Lol. Funny enough, we've the highly rated and efficient "Eagle Eye" domain that's supposed to monitor our water ways (maybe its AOR covers only the Gulf of Guinea area & not our inland waterways). Anyways, much as I'd like to believe the NN's account of the events that played out, it's also important that a neutral body (DSS preferably) investigates the allegations and counter allegations; it's a very serious allegation the Tantita guys made against the Navy. |
I don't think that there's any politician in this current dispensation that's as petty as this Ganduje; how someone with his experience, exposure & political power displays pettiness at every opportunity is beyond imagination. |
PDP is playing the waiting game as far as this Wike matter is concerned; they'll eventually suspend him but that can only happen if the Tribunal declares the Wazirin Adamawa winner of the 2023 presidential election & the Supreme Court upholds the judgment. |
This is what out governors have reduced LG chairmen to - beggars. Gov. Abiodun should tread carefully because his declaration as Governor by INEC may be upturned by the Ogun Governorship Petitions Tribunal reducing him to just another citizen without executive powers. |
Someone tweeted something about "Obidients" some time not too long ago & it goes this: "They [Obidients] create a scenario in their head then begin to jubilate/celebrate". Till date, I haven't seen a more befitting description of those group of supporters; recently, it would appear "Atikulators" have also caught the same bug. All in all (irrespective of your political inclination), Nigeria shall win & outlive us all! |
No way Nigerian politicians are going to make heaven because if pictures don't lie, then there's no way Gov. Obaseki can feign ignorance that he wasn't aware his deputy was blocked from gaining access to him. |
On the extra-judicial killing of Lagosians allegedly by soldiers/policemen, Gov. Sanwo-Olu acts like a man whose wife's peaceful nature has been taken advantage of by his brothers that whenever they visit him, they always leave her battered and in tears yet, when accosted by his in-laws & neighbors to protect his wife, he always claims he's on top of the situation & just needs to personally catch anyone of his brothers in the act so as to serve as a scapegoat. If these pattern of killings had been noticed in Rivers State under Wike as Governor, that Brigade Commander or Police Commissioner would've since been redeployed from the state /or even called out by him. Though he has his good attributes, Gov. Sanwo-Olu also just happens to be a weakling incapable of taking very tough decisions & seeing them through. |
The UK's NCA gave her time to recover from the life-threatening illness she was battling at the time all the while gathering more evidences to nail her; even she must've felt they'd forgotten about the case then boom! Just like Ike Ekweremadu & his wife's saga, the whole case will seem like a joke to onlookers till verdict is delivered then reality will dawn on all involved. I wish the lovely Diezani good luck in this particular case because she'll be needing loads of it. Meanwhile, I sense Kola Aluko, Jide Omokore & co entered a soft of deal with the UK authorities to "deliver" the former petroleum resources minister who was their target all along. |
Lol. Dangote Refinery will most likely come on stream very very soon in order to divert attention from the gathering storm. Nonetheless, Dangote won't suffer any repercussions for his alleged economic crimes against Nigeria. |
Well said NDLEA. |
Well, while the plight of the Niger Delta people deserve adequate, prompt & qualitative attention from the Federal Government, the PANDEF & other similar ethnic groups in the region should share in the blame for the neglect of their region. What have their respective governors been doing with (especially) the 12.5% resource control accruing to them? Then Gov. Wike revealed just before the elections that the Buhari-led FG paid billions of Naira to the N/Delta states as part of their entitlements, what did the other governors do with their own share (most didn't even publicly acknowledge receipt of the money and would probably never have been public knowledge if not for Wike's exposé). Finally, PANDEF had a true son of Niger Delta as President for no fewer than 5 years & VP for at least 2-3yrs, what did he attract to their region? Those are the issues. |
Attention seeker who's waiting to be "picked up" or responded to so she can give a "disrespectful" reply in return; Aunty, no one will respond to or pick you up for airing your opinion. Just waka dey go. |
We're either confused or don't know what we want as a people. If you can't hold your leaders at the state level i.e governors accountable, what moral right do you've to hold the FG accountable? This has always been the problem; everyone looking to the FG meanwhile the state governors are getting away with doing whatever they like. |
If Wike eventually dumps the PDP for APC, it'll confirm whispers in some quarters that PBAT & his allies are working underground to create a new political vehicle for the realization of his second term. |
