There is nothing like confession in the issue.
If you come to my house and you see that i am watching some free satellite channels,
If you want the same service you will have to pay at least i will not pick the equipments free of charge.
I am totally against oppression or commercialization of fta like that company that i will not like to name.

Thanks for the mail you sent me. I will try it out ASAP. (It is not about fta, so he is not hidding anything from others)

@ALL
Goodnews to all Pas 7/10 users, i found a channel under Nagravision Encryption group yesterday night.
It was still up till 1300GMT today. It is a nice channel, afterall some people pay to watch it.
I will not be giving out the name of the channel or the transponder it is because i do not want it quickly removed.
You cannot miss it if do an AUTO/BLIND scan of the whole Pas 7/10 satellite. If you use a strong receiver, just arrange
your channels according to encryption type and you will see the channel under Nagravision.
Hope you got the coddings!!! grin

I personally do not think that it is completely wrong for people to come here, learn some things and use the knowledge to make ends meet by installing dishes for others. We all know that while everybody will like to watch satellite TV, the money to pay at the end of the month is a headache. Also, not everybody will like to punch the wall and spend endless minutes tracking birds. Someone just need to be there to do the job. I perfectly agree that unregistered members should not be allowed to view posts on the forum. This is what obtains on most of the forums on the internet.

We will continue to watch our fta channels with or without the English premiership.

@ All

If you want to track the virus bird, i will advise yo go for the 90cm dish.
It was a piece of cake for me yesterday night and i set a personal record of tracking a new bird in about a minute.

I observed that the srt4653x has a better tuner than the srt4663x.
The recording too though very nice is very heavy. I size of a 20minute programme was about 1GB!!!
Except for gadget freaks, i think the srt4653x is still the king.
@All SERIOUS Sirius Users,
Please Heeeeeelp ! I can't contain the Sirius excitement within me! This weekend I MUST adjust my W3A dish to pull down the new bird too! Please advice me: has anyone been any to use a 65cm dish with one LNB to track the two birds well? I use Starmax 0.2dB LNB with the 65cm for W3A. I will keep an extra 0.2dB LNB nearby just in case it's needed.
@ Nash-FTA
I toiled all yesterday evening in vain trying to track Sirius 4 with a 65cm dish.
But i am sure i have seen a 65cm dish somewhere very close to my house facing the direction of W3/Sirius.
I was tempted to think that all the transponders of Sirius 4 was off yesterday night.
I will try again today and there is no success i will be installing a 90cm dish over the weekend.

@ All

Has anyone been able to track Sirius 4 with a 65cm dish?
Please post pictures.
Satellite TV Technology › Re: Official Thread of Free To Air Satellite TV (Part 2) by bodejohn(m): 4:54pm On Nov 24, 2008
@ all

It is very easy to get our new bride "Sirius 4" if you have W3 already installed.
I got the green yesterday evening after about 5mins.
Unfortunately there are some channels on the bird that has neither video or audio
Any solutions to these?

Has anybody got a hint about stv 1 & 2. They have also packed from Nss 7.
I hope Nss 7 is not coming down like Nigcomsat 1 with the rate at which channels are moving from it.
Anyway the if it comes down there are mainly Nilesat dish that will be waiting to receive it.

@ Twinstaiye

I think Hitv is trying to protect their investment.
They paid alot of money to get the premiership license.
It is an open truth that half of the lifetime of their licence is gone.
They will need all the muscle they can flex to get more money for the coming rounds of bidding.

Ok Guys, Here I am, Proud hunter of the Big4 KU band birds we track here in West Africa.
I said to myself a few posts back, let's move on to the big league, lets hunt down the C band birds, short of Nilesat here in Ghana, lets at least hunt down Atlantic Bird or even CNN on NSS7 C Band.
So I run along and pick up a 2.4 Mesh dish @ 24,000 Naira (GHC 240)
I decide to take a combined LNB (smart eh?)@ 3,000 Naira (GHC 30)
I Plant a Galvanised Pipe with my Welders@ 2,000 Naira (GHC 20)
Put in My cablework and I am the proud spender of 30, 000 Naira (300 GHC)

To my utter shock and dismay I tried all the tricks in the book for tracking KU band birds without success.
May I repeat that this is my first attempt at C Band installation?
So Even the easy PAS 7/10 or NSS7 all refused to show.
I removed the dielectric from the LNB, still no show
The LNB appears to be fine as the satellite finder (small noisy fellow) signals when i power on the receiver.
I am located in Accra Ghana

Here's my connection diagram

Galvanised Pipe on Concrete
C Band dish
LNB (With or Without Di-Electric NO SHOW)
Satellite Finder
Strong Receiver
TV Set
Am I doing something Wrong?

Ah! 30,000 Naira must not go to waste i need help.
You are not the only one hooked on this.
I also jumped into the market some few months back to buy a 2.4m mesh dish and strong's combined (c and Ku) lnb spending almost the same amount. I was only able to track Nss 7, not even Pas 7/10 that i can track with a 65-90cm dish closing my eyes.
The best i get from the satellite now is a feeling that i own the biggest satellite dish on the street. smiley
I however have this oberservations:
The combine lnb has a 0.8db noise compared to the 0.3 or 0.2db on the universal lnb.
Tracking with the bigger dishes are more difficult compared to the small dish that you could hold in one hand.
I will suggest you speak with people who have actually installed one or more of the bigger dishes before.

all,
according to mide, the premiership stuff is being used by a viewing centre in Ibadan.mide2008's friend knows the guy but the viewing centre guy wouldnt give our guy the frequency until he pays. Our guy has promised to pay by weekend.mide2008 will give me the latest gist tonight. If he still can't pay,we should contribute.at least N100 recharge card each wont be too much to hook up to premiership again.I am only suggesting ooo incase our guy can't pay by weekend.
Does this have anything to do with RDV? A friend once told me that he heard some folks are still watching the channel in Ibadan.

I have now completed my 1.8 motorised dish in lagos. I will soon post the pictures. The dish carries 3 Lnbf-2c band and 1 ku. The 2 c band one carries dielectrict, the second one is empty. The one that doesnot carry dielectrict is for pas 10 c-band and metro tv ghana. As you all know metro and pas 10 doesnt need dielectrict,so the only option to get them is to add additional lnb.

If anyone is interested on cardsharing receivers, contact me.

please, i need someone to post the settings of strong decoder to track nilesat 7w and other satelites.
also, ways of using disqec for 4 dishs.

I can see you read through all the posts.
Since you did not specify the "dish" you have i am almost sure it is a 90cm.
You can not get Nilesat 7W with the Hitv/Dstv dish.
You will need atleast a 2.4m dish before you can smell Nilesat in the south of Nigeria.
