This Edo man totally disagrees with you. We need fairness if there is every to be a true 'Political South'. The SE voted for Obasanjo. In fact in 2023 Obasanjo got more votes in the SE than Ojukwu. The SE also voted for GEJ twice. GEJ got more votes than both Ojukwu and Kalu. The SE have paid their dues in terms of southern unity. This is just a fact.
I have a lot of critisims against the SE across a number of things including when they try and rewrite history to absolves themselves from some of the problems facing the counrtry today, but in terms of 2023 I am firmly of the view that we in the south should and must support a candidate from the SE. If Peter Obi moves to the Labour Party as currently being rumored, all in the south MUST support him, or the term 'Southern Unity' means absolutly nothing.

It's looking like Igbos are about to do to Atiku, what Yoruba's did to Zik in the first republic. If leave PDP en mass nothing go remain for Atiku.

By Monday morning one fact will be clear as daylight for everyone in this country and that is 'Fear of the North is the start of wisdom'. Nobody plays politics like them, undisputed master tacticians!

These are cheap shots from a supposed pastor! He should let the Igbo be and move on! All these bloodshed and mayhem in the South East is because the igbos supported his principal, Goodluck Jonathan against the guy from Niger republic! That was how it all started and everyone in this country knows this! His people have never supported any Igbo mans political ambitions before!

I am from the SS, and I say that if the SE are not given the chance to produce the president from the south, then it should stay in the North. I have been very crtical of the SE, for their people not standing up to the chaallange, but now in both parties we have credible SE candidates. They have done what has been asked of them. Now the rest of us in the south MUST do the needful and support the SE, or else let the North continue to rule

President Muhammadu Buhari has signed into law, the recently passed National Health Insurance Authority Bill 2022, repealing thereby, the National Health Insurance Scheme Act, Cap N42, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria 2004.

President Buhari said at the signing of the new law that a Fund will be set up “to ensure coverage of 83 million poor Nigerians who cannot afford to pay premiums as recommended by the Lancet Nigeria Commission.”

He then went on to elaborate on how the Fund will be sourced: “For the large number of vulnerable individuals who are not able to pay health insurance premiums, a Vulnerable Group Fund will be set up to include a component of the Basic Health Care Provision Fund due to the Authority, Health Insurance Levy, Special Intervention Fund, and any investment proceeds, donations and gifts to the Authority.”

The President announced that the Authority will collaborate with state government Health Insurance Schemes to accredit primary and secondary health facilities and enroll Nigerians into the scheme in order to ensure the delivery of quality health care.

The new Act also enables the Authority and state governments to develop information management systems and digital records for better data collection, monitoring and quality assurance.

President Buhari tasked the Health Reform Committee to work with state governments, the Federal Ministry of Health and the National Health Insurance Authority to ensure the implementation of the articles in the new Act.

It will, by Constitution a president should get certain 25% in some states. So if election is boycotted and someone is declared a winner then it means it is an illegitimate government which is null and void and not binding on the people of the east

Is it your village Constitution you are quoting here?
Nigeria's Constitution states a presidential candidate must score both a majority of votes AND at least 1/3 of the votes in 2/3 of the states. That means at least 1/3 of the votes in 24 states. If the 5 SE states boycott, that leaves 31 states from which the winner can get the mandated margin from. A SE boycott will have zero impact on the legitimacy of the election results.

Ordinarily, in the past, the north would retaliate for even the simplest of skirmishes here . Why are they not retaliating for far worse situations now? The possible reasons include:

1. Fear of disintegration in the wake of new consciousness.
2. The Hausas may have realized they are being used by a minority group (Fulani) to achieve the one Nigeria project
