Kennytorio1: ![]() You people can be ridiculous. Joshua is a man. He can lose. Don't make a big deal out of his loss. Don't start making up conspiracy theories about why he lost. He lost because he went up against the better man on fight night. Mohammed Ali, Joe Frazier, George Foreman, Mike Tyson, Lennox Lewis, the Klitschko brothers all have losses on their records. Only a few boxers (about 13) ever retired with perfect records. |
onatisi:Even if he loses, it would not mean he is gone. Everything would depend on the man he is on the inside. Lennox Lewis lost to two underdogs in his career and never gave up fighting. But will Joshua be able to bear another loss to Andy Ruiz without totally breaking down and throwing in the towel? Everything would depend on the kind of man he is. If he is a man who can handle losses very well, all good. But if he is a man who would rather cry and give up, well... Like you wrote, he has put himself under serious pressure by getting a rematch too quickly. Now, everyone is expecting him to perform the same feat that Lewis did when he came back after a loss to reclaim his belts. They want him to be like one of the greatest heavyweight boxers of all time. That is a lot of pressure on Joshua. I don't envy him at all. Andy Ruiz has nothing to lose. He already has a record that many Mexican boxers would envy till they go into their graves. |
ola33t:You are very ignorant and arrogant in your ignorance. Even before Joshua fought Ruiz the first time, he has always been the most marketable fighter in the whole world. He easily filled up the arena. Maybe many Nigerians or Nairalanders don't always know because they would rather follow football on a normal day, but only say what you know. As for match fixing, why would an elite boxer with a 21-0 perfect record throw it away because he wants to fill an arena which he has always done so easily in the past even on a 14-0 record? You can talk about journeymen receiving bribes to lose, but an elite boxer with 3 major belts throwing them away because of what? If at all, an elite boxer like Joshua would rather bribe to win. Records are everything in boxing. Everyone wants to finish their career unbeaten. Use your head!!! If elite coaches like Pep and Klopps are ever caught fixing matches, it would certainly be to win matches, not to lose. Only hungry coaches would receive bribes to lose a match when records are even more important than money. Money finishes, but records remain with you even after you die. Mayweather has retired for sometime now, but people are still talking about his unbeaten records. If Joshua wanted to lose on purpose, he would have collected the over 50 million dollars to fight Deontay Wilder. At least, losing to Deontay Wilder will not be as shameful as getting knocked down 4 times against Andy Ruiz. The truth is: that day wasn't Joshua's day. Ruiz beat him black and blue. He was knocked down 4 good times, and had his ass handed to him. Maybe you have become used to lack of honor due to living in Nigeria. But, don't project your thoughts on Joshua. He is not your everyday boxer. He had three belts, he had pride, and was calling the shots in the heavyweight division. He will never throw away those belts for anything. I know a man who has pride in how far he has come when I see that man. And Joshua is that man. No elite boxer will collect bribe to lose, not especially to someone largely unknown. This is like Wilder collecting bribe to lose to Chisora (although, Ruiz is obviously far better than Chisora). |
Spatta:Why does Magufuli even need to travel much? He is just a figurehead in a parliamentary system of government. The head of government is the prime minister. So, don't compare Magufuli to Buhari. Buhari is both head of state and government in a presidential system of government. Magufuli is just head of state in a parliamentary system of government. |
Spin360:Bro, it is all fine to review public tax... but it doesn't mean it is more important than regulating organized religion. Perhaps, if you lived near churches who keep you awake all night in the name of vigil, you will understand why noise pollution is a health hazard that needs more than the attention it is getting in Nigeria. |
Spin360:It is very necessary for the purpose of maintaining sanity. Too many churches and so much noise, as well as so many pastors defrauding or molesting girls. It helps to have a data base to maintain sanity. At least, when these churches have been captured, it would be easier for these churches and government to work on certain issues, especially on the issue of noise pollution. |
CanadaOrBust:Yimu!!! |
anonymous1759:How sure are you that Americans will never extradite their citizens to Nigeria? There are extradition treaties between the United States and Nigeria and as long as the case complies with the treaty, then a warrant would be obtained. The reason why the United States might not want her citizen extradited to a country like Nigeria is because of gross human rights abuses that Nigeria is known for. But if there is reasonable assurance that their citizen's rights would be respected, I am sure they would comply. |
