Even 97% of his songs are about "successes" from being a tout and hooligan. Not true While he is no Nosa or Nathiel Bassey, he often sings of his struggles to make it as an artiste. He is know to shout the word 'LEGAL' in most of his songs perhaps to signify the approach to success he endorses. This is sad though. |

Can you even compare America's universities to Russia's universities in research output?
How many technology advancements have happened in Russia? What other benefits do they bring to the world currently asides from selling raw materials?
They only know how to build missiles and nuclear weapons so that they can brag about being a "world power". Even China is miles ahead of them. Actually the Russians have some of the best pure scientists and Mathematicians for a 'closed' country. Unfortunately they are miles behind the US. |

MangekyoAlt: The world? Apart from Europe and America, who else do you see crying about Russia's invasion of Ukraine? South America is quiet. Africa has barely made any statement, same with Asia. Infact the supposed US allies in Asia, South Korea and Japan have both been coordinating themselves. It is just Europe and USA that have been crying and ditching out sanctions. Russia spoiled all their plan which is why they're so triggered right now It's easy to 'criticize' US & Europe. And truly they aren far from perfect. However the hypocrisy that's not uncovered is that children of the Elite (including the political class) send their wards to school in US & Western Europe, (Kim Jong Um did his secondary schooling in Switzerland) stash their assets in same places and usually when they are out of favour with the dictator government they also go to US & Europe. The reverse however is rarely the case. The children of political class/elite in US /Europe rarely (if ever) go to China or Russia or even North Korea to school. They hardt stash assets in these countries. Summarily almost all strong American oppositionist live in America today. Where do the political oppositionists in China or Russia or North Korea live? In most cases they're either arrested, killed or flee the country. North Korea has no political oppositions. While we crave for balance in power, The Russian government (as now) or China (with CCP) are hardly good replacements. |

If you really follow the news of Russia vs Ukraine from 1997 you will understand the present day happening.
Nevertheless, war may not be the only option for peace.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Facebook Bans Russia State Media From Running Adverts, Monetising by Asour: 5:59pm On Feb 26, 2022 |
Afonjashapmouth: The aim of the United State and its European allies is to peel Ukraine away from the Soviet orbit and incorporate it into the West. Their basic goal has been to make Ukraine a Western Bulwark on Russia's border and Russia is not having it.
There are three key strategies....
NATO Expansion: Since the Cold war ended starting with the Clinton's administration, America has been moving NATO eastward towards Russian border and the Russians have said that they will not have it.
European Union(E.U) Expansion: Its all about integrating Ukraine economically into the West just the way America is in the process of integrating or polling the Czech republic, Slovakia the Baltic states into the West and of course America is doing that with NATO as well, these are two sets of institutions, NATO military institution, the E.U and economic institution and the idea again is to take Ukraine, peel it away from Russia and make it part of the West.
Fostering Orange Revolution: Its all about promoting "Democracy" in Ukraine and other places and the United State runs around trying to topple regimes and put in place democratically elected regimes and we know how hard it is to be against promoting democracy because we all love it.
If you are Vladimir Putin or part of the leadership in Beijin, when the United State talks about democracy promotion that means toppling your regime, so you should not be surprise that they do not like that idea is Beijin and they don't like it in Moscow as well. The Chinese believes that the United State are behind the protest in Hong Kong, the truth is that the Chinese political elite do not like democracy because it is pro America or West.
Monroe Doctrine: The Western hemisphere is our backyard and nobody from a distant region is allowed or permitted to move military forces into the Western hemisphere. This was why America went crazy at the idea of the Soviets putting military forces in Cuba, "This is unacceptable nobody puts military forces in the Western hemisphere, that is what the Monroe Doctrine is all about"(Cuba Missile Crisis).
Can we imagine 20years from now, a powerful China forming a military alliance with Canada, Mexico and moving Chinese military forces unto Canadian and Mexican soil while America is just standing there and saying..there is no problem, we are all 20th and 21st century people worrying about Chinese forces, what's with these 19th century people like Putin worrying about..America will not say this, infact America will say "this ain't going to happen, we are going to maintain the Monroe doctrine with regards to China just as we did with the Soviet Union during the Cold war, so nobody should be surprised that the Russians were apoplectic about the idea of America putting Ukraine on the Western side of the ledger.
America is the biggest hypocrite with so much double standard. They use the power of the press via propaganda to justify their falsehood or half truth by portraying themselves as the defender of peace, truth and humanity.
Putin is dangerously patriotic, he is the best kind of man needed for Russian survival at this time of aggressive Western imperialism. However, if America was not playing double standard or accussing Russia of what they have successfully done in other places, I would have said Vladimir Putin is that man to be tamed so as to maintain global peace.
What America is doing right now was what France and Britain were pushing Poland then, promising Poland of help in case Germany attacks but did nothing to give Poland tanks and planes but when Germany attacked, they did nothing. And when Germany was defeated, they sold out Poland to the then Soviet Union even when Polish soldiers and pilots fought in their thousands to defend Britain.
America knew exactly what to do to push Russia to war…..this isn’t hard to figure out; US would have gone to war if the Cuban missile crisis continued. I think the owners of US used Ukraine to achieve a purpose which is to cut off European gas supply by Russia….that supply deficit would be filled in by America oil companies.
Ukrainian President should have been wise enough to give a little bit to Europe and a little bit to Russia to keep the balance…the geopolitical location of Ukraine demands such….this was the position Belgium prior to Second World War and they chose no sides...Ukraine has refused to learn from history.
N.B Any reasonable government will maintain policy of non alignment at this point and prepare for the possible economic impact the Russia Ukraine NATO crisis will have on global economy including Nigeria Non alignment is good but many developed Nations (barring Germany) don't stand to lose much from decoupling from Russia. It's been fairly isolated/high handed over the last 2 decades. Russians (the people) are brilliant & great. It has produced some of the most brilliant scientists in the world. But when a country's leadership allows no room to hear dissenting or constructive opposition voices, it surrounds itself with yes men & in the longterm [may] be doomed. The US is FAR from a perfect country. Most people say the US tries to fosters 'democracy' everywhere but democracy wasn't even invented by the US. People might say what they want but Political oppositionists in the US live in the US no matter how much 'dissenting' they appear. Where do strong political oppositionists in Russia or China live ? They are most likely killed jailed or have fled the country. That can't be a decent way to lead a country. The US (as racist as many claim) is one of the few countries in the world where one can rise above most human limitations to political & economic success — even as immigrants. The elite in Russia/china often consider their assets safer in EU/US should they fall out of favour with the government. No country is perfect (not even the US) but if the M.O. of leadership in Russia & China would be their template for global leadership then we are in for it. Cheers. |

