Just remember when GEJ left office it was N250 to 1£. We have basically witnessed %400 depreciation of the Niara under APC, and people still voted for these croocks at the last election! Na Wa! I hope all those Yoruba's, Fulani and Haussa that voted APC are buying currency, fuel and foodstuffs at diffrent rates than the rest of us! |
The fact that people have to be forced to obey the so called sit at home, is clear proof that it dies not have popular support. |
Wole Soyinka is a Yoruba bigot. I hope the Fulani of Ilorin show him red hot pepper. A man who did not say a word when APC thugs were injuring and killing people all over the SW, just because they wanted to vote for others. A man who has kept quite, while a convicted drug dealer, with false history sits in the highest office in the land. Soyinka dose not see anything wrong with all this. He only finds his voice when it's time to attack the North. Shameless hypocrite |
Until Nigerians change their mindset, they will continue to suffer sadly. How can any educated person really expect to have a life in Nigeria on fixed salary, when inflation is so rampant? How can you survive? Unless you are earning mega wages, with above inflation pay rise part of your contract, then it's a waste of time doing any kind of salary job. You are better off being self employed. If it's only 10 hectares you farm each year, with a good mix of crops, you'll do much better than 75K a month. The problem is everybody wants to be in the office. Continue, the poverty coming for many of you under Tinubu no get definition for dictionary. |
Anybody who puts religious and/or ethnic considerations over merit is a total and complete slowpoke. Mr MURIC that is you I am talking to! |
And people wonder why we keep getting it wrong. Why a country with so much potential remains mired in poverty, insecurity and underdevelopment. How can a nation progress when key positions are not given allocated on merit, but on base considerations of ethnicity, religion..etc Why does every state in the nation need to provide a minister? That automatically means that some ministers will be in the cabinet, not because they are qualified, but simply because there has to be a minister from their state. It's quite wrong |
People should ask why the hotel shut down the event. Most likely it was due to noise and general unruly behavior. Just because you pay for to use a hotel hall, does not mean you are excused from their rules. Nigerians are a very indisciplined people who are quick to shout 'discrimination' when they are the ones who don't obey the rules and get punished. |
member13:Honestly those of us who come from abroad need to broaden our 'game horizon' beyond the usual Lagos, Abuja and PH. 2 years ago followed a friend to Benin City and Warri, had a great time with lots sexy babes, paying a fraction of what Lagos babes charge. In Warri, Benin, Uyo. you can stay in fine hotels and get good quality hoes for a reasonable price. Personally I never hunt in Lagos and Abuja again. The prices the babes quote na the same as Yankee babes! |
Males were never supposed to be with only female for life. Our Ancestors did not do it. No culture on this planet was monogamous historically. It was only when the European Christian Church woke up one fine day and suddenly said 'Men should only marry one wife' that this monogamy nonsense started. Let's go back to how we were supposed to live. One man with multiple wives. There will be no cheating then. |
If it was in Nigeria, they will be given the man national honor. He's people will be celebrating him to he high heavens. |
I actually agree with him. We need to start putting merit over ethnic and religious considerations is electing our leaders. What has zoning gained us as a people? Personally I don't care if we have muslim/muslim or christian/Christian or even North/North or South/South, what I want is competent law abiding leadership! |
Without a doubt the most useless person to ever hold high office in our history. Zero impact on the direction of govt. Zero impact on protecting his people or their interests. Speaking big grammer from morning to night. A total waste of space |
Total failure Brainless dullard History will record him as the WORST president ever. |
Thus one is between Yoruba and their Fulani masters. The rest of us will get popcorn and be watching. |
With each rejection, your job gets closer |
My stand on this is simple, NO to zoning. Have people not suffered enough? When will we start to favour competence and merit, ove ethnicity? I've got no problem whatsoever if the next Edo governor is Esan, but it should be because he/she is the best for the job, not because it was zoned to them. Delta state has been doing zoning, how has it benefited them? The state is a mess despite its massive wealth. Please let us evolve our thinking. |
Alpha Beta loading!! |
they should go and shop in the APC only stores where goods are not expensive |
tundein18:Dont' deflect. The issue here is Soyinka, if you have nothing to defend him on (and I am guessing you do not, as the case agaisnt him is crystal clear) then just move on |
Utter Nonsense! When MC Olumo and his thugs were committing ethnic cleansing during the elections Soyinka kept quiet. When the new Speaker of the Lagos House of Assembly promised to introduce discriminatory laws in Lagos Soyinka kept quiet When petrol subsidy was removed, causing untold hardship for the masses Soyinka kept quiet(He made noise when GEJ did the same) But know a Youruba festival is forced to cancel and he suddenly finds his voice. Soyinka has shown himself to be a total Yoruba bigot. He only speaks when he thinks Yoruba interests are at stake . He's lost the respect of many Nigerians. Shame! |
A horrible murder was committed, the person who did it was trialed and sentenced. In Nigeria a lady was burnt to death, the person who did it publicly said he did it, even showed the box of matches he used. What has been done to him? Nothing. Nigeria is a lawless jungle. I'll take my chances in the UK anyday over Nigeria |
Is the National assembly subservient to APAC? |
Meanwhile Lagos state govt is looking to introduce laws to discriminate against non Yoruba. Shame |
mokwechineme:I think part of the problem we have in this country is the failure of different tiers of govt to carry out their responsibilities. Refuse collection for example is a responsibility of local councils not the state govt, but we all blame the governors when towns are dirty and full of uncollected refuse. Do remember that the LG's are now fully autonomous. I agree though the gov can call them out publicly for failing in their duties. |
She should get her Yoruba friends to take her to where they buy cheap tomatoes |
Successlane:All na job nau! |
Christistruth03:Runs girls provide a vital economic service. They help to keep marriages in place by providing an outlet for men's urges and they also provide a means of wealth transfer from rich men to their poor friends and relatives |
Christistruth03:She can do runs girl work for the next 3 years nau. By the time she gets ito uni she'll be a big gal on campus ![]() |
dontiky:Then why do we see all the repots about extreme poverty in the North from international bodies like the UN? |
This is a very valid question. The level of poverty in the North is already extreme. Not show how they'll cop with all these policies |
The midwest regon was the only region created by a democratic referendum. We are mainly of one common ancestary are strongly interlated by marriage and friendship. I am a Midwesterner/Bendlite/Edo. I don't know or acknowledge this south south nonsense that seeks to lump us with other minority groups in the Niger delta. |
