@ All

You guys were faster than my internet connection.
I saw that the picture was missing and had to modify it.
But internet service is slow that you saw the post and made
your comments before the modified post was uploaded.
The picture was taken in the evening and it was about to rain then,
i promise to take a better one when i get home today and upload.

Anyway i have the picture attached now.

Enjoy!

@ All

The attached picture speaks for itself. That is my Pas 7/10 dish after been inverted.
The elevation is now about times 2 what it used to be at the normal position.
This might be of help people who have tall houses beside their wall to overcome the obstacle
by reducing the height to which they have to go before installing their dish.
It took less than 30mins to accomplish the feat of been the first inverted dish owner on nairaland.
My 12722 H transponder that has been around 38 - 42% signal quality jumped to 62% without any tweaking on the lnb.
I noticed some appreciable gain too other transponders.
I guess at the former position there was some blockage from the house around.

Can i get some congratulatory messages?

Attached picture in some few posts down

enitan2002:
Shockingly, the guy said if i should direct the dish away from the storey building i will surely get the signal, hearing this i was totally pissed off.
These are some of the people that keep posing to the outside world as a 'certified' installer.
OH what a shame.

Don't mind those who call themselves installers, some of them know next to nothing.
About the dish, there was a time a saw a 60cm dish inverted. I mean the lnb arm/holder was up instead of been down.
I have wondered in my mind for some time now what will be the result of tracking a bird with the "dish upside down"
If the dish can reflect the signals to the lnb, i think it should work.

I will be glad if i can see some contributions to this.

@ Enitan

Thank God your fried receiver will give your mouth some other things to do than talking!

You need to make sacrificies of Nilesat to all the people you have offended on this forum before your receiver will restored.

@ Enitan

What you feared has finally happened.
It is good to have faith and see good things about life.
Now you know that your strong receiver is fake.

Is anybody still picking TV3 Ghana on NSS7 C-BAND?It has been off for some weeks while TV AFRICA is still very high at 97%

TV3 is still showing live. You need to check you setup.

These former Nss 7 channels (RDV, STV 1&2, Canal 2) are really very promiscuous.
I found them on W3 bird yesterday. This is not that the W3 dish picked signals of
Sirius because i got the Canal 2 and STV 2 on the same transponder which is not the case for Sirius 4.

@ All

Reading through the posts was intresting to me, but the issue at hand is not intresting at all.
If a policeman should ask for bribe simply because he is underpaid, should an unemployed man on
the street turn to stealing because he is hungry? There is no justification for a policeman taking bribe.
He at least applied for the job and he is free to quit at anytime if he is not satisfied with the conditions
of his service. Come to think of it there are more families in Nigeria who leave on less than what is paid
a Nigerian policeman.

I am not so surprised that most of the people calling for others to stand against the Nigerian Police live
outside Nigeria. You leave in societies where there is rule of law and reward for every labour.
The group of policemen who sometimes ago tried to protest their deteriorating living conditions are presently in the prisons.

When you visit Nigeria and your are stopped on the highway in the middle of nowhere and nobody to rescue
you, considering giving a #200 bribe will be a very good option for you to be able to get to your destination alive and
energy to fight the rut in our society next day.

It is not only in the bribe taking that we have doomed ourselves but also in education, medical care, economy etc. If the Nigerians
in diaspora are ready to clean up Nigeria, we welcome them home!

RODRIGUES TV1 and MBC-ROV TV2 is back!

Can you kindly state the dish size with which you got the MBC (RODRIGUES) channels.
A member on this forum has been watching the channels ever since with a 1.3m dish.

@ Enitan

Thank God you are back alive. I have seen the work of your hand again on my 2.4m dish o.
You better reconsider that plan of coming to Ibadan, i have prepared the fishes that will skin you!

@ All

This ftb no go kill una with all these multiple post!

I wonder why most of the responses have been negative.
The girl did not tell us of her family's financial status,
The fact the man is a bank manager does not mean he is rich.
Probably many of the contributors are not married.
There has never been anyone right from Adam and Eve who never
had a form of fear or the other before getting married.
I am married and i know what i am talking about.
You will definitely have one wish that the man or the woman will not be able to meet.
She is absolutely right to feel this way.

My advise for this lady is to pray, pray and pray about it.
That you have these fears is a sign that God wants you
to iron the grey areas of the relationship with Him and the man.
I don't want to belief that you are in it for his money or status.
May the Lord help in your decision.

@ All

I got Stv 1&2 on the W3 bird yesterday after a blind scan of the satellite.
I was about jubilating when i discovered that the frequency and symbol rate is the same with the channels on the Sirius bird.
The stv channels on W3 appeared with a 45 to 50% signal quality, compared to Sirius stv with over 80% quality.
Although i have not checked other Sirius channels on W3, there is a slight possibility on nailing the two birds on one dish

captainus:
viasat tv on nss7  at 3743 v 2280 cbandthat is.

