This assumption should be quickly debunked. An equal equivalent of the naira to the dollar is unhealthy for our economy. Moreover, we do not have the required production capacity to create such possibility. The only way to achieved that is by simply fixing the price for dollars. On the other hand, giving the present situation in the oil markets, where many more suppliers are entering into the market, there would be a huge decline for Nigerian oil. The best way to do this, is create more alternatives for oil. However, when you ask the government, they will tell you Agriculture and that is the dumbest response so far. We have nollywood and Afro music, we have young people with talents that can invest in the next big thing, we have textile companies, there is solid minerals. The basic thing is to create a world wide demand for our products i.e creating essential commodities that the world wants regardless of the price. Till then we should stop dreaming about one naira equally one dollar and I wonder how come Buhari allowed that as part of his campaign programs. |
I don't believe this. However, I may agree that the recent Bank robberies being carried are from the same group. The police are running around on a goose chase and this nefarious group is changing their tactics and recruiting more people. |
These guys dey look for money anyhow. That's how broke Nigeria is |
ednut1:I agree with you on some points. However, you should know that there are poor welfare packages in Banks. Most of the bonuses are enjoyed by Top Executives. |
I don't support this directive. What was the basis for the ban? |
Rawani:You are a comedian. |
igboboy3:Best believe, she was carried away with the success. She also said she could beat every woman in her division with one hand. Laughed when Holly beat the arrogance out of her. Now she knows she must work harder. Anyways I admired she took UFC and made it a bit popular but she must remember pride comes before a fall. Just read on yahoo that she has been hospitalized. |
Gawd, I cannot believe this excuse. I'm lost for words to express my irritation. |
We must continue to encourage and praise our gallant soldiers, who, first, are putting their lives at risk to ensure maximum security in the country. However, I am afraid that the target date of December to eradicate these wicked terrorist group may not be achieved. It has been reported that the annual budget for Boko Haram to perpetrate their wicked act is $10 million dollars per year. How do they lay their hands on these huge funds? Even if Boko Haram is eradicated, we may witness some offshoots of radical sects. Shekau has already predicted this in the past. The ideology, which I like to call Strategy, is the problem. To me, this is now a business which profits the wicked. Are the wicked ones the weapon manufacturing companies, who intend to increase their wealth? Are the wicked ones the anonymous fund providers who profits from chaos? Intelligent agencies must identify the wicked ones who profits from these acts. These are the people who should suffer for the thousands who have died. |
^^^^ your assumption is not new or strange. The United States has directly or indirectly supported terrorist group in the past. The boiling tension in the Middle East is caused by the United States. They arm rebel groups and in turn arm potential terrorists who find their way to Europe or America. The same theory is applicable to Nigerians. Politicians are responsible for the huge crimes we are witnessing. They arm miscreants and militants in order to win elections, now, this nefarious human beings with weapon turnaround to rob and kill innocent citizens. |
Image laundering by his public relations team. We only hope that his visit promises better results |
President Buhari is unpredictable. He initially mentioned that Ministers are noisemakers and the job is actually done by the permanent secretaries. Now, he is sacking the permanent secretaries ahead on the swear-in meeting of ministers. No reason was given for the sack. |
He appears to be scared. Well he should. |
datguru:Good for you since you belong to the group of persons that carries out illegitimate businesses in the country. That is exactly what the BVN was designed to do. |
Ignorant fool |
[quote author=mazeltov post=39821176]The protest is not even my concern, my concern is the irresponsible way they have been spamming in the political section on nairaland. I'm not against any tribe, biafra or whatever they call themselves but for God's sake, they should at least titrate modesty and decency into what they are doing. They are constituting nuisance here on nairaland and if care is not taken, this might in one way or the other, affect the quality and growth of this platform. If Seun is reading this, please you and your moderators need to act fast and do something to checkmate this activities of these overfed and underfed kids or else it would erode the quality of service on this platform. Thanks[/quote Seun Please Note This. |
EternalTruths:I think this is a good way to stop the madness. Let the agitators put their popularity to test. |
Mutuwa:You must not be in touch with the news. Who told you South Sudan went peacefully? Please do your research. |
malton:He was sacked by the board. Resignation is the usual word for sacking top management |
This is a clear case of corporate governance rascality on the part of MTN. They were fully aware of the penalities for not complying. What were their excuses? Even if NCC do not enforce the fine, it shows how poorly the board of directors govern the company. |
noblezone:Yes you are very correct and because touts seized the idea, there have been no peace since then. This protest will be hijacked by senseless people |
Johnrake69:Exactly my brother. Why not demand for a better livelihood but guess what - this was sponsored by friends of Nnamdi, who move from state to state to organize the protest |
When you fight corruption, corruption tends to fight back |
jomoh:If this speech can incite people to protest then you should be grateful than you are intelligent. The movement is nothing but a fraud. The government made a mistake in arresting him. Free him. Let him go. Nnamdi has no plan |
Nnamdi Kalu is an opportunist. The death of Ojukwu created in him an idea he never truly fathomed. Now, poor miserable and gullible Ibo youths, who think having a country of their own would make them better off, see Nnamdi as a leader. These youth would never blame themselves but the government for any mishaps in their lives. They blame the government for having no education. They blame the government for having no skills. They also blame the government for having no jobs. They search for external reasons other than inward. Now, here comes a messiah with a glimpse of hope - a new country where all things would hold. They never wondered why the Ibo elders, especially those who experienced the hard times, have kept mum. |
If this letter is from Nnamdi then I must consider him a low life. I thought highly of him in the sense of his desire, but I must reconsider now. Reading this letter showed how poorly informed he must be and I also counted the number of I's he made. The liberator indeed. I find his ambition rather selfish and a means to achieve sustenance. This letter can only misinform the gullible youths who protest in the street. Clearly, Nnamdi has no plan other than being infamous |
I am beginning to have a rethink about the activities and objectives of Boko Haram. I do not want to express my reasons which may act as tip off for reprisal attacks. However, I feel the governing council of the radical sect are using the sect to score political points and also make money. I remember vividly, the military's threat to northern elders to stop meddling into the sects affairs and threatening to expose them. Convincingly, there is more to Boko Haram than what the general public is made to believe. |
The senator is right. PDP has reclined back like a snail. It appears that the party was structured as a chop I chop party. The party chieftains and big wigs are more quiet than a street mouse. Nigerians are hoping for a formidable opposition, one that will challenge the policy decision of the ruling party. |
Without sentiment, mourinho should be sacked. This is the same team that won the premiership without flinching a muscle last season. Mourinho cannot figure out the problem. There seem to be a disconnect and lack of confidence on the part of the players. A new coach would bring a new vibes do energy. At least to ensure that Chelsea do not go on relegation because at the moment nothing is stopping Chelsea from going down |
queebeediva:Women and wishing for freebies. I was in shock when a lady told me that one of her friends, who visited her, stole her clothes. WTF (Used Clothes) |
Is this news true? This is a supermarket that is always packed full. How did the fire start and allowed to spread without fighting it. It would be shocking if they supermarket had no fire extinguisher. |
I have made a conscious effort not to go to Linda Ikeji site. It is painful that someone profits from mocking other people. It hurts when your private life is out in public domain. Linda is like the secondary school bully, who has fun seeing other people cry |
