What a huge risk this reporter took. Thank God he came back alive |

You must be reading upside down. Hence, a reason I advised to wash your brains with Omo detergent. At this rate, you need to add Jik to bleach and format your brain cells. Our economy is facing a serious challenge as a result of falling oil prices. Oil revenue seems to be Nigeria's main revenue source i.e. Foreign Exchange (i.e. Dollars). What Emefiele and his co-conspirators were doing was to take dollars from the Treasury account and disburse to Jonathan's friends on the Jonathan's firm authorisation. Consequently, depleting our foreign reserves that should be used for useful things. Please, these monies were not accounted for. I will love to go deeper with the analysis, but first, I have some important stuff to do. Second, I would prefer you request humbly. |
porka:Sure. Just like we are expected to hold Buharis accountable for his actions and inactions |
Obasanjo is not on twitter |
Blastfinito:Sanusi was forced to resigned. He did so out of respect for the President. The CBN governor is autonomous and should be seen and act independently. It is not a Bank for the President. Jonathan acted selfishly. He was only interested in becoming president. He did not sort out how he intend to finance his campaign. He abused his power by dipping his hands into the Treasury pot of both the CBN and the NNPC. He was not interested if the economy suffer. Jonathan's act was more than selfishness, it is an act of wickedness. Politicians around the world beg the general public to support their campaign through donations. Even the APC, surprisingly, requested for donations. Jonathan took our national treasury and shared it amongst his friends, the same friends that should have contributed towards his reelection. Another wicked act of the former president, was the method in siphoning the money. He deliberately utilized the crisis and insurgency in the north east to steal money at the expense of people lives - Jonathan you are very wicked. The God of Nigeria will punish you and your generations born and unborn. |
teebaxy:This is a very annoying comment. Have you analyze how the money was shared. It was not exclusively to the North, there was no ethnicity sharing ratio. Only friends and business interest to Jonathan got a piece of the cake. Please go and use Omo detergent to wash your brains so you can think straight. For me I don't care who becomes the new CBN governor because at the moment, we are undergoing an economic depression. Banks are downsizing, with the NCC fine on MTN, I expect them to begin to downsize too. Even state governors are crying wolf on salary payment. The CBN don't have enough foreign reserve to protect our naira. Oil prices will further go down. So why will I care if an Hausa man who I know will not succumb to presidential will take over and do a decent job. |
aieromon:Emefiele was nominated by the President and not appointed. As CBN governor, he is autonomous and independent. He should not be a puppet to the puppeteer. His primary concern should be that of the country's welfare and not damage the very economy he is expected to protect. What will be his position when Bank's CEO squander shareholders and depositors funds? That is exactly what he has done and he should made to pay for it. |
In my own opinion, I think the CBN governor's appointment, including members of the CBN board should be sack, not resignation, complete termination of appointment and the EFCC should go after them. No wonder PDP wanted Sanusi out by all means |
The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) practically emptied its vaults apparently to finance the presidential campaign of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), sources conversant with investigations into security spending in the last administration have informed TheCable. TheCable had earlier reported the extra-budgetary disbursement of N40 billion to the office of the national security adviser and N20 billion to the Department of State Services (DSS) by the CBN, but fresh revelations indicate that the monies were released in dollar cash — contrary to all money laundering regulations. They were taken directly from the dollar reserve vaults of the central bank, TheCable understands.https://www.thecable.ng/exclusive-how-emefiele-emptied-cbns-vaults-to-finance-pdps-presidential-election |
Pretentious human beings. Subjecting yourself to security screening should not be a sporting activity or popularity contest. Did he subject himself to thorough screening as a governor? I don't blame our politicians, I blame us for not doing our civic duties in calling out these fools |
armadeo:Exactly, let us put it to vote like civilised people and not roaming around the street naked. |
Are you guys reading how this money is being shared. Ethnicity/tribalism wasn't considered, religion affiliation wasn't considered. This money was shared amongst friends and party interest to benefit themselves and their family members. This is to draw the attention of people who deliberately decided to be ignorant citing marginalization or ethnicity as their reason for grievances. Please note these thieves are not seeing you. |
koastar:They are exposing themselves. Coincidentally, Nigerians knew who the sponsors were. However, they are squealing now |
Now I understand why Buhari is taking this issue personal |
Until the day the police repel a bank robbery attack instead of running away then I will know they are serious |
Grundig:Your comment is very funny. This is a litigation against the Bank probably as a result of a transaction that went bad. Almost all financial institutions in the country have litigation cases against them. |
Jessam:I agree with you. For me, I think first, it's a propaganda activity to pull public accolade. Second, probably an excuse to transfer funds into private pockets. |
This is a good initiative but I don't support the idea because it would be financed by state funds and the normal Nigeria syndrome of selfishness and greed steps in. Also, it would be manage by the state which equally means state funds would be used for working capital and when the government gets tired, they would stop and the initiative dies. Whilst I cannot comment thoroughly on this because I do not know the strategic objectives of the state government in setting up the coconut factory, I will have to congratulate the governor and his team for thinking |
A young man just wasted his life. How many more will learn from this. RIP don't be stupid when next you come to this world |
I agree with you. All these monies were transferred from CBN. Hence the CBN governor should be arrested |
We should not blame our ladies, our society has demonized sex, religious houses have even personalized sex as the devil. Ladies have three battles to fight - ethical/moral grounds for sex, religious stigmatization and even deceitful intentions of the demanding male partner. So if your lady is giving it to you, be grateful and cherish her. On the other hand, ladies should begin to express their sexuality and change the Stone Age idea of sex. I think any enjoyable act is a good act, just like alcohol consumption and smoking, but don't develop a habit out of it. |
demarc001:Laughs that na normal thing. She wants to tell the world that she has a lovely husband. I would advise not to do this again. Enjoy your husband privately, because there are eagle eyes girls on the loose |
I don't believe the veracity of this story but I enjoyed reading it and glad that the editor allowed the publication. Good to put some fear into the heart of wicked politicians |
Let me express my opinion. The alleged actress, whom I don't know, was seeking attention by posting both her pics and that of her daughter. The harsh tongue follower had no right to speak to her in such manner. However, I am glad the harsh tongue follower came back very hard on the alleged actress. |
I find this news hard to believe and if it is true, it is very disrespectful. Regardless of our perception, Jonathan is a former president of this country. Only a few can attain that height in occupying the highest office of the land. He must be respected. I hope the culprits would scream out their sponsors |
mikolo80:My thought exactly. Can we imagine that we import sardines? What is sardines - Titus fish and groundnut oil. Even sugar . Sugar is Mauritius main export and their economy is better than Nigeria |
Have we started producing what we need in this country? About 70% of the food we consume are imported. Let's out start patronizing our own home made products and be less dependent on imported stuff. |
I thought Buhari was the change we wanted. I argued for him, supported him and prayed for him. However, it appears that he never took his promises seriously. I wonder how he intend to fight corruption if corrupt officers secretly return funds without any prosecution. |
Those Audu's kids may go free because of the statue of limitation, however, the damage to their reputation has been done. |
Joejonah:Damn this was so funny |
Something is wrong. People only visit Baba when there is an issue. Maybe the Presidency intend to sack Arase and he is trying to appease the President. |
The Federal Government must be careful about this before we have a Nigerian Mandela situation in our hands |
