SensualMan: I'm only impressed that a Nyamiri from the great tribe came to Afonja nation and checked out as the best graduating student of OAU, a feat even the rat poison guzzler, Awolowo couldn't achieve.
Congratulations to that igbo boy. Whoever knows him should send me his details. I have something for him, better than what the govt gave him. What you should be surprised about is how 'Afonj_a' not only admitted him to the school but never stood against his merited accomplishments. That goes against what you guys spew about Afonj_a's hatre_d for your tribesmen. Hahahaha. You guys are funny. |

Tpharell: You completely misunderstood the point made there. Regardless of what you wrote there, many naive young minds will be wondering and comparing the obvious gains of both endeavors. This is definitely not a sure way to promote education as a ticket to better life in a poor illiterate society There are over 70 Nigerian CEOs earning 30 - 90m per year in various Nigerian corporates. A select few earn over 100m /annually too. Many (thousands) Chief level executives & managers /Professionals earn tens of millions too in various ranks across different industries. There are many more Nigerians in Europe & America earning good sums as professionals YEARLY (not one-off). Guess what? 95%+ of them are graduates with their education a good part of their success. Why would millions of Nigerian graduates have their eyes on a prize that can only be given to one per year? BBN or whatever is a game of extreme luck. A pure entertainment play. That the best graduating student wasn't given 90m takes nothing away from the value of education. Anyone who thinks it does should give up on education and chase his extremely unlikely BBN dreams. Cheers. |

ILoveDemMANNA: Winner of BB9Ja was given around 90 Million Naira. Some were even made special assistant to the Governors of their various states. How much will they reward this brilliant student with? Wasted generation. No BB9ja prize winner was given 90m Cash. Even of they were, then that's what the show promoters thought the winner should get. A university education is not in competition with BBN. My point ? They are only so many (few) BBN winners with even a fewer set doing well over the years. We can't all become BBN acts. But education still remains the MOST GUARANTEED platform for ushering the majority out of poverty. Many Engineers would be gainfully employed THIS YEAR alone than all potential BBN winners for ever. Anyone (undergraduate) who still doesn't understand my point in statistical significance should drop out an keep applying for BBN. Perharps he'll cash out 90m one day. |

Soon those with AS and SS will be without partners for procreation because AA wants to marry only AA.
But it is interesting to note that genotype isn't a topic of discussion when dating or marrying in the developed world. It is not just an issue of survival of the fittest. It's also another glaring testament to our collective limitations as humans. It is just another hard nut (challenge) medical science is yet to crack. Thinktwicemybro: The US will lose its relevance before 2025, this is because of their role in immorality all over the world. From pornography to gay to transgender. These are heavy sin against God and the US cannot escape God's judgement. The minds of many youths are polluted with sex pornography while many nation's are bullied to allow same sex marry! All because of the US investments in these foolish things.
First to comment for the second time on naira land, let the congratulations pour in. And if the US doesn't(lose relevance in 4 years), what does that make you? See, the US like any other nation is far from Perfect. They have made many mistakes, as have other nations. However, there are christians & believers there just like there are anywhere else. Would those ones suffer because of the 'Country's' deeds? What country doesn't have bad deeds? BKayy: I don't mean to sound rude but you should have known that Algeria has been a historical ground of civilization. It is one of the few places in the not just the maghreb but the entire Middle East with continous inhabitants for centuries. It is one if the few Maghreb settlements that Roman Empire gave the name Africa which later moved to encompass the blacks which were formerly known as Ethiopians.
Coming to international statistics, Nigerian population has been notorious as one of the greatest fraud in History. The only reason why some don't openly challenge it is because of the British factor, who has encouraged it right from her colonial days to favour those she can control. Quote me anywhere, Nigerian population has defied all the laws of Geography, Human settlements, Biology, Ecology and Sociology.
There has never been any place in the world where an Arid, desert or sahel/Sudan savannah has more population of not just humans but any living thing. All population of life forms increase significantly as one move from the Sahel to the Tropical rainforest. This is the theory that explains why SE Asia has more population than the Arab Realm (Middle East) or why the diversity of life forms and human existence is more pronounced in the rain forest.
In the Middle East, it is obvious that their population increase as one get to the savanna/watering hole where all the fights in old ages centered on. It was called survival. A fight that even Muhammad (SAW) participated in. In Egypt,Algeria etc more than 60% of the population are close to the sea
Only Nigeria in the world defied all these laws in the entire world Sorry but you are just saying believe me, believe me without giving me concrete positions to back up your assertions. Let me get you. Are you saying that Northern Nigeria is a desert ground? A place that has more arable land (area) than the South? Certain agricultural products can't even be grown economically in the south. That the place you refer to as a desert? Are you also saying that all population census done by the NBS (forget the British) are wrong both South & North. But YOU have a good estimate for the reasons you've adduced above? And you expect me to hold onto your claims? Hahahaha. Na woah! |