Decolonel:Thrash!!! The only reason the country is not moving forward is because of emotional people like yourself. Ever heard about Bernard Lawrence Madoff? He was a massive giver to charity. The poor loved him. Little did they know that he made his money from running what was then the biggest Ponzi scheme in the United States. He had defrauded many people (many of whom may have even died of hypertension or committed suicide). He is presently serving a federal prison sentence. Many people cover up their fraudulent acts by using philanthropy as a cover up to fool emotional people like you into thinking they are saints. If Onyeama is guilty, let him be punished. |
englishmart:There is nothing like a tamed lion o. All these people who keep lions as pets never learn until it is too late. There is one guy called Lion Whisperer who has a show of the same title on NatGeo Wild. The guy understands lions so well that he teaches the behaviors of lions to others. Yet, this guy does not keep them as pets. Rather, he runs a reserve for them. |
Advocate500:You think it was the very day that EFCC got petitions or suspicions about Mompha that they arrested Mompha? These things take time. Law enforcement does not work the way you people think. If your petition lacks merit, it will end up in the dust bin. If it has some merits, it is still necessary for certain investigations to be done to connect the dots and know that they have sufficient reasons to go after Tinubu. If you want to petition Tinubu on the bullion van incident, you have to prove that Tinubu broke a law. This is a very hard thing to do. Because moving raw cash in a bullion van or even using a bullion van is not a crime on its own. So, you can't petition someone for not committing a crime except you can tell that the act correlates with a certain crime. The anti-money laundering act is not totally against moving raw cash beyond the minimum amount stated as long as certain requirements are met. So as not to waste the EFCC's time, you have to make sure that you have read the anti-money laundering act thoroughly and understand where and how Tinubu broke the law. Considering that no law enforcement agency likes to waste time and resources on investigations that would end up as a waste, it is very pertinent that your petitions have merits. |
drlance:First of all, your inferiority complex is worrying. Who told you someone is better than you? So, because he claims to be a medical doctor, he is automatically better than you? Hope you know that many medical students regard themselves as doctors? And supposing he is even a medical doctor, what makes you think he is better than you? Because you think you are unemployed, even though you sell stuffs? My advice is that you work on yourself. Because even now that you are employed, you will still think of some people in your workplace as better than you simply because they earn higher than you or are your seniors at work. Have you not heard of a clerk who is better than a manager? If you work on this inferiority complex, then maybe you will be more open-minded. Because as it is, your idea is that girls leave you for better people. You equate being better with being employed. But being better goes beyond mere employment. If you don't work on your inferiority complex, it will still be there even if you become as rich as Dangote. |
Advocate500:So, because Tinubu has been petitioned, he is guilty or must immediately be arrested/invited ![]() Many of you don't know the meaning or essence of petition. Petition is to draw the attention of a law enforcement agency to someone who has allegedly broken a law. It is not a command to the agency to arrest the person. Therefore, your petition must have substance. It must have evidences and not merely hearsays or perceived crime. Have you read Expo 77 by Chukwuemeka Ike? If you have, you will understand the meaning of petitions better. |
badboywizzy:You are one ignorant fellow. I am a mathematician, not an assembler. |
Arizonaguy:Bullying is an assault, but not all assaults are bullying. Bullying has an element of repetition. |
Arizonaguy:I don't agree with you that this is bullying. Supposing two or more people gang up to beat up a bully who has been making their lives miserable at school, is that also bullying. These girls did not technically bully that girl. They assaulted her. Fine. Girls jump girls in a fight. Guys do it too. |
TundeBricklayer:I am talking about the news we are all reacting to. If you want us to react to Tinubu's indictment, open a thread for that so that we can all contribute our quota. As far as this thread is concerned, it is about Onyeama, and not Tinubu or Adenuga. |
SageTravels:Who said he owed me? I merely reacted to the story he shared. The story has k-leg. If you owned a bank, would you lend money to anybody simply because he has a business plan? Next time, he should tell us at least one estate that he built. That would make his story more believable. For all I care, he shouldn't have said anything. Because the story he shared does not say anything yet about how he made his money. |
