Henix:The ship was traveling from China to Netherlands. |
yinkus6750:They said VP Osibanjonis a senior pastor at RCCG. I don't know if that's true. |
We lack maintenance culture in Nigeria. If universities, skyscrapers built in 1900 are still standing in the western countries. Why shouldn't tinapa still be in a tip top shape. Tinapa is not upto 20 years old. |
MrGoood:The bolded is a wrong belief of us living in Nigeria. Someone doing a project in Nigeria or spending money on a ceremony in Nigeria while they are based abroad does not equate surplus funds. The lady's mother probably had a life insurance and she dipped her hand their for the burial. It could be she took out a loan... it could also be she went out of her pocket but the vast majority of folks doing project in 9ja. If the total value of the project is 12m, it doesn't mean they have 48m sitting around. They probably robbed Peter to pay Paul to get the project accomplished. |
Abeg is she hiring? 90k a month ![]() |
Obj had a chance to make Nigeria the greatest country in Africa as a president in 1999 but he chose political paybacks and retribution. Happy birthday to him tho but he is not a legend |

Always bending the rules to make one of their own richer smh.. Please don't quote me, I am not feeling fine
|
lilvicky68:Don't be surprised if Don Jazzy already have a family. ![]() All these houses he buys, who lives in all of them? I don't know him personally but I know one of my friends, a real agbaya you wouldn't even know he is married talk more of having kids... because he was a bit popular.. he wanted his family out of the spot light.. they live in separate houses. |
The police should have had him take his cloths off down to his boxers just like other individuals in police custody. ![]() I bet you he was not even processed , they just gave him a stool to sit in front of the police station, he should have been behind the counter ![]() These might sound funny but this is how the police treat everyone else, why should he be treated differently? |
bmcariyo: . I was being generous ![]() But I will suggest you take your cut plus bank charges for the transfer and give him the rest. I was having a beer parlor conversation with my men them.. the general consensus was take all the money , let him sweat bullet ![]() But I don't agree with that. |
bmcariyo:As a Christian, I don't take what does not belong to me. I will just take my 4m and send him the rest. I will also deduct any charges the bank will charge me from his money before I send it back. If you want to be petty, refund him 250k every week until the 13.5m is complete. Even if he carry you go court, he will not win.. because you did not refuse to return his money..you agreed and you are refunding it ![]() |
The dog looks like she want no part of whatever this guy is doing ![]() |
valencia2012:Very well said.. I had in mind of adding that to my initial post but wanted to have the thought marinate in my mind well before someone label me as fraud. |
In as much as we have bad people around us, let's take it easy with all this fraud fraud stuff. Accusation of Fraud in business is a big stain to wash away. In as much as a client want to guide their investment jealously, remember that the contractor, artisans etc are trying to guide their means of livelihood jealously. The last 2 fraud this and that here does not fit the bill in my opinion. In a sane court system, there is a good chance both cases will likely to be dismissed outright. I hope we don't get to the point of someone coming in here to say, ehn.. I reached out to xyz contractor for a job he advertised here, he didn't get back to me, I sent him text, what's app, no response.. don't patronize him/her he is a fraud. Or a contractor coming in to say, ehn this client agreed to mobilize me with 100k to start the job, he only sent me 97k, he is a fraud. Again, when you invest in 9ja especially in building a house, all those oyibo mindset is out of the window.. I can understand the frustration of the client (michlins client).. but na 9ja we dey... measurements are not always what you think they are on the building plan and my guess is the client does not live in Nigeria full time.. Oga , na 9ja we dey oo ... it is very frustrating building from abroad especially if it is your first build. I know folks that frustration made them abandon their projects. |
Wahala no dey finish oo ![]() It's all good michilins, that's life for you. You gotta have a thick skin. From the chats I have seen here, it is obvious what the alumaco guy wanted to do. Maybe he have a partner in crime that he would have preferred to partner with on the job but the oga based on the recommendation of his confidant gave you the job and he is not happy about that. This is similar cut throat culture folks see in corporate jobs. BACKSTABBING. But my firm believe is, in whatever you do always protect your integrity.. just like you said your name is more important to you. Igbos will say, Eziafa ka ego ( good name is better than money). Be content, don't spoil your name for wealth and victory is certain! |
rotecch77:What is maintenance like in this water filtration units? |
rotecch77:If someone already has borehole, tank stand etc.. What would be the approximate cost to install this water filtration equipment? |
benjamin007:What part of the country do you reside to have a snake this big visit your compound? Just asking, no harm intended. |