BKayy: Algeria is almost times 3 of the whole Nigeria Landmass, strict Sunni Muslims (99%) but their population is 44m
The closest neighbour of Northern Nigeria, Niger Republic are also Muslims with a land Mass that is bigger than the entire Nigeria but their population is 24m
So what are you saying? Are you more Muslim than Niger Republic or Algeria?
The entire North plus Middle Belt is not up to 15m But those countries have never been reported to have a higher population than Nigeria in history. They've also never had a higher birth rates than us. (Per statista.com). My point is that IF Nigeria is truly the 7th most populous country in the world, and the most populous in Africa with an estimated ~200m people, These people have to be within Nigeria right? Now you'll agree with me (as per available) statistics (NBS & other global statistics) that more than half of Nigeria's population reside in (geographical) Northern Nigeria. Almajiri children alone (while difficult to monitor) in the North are estimated (per a UNICEF report, 2020) at >7m children. That's more than the total population of a few states In the South. While all these statistics are not perfect, the onus lies on anyone disproving these statistics to supply sound arguments against a body like NBS with Nbillions in resources. Cheers. |
Travel › Re: Aerial View Of The First Flyover In Borno (Pictures, Video) by Asour: 12:35am On Dec 10, 2021 |
BKayy: According to Nigerian statistics, this place you are looking at is more populous than Aba. According to facts Kaduna state (46053 sqkm) is larger in area than all south eastern states (~41K sqkm) combined. Or do we ignore that too? Do we not all know that Northerns have the higher birth rates, large families & entrenched polygamy? And unlike states in the south, the rural population trumps the count of people in 'urban' North (excluding non-indigenes). If we don't believe the NBS, should we believe you? |

It depends on your interests.
What area of Programming do you want to play in.
Data analytics / Engineering? Full stack development? Application /web development? Database development?
You Choose:
Having been familiar with Data & Analytics domain, I'ld advice.
Excel > SQL> R> Java. In that Order.
I really don't know much about Full stack development but you should check Code with mosh on YouTube for more details.
ALWAYS know that programming is NOT an end but a means to an end. So Value above medium should be the watchword.

Unless you are insinuating that in french, Forward = Striker. Also you said nothing about how Lewandowski's poor international outing seems to have NO effect on people's assessment of his year. See it this way. Because of Lewandowski's lower (compared to Messi) profile, nobody is talking about the fact that he crashed out of Euros group stage and that he didn't qualify Poland for the world cup yet. No one. Trust me this would not have been so if it was Messi (even with winning stuff in Laliga). Messi would not even be second if he crashed out of group stage in Copa & didn't qualify for World cup. Think through. It (popularity) cuts both ways. |

For one, Messi is not a striker. Also in 2019, Barca won everything but UCL. They lost only one game in UCL - Liverpool away. Even Liverpool lost more than one game. Also in 2019, Messi was the top assist & Golden boot in Europe despite not being a striker. That huge if it was anyone else. Lewandowski is a great player (if he was voted for he'd have won) but what he achieved in 2021 is the equivalent of what Messi achieved in 2018 but got a laughable 5th. Some said because it (2018) was an international year (World cup). Well 2021 was also an international year. While he is not to be blamed, Poland did poorly. Be sincere to yourself, If Messi did not qualify Argentina to World cup in 2021 and crashed out of COPA in group stage (like Lewandowski)would you be this defensive of Messi — even if he was the top goal scorer & won Laliga & Copa del Rey? Therein lies your answer. |

You didn't say this in 2017 when CR7 caught up with Messi from a 4 -1 gap to 5-5. The award wasn't discredited then. It would then seem that the award only gets discredited when YOU deem it so. At that point you may as well just create your award. N.B. Balond'or is a Votes based award not anointed by the CEO of France football. |

Besides the fact that the results are based on a vote, A case can be made that in 2018, Messi won EVERYTHING Lewandowski won this year BUT because it was a World cup year, Messi was relegated to a laughable 5th. You probably said nothing then. This year while not being a world cup year, IS a year of 2 solid International tournaments. Some would say 3 even. Lewandowski (a great player) failed in the 2 relevant to him & so like Messi (in 2018) CAN be relegated as the voters please. May the voted win! |
