bath tongue

Sagamite: So fucking well said.

I was thinking about it about 30 mins ago to say it on NL but it slipped my mind.

So absolutely fcking well said.

I have learnt in life that you can rarely be happy with a woman and you are not mature enough for long-term relationship with a woman until you are capable of telling her to go to hell if needs be and she knows you would.

I have become fcking good at that shyt men. I am a professional! None of that "You are everything BS".

I let them know I can and would move on. Behave or you are a goner! No matter how fine you are, there are hundreds of you out there and I am good at getting them.

Family › Re: Our Attitude Towards Teenage Pregnancy by armyofone(m): 9:21pm On Jun 07, 2012
Single mom life is really hard i agree. One used to bring her baby to class. Put the baby on top her desk while still on phone arguing with
boyfriend who didn't turn up to pick up the child like promised.
You should see how they fight over one baby thing or the other.
I don't pray for such for my future children.
Family › Re: Our Attitude Towards Teenage Pregnancy by armyofone(m): 9:11pm On Jun 07, 2012
I am struggling to understand the emboldened. By saying it should be outlawed, what exactly do you mean? Are you inferring that punitive measures should be taken against anyone who gets pregnant during [her] teenage years?
boy/girls should be close to their parents enough to share such life turning circumstance.

it is sad that girls are left alone to carry the headache.

I don't know what I will do in such situation. But I think as long as she wasn't raped, I will go through it all with her.
Born finish and oya go back to school. me and the boy parents will be playing mommys.
Family › Re: Which Do I Choose; Marriage Or Job? by armyofone(m): 10:11pm On Jun 06, 2012
davidylan: Cancel the wedding. The fact that the thought even popped into your head at all means you dont truly love this man enough if not no sacrifice would be too much to make for your marriage.
Where was this man all the time you were looking for a job?

Take your job... true good men are scarce but the Lord will provide for you. You just have to look well.
good idea smiley. There are plenty fishes in the river.
the fact that the job was so hard to find will be one reason why I won't quit it cuz of some son's of Adam.
We marry, you relocate or come visiting, look for job where my good job is.
if you say no, then please mon find ya way.
there are many kondo out there and i can easily and discreetly order Love Machine from oversea smiley
Family › Re: Which Do I Choose; Marriage Or Job? by armyofone(m): 4:45pm On Jun 06, 2012
i would have said take your guy and forget the job but the thing now is African guy want a woman who will not piranha on him. you hear them all the time on NL shebi grin. Gone are the days when a man won't bug if new wifey is not brining in ego/kudi/owo.
2 options:
take the job, buy a big dilly grin
take the job, marry and stay where you are till you find job where he is smiley

if the job pays real good, my sister take it. this hard economic if you chop finish for bed, food must be on the table.
you plus your guy could come to an agreement. come visiting etc.

Family › Re: Why Are Women Their Own Worst Enemies? by armyofone(m): 4:22pm On May 22, 2012
Survival instinct.

Sagamite: You are wrong that it is only an evil-minded lady, who will hate on another sister. Probably 90% of women I have met in my life (and I have met alot cheesy) casually hate on other women and I don't think they are evil-minded people. I just think they are women. It is a natural state, they always see other women as competition especially if they feel she has a lot going for her. If she is in the gutters or butters (I hope you like my rhymes grin), they are good at having empathy for her, as they are more comfortable with her. No wonder everytime you go to a club, you see a fine girl with a horrible looking/obese friend. This happend alot in teen and early 20s girlfriendships. The fine girl is happy to use the friend to be used as a contrast against her to emphasis her own good features. The friend on the other hand would do anything possible to block any good guy approaching her. Awon weere meji (two mad people). grin
quite interesting take. Personally for me all the ones i have around me are doing well for themselves (money/guys/marriage/work/education)
so no competition nor have i experienced one.
Soja for life! grin
SemperFi.