If every white person is a potential racist (you're correct) What's every black person's potential prejudice? Classism? Tribalism, Nepotism? Ethnicism? Lookism or Ageism? I hope you know that all vices I listed above including racism are sub vices within the prejudice family. Racism (as terrible as it is) is a scapegoat. The vast majority of Africans (not all) would never experience racism in their lifetime simply because they won't travel outside the continent. Right001: When I moved to the U. K for my master. I stay in an flat which consist of many white English boys. So an England boy called Harry decided to show me the equipment in the apartment. So when we got to the kitchen he show me a dish washer which I did not care to look at and he responded that have I see a dish washer before? I was shock and told him of course have seen a dish washer and he reply that I did not want to sound rude but africa are poor and always hungry and I reply him do I look like someone that is poor and hungry and his respond was you are from the rich family in Africa and I told him clearly my parents are not rich that am just an average Nigerian boy and he his reply was it is impossible that you are either rich or poor in Africa and my response was that he should stop believing the propaganda been pass by CNN and BBC about Africa.
After that we bonded and we usually teese ourself and crack jokes. So during December period I was infected with covid 19 which all. Of them in the house have travel to their family home to spend Christmas and new year holiday. So during that mid January on Friday I was in the parlour with my white flatmates and we where just joking and catching fun then we started to talk about covid and I told them during the time they travel I contacted covid and Harry reply that he is going to kill me so I laugh and I thought it was one of the joke but he said he mean it and I started telling him that so do u expect me to call u in your family home and tell u I contacted covid and the others white where explaining to him and this guy started using abusing words against me telling me to return back to Africa and saying some nasty words about Africa and I told him if u have brief with me then challange me and stop picking on my continent and colour and he told me that he is going to insult my colour and continent that if I want to fight him then we should go to the garden to fight as man to man. I was just saying in my mind this man is looking for someone to kill him. I just ignore him and when I stop replying him he just calm down and left. What pain me most was when he left then all the white guys told me his crazy that I should not answer him and I was like when he was insulting me racially all of u where just watching him as if nothing happen. After some time he came back to the parlour and apologise to everyone except me for been a nusiance and after that he wanted to discuss with me and I shouted at him saying back off. After sometime he wanted talking to me and I just ignore him as if nobody is talking and after talking I just close my laptop and gave him a bad gesture and left the palour then he reply that I am looking at him as a vallian that he is not a bad guy.
The next day his girlfriend came visiting him and was smiling at me and i just reply her with a bone face and left. Then after sometime he came apologising to me that what he did to me was wrong that he did it under the influence of acholol which I know but I said to myself for him to say this to me when he was drunk meaning he has been harbouring such thoughts in his mind and the alcohol just gave him the courage to express his racist characters to me. I told him I forgive him but right now I don't trust any English people or white people because for such a guy to laugh and joke with u and still be a racist his something terrible. Abeg make una give bristish chance. Sorry about your racism experience. However, I think you're about making the same mistake he made. Using one experience, incident/individual to shape your outlook. Wouldn't you be staying in the UK after school? It more likely that a 'white' person would give you your job (if you plan staying). Would that person be bad too? On a lighter note, if you didn't go to the UK on a full scholarship, you are hardly an 'average' Nigerian. Most UK Programmes are £15000 without Visas, traveling, feeding & housing. That's ~N8.5m out of pocket. What's the % of Nigerians you reckon has that as liquid cash? Good luck. |
