I see a few commentators saying Otedola also ought to have been jailed but that's twisting facts. If those particular commentators followed the news back then, it was clearly stated that the whole Farouk Lawan subsidy probe bribe was a sting operation; then Reps Member Lawan who was chair of the committee probing fuel subsidy fraud at the time attempted to shake down Otedola & others but the former decided to inform the security agencies which advised him to play along. It's almost like the disgraced "super cop", Abba Kyari's matter with an NDLEA operative during a sting operation where he was captured on tape admitting to several acts contravening the law; while the former SARS boss was incarcerated, the NDLEA operative wasn't because it was a sanctioned operation just like Otedola's. |
Lol. Nigeria is the more you look, the less you understand. Comrade Joe Ajaero could be very well treated here in Nigeria (if not at public funded specialist or university teaching hospitals, at any private hospital of his choice) but of course, estacode & an opportunity to go and chill abroad on NLC purse won't allow him accept to be treated locally. What's more, how else would the NLC national president impress it on Nigerians on the severity or otherwise of the "beatings" he received if he doesn't embark on foreign treatment? Nonetheless, whether he receives local or foreign medical treatment, he would learn next time not to meddle in politics; very partisan somebody hiding under the umbrella of organized labour to support LP & its candidate. |
The details are in fine print especially point number 7. David Hundeyin knew his audience & was just stringing them along until this anti-climax. Seeing how far the Tinubu matter has gone in the U.S he couldn't in good conscience accuse the USDOJ of complicity in any cover ups. Ttalk: |
Atiku made some valid points but also contradicted himself & that's the irony of the man; someone who always wants to eat his cake & have it. If Waziri Atiku actually believed in some of the very good points he raised, he should first of all never have contested the 2023 presidential elections; this man attempted to succeed a fellow Fulani who had already spent 8yrs in office. God knows that if the former VP had withdrawn from the race & supported Peter Obi (for instance) to gun for the Presidency, a thousand Tinubu+INEC wouldn't have been able to stop what would've been an early resounding victory at the polls. However, Atiku being a clever man by half not only jeopardized his own chances, he ruined the Southeast & by extension, many young Nigerians' dreams of having a President that they could try call their own. Nonetheless, Atiku can still match words with action by ensuring that come 2027, he supports his party (PDP) to identify, elect (at a presidential primary devoid of money politics) & present for presidential election, a candidate - who has good temperament, is credible, reliable, economically & politically sound, not a religious extremist, patriotic & has a nationalistic view etc - of Southeast extraction to run for office. If he can do that, he would've truly established himself as a patriot & nationalist! |
I've experienced this & it's an exaggeration to claim it adds an extra hour to scheduled trips; the entire process takes +/- 5 minutes. Secondly, this was common practice in most parts of the North (prior to 2015 & still in force till date in some parts of the North) & ICIR didn't do a report on it & if they did, I didn't see it; let's not reinforce this "victim mentality". While it's uncomfortable making people to disembark/embark from their vehicles while approaching military check points, most reasonable people know this only happens in hotspots (and we can't deny the Southeast isn't one of the hottest spots at the moment in Nigeria). You want to stop disembarking from your vehicles at military check points, stop killing yourselves and other security agents just because you want to pass a "message" to the government; the Northeast/Northwest toed the same foolish path in the North just because they despised GEJ; today, they've been dispersed in their millions, turned to refugees in their own countries & other neighboring countries, their homes & livelihoods destroyed etc yet, the man they aimed to spite is flourishing & living a peaceful & prosperous life! |
PBAT is carrying on like someone who doesn't care about public perception of his political appointments since May 29, 2023 & that's rather unfortunate. When then PMB was busy appointing his kinsmen up & down into most of the positions available, I thought he was wrong for doing so but it didn't bother me as much as what's currently going on. PBAT's appointments so far in terms of geo-political spread make my stomach churn; it's even more tragic when you realize he's only spent 5 months out of a possible 48 & has probably made only < 10% of appointments that he has powers to make as President. |
