Rupect: What does it take to apply as a research student?
An agent was charging me #2m for Japan tourist visa with hope of getting work as soon as I land because he married to Japanese lady that has company over there. Me I don't have such money to give agent. Thank goodness I saw this thread.
I really appreciate the contributors so far. my little advice go to as much as many national universities website search and identify the programme you wish to enroll in. go through the professor or asst professor research background, is it same as yours? for exampele , is the professor research background on bridges, nanotechnology etc. if and when you do find the professor of your choosing based on his research background, send him an email of your intent to join the graduate program in his university. in the mail , attach your research proposal, ielts result and degree certificate. repeat this procedure to many professor in many universities as you may find on the internet. eventually some or one will reply you. that means he is interested in you....he will help you somehow administratively to smoothen things for you but you still have a lot to do . i advice national universities , they are well funded , bigger and have more international students.....you need international students to survive in japan. and national universities offer Japanese language courses for free. a few examples of sch universities are Hokkaido University, the most beautiful university in japan..it a tourist centre and university join together.Nagoya institute of technology, kyoto university, tsukkuba university, almighty tokyo university(this is for geniuses but try your luck ), okayama university etc research student programme is for 6 months , its like masters pre- degree course, where you get brushed up. for masters program you must attend an interview in person which makes the research program more necessary. ganbatte ...feel free to ask any question...i will try my best to answer as best as possible |

[quote author=TechCapon post=73738488]Huawei is already a beneficiary. Right now Huawei is the world's leader in 5G technology that's why America is panicking. They're asking all their allies to boycott Huawei's 5g. Japan just banned Huawei few days ago but the company is still waxing strong. [/quote
Japan banned huawei because of espionage as Chinese government has control over huawei. The iPhone X retina technology was done in japan by huawei. Also Canada arrested huawei cfo for espionage recently. During Obama’s administration , ZTE was als banned for espionage related issues |

I was only telling you not to make stupid errors or mistakes such as what you wrote, that prompted me to say what i said.
The cheapest airfare to Japan (give or take) is nothing less that 350/400k. My point is, if you are going to spend that sort of money
on airfare alone, better make sure you are coming here the right way. This was the point i was trying to pass across. Sorry if you felt
i insulted you. please advice them to come as students 6 months research students 2 years masters and by learning Japanese through this period in school, you will achieve N3 level jobs are a plenty, most especially for IT specialties. |
Properties › Re: What The Building That Collapsed In Port Harcourt Looked Like 3 Weeks Ago by blackbriar: 2:33am On Nov 24, 2018 |
It collapsed on it self.... structural failure 1. The frame design is redundant meaning if one structural member fails the whole structure fails 2. A structural member failed, I am guessing at a beam to column joint.what naija designers do is design just for one case of beam column joint and superimposed on the rest 3. There should be noticeable deflections in the beams before collapse; like a warning. It shouldn’t have yielded immediately. So either the beam was under reinforced or over reinforced. 4. In conclusion; design error. The building failed in serviceability state 5. Rest In Peace fallen ones |

arrestdarrester: Could sabotage be a possibility then? Design fault. The structural engineer most likely did one joint calculations and superimposed for all the beams |

moonraker: Hmmmm. This statement is strange to me.
For Foreigners in general, Katakana is used.
Some organizations require that you put in Kanji characters.
However, foreigners dont have kanji names (unless ofcourse they become citizens, in which case, they have to change their names to something that has a Kanji).
Now in this case, Hiragana will be the next best thing.

Travel › Re: Japanese Visa And Travelling To Japan by blackbriar: 10:44am On Nov 01, 2018 |
komia: The form is basically made for a typical Japanese which has 2 sections-kanji- Chinese characters and hiragana the simplified japanese characters. A foreigner lacks kanji. What’s mostly is normally done is you write that kanji section using Romaji ( normal alphabet). The other section you write katakana characters. That means you write your name twice which is the common and official way to write documents in Japan. For filling forms online.....the ASCI code is either hiragana full width or half width, the style of typing. It has not to do with romaji , kanji or katakana. It’s the spacing style and boldness when typing online for all japanese characters |

komia: That’s not hiragana. It’s katakana which is used to write foreign names. true but in a filling a japanese form online , its either hiragana full width or half width......the asci code |

obirichy: Apology accepted, I'm not in Japan, you guys know better, the only thing I can say I'm sure of is my friend came in to Japan a month ago with a visiting visa and he got a factory job. One cant actually know what is happening in all part of the country. S Korea is the hardest place to get in but some fortunate people get in there with business visa and still get factory work to survive. I know many of us here wants to get in there and work not really to school... Student visa is safer anyway but some still get in with business visa and get jobs too. I have a friend here he got a visa to s Korea for business ,he got a job and worked for 3 months and made some money he returned to Nigeria to show off and couldn't enter back till now, his business visa was remaining 1month to expire. ahhhh so your friend is all those illegals working at scrapyards at saitama. the ones that hide all day in a cramped room and work all night to hustle. the ones that are begging to marry any japanese to get spousal visa. Nigerian prison better pass japan immigration detention centre. come here legally, dont end up as a roppongi tout, thats what nigerians are known for here. tout and frauds. they marry japanese ladies , take loans of 200 million naira and abscond back home forming hustle don pay. the best to come here is as a student, it will be difficult at first but part time jobs are so numerous you will survive and start making money. do you even understand basic japanese?日本語分かる? we meet those street boys and they look at us students as efulefu. can you do street job in japan? always looking over your shoulders for the police? goodluck |
