I hv a question for you....by the special grace of God, im well to do guy (financially OK but not rich)... my family introduced me to 27 or 28 yo girl for marriage - the girl is "ready" but unfortunately is from a very poor background..... i am not comfortable with it because i feel she wants to use me as a Poverty Alleviation Scheme but also i feel i will hv a lot to rehabilitate.... Marriage isnt fun for guys....to take those 2 burdens, whats the gain for me!!

It is true and tbh, if i am to become single today due to any factor (be it death of wifey(God forbid) or infidelity or she just decides to leave because she is tired of the marriage), whatever the reason may be, bro, i am categorically telling you i will stay far away from marriage.

maybe you have to change where you're looking at, or asking the wrong people out.. anyways, do not be desperate for marriage as a man, na woman dey always dey desperate to marry not a man... If a lady knows you're desperate to get married, she will use it against you especially if you are high-value or have the resources available for it... in fact, if you're talking to a lady, don't tell her you actually plan to settle down with her or planning to marry her... let her play herself out to you first, then you'll actually get to know who she is.. then you'll know the next move to take... in chess, as in life, make your move carefully...

Also there is a reason why girls do not want to get married until 28-30... the reason is that they always believe a better guy will come until they start to see significant changes in their body + dwindling attention which makes them get desperate in late 20s....

so the 22 year old is almost hard to settle down with since she is in her prime and is receiving attention left right and center. I hv known 23 yo girls on the brink of marriage call of their weddings because they expect a better guy to come...... most keep expecting a better guy until they get old.....