The viasat channel rocks! To me it is even better than Etv on pas 7/10 or mnet series in eentertainment
It has comedy shows like Friends, the ever green Bill Cosby show, Opera, American next top model, etc nice films too.
The icing on the cake is that the language is English. I guess the channel is based in Ghana.
Kudos to you Captainus for this great channel, although the H polarity worked work for me.

I remain surprised how i didn't get the channel from all the numerous blind scans i have done on the C band dish.
Is there a special way of doing C band blind scan? I use strong srt 4653x/4663x receivers

Having gone through all the posts and interviews granted by the two footballers i still strongly belief that some truths are missing.
Who was the guest that had enough powers to order a search of other guests when the host was only upstairs? Even if Etim has messed up before in life does that mean he could not do something better with the remains? Remember the popular musician, Akon, was once in prison. Even JJ was at one time or the other accused of pride when he was playing in the national team and club level.
I can see pride in the two personalities, i bought a car for my wife, i have supported him all this while are all statements of pride.
Was the phone finally found? It is better we concentrate our energies on better things than been joined into this show of shame and pride.
Only recently we heard that Micheal Phelps' photo was taken when he was smoking crack, Mikel was arrested for drunk driving offences. That is the shameful life of our celebrities!Fame and money are the little things that ruins the life of celebrities including athletes.

@ Enitan

Sorry i went off the messenger yesterday. It was the effects of the bad network. I hope you got the offline messeges.

@ All

It is better to check with other people on the forum before adjusting one's dish especially if it was working fine before.
I am talking specifically about the W3 satellite. I adjusted my dish some weeks ago thinking i will get better signals
but it was actually the transponders doing "abracadabra"

Has anyone got the patch that make 4653x to record? Kindly post the link here or send file to the google group.

@ dvbguy

This is how you just sneak in and out the forum, I don catch you o!
I have been using the dvb card for some time with amazing results.
You can drop me a mail with you new findings, my add is up in my profile.

@ Enitan

You have joined the league of photo journalists? I hope you are not starting another GOMBE.
Come to think of it, what will a Pas 7/10 satellite with more than 50 Christian channels be doing on a mosque?
If that satellite is actually facing 68.5 degrees i doubt if it will be connected to a receiver.
I think the dish might might be bad, Nilesat would have been the home of such a big dish with it's array of Islamic and arabic rich contents.

@ Enitan
You are very lucky o, signal generator na small thing to 1.8m motorised dish.
I am about thinking of getting myself 2.4m solid pan dish for Nilesat but i no sure say mama onaolapo no go raise eyebrow.

@ All
I am fully in support of someone on this forum giving a full detail of how to motorize dishes.
It may be on the on the "what is fta" thread.

@ Enitan

Wetin be this your 3 in 1 post?

All the freebies don disappear o,
You better get us another ones before we place embargo on all your fishes.

@ all
The rain in Ibadan yesterday did some damage to my 2.4m dish.
It is really a challenge for me to secure the dish since it is not possible to bury the pole.
Tox do you have any ideas?

I have noticed that MBC channels have disappeared, can i get a comfirmation from the house?

@ Pito
Congrats on your birthday.

@ All

I hope it is not too late to send my happy new wishes to you all.
My pastor has prophesied that 2009 will be a year of divine expansion and it is my prayer that so shall it be for every body on this forum, our 65cm dishes will expand to 90cm and 90 will become 1.8m and 2.4m will become 3m etc etc, we will track birds like never before in the Holy one's name.

@ Pas 7/10 users

I have noticed that my Etv channel with signal quality above 80% still freezes, am I the only one experiencing this?
Has anybody tried to compare signal quality before and after a disqec switch? I suspect that the switch reduces signal strength expect if it is my switch that is bad.

@ tox

I was also wondering where Gtv disappeared to. It is even no longer on lyngsat.
Do you still pick Tv Malawi?

@ Enitan

Bros where have you been? Even when you are online you do not respond to chat invite.
Hope you have made your new year resolutions.

@ All

Just want to reiterate that all information given out on this forum no matter how small is very important and useful.
I had been struggling with poor signals on my W3 dish for sometime now, playing with the lnb skew yesterday my MBC, Ariane tv and Go Africa channels jumped from complete red to 60% without even changing the azimuth or elevation of the dish.

Here is wishing everybody here a happy and prosperous 2009!

Muthamiah:
I'm using technosat t-888 plus decoder and i seriously need keys to open up irdeto2 & conax. who has a breakthrough on this?

You are definitely in the wrong forum!

@ tox

Oga tox, no be fight now.
It is not yet a sin to live in a place like that.
Remember that i am not Enitan.
I was just joking and nothing more.

@ toxnaija

My 2.4m mesh is exactly like this.
Which birds were you able to track with it?

Is this dish of yours located where you live?
If yes, i think you might need to check your priorities for 2009.
Just kidding

@ Badaru

Congratulations on the new dish installation.
You should have called Enitan to give you a hand afterall he will come to watch the x rated channels.

I will be sending you a mail, kindly reply.
I have some issues though fta related but i want to discuss it off the forum.
Thanks

@ ALL

Merry christmas and Happy new in advance.