Gbagyi/Koro people who are the original inhabitants/land owners of Abuja didn't complain about a Southern Christian becoming FCT minister but one North-western cleric who has no direct ancestry to Abuja is busy threatening fire and brimstone. |
Fuckingmallam45:Okay. |
ST is actually smarter than this & not tone deaf more reason I'm surprised he used one of the Presidential Jets to travel to Kano with his friends. One, he has the money to hire a PJ to travel to anywhere in Nigeria if he wanted. Two, his father, before becoming President owned & maintained an executive PJ; what happened to using that particular aircraft instead of the one paid for & maintained by hardworking & tax paying Nigerians? This is indefensible & a slap on the faces of millions of Nigerians who are going through perhaps the roughest times of their lives. Let the poor breathe please!! |
Much as I don't like dialogue or amnesty for people who kidnap for ransom, maim & kill just for the fun of it, any genuine steps to bring succor to the communities where these bandits are most active is welcome. However, as they say that what's sauce for the Goose is sauce for the Gander, it's a no-brainer that Nnamdi Kanu should also be released unconditionally and allowed to go about his lawful activities either here in Nigeria or whichever part of the world he chooses; man may have encouraged his followers to carry out unlawful acts against Nigeria but he hasn't done anything that these bandits haven't done & more, yet, they're getting a seat at the bargaining table. |
The Nigerian Government failed & is still failing Leah Sharibu and many others like her. |
Maybe it's weird coz she was driving a "big SUV", whatever that means. Anyways, people are going through difficult times this season & if we (in our individual capacities) can render help without a significant impact on our own financial plans, let's do. The other day this man walked up to me at the filling station (that first one immediately after city gate if you're coming from Central area) that I should help him with money to buy fuel. According to him, his destination was Kuje & he didn't have enough fuel in his car to continue the journey; it was a Saturday, I think & he was coming from course. Showed his staff ID indicating he works with Nigerian Correctional Service. I gave him N1,000 with an apology that I couldn't help him with more. I also found it weird because I thought he should've picked passengers along the way to gather some money - even if it's just enough to buy fuel - but hey, it's what it is. |
With the type of new impetus this Hon. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is giving to the Interior Ministry, I sometimes wonder if he shouldn't just have been left at his initial posting - Marine & Blue Economy Ministry - where we would've started seeing & feeling (if what he's currently doing at the Interior Ministry is anything to go by) the impact of his diligence and capacity by now. The Blue Economy Ministry as headed by Alh. Oyetola still appears to in deep slumber & time is of the essence. |
I read this write up from beginning to end & I couldn't make any sense of what the author was trying to say aside rigmaroling, turning in circles & then landing somewhere I don't know. Anyways, God is the one true & faithful Judge & only He - on the last day - will judge us all according to our works. |
If it's barbecued pork like how my Uyo folks do it, then it's pork; followed by suya then asun in that order. |
Lol. "Even people for government..." One thing is for sure, Naija celebs will milk this guy's demise in a bid to remain relevant. It's well. May the young lad continue to RIP. |
The Augusta Choppers are already en route Nigeria; the others especially the ATAK & Viper helicopters excite me the most. PMB will forever go down in history as the one Nigerian leader that transformed the hardware inventory of Nigeria's Armed Forces more than any other. Did the Armed Forces under his command judiciously utilize these hardwares? Posterity will be the judge of that. |
18,000 result sheets haven't been uploaded just goes to show how unserious & unprepared LP was for the 2023 presidential election. In other words, LP didn't have polling unit agents at all the PUs across the country but most importantly, this 18,000 result sheets the party is crying over is a confirmation the party didn't have agents stationed in at least 18,000 PUs because if they did, they won't be waiting for it to be uploaded on iRev; they'd simply tally their total votes based on copies of the result sheets sent in by their agents from all the PUs nationwide. Then, let's even assume they've everything, Atiku of PDP also claimed that he won so what does that mean? Three people claiming they won but INEC declared one (Tinubu) winner yet, the other two so far haven't been able to convincingly show how they won or how many votes they scored that wasn't taken into account or was suppressed by INEC. If you say you won, you won't base your case mostly on certificate (Tinubu's Chicago State University brouhaha), Tinubu's alleged dual citizenship, Shettima's double nomination, alleged drug money forfeiture & 25% in FCT; you'd base it on numbers & like they say, the numbers never lie! |
