Cannot save Suarez. Cannot dictate signings or coach hired?

Stop the dictator narrative. Doesn't add up.

Do you even know what 10000 is?

proeast:
In this 21st century Nigeria is still sharing money to states in such reckless manner. Why not post how much each state got?

Why can't they run these states in a professional way and have funds audited properly?

The federal government will receive money from the IOC's and add the ones it collected from China and other lenders and distribute to governors who end up using it as they pleases.

Is it impossible to audict the civil servants population and respective ranks in each state and and have a professional firm handle the allocations, while state governors will make specific requests that will be tied to any infrastructural project before funds will be released.

Run this damn country like civilized people!!
They do post the actual amounts allotted to all states of the federation. You can find it at the RMFAAC website.

Also, Auditors at the State Auditor general office are responsible for such report. External auditors may do a better job but even they are not impervious to corruption (AKA bias due to threat of loss of business). With the FOI act now many government documents can be demanded and privately assessed by individuals. It's not hard to find anomalies on them, it is rarer to get them to act on any such.

But then again all of this "high sounding" amount is about 1.7bn$ for Nigerians. For good comparison, nike earned an average 3.2bn$ a month in 2019 with about 75k employees.

God help us.

You aren't far from the truth. The US visa sanction was apt and it kept INEC and Buhari on their toes but their apologist will defer.
The US sanctions had nothing to do with the elections.

The Edo election isn't even the only election conducted in Nigeria this year. What makes Edo special from say Bayelsa?

Besides Buhari (despite other failures) has been reasonably neutral about the outcomes of gubernatorial election in the country. If anything that's his only credit.

Why was US sanctions not used for other elections in Nigeria. After all it's not a new measure.

Gbam. Though am not a politician but as a political animal, I wanted Obaseki to win because we all love the story of the underdog in any contest. At a point I was afraid they will crush him with federal might. But then, Buhari does not stick his neck for any one in politics especially now that he has got second term secured. But don't be deceived, Ondo state will go to APC because the circumstances are not the same.
I too don't like being involved in politics.

I also think Buhari's administration has been abysmal But to be fair give the guy credits here.

He was neutral and allowed INEC have its way. You glossed over his neutrality by saying "Buhari does not stick neck for anyone in politics".
My brother that's neutrality. He's been poor in almost all areas but give it to him when he deserves it don't hold back.

Really?

I am not an expert though but who took the DNA samples of ancient jews?

Also why are the bible symbols of jerusalem/other cities found in the current area where Israel is?

Sorry about what? Tell me a country that can boast of oil with good agricultural land, healthy citizens without weird types of cancers all around, brains that we keep losing to foreign countries and the ones we fail to develop locally? If only we had combined these things right from the beginning, you won't have been brainwashed into thinking you are inferior to anyone. Look at the herbs we discard here, isn't it the major ingredients in many of the modernized drugs big pharma is selling to us at exorbitant prices. Now tell how the sad state of the country is a joke to anyone?
As humans we are not inherently better or worse than other countries nationals.

Priding in one's natural resources (including arable land) is a joke because you did nothing to earn them they were bestowed on you by God.

Now give examples of your nation's successes not potentials. That's what counts.

By the way many nations on earth have those things you've listed. E.g. Brazil, Malaysia, Russia etc.

God help us though. I am really not happy with the country's state. But I hope to do better within my space first.

Congratulations sir

It's the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.

As a child I have been really dreamt of studying med/surgery, but I ended up with biochemistry and proceeded with an M.Sc but every night my heart keep panting reminding me that I have a role to play in the health sector than being a mere biochemist without significantly working in anyway related to heath. After all this trouble going through my heart I am definitely willing to return back to the root and accomplish this dream.
So help me God!
By all means fulfill your dreams but even though I am no Biochemist I know they are not 'mere'.

With your use of the word 'mere', I do hope that your desire for medicine isn't borne out of the search for euphoric prestige o! Otherwise you may find it empty after achieving it.

Imagine governors are using forcefully obtained taxes(what's Caesar's) to build mosques but there is an outcry for pastors using voluntarily donated money for intended purposes.
Buhari uses tax(what's Caesar's) to buy close to a dozen private jets for his daughters yet no one is angry with such criminalities, rather they are concerned about dignified churches that makes people aware of what is being bought, its purpose and stick to the plan. Indeed, criminality is being celebrated over dignity.
You might not like Buhari as a person. I don't like his approach to leadership too but you don't have to make unfounded statements that are even ridiculous.

Excessive population growth rates means it's virtually impossible for the Nigerian economy to accommodate all of us comfortably.

To a large extent, staying in Nigeria (all ones life) condemns one to a certain degree of mediocrity in your pursuits. Outside God, great things are tremendously harder to do here.

Exactly my point!

If an average player— by your standard (who didn't conquer europe) can make this record stand for almost 15 years then maybe it's not so much a great record.

CR7 is great however. This record which he hasn't broken (honestly) doesn't really make him greater (having played) 17 years.

Young man, try to reason sensibly.

Did you watch any of the Ali Daei’s matches to come up with such belief against Ronaldo?

If not For Ronaldo’s record chasing, would you have known Ali Daei or his record?

My advice to you is that when you want to establish a belief, let it be based on the knowledge of reality and fact
Hahahaha!

You should be asked that question.

CR7 is a great player. There's no denying it.

But if this record is as "noteworthy" as you claim, why didn't we all globally revere Ali daei before now?

Why is it when CR7 is closing in on the record that the record becomes greatly magnified/ important?

It's a nice feat but not as large as made out to be BECAUSE of its inevitability. A player with CR7's caliber is naturally expected to get to 100 goals having played since 2003 (18 years).

A nice feat nonetheless.

Europe: Austria, Belgium and Netherlands.

Asia: Japan & Taiwan.