rotecch77:Considering the cost of the project at 2.5m and the quality of work you have shown us here.. I know I am not the only one thinking.. shìt I wouldnt mind living in a building like this ![]() |
I really don't like mourinho's tactics whenever he meets Guardiola, he gives up possession and relies on counter attacks. As a player, that will wear you out. You are chasing the game from the first whistle. |
valencia2012:Seconded!! |
n3xt:I am on the fence on the BVN issue. But on the other one, yes contractor should create a thread and update for transparency. |
somehow:It wouldn't shock me I tried to get to the bottom of it but n3xt say let's move on.I move not because I don't have mb or my battery is low, this is weekend and I do have time for Yada Yada, back and forth posting but admire his tenacity and effort to fix this issue. I would have preferred this all happened in kobocity not here in nairaland. He deserved the accolades. The lawyer guy on nairaland might show up in 2030 threatening a lawsuit ![]() |
n3xt:Ok, as long as everyone is happy at last. We move ![]() |
Cribking1:Hang on a minute.. not so fast. Did you know about the fracas in the area? Did the contractor inform you on the difficulty getting to your site because of the fracas? You said in a previous post that you had a communication with him by 10am? |
somehow:Very good point of view. But a fraudster would need even less than 24hrs to do their damage. I heard a story of a contractor that was leaving the country to husssle, he was even at the airport when he accepted a deposit for a job he knew he will not complete.. things dey happen.. We haven't heard from the contractor to ascertain what happened, his own side of the story. But if the client was on ground, spoke to the contractor about 10 am, and having knowledge of the fracas around the area, he should have been reasonable since he knew e dey hot for area. But n3xt have been in communication with the contractor, that means he was somewhat reachable even with the fracas.. did he send a text to the client? Facebook etc. I will await until both sides are debriefed. |
Enyinne:I completely understand your point of view.. Not to defend anyone here but do I fault a client whose millions is on the line, not hearing from a contractor for hrs? How long is a piece of string? The bottom line is please communicate with your clients, this is probably a logistics issue with the contractor having no intention to defraud the client but with the no communication, everything else happening around us, it might appear so |
n3xt:Well done!! |
Here we go again, I have been writing about this time after time.. Communication communication communication.. people won't listen , until the worst happens and they will cry had I known. If you are dealing with someone for a business with that much money involved, any amount of money as a matter of fact.. why don't you communicate to the person if you are having difficulty with any part of the project? This roofing issue could have been the delivery driver disappointed him or something of that nature, he can't carry the roofing sheet on his head to the clients site.. why not communicate?? Send text, email, what's app etc. Facebook, Instagram. For everyone reading this , few weeks ago, we all laughed about a post of passenger throwing blows with an Okada man because of 100 naira change.. Think about this for a minute, if someone is ready to put their life on the line and ready to inflict injury on another person for 100 naira, what do you think people could do for millions of naira?? This nonsense is innate in our mentality as 9jirians, Africans. You have an appointment with someone, they possibly forget, you call them up after waiting for hours, they tell you they are in traffic jam... I am thinking, did you just realize you are in traffic jam?? Or they tell you they are on their way, when they just woke up from bed. We all understand, shít happen, in as much as we want to do a good business, we all have families etc and are dealing with whatever else life is throwing at us which might affect our ability to finish up a job, or stay through to our commitment.. what happened to telling your client, hey, my kid got flu, I am taking them him/her to the hospital etc. Or Car broke down enroute to the site, held up by police etc Client might be mad but hey.. it is what it is.. the client will understand But please do not wait until the client boils up like this guy here before you start talking.. |
lukkens:Boy o boy, all this new group forming here and there .... Maybe I should form mine.. LSNBA ( Lagos state Nairalander builders Association) development fee. My fee will be N5m, whether you are building a self contain, 2 bedrooms, duplex.. flat fee ![]() Na joke I dey oo. ![]() |
elohim24:I agree . If anyone is close to nollywood and knows the inside and out.. you will know this actors/actresses don't make that much money in a movie but they post up new houses, cars etc. Not saying that Destiny or other actress use clitocurrency to acquire their wealth. Some of them do have legitimate side hussle and get free gifts from rich folks/ government officials. Soon, government of her state might appoint her SA of something.. the salary from there.. the government connection.. she might get a contract or some polticial favor using the SA position. They should stop flaunting all these wealth online creating a false impression that Nollywood is profitable which it is not. They don't get paid that much !! |