There has always been a heavy presence of well-armed security operatives on that train service since after the devastating attack last year. I just hope this measure is accompanied with other preventive measures because while the terrorists may not successfully capture passengers that they may use as leverage, a potential attack could still leave many dead, injured, maimed & scarred for life. |
Israel's most obvious weakness is he talks too much like he has something to prove to whoever it's he's trying to impress. I hope he doesn't get away with this attempt at cyber bullying of a girl who he claims dumped him over 20yrs ago yet, he'd to post her full picture with him just to prove a point? |
What they all would've done (close ranks) prior to the last general elections is what they're doing now after the deed has been done. Anyways, it's not too late to close ranks esp against 2027 during which I expect Alh. Atiku Abubakar to give way for younger politicians like Kwankwaso, Peter Obi, Udom Emmanuel, Bukola Saraki et al. |
Thank God it didn't result in any grievous bodily harm. Meanwhile, couldn't help but notice how the former presidential candidate was silent on where this incident happened & how he didn't blamed anyone or institution; if this had happened in Lagos or Abuja we wouldn't have heard the last of it. He would've "sewn" a lengthy thread about how Nigeria keeps failing her citizens & probably even called for a probe of the stuck elevator considering his status in society but like I said before, we thank God! |
President Tinubu's administration might just be the one that eventually tips Nigeria over the precipice; it's not even so much about the fast crumbling economy under his watch but the aloofness & sluggish pace at which he's moving as if everything is ok. |
LeJeun3:Thank you. I've been in touch with Kingreign |
LeJeun3:Thank you so much. |
kingreign:Thank you. Just did. Perhaps when you're free, you could return my call? My number ends with 0812*****93. |
Thank you. Reaching out to him. olenyi: |
Emergency lovers of Niger Republic. When then President Buhari was taking the hit left, right & centre over the economic sense in constructing a multi-million dollar SRG to Maradi, Niger Republic, none of these northern elites -speaking out now against the ECOWAS decision to use military force if necessary, to restore constitutional order - found it expedient to remind critiques of the project of the very long historical and cultural relationship between northerners & their Niger neighbors. Anyways, no one wishes for ECOWAS to make good its threat to use military force in Niger Republic but if push comes to shove & they do, Nigeria will contribute boots & hardware to a regional contingent & worse that'll happen for President Tinubu is that he'll lose northern votes massively come 2027 (or isn't that what most of the latter day lovers of Niger want anymore?) while the North bears the additional brunt of infux of refugees from Niger (after all, didn't they say Nigeriens are their brothers? It would be time then to show brotherly love by accommodating their Nigerien cousins). A win-win situation for all. Abeg, make nobody just quote me... I no fit explain wetin mesef write. Thanks in advance. |
Lol. Is this "renewed hope" or renewed corruption pro max. What concerns using tax payers funds to reconstruct guest houses/palaces for traditional rulers? If the KDSG doesn't care enough to refurbish/reconstruct the guest house & palaces of its several "Hakimis", why should the FG be saddled with that responsibility? |
LeJeun3:Hello, I reckon you're not "active" on this particular thread for a while now but if you could recommend a reliable & experienced Range Rover (2005) mechanic in Abuja, I'd appreciate it. Thank you. |
sooperrescue:Hello Sooper, are you in Abuja please? My in-law has a 2005 Range Rover (upgraded to 2012, I think?) that's recently being giving him over heating issues. Changed top gasket two weeks ago & that's also "burnt" now & he's at his wits end about what to do; the vehicle can be okay one moment (moves smoothly, no overheat) & the next moment, the transmission isn't responding then overheats and you've to park it. |
Nigeria is literally one massive crime scene; you can't even begin to fathom the depth of the crimes committed. |
I don't know how a vote for Dino is a "vote for suicide" however, if a dancing Senator now a dancing governor (a man many including myself, considered a joke of a politician) could be making a difference in Osun, it may just be that Dino who's renowned for his flamboyant displays of wealth, may also make a difference in the lives of Kogites. Moreover, what are the antecedents of the man GYB is propping as his successor? Tareq1105: |
I want SDM to win not only for the fact that I'm Okun just like him but so that GYB will learn that what's sauce for the goose is also sauce for the gander. For years, Okun & Ebiras complained bitterly about the politics of subjugation the Igala elite were playing in Kogi yet when an Ebira (Yahaya Bello) got to Govt House, served two terms & on the verge of leaving office, wants a fellow Ebira to succeed him; same thing the Igalas were doing. Anyways, the Kogi voters will decide their fate come November & I hope they choose Dino as their next governor. |
Very good marketing/publicity strategy there by Jumia Foods (I presume). |
Zero scruples, anywhere belle face politicians. |