@ Enitan

What are you looking for on PSAT when you already have W3.
Just get yourself a dvb card and you can download 2Gb of it in just an hour.
If you can come online now, i have some gist for you.
No make that call on christmas or new year again o because the echolink na 35.
I don say my own o

@ ALL

Is anybody watching this live online?
Kindly give the link.

@ George D

Enitan is not saying you should not quote.
He is simply trying to tell you that you do not need to quote all the time
especially when your views are exactly the same with the quote you are posting.
This will help in keeping the thread not too long and easy to read for folks who use their phones to browse.

@ George D

I know you talked about the mesh dish some posts back.
I want to hear from Adewest and some other birds that i can use the dish for.

@ Adewest

You are surely a great addition to the fta family here.
What are my chances of catching the Nilesat bird with the following:

2.4m mesh dish
Fuji Lnb as i do not have digisat around here
Strong's srt 4653x/4663x

i also have a compass and i am in Ibadan.
I will appreciate other people's opinions too.

@ ALL
How are you guys doing?
I have been following the happenings here on the go with my mobile thanks to enitan.
It is not easy combining satellite tracking with taking care of a new born baby.
I got my own compass today in Ibadan although very expensive, i just went to a surveyor's shop to ask.
I will be trying out my Nilesat installation very soon, i hope i will get results this time.
With MSNBC out of W3, i might be thinking of changing the direction of my W3 dish because that is the only all good channel that i know on the bird.
I am even experiencing some noticeable drop in the signal quality of the bird.

@ All

Happy celebration to everybody especially our esteemed Muslim friends.

I am saying for the up-tenth time that the dishes i am talking about in Ibadan is not W3 or Sirius.
The dishes are facing the West and not the East where the W3 and Sirius are.
I am so sure of this because in one of the locations, there are 3 dishes: W4, Pas 7/10 and the mystery dish.
The mystery dish at almost 90 degrees is facing the other two dishes indicating it's Western direction.
Is it possible for a dish to be facing a W4 dish and still be pointing at the East? or is it possible to get W3/Sirius on the West? Must we see everything before we belief?
I am sorry to say this, it is like telling me that i do not now the difference between East and West when anybody says the dish is W3 or Sirius. I once said impossible is nothing. Anybody around Idi ope, Ajeigbe area in Ibadan can send me a mail and we can arrange to go and check the dish together.

On a lighter note which transponder has the highest signal level that i can use in tracking Nilesat?
I am planning on checking the bird again with a 2.4m mesh dish, Fuji lnb and 4653x/4663x strong decoders.

@Enitan

I am still waiting for your explanation. The dish cannot be facing W3 or Sirius.
They are facing the WEST but W3 and Sirius is from the EAST.
It is just a pity that i cannot take a picture of the dish and post it.
I have both W3 and Sirius dishes at home and the dishes i am talking about is just about 3mins walk away from my house so i do not expect the change in direction and elevation that i saw on the dishes.

@ ALL

Thanks for all the congratulatory messages, ti yin na ade o.

I made a strange but yet to be confirmed discovery.
Anytime i walk or drive around my eyes are always fix at walls and roof tops trying to see who has what in terms of dish sizes and direction.
On one of my numerous observations i discovered a satellite facing an unfamiliar direction.
I intially thought it was for sirius but looking closely after many days i discovered it is not.
I did not count the information worthy of sharing until i saw another dish facing the same direction.
The really fascinating thing is that at the two locations that i have seen the dishes the cables run into a live football viewing center.
These are the descriptions
The dish is facing the west.
At both locations the dish size is 90cm.
The elevation of the dish is even higher than W3 & Sirius. it will be very close to zero as the dish is pointing directly at the sky.
I am looking at lyngsat and some other resources online to identify the bird.

@ Enitan

You be yeye boy o
Why didn't you respond to my yahoo I'm messages.
Ok, i will change my user id to Becky or funmi and try again

@ All

I was away from this forum for just three days but it looked like three years.

My absence gave me the opportunity to welcome a bundle of joy.
At about 1840Hrs GMT on Thursday my wife delivered a bouncing baby girl.
I surely have a partner now so i will be giving Nilesat a shot again with my 2.4m mesh dish on sunday or Monday.
I am also raising a capital expenditure of about N728bn not for the naming ceremony as that might be too much but to buy a special Alsatian guard dog to scare away people like enitan from my little beauty.

On Adewest,
We really need to be careful the way we welcome new comers here.
Yes we have had some nuisances on the forum before who deserved the hostility they got but how many people like adewest have we sent away with our WE KNOW IT ALL attitude. There were comments concerning adewest that could have made him just turn his back to our ignorance. Some few post back, someone was also lashing out at dvbguy. Though i have not met him in person but the way he related with me on the offline downloading thing show how gentlemanly he is. This you can all confirm on the offline downloading thread.

It is not too pleasant to think that every new commer here is not worthy of our trust even when they say things that we think are ridiculous or impossible. We all know that in the world of technology IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING!

Adewest please keep the good work going!!!