Was making some sense about the police picking up everyone involved & carrying out a thorough investigation till he started issuing threats, naming ST the "face of Nigerian youths" & whatnot. Mohbad deserves Justice. The police MUST do an impartial job of investigating the circumstances leading to the late singer's demise & finally, Marlian Music should pay up all royalties that accrued to Mohbad. |
These are supposed to be basic dividends of democracy but Ikpeazu & T.A Orji before him spent a combined 16yrs doing only God knows what. May Gov. Alex Otti's tenure bring widespread development and progress to Abia; the people there deserve nothing less. |
PDP murdered sleep and by PDP I mean Atiku, Tambuwal, Amaechi, Saraki, Dino, Kwankwaso and every other political bigwig who dumped the party in the buildup to the 2015 general elections for APC but later returned to the party before 2015 just to grab tickets to contest in the 2019 general elections; they shouldn't expect any rest. Whatever insult and threats Wike issues them now & in the future, they earned it as they did worse to the then sitting President - Dr. Goodluck Jonathan. PDP can explode to smithereens for all I care; LP, APGA, NNPP, YPP and other political parties are on the fringes waiting to feed off the carcas of whatever remains of the once "largest political party in Africa". |
If anyone has been to or had any official business at NIRSAL MFB's headquarters in Wuse they'd know that place is a cesspool of corruption; see many of their staff flaunting the latest iPhones, donning expensive jewelry, etc and that's on the surface. If the anti-corruption agencies dig a little bit deeper, they'd find some of their (NIRSAL MFB) staff owning multi-million naira properties, kids schooling abroad (before you fault this, ask yourself how many parents in the public sector earning a legitimate pay are able to afford foreign education for their kids), suspicious lodgements into company accounts linked to top management staff etc On an unrelated note, when will they look into the Nigerian Navy especially every officer (serving and retired) who at one time or the other in their careers were FOCs (Eastern and Western Commands esp) as well as serving and former commanders of NNS (particularly NNS Delta)? |
I love the fact that someone is about to be charged to court for cyber stalking & defamation among others but was it necessary to "parade" the accused person like a common criminal? It's even more embarrassing when you consider the fact this (parade) was done by none other than the Force PRO! The NPF must do better and learn to treat all citizens equally irrespective of status after all we didn't see the NPF headquarters parade Elisha Abbo - a sitting Senator - before the press for physical and verbal assault of a woman conducting her legal business in her shop. |
If you've ever had cause to deal with officials of Nigeria's federal Ministries, you'd know that those directors, desk officers, file movers (those staff that acknowledge and enter letters on behalf of their bosses) are the major players; between them, they can frustrate anyone or make your mission a success depending on how well you know how to speak their language. Ministers who don't know what they're doing will usually be used as pawns by these crooked civil servants |
Apparently, AriseTV are riding on the back of Rufai Oseni's popularity among Obidients reason his frequent unprofessionalism on air hasn't been sanctioned by his employers. I can't imagine why during live broadcasts - while his colleagues are focused on the job - Mr. Oseni will be busy pressing/checking his phone; so many times he does this. He's also the only one who openly places his phone on the desk right in front of him, I mean, who else does that? Well, it's said that when you mount a Tiger's back, keep riding on because the moment you disembark, you become food for the Tiger. Rufai Oseni is AriseTV's Tiger, they can't afford to disembark now because if they do, they know the level of trolling and negative publicity that'll be unleashed on them by the "headless mob". |
This is impressive. Kudos to the administration of Prof. Charles Soludo. With dwindling revenue, heightened insecurity and environmental challenges, he has done far better in < year what one man spent 8 years doing in the same state with investments in alcoholic beverage and savings in bank where he has substantial interests as his major achievements. |
