Excelloque: The hatred for Igbo people is too much. See the title of this thread for example. Why the emphasis on "Igbo". Why not Biafran Army? Was the Biafran Army made up of Igbos alone. Remember the commander of this particular unit of Biafran Army was a Yoruba Biafran Army officer. Remember him?
Besides this story sounds funny. How is it that this so-called massacre has never come up in all Nigerian discussions of the war? How come it is not recorded in any book? How come the people so affected don't commemorate the massacre like the Asaba people do. I can tell you this, this story is full of incorrect accounts of the war. Part of the reason for the hatred is that Igbos NEVER acknowledge the hurt they cause. The first coup was an Igbo coup, but Igbos will deny it An Igbo man collapsed the regions and gave us the centralised mess we gave now, yet Igbos will deny it. Igbos will even deny that its fellow Igbos beheading their people across the SE. Pathological liars. That's why other ethnic groups don't like you guys!! |

People with brains always questions the trick behind the magicians display.
Only fools and numbskulls swallow facts without questioning what is behind the facts.
Ekwueme lost to Obasanjo in Jos, that’s a fact.
But what happened before the Jos convention? That’s another fact behind the fact you hold so dearly but you don’t want to face that fact. Continue to lie to yourself. You people have been doing that since the first coup, and look where its got you! |

Penguin2: In 1998, Alex Ekwueme formed and financed PDP until it became a formidable party.
It was taken for granted that he would be PDP candidate in the upcoming 1999 elections.
But Nigerians reached a consensus that the presidency should be conceded to the Southwest for 1993 mishap.
That was how Obasanjo was released from prison and handed the ticket of the party he did not sow in. He was never at the nocturnal meetings during the formative stage of the party but the ticket was handed to him.
But Ogbonnaya Onu and Rochas Okorocha were there from the start in the formative days of APC yet you lots will say Southeast did not invest in APC. What a load of nonsense. These are the kind of lies Igbos keep telling themselves to promote the forever victim complex. PDP was created by the G34. The group of top politicians that had opposed Abacha, as well as retired senior Army officers like IBB. The idea that Ekuame created PDP is a total lie. Ekuame contested the PDP primary against Obasanjo and LOST. The presidency was NOT microzoned to the SW. You guys really need to stop the falsehoods and deal with facts. The simple fact is the SE is too disunited to be an effective political zone. Just look at Peter Obi. A candidate that has mass appeal all over Nigeria, yet not a single SE governor serving or former has endorsed him. If you will not endorse your own, why should the rest of us vote for a SE candidate? |

I have been very crtical of the SE, for their people not standing up to the chaallange, but now in both parties we have credible SE candidates. They have done what has been asked of them. Now the rest of us in the south MUST do the needful and support the SE, or else let the North continue to rule |

presidency: *83 Million Poor Nigerians to Enjoy Coverage.
President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law, the recently passed National Health Insurance Authority Bill 2022, repealing thereby, the National Health Insurance Scheme Act, Cap N42, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.
President Buhari said at the signing of the new law that a Fund will be set up “to ensure coverage of 83 million poor Nigerians who cannot afford to pay premiums as recommended by the Lancet Nigeria Commission.”
He then went on to elaborate on how the Fund will be sourced: “For the large number of vulnerable individuals who are not able to pay health insurance premiums, a Vulnerable Group Fund will be set up to include a component of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund due to the Authority, Health Insurance Levy, Special Intervention Fund, and any investment proceeds, donations and gifts to the Authority.”
The President announced that the Authority will collaborate with state government Health Insurance Schemes to accredit primary and secondary health facilities and enroll Nigerians into the scheme in order to ensure the delivery of quality health care.
The new Act also enables the Authority and state governments to develop information management systems and digital records for better data collection, monitoring and quality assurance.
President Buhari tasked the Health Reform Committee to work with state governments, the Federal Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Authority to ensure the implementation of the articles in the new Act.

