IGBOSON1:Here is an example of exactly what Remo is saying. You take everything as 'Anti-Igbo'. The man is outlining some failings in the Igbo mindset, that have been exploited by other ethnic groups over the years. Rather than ponder on these, you result to saying it's 'Anti-Igbo'. Continue playing the Ostrich with your hand firmly in the sand, all the other groups in Nigeria will produce a president why you guys will be yelling 'Anti-Igbo' all the place |
I agree it's nice to study history, but right now every southerners focus should be on the present. Simply put 2023 will be the most important election in our lifetime. The Fulani are not going to give up power easily. Buhari will either try and engineer a third term or hand pick another Fulani as his successor. The south needs UNITY now more than ever to confront the challenge ahead. Let's leave the past in the past and focus on securing a brighter future for our children. |
EndNigeriaNoow:Bless you. just look at how the North panicked when the South united to ban open grazing. The SE and SW youths who keep abusing each other online are simply acting as useful idiots for the Fulani jihadists. |
2023 is really simple. The SE and SW cant unite so the North will win again. Simple |
Well done to all of you that had the courage to start something. Even if it did not work out, you showed courage and determination. Never give up, your time will surely come |
surgical:Bless you bro. This is very similar to what I wrote earlier. If the people do not demand things from their leaders, then they should not complain if those things are not provided. Until Nigerians learn to DEMAND quality leadership, they will keep being taken for a ride by their leaders. |
kolawoleibukun:Have you demanded it of your leaders? I am sorry but change will not come by asking questions on NL. Nigerians need to rise up and make their leaders ACCOUNTABLE. How about the people of this country insisting that whoever wants to put themselves forward for president in 2023,must submit a detailed power generation and distribution plan in their electoral manifesto. Why don't the various civil society bodies like NANS, NLC...demand this? |
budaatum:Do you see any iota of education occuring? For goodness sake we have been running this democracy since 1999 and we actually worse off today than we were then. The rule of law has completely broken down. It's an open question weather there will even be elections in some parts of the country, if the current rate of insecurity were to persist. I am a realist. I would love to see free and fair elections product forward thinking visionary leaders, who would take this country to the next level, but i am sorry bro, nothing I've seen in the last 20 years convinces me that Nigeria as a society is ready for that. We need a full 'system reset'. Those who have conspired to plunder and bring the country down, must be dealt with severely. Only when this is done will a deterrent be set in stone. Even if by some miracle, a quality person like NOI were to become president, do you think they would let her work? You will see the national assembly reject nominees simply because they are upright and refuse to bribe. You will see proposed bills that should benefit the nation, either amended or rejected because they threaten the interests of the powers that be. I am sorry to tell you bro, but we are simply not ready. Na only strong hand Nigerians dey understand! |
budaatum:"Are you saying we are not yet sufficiently intelligent enough to use democracy to provide ourselves with the leadership that will change the course to where we would willingly choose to follow?".......That is exactly what I am saying unfortunately. Was it Nigerian voters who voted for Buhari TWICE. A man who has shown no ability whatsoever to lead a complex country like Nigeria. What of the national assembly? Is it not the same Nigerian voters that vote for the senators and reps, who pass laws to legalize looting? Look at 2023, is it not the same Nigerian voters who have STILL not learnt their lesson, and would rather pick a president based on which ethnic group they belong to rather than what qualities they bring to the role. We are simply not ready for democracy. We need focused dictatorship for at least another 20 years |
budaatum:Please wake up and smell the coffee. Nigeria is a lawless country. Sensible international investors will never come here unless the entire legal and regulatory framework is overhauled. You need to stop thinking that this current democratic system can provide the leadership the country needs. It cant. We need a complete change of course, a firm dictator who will rule with an iron fist and ensure the rule of law is totally adhered to. Anything else is just more of the same. |
budaatum:2 ex military leaders have been unable to restructure the country, and you think she can. Dream on |
It does not matter who is president in 2023. It really doesn't. As long as the country retains its current inefficient political and economic structure, nothing will change. |
No you are wrong dear Arewa youths, the North actually had 40 more years to rule. As long as they ruling everywhere North of the river Niger no wahala. We in the South are keen to join the rest of humanity in the 21st century. |