You're correct; two wrongs don't make a right. However, what's sauce for the Goose should also be sauce for the Gander (in this instance, the blame lies squarely at Mr. Rufai Oseni's feet for not moderating the session fairly). I bet had it been Seun Okinbaloye, he would have reminded Mr. Ezike that they were on live TV therefore should watch his utterances against the Judges. Ditto for Mr. Jesutega. IfnobeGod20: |
This your story is a bit funny; she has demonstrated love to you & shown qualities you've never seen in any woman you dated before but her past (which she trusted you enough to share with you) is what's bothering you? If you were looking for a saint you shouldn't have bothered dating a lady with a history of failed relationships in the first place. Yes, you may not have known her body count before the conversation came up but please tell, if she'd only dated two, three or four men before she met you would it have mattered? I get the feeling you're not genuinely into her in the first instance perhaps she came into your life at a trying period & now that you're over that phase, she's of no use to you; I'd strongly advise you to respectfully break up with her before it's too late instead of constantly using her past against her. Meanwhile, you did write something about her being a "...lover and mother". Does she have a child or children by you or from one of her past failed relationships? If the former, please find a way to make your relationship with her work otherwise you'd be exposing your child/children to different male figures that'll be coming into their lives. |
I was streaming this particular interview live until Airtel decided to be unfortunate so I missed this particular scene. Nonetheless, the trio of Mr. Oseni, Mrs. Ayo & Dr. Abati watched their studio guest (Mr. Ezike, an experienced & long-standing member of the legal profession) accuse the PEPT judges of what he labeled "computer judgment" (aka AI generated judgment) without batting an eyelid. It's no problem that AriseTV is a media arm of the PDP with Rufai Oseni an unapologetic Obidients but if they can sit down with a lawyer who questioned the integrity of the PEPT judges without asking the man to retract his words, then they've absolutely no right to ask another man (who's also a lawyer, anyways) to take back his own words. |
Why did you "tame" your wife for life or rather, why did you think it was a good thing for you to tame your own wife for life? I think that's where you should start from; was she "wild" before marriage & only "pretended" to be tamed just to satisfy your ego of successfully taming a woman only for her true colors to show up now after two sons? Secondly, why do you make the money you paid for CS seem like you did her and your child a huge favour? The alternative would've been letting both your wife and unborn child die if the surgery hadn't been done; would that have made you happy? I don't have the details of what goes on in your home; how your wife behaves, how you also behave and other factors that are leading you to contemplate "divorce" but if I were to assess your temperament or attitude towards your wife and marriage based on what you wrote, you seem like a well-to-do individual with a very big ego and get a kick off people kowtowing to you just because you play an important role in their life - this time a role as husband which you willingly and lovingly took a vow for before God and men. Abi, dem force you to marry your wife? Kindly find middle grounds with your wife; try to understand where she's coming from or what may've led to her sudden change in attitude before you start entertaining divorce thoughts in your head. After all, you didn't take a wheel spanner and smash your vehicle windscreen in anger every time it developed a mechanical or electrical fault: what you did instead was try to find out (through your mechanic/ auto electrician) what the problem was & solve it. |
Much as Baba Obasanjo spoke a lot of hard truths in this interview, I couldn't help but notice how he refused to take responsibility or accept any blame for the failures of his government; if he wasn't passing the buck to his then Minister for giving an approval for a project far above his limits, he was blaming the late President Yar'adua for reversing his administration's privatisation of some of our refineries and then President Jonathan for not properly privatizing the power sector. |
I mean, would've loved to lap this up & bask in the euphoria of PO's academic b/ground being called to question but I thought the "Peter Odili was my headboy" matter had long been laid to rest? Also, the fact he submitted his O'levels instead of Philosophy degree certificate to INEC shouldn't raise any eyebrows & more importantly, was in consonance with the Constitution. Much as Reno enjoys breaking coconut on the heads of those rabid supporters of PO, it'd be great if he just stuck to the issues. |
