The OP is making some sense. The UK is a very tough place for foreign students. If you have to pay for your own accommodation, then its even tougher. Also sadly, a lot of the universities that Nigerians attend (Greenwich, Southbank, London Met....) are not among the top schools in the UK, so the students will find it difficult to get good jobs after graduation. To spend almost £20000 in total, and not even be certain of getting a good job, is a big risk. People need to make the decision with clear eyes.
My advice is only make the move if you are coming to study in a good school(,Top 20 University) and are studying a course that is in high demand.

The quality of products from China is improving rapidly. Huawei is the global leader in telecoms infrastructure. If international aviation bodies certify the planes as safe, then there should be no problem.

Change the enabling law for all Federal Universities in the country. The universities should be given full autonomy and become self funding. FG to give them one off grants every year, and it's up to the universities to make up the shortfall from fees and revenues from research and collaboration with industry.

Parents need to learn to downsize: There is no point living in a 5/6 bedroom duplex, when all the kids have left home. Most times the parents reach a point where they can't even use the stairs and are just using a downstairs bedroom. We need to become less sentimental about property. If parents sold off the duplex when the kids leave home, get a smaller bungalow, they will be more comfortable and can also have some spare cash to help take care of themselves.

In 2015 loads of PDP members defected to ACP, the same PDP that had mismanaged teh country for 16 years, yet ACP were hailed as the party of change. How could a party with the likes of Orji Kalu, Atiku, Saraki, Amaechi all PDP core members suddenly be the party of change? We asked the question , we raised the concerns and we were ignored.
Now fast forward to the 2022, it's the reverse, people are leavinng ACP for PDP. The same people who have been part of ACP that has destroyed the Nigerian economy and spread violence and insecurity across the land. Once again people we priase them, people will call the PDP the party of change, and once again the same people will be the ones to complain when PDP picks up from where ACP left off, the suffering continues.