This is very good news. The FG should pass a law that all official vehicles should be purchased from this company. The agents of darkness and division can do their worse, but Nigeria's greatness can only be delayed, it can never be denied. |
jom28gy:Maybe because the Minister of finance might have ensured that favourable lines of credit were extended to the company. |
Kimjongun:There is rule of law in Dubai. My position stands bro. Corruption and disregard for the rule of law and due process is endemic in ALL parts of Nigeria today. No amount of restructuring is going to change that. Only when the people rise up and demand probity from their elected leaders, will things start to change. |
All of these are just noise used to deceive the gullible masses. We had 3 regions then 4 in the first republic. There was corruption and strife. We had 12 states. There was corruption and strife. We had 19, then 21 then ....all the way to 36 states. There is still corruption and strife. We have had civilian, military, mix military and civilian, presidential system, parliamentary system....in all these there has been corruption and strife. When will Nigerians finally understand that the problem is not the system of govt, it is the practitioners of that system. If you have regional autonomy tomorrow, you will still have Tinubu's in the SW, Kalu's in the SE, Ibori's in the SS, Gado Dollar in the NW.... Nothing will change. Untill the rule of law is firmly established in this country nothing will change. |
appishani1:My brother forgive my ignorance. It dose not get reported in the South, so we think you guys are just quietly accepting this nonsense. I pray for safety for you and yours. The almighty will see us through this dark period. |
appishani1:What I dont understand, is why are northerners so uncritical of their leaders? For goodness sake we are in a govt where all the top security positions are held by northerners, yet the north is beset with banditry, murder and boko Haram killings. When killings were happening under GEJ northerners were saying it was an attempt to depopulate the North. What do you guys say now, when many many more people in the North have been killed under Buhari? |
Osinbajo would be mad not to contest. He's shown he can operate at the highest level, and possess the brains and vision to be a successful president. |
ACF, NEF, and all the other northern groups will not see anything wrong with this, but when southern governors say anything, they get a collective erection. The North is caused. |
Kaduna1stson:This Edo man, reaches out to you with a handshake of brotherhood. If we can all be honest withoutselves, we may yet be able to rescure this country and build a nation of our dreams. A propserous and peaceful nation for all |
The same country where over 150 students have been kidnapped in Kaduna. Joke of a country |
BluntCrazeMan:No perm friend or enemy in politics perm interests. There are some in the North who feel GEJ is a 'safe bet' They can say power has returned to the south, knowing it will only be for 4 years as GEJ can only run for 1 more term. Its a strategic move from them. Will be interesting to see how it plays out. |
Aim of experiment: To prove sexaul relations with cows is detrimental to mental reasoning Apparatus: A standard Fulani politician. Method: Listen to the utterance of any Fulani politician over 30 years old. The older the better. It is not required to prove that said Fulani politiican has sexual relations with a cow, as this is taking a given fact. Observation: The utterances from ALL fulani politicians lack any sign of coherent thought or intelectual logic. Statements are wild and illogical devoid of all reason. Conclusion: Sexual relations with cows seriously degrateds mental health!! |
Does the South not have Senators and Members of the Reps? I beg leave matter. Southerners wil sell their mother for money. The north always win becasue they keep their eye on the ball. Untill the South unite and start to speak with one voice on national issues, this nonsese will continue |
Were new commanders not recently appointed when the last COAS was appointed? |
Naajjii:Too right. The so called middle belt guys simply want to eat from 2 plates at the same time. As far as I am concerned they are part of the North unitll their governors pull out of the 19 Northern governors forum and their senators and reps pull out from the respective northern causes. |
South Kaduna gain from quota system like others in the North, so please dont come and claim southern status. |
So called middle belt are big jokers. Their governors attended northern govs forum. Their senators and reps vote the northern agenda, yet they are the ones the Fulani butcher the most. |
The Ipob extremists allowed power get to their heads. Anybody who did not agree with them, was insulted and degraded. Fellow Igbos who tried to advocate for a more peaceful approach were called traitors, while the people of the SS were told they actually have no identity other than a Biafran identity. Kanu Ipod did more damage to the cause of Biafra than the North ever could. The SS are strategic, Tompolo has agreements with the govt via SS elders. He lies low, they leave him alone. Kanu is a demented hot head with zero strategic sense. Now he'll have a few years in Jail to reflect. |
NNPC can't run their own refineries, yet they want to take a 20% stake in Dangote's. On what basis? This is just another avenue for them to chop chop |
