I hope you people can now see why it's so important that presidential candidates TURN UP FOR DEBATES. A candidate that can't come out and debate their plans for governance, is a candidate with no plan. Simple In future if you vote any candidate that did not bother to come and debate, na your toro be that. |
Guy, The first and most important advice I can give you is Be Honest with yourself. Only you know yourself. Only you know what you can handle and can't handle. Even your wife, can never you as well as you know yourself. Are you the kind of person that can remain in a hostile situation while planning an escape? Some can, some can't Are you a sensitive person who's mental health can be affected by a hostile situation? Some are, some are not. You need to asses who you are and act to your strengths and protect your weakness. Everybody telling you 'Do this, Do that' are talking from their perspectives, not yours. |
He should buy petrol at the 'Yoruba only' filling stations, where they see at 190 per litre. You voted for a drug baron who has held Lagos in chains for 24 years, and now tou are crying!! Keep crying!! Nigerias will get sense by force |
Weather Edo is developed or not, rich or poor, is not the point. The simple point of 'Edo no be Lagos' is that in Edo state we will NEVER accept a situation where one drug baron dictates who should be our governor. Let Obaseki be a failure, its OK. Next year we vote in a new governor no wahala. That's democracy. We will never be as rich as Lagos, but at least we are free and have our self respect. |
This is a good move, but do we have sufficient gas in the market or we will we start to see long queues due to 'gas shortage' |
After Oshimole and Obaseki, one mandatory requirement for the next Edo Governor is that he or she must be good looking. I beg we need to give a good image to the rest of the nation, and let them think we all resemble gorilla for Edo state ![]() |
FuckSilly:Saudi and other oil producing countries are doing fine, becasue they also refine their crude oil(As we used to do) We sell the raw crude oil and then import the refined products at a much more exspensive cost. it's like you eport a barrel of Crude for $70 and then import a barrel of refiend PMS for $120, you can see how that is monkey economics. We are actually LOOSING money in the oil trade. This is the main reason why the Naira is under preassure. Please also note the only reason the country did not totally crash under Buhari is the man just kept borrowing to keep financing the deficit. Nigeira is effectivly broke, as it makes less than it spends |
It's economics 101 'Demand and Supply' Nigeria has high demand for FX becasue we import almost everything we consume, in addition to also needing FX for foriegn school fees and healthcare and refiend fuel products. Meanwhile our supply of FX continues to dwindle due the fact that our oil exports remain constrained by criminal diversions and also infrastrucre issues. Nigeria does not produce anything close to our OPEC quota of oil. Due to all this the Niara will continue to drift down, and inflation will continue to rise. A SERIOUS govt would do the follwoing: Declare a state of emergecny in the oil and gas sector. Intiate immediate trun around of the 4 refinairies, while arresting and trialing all those who have been responsable for the previous turnaround projects. Give a 12 month deadline for the 4 refinaires to be 100% operational. If Ukraine can keep it's refinairies working even after bombing from Russia, what excuse do we have Secondily, establish a taskforce, headed by a young untainted officer, to monitor our crude production from the oil wells to the loading bays. Implement all relevant modern technology and best practices to be control and reduce oil pillfering and theft. Again this can all be up and running within 12 months. These are the things a serious govt, that has the interests of the people at heart would do. Sadily we do not have such a govt, so the sufferinfg will continue. |
Kukutenla:He told you the plan during the campaign. It's 'Balablu'!! |
proeast:Louder for those at the back!! Yoruba tribalism is second to none. From Professor to Bus conductor na so them be |
KillMNKnow:Words on stone!! The African has darkness and wickedness deep in his soul. This is why we can't develop. How can governors sleep sound at night knowing that there are kids sitting on the floor in classes with no roof? Hospitals with no equipment? Yet nobody is bothered, nobody is enraged. The only hope for Africa is total recolonisation for at least 100 years |
Ogun, Olokun , Sango, all very old religoins, its totally right and proper that they are celebrated, howeer it should not be at the FG level. Indivdual states where these trado religons are practiced can and should declare holidays as they see fit. As an Edo man, that means we go get holiday tire! ![]() |
Jozibrainz99:The main reason? You mean the ONLY reason!! |
These are loans for SMEs and the vast majority are in the south. The Kano governor does not complain when the VAT generated grom these companies in the South, us shared to the North. If he wants equity, it should be across the board. Let all states keep the VAT they generate. |
I've never been a Tinubu supporter, but he's winning me over. We Binis love respect and tradition. Tinubu has gained great credit amongst the Binis with this gesture |
TOPMAN4LIFE:Believe what you want. If that makes you sleep well at night, no Wahala. Facts are facts. |