Girls fight. That is understandable. Many of these cases happen everywhere. It can even be enjoyable ![]() But what is hard to understand is why a guy would join in. As in, refuse to be just a spectator, but an actual participant in girls' fights, many of which are senseless, and driven by overblown issues such as rumors and unverified and unverifiable hearsays. You will be hearing stuffs like: "Esther said this about me/Maryam said that about me. I am going to beat her up. I will disgrace her. I will tell everyone how she slept with Tinu's sister's boyfriend." They never fight over politics, or women victimization or child abuse. And yet, a full-grown man allowed himself to be drawn into that sort of a drama. It is hard to understand why he would do that. Even back in boarding school, we (senior pangolos) had the good sense never to beat girls or even punish them. We would rather call a female senior prefect to do that. |
TundeBricklayer:The person that has been indicted so far is Onyeama. And the topic is about Onyeama. |
seedsower:There is an extradition treaty between the United States and Nigeria. If they formally request the extradition of Onyeama (with sufficient reason for extradition), our government would deliver Onyeama to them. |
vicdom:That man is lying. Which estate did he build? What bank would want to do business with someone whom no one knows? He should first tell us some well-priced lands he has sold before even mentioning estates and bank loans. We are not fools!!! We are talking about a capital-intensive and highly risky business like aviation. |
cuteralph101:You are an exasperating dunce. I criticized something and all you mad dogs were all over my comment spewing nonsense like wild animals. You didn't criticize me. If you did, I wouldn't be returning insults. It is not in my nature to return criticisms with insults. I only return insults with insults. I have called many vehicles ugly, including German vehicles. But you senile idiot had to precondition your worthless mind to think it was beyond me to call a car ugly simply because a Nigerian assembled it and a senator (of all people) uses it. Swear with your life that you find all cars beautiful. And would sit down when people try to force their own perceptions on you? I am sure if it were the G-Wagon (which I have never liked) that I criticized, people like you will not be abusing me. |
cuteralph101:You are the biggest fool in the world. I made my comment and went back to work, but you idiots began to masturbate to it like deranged sex-starved nonentities, you particularly. Incorrigible, ignorant village idiot. I checked my phone only recently, and you jobless loafer had already come to Nairaland to start spewing bullshiit. India manufactures vehicles, and yet it is not a developed country. Get that into your thick skull. So, criticizing Innoson does not have anything to do with whether I expect Nigeria to become developed overnight as being developed has nothing to do with assembling or manufacturing cars. Many countries, even underdeveloped countries now have assembling plants, so it is commonplace. So, yes, I expect Nigeria to be a developed country judging by our vast natural and human resources which we have refused to manage properly due to corruption. This has nothing to do with assembling cars. Many African countries, even Ghana, have been locally assembling cars since the 90s. So, it is not such a big deal. So, get some education, and go read on why some countries are considered developed. Worthless illiterate simpleton!!! |
OyiboOyibo:Most beautiful my foot!!! Or is it not the same woman in the picture I am seeing in the OP ![]() |
Dedetwo:I have criticized many cars, especially the G-Wagon which I have always found very ugly so much so that I have often wondered why the craze about it. And all those Volvo cars too. I found them especially ugly as hell. So, this is not about slave mentality which only exists for you, not me. |
Inhabitable1:So, I must join the bandwagon even if I don't like what I am seeing? Did I say the car is substandard? I said the car is ugly. Check my name. I am blunt like that. I don't join bandwagons. I live my life the way I deem fit. |
cuteralph101:Speak for yourself. She can feed your ancestors, not mine. My family is well-to-do. Thorough professionals who made their money outside politics, offering services rather than looting the treasure dry and deceiving excruciatingly stupid people like yourself into worshipping them. As for toothpicks, there are toothpick manufacturing plants in Nigeria. So, get your facts right. At least, they manufacture. Unlike Innoson who merely assembles. |
badboywizzy:Which one did Innoson manufacture? He assembles, he does not manufacture. Even at that, he does a rather bad job. |
Eartquake1:You are very stupid for mentioning my mom in this matter. Snivelling, mannerless slowpoke. It is my opinion. Get that into your thick skull. My opinion!!! The car is ugly as hell, unoriginal and bland. Deal with it. |
Mikecold:Don't mind the UN. After we Igbos developed Britain, they chose a Hausa man to head the UN General Assembly so that they can use the United States Department of Justice to fight our son Onyeama. We want referendum out of this world. |
Truth be told, that is one piece of an ugly automobile. |
