Transcript

VO: Why are you going to the US?
F2 applicant: I’d like to go spend some time with my spouse, who is starting a PhD in ____ at ______ University.

VO: (cuts conversation off) How long have you been married?
F2 applicant: Today makes it 4 months we’ve been married. We’ve been together for 5 years.

VO: When did you meet?
F2 applicant: We met in 2019, we were in final year in school.

VO: (Proceeds to have a long conversation with two other VOs)
How long would you be there for?
F2 applicant: A month so I can return to my ……

VO: So why aren’t you applying for a visiting visa B1 B2
F2 applicant: I applied for F2 since my husband holds an F1…..

V.O: (Cuts conversation off while typing and focusing on her screen)…Since you’d spent a month, why are you not applying for a visiting visa? How am I supposed to believe you’d return?
F2 applicant: I have a growing career and a business to return to. We recently acquired a piece of land to start building our future home. I will be supervising the building project, and I have the land documents here….

V.O: I don’t need to see that (continues typing). What do you do? How much do you make?
F2 applicant: I tell how much I make and what I do. Then, proceed to say, we’re a really young couple, and I’d like to spend my next annual leave in January with my husband.

V.O: I’m sorry you do not qualify (hands blue paper).

I'd really appreciate any help on how to proceed in the future.

Where is @OyoTunjiUSA?. I am honestly not done with him until sanity is restored on this thread and people can gain relevant information from this thread as it has always been. I am guessing he went into hibernation until everyone has forgotten and move on and then he will come back to his notorious ways or he will probably change his username again and continue peddling misinformation.

14 years with a PhD, never worked a day in academia and it was the best decision I ever made. Do you live in the United States? There are tons of Phds working in the chemical and pharmaceutical industry.

Hello JohnZak, thank you for the insightful information. I have a couple of questions. Do I have to be currently enrolled in a school for me to renew my F1visa? I graduated last year and on OPT. I intend to start a new semester in fall. Is there a long queue before getting an interview date and what could be grounds for refusal? Need to say, I already have my canadian visit visa.

Lecturers and students deserve to be denied visas because they abuse the educational route to run from the country.

While politicians should be approved visas so they can learn from other countries how to use our little resources to our advantage.

Hi Fam, I need your help here. I got only 5k Schlarship out of 54k with living expenses, I emailed the school for clarification regarding the 5k scholarship and they confirmed that the total is 5k, even tho I am ready to pay out of pocket, should I still push them for more or I should just go ahead and pay out of pocket. Your opinion would be much appreciated here. Thanks

I am currently at Lapour hotel and their service Water finished while I was bathing today and it wasn't funny, soap foam was over my body ... I called them but they didn't respond until after 20 minutes after I had use cold bottled water to finish my bath ��������. Their WiFi isn't working too and I paid 15k/ night. I came here because of your recommendation.

SNHU? Don't use that school. Apply to another school. It's known as an online school so how will you convince the VO that you can't just do the course online instead

For going to the US yourself, your level of knowledge and how you see life and your field has been influenced and expanded, and enriched.
If you are to return to Nigeria after studies for work, you will certainly have some edge over those who never left. What did that tell us? There are certainly Americans that can fill those H1B jobs, but an organization that really wants to expand its scope and influence, and not shrink, but compete in a world that INNOVATIVE IDEAS rule, will NEVER limit its workforce to its country of origin -- or it will suffer a lot of disadvantages. This is why it will be IMPOSSIBLE for Trump to permanently ban H1B visa! He cannot succeed in this area, because any attempt to stop foreign workers from coming to the US to work in those organizations will limit their ability to tap into diverse minds, from different countries, for such organization enrichment. This is how it works!

After the covid-19 is over, US might not be a place to go for now. Because everything is upside down. Unemployment hit the highest number in decades. A lot still going to lose jobs after September

How is everyone doing in this covid-19 pandemic period? Schools and every training suspended indefinitely. If the situation continues this way, soon, schools in NYS will be graduating their senior healthcare students (MD, DO, PA, NP, RN, Pharm) earlier than usual to join the fight.

Social distancing and good hygiene, that's all you can do for now to be safe.

EB3 , H1B, E34 , EW4 etc are not reliable any longer. There’s already a bill in the house on how to handle all these ; definitely the rules will be more tighter than before . Even the marriage route , there’s also new rules coming .

I went to my bank with my sponsor today to fin out what was going on regarding the verification because I felt the embassy must have sent an email for verification.

After so many calls and waiting for hours they said my details, sponsors details were not on their system and no email has been sent for verification.

Chai!!! I felt hopeless �

At least I now know the issue is with the embassy.
My school has given me an extension till month end.

Then the conversion rate I have told myself if I no buy food na hunger go finish me. Just close eye buy wetin you wan buy.
About POE, experiences vary. In my case, my passport was stamped admitted and just few moments after the CBP officer cancelled it and directed me to another room for more questioning. I missed my flight after this, and so I had to rebook my remaining flights. It wasn't funny. I got in 5 hours later than my previous ETA.
So for others coming in, just expect anything, but be your confident self and I believe it would go well with y'all!