No true Edo person will tell you the Oba does not travel. Some younger excitable Edo's may have said that but its not true. During the height if the Bini kingdom, the Oba travel regularly across his realm. What the Oba does NOT do is travel anyhow. For example when the Sultan lead traditional rulers to congratulate Tinubu, the Oba did not attend, that would be taboo. He has now gone in his own right with senior Edo chiefs and rulers. Thus is HIS visit, not part of some delegation. |
crossfm:I totally agree. Not just ATR, but also states can declare holidays to celebrate important historical events. This is the way our traditions and history will live on for generation to come |
jmoore:I am sorry but commonsense would state that this would not work. Think about it The man is in Finland, he gives sit at home orders, and loads of armed men across the SE enforce those orders. That means there is a command and control structure in place between Ekpa and the guys on the ground. if you eliminate Ekpa, somebody else will simply take the position and continue to give the orders. The only way to solve this is with an unrelaning, vicous crackdown on the gunmen on ground. |
Gerrard59:This is my point, people need to be bold. A Nigerian living aborad will travel to countries he's never been to before for work or holiday, why can't you do the same within Nigeria? Just fly into a city like Uyo get an uber to a top hotel. Do your research before hand on the best night spots....we need to stop being afraid of places we've not grown up in. I know make it a point to visit diffrent states anytime I go to Nigeria. Trust me, there is sooooo much fun at very resonable prices to be had around the country |
I really do not like Tinubu However I totally respect him as a political operative. The man is always thinking many steps ahead. He knows APC is weak in the SS, so he's looking to solidify his position there. With Wike and Ibori on side, he will be in a very strong position in that region. Others could learn a lot from him in strategic planning |
Electorate:I don't understand your anger. This is very normal in Europe. In Wales all govt notices are in Welsh and English. In Quebec in Canada its French and English. As long as all govt notices and publications are provided in English there is no problem if they are also provided in other languages. Every state can do the same |
There is nothing wrong with this. In the UK if you go to Wales, you see many signs in Welsh and English Other states should do the same. As long as all govt communications are also provided in English, then there is no problem |
Okoyiboz3:You are so brainless it's almost best not to engage you. Firstly I am NOT from the SE, i am proud Edo Man If you think Nigeria can survive the current rate of inflation and insecurity, then it's you that is the 'funny guy'. Only a totally focused govt, with a radical change agenda can save this country. |
It should drop to 1000 self. Nigerians MUST get sense by force. I'm fact part of me wants the courts to not give PO justice. Let Nigerians Suffer for the next 4 years. By 2027 those that are still alive might finally have sense, and vote wisley. |
You mean the SS and SE gas reserves. Better hope the judiciary do the right the thing and call an election rer-run or else there is not likley to be a Nigeria in 5 years time , let alone 94 years. |
FreeStuffsNG:You are totally ignornat!! Tin Can Port did not come into operation till the 70's, was Nigeria not doing import/export business before then? Warri, Sapple, PH were all major ports towns for decades. All those ports were allowed to die, so Lagos could have the monopoly. As long as Yoruba's try to make Lagos the only state with functional ports, people from all over the nation will live there, and the complextion of the state will keep changing. The last election is just a forestatste of what is to come |
Edusouls:Exactly the same way, they turned Haussa to Hussa-Fulani. The Yoruba have chopped market by their alliance with the caliphate. |
CJStarz:Tribalisim will never let them see clearly. They have betrayed the rest of the south and know na 'siddon look' we dey as the Fulani start to deal with them. Their was a time many of us in the SS looked up the SW, the SW of people like Gani and Beko. We respected them and joined with them in the June12 struggle. Never again. They have laid their bed with the caliphate, they should sleep on it. Their TRUE friends in the south have been abandoned all to satsify one drug dealers personal ambiton. |
kevwemike:Ilorin is a muslim town end of story. If you like do Phd in history, it does not change that simple fact. Dose illorin have an Oba? No. it has an Emir. Yoruba MUST respect the rules and traditions of Islam in Ilorin. End of Story. Just as you demand others must accept Yoruba rules in Lagos. You can't have it both ways! Shabi you pepole now see how it feels to be oppressed in the state you have lived in for generations. Shabi e day pain eh? |
JohnBullMySon:The so called south has always been divided since the time of Awo and Zik and shall remain so. The sooner each group in the 'south' understands this, the better. The Yoruba are at most risk from the southward spread of Islam as they have already lost some of their territory to the caliphate. It wont' be long before you'll have Emirs in Lagos and Ibadan. it's all part of the long term plan. |
Yoruba should respect their hosts and abide by their customs. Ilorin is not 'no mans land' it is part of the Sokoto Caliphate and a muslim town. You can't be performing pegan rituals in a muslim town, and offending yoru Fulani masters. |