Pierced: I don't justified the killing of the Christian girl by fanatics Muslims......but she was wrong.....she shouldn't av called the teachings or saying of the prophet rubbish........knowing she is in a public group dominated by Muslims.
I am a Christian and an Igbo girl.....that sells stuffs at mile 12 market in Lagos ( a Hausa/Fulani dominated market.......95 percent consists of northerners.........while the remaining 5 percent consists of other tribes).
During the Muslim fast...........I usually eat in my shop.......and my nothern neighbours usually see me.......and they will be like "ba hajjimi" (meaning no fasting). I am always like no fasting oooooo......with a smile on my face.....and they will be like it's not good ooooo......that I should be fasting.....that fasting is good.....and I will be like no problem.....I have heard. Meanwhile in my mind I will be like because u people are fasting.....the whole world must fast with u......mtchew.
Another experience was yesterday when I wore a sleeveless knee length gown to the market......they saw me and said that I was naked was wearing clothes........I laughed and told them that I was only wearing pants and bra and that they should remove their eyes from my body so I won't make them sin
My point is in an environment u are the minority......be mindful of ur actions and utterances. I agree and expressed similar sentiments yesterday, however events have now moved on. Now we are witnessing Imams trying to whip up the people to override the laws of the land. This is a very dangerous situation. |

Saifullah01: I am not here to discuss the incident of her death, but rather the comment that triggered it. So if you are unable to deconstruct and analyse issues without sentiments, this is not for you.
Below is a translation of what she said verbatim. I have removedthe expletives she used:
.
Like I said the essence is to analyse what she said. One wonders, was she deliberately trying to start a religious crisis thinking it wouldn't go beyond the usual social media banter against Muslims?
I ask this because for some one trying to stop religious posts in a chat group do you start by saying "Holy ghost fire"? This is self contradiction. Secondly, after making your point on not posting religious materials in the chat, why on earth did she had to insult the prophet (peace be upon him)
It is a fact that Muslims revere the Prophets of Allah more than anything in this world, and the prophet of Islam occupies a special place in their heart.
It is also a fact that although ignorant people have over time and in different places used bad words against the prophet (PBUH), no Muslim worth the name dear mention great prophets like Moses, Ezekiel etc without saying "peace be upon them or "Alaihim Salaam" or AS, not to think of using bad speech against them
So it is important to state that I condemn the act of taking laws into one's hand, but also condemn any form of instigation and inciting speech against anyone, Muslims and non Muslims alike Iam 100% with you. There is no way she should have been killed as that is total lawlessness, but what she said was quite wrong and would have offended a lot of Muslims. We all need to show respect and sensitivity to other peoples religion and customs. Even in the developed world, for example UK, if you wore a shirt with the inscription ' Bleep the queen' and walked around Central London, it won't be long before you get a punch in the face! |

Datikwerreboi: It will, by Constitution a president should get certain 25% in some states. So if election is boycotted and someone is declared a winner then it means it is an illegitimate government which is null and void and not binding on the people of the east Is it your village Constitution you are quoting here? Nigeria's Constitution states a presidential candidate must score both a majority of votes AND at least 1/3 of the votes in 2/3 of the states. That means at least 1/3 of the votes in 24 states. If the 5 SE states boycott, that leaves 31 states from which the winner can get the mandated margin from. A SE boycott will have zero impact on the legitimacy of the election results. |

Broveens42: The earlier you understand the Dynamics of Nigeria, the better for you. Ordinarily, in the past, the north would retaliate for even the simplest of skirmishes here . Why are they not retaliating for far worse situations now? The possible reasons include:
1. Fear of disintegration in the wake of new consciousness. 2. The Hausas may have realized they are being used by a minority group (Fulani) to achieve the one Nigeria project Trust me I know the dynamics of Nigeria very well, much deeper than you can imagine, and all I will say on this is Igbos need to reflect very carefully on current Ipob actions. EzePromoe: Please how is denying an unborn baby his/her right to live part of women's right?
On Twitter, an American woman posted this, "women should determine what lives in their body not child or man". You can imagine that? If abortion was legalized during the days of their mothers, would a good number of them be alive today?
Feminists are fund of calling conservatives extremists, but one of the bedrock of extremism is selfishness.
Feminism used to be a good idea when it was strictly based on giving women equal representation (even if we know that in time of war they will gladly scramble for opportunities to be housewives instead of seeking the same equal representation in the army) but now this present generation of feminists wants to control men and hold them to ransom. Imagine a moment when it becomes legally right for a woman to abort a baby she has with her husband because of a misunderstanding. That is what these demonic generation of feminists want but God forbid it in this my generation.
Just as women want their rights, let them respect a child's right to live, born or unborn. BABIES LIVES MATTER! I agree. As always the liberals go to far. It's one thing to take the 'Morning after pill' the day after sex or a few days after, it's quite another to be terminating a pregnancy at 20 weeks. The woman's body is a safe space for the embryo to grow. We must all defend the right of the unborn child to life. Wombs must not be turned into Tombs! |
