onatisi:Sure with the assistance of the military that is so possible. On fair terms, I don't think PDP will cross the midway |
CuteMaro:To do him a little good, he was not alone. His co-debaters did the same. We can all sit in the comfort of our homes and throw tantrums but when you come on national television, it is totally embarrassing for you to engage in you in-door habits. I was ashamed for them, team PDP felt like the opposition party. There was also a total disconnect in the debate and it appears to me to be based on personalities rather than party manifestos and agenda. Team PDP were trying hard to make nigerians forget that they have been in power for 16 years and so little to show for it. Is Jonathan operating on a different manifesto? |
I just finished watching the debate on YouTube and I want to thank Ebuka and his team for a nice job. I would be honest, maybe because of time constraint, both teams were unable to address fundamental concerns the way I wanted it (my own opinion). However, the APC team did a better job than the PDP team. In normal circumstances, I would be expecting the opposition to come out criticising and insulting but they showed maturity and explained clearly what they intend to do. Team PDP/GEJ spent 90 percent of their allotted time insulting the presidential candidate of the APC and failed to tell Nigerians what PDP would do in the next 4 years. I really wanted to know how Jonathan would expand our dying economy and I did not hear anything but cows owned by Buhari and fertilizers, when we still spend trillions importing food in this country. I also was not satisfied with the explanation from the APC team, but they were clear on how they want to expand the economy and provide jobs. I like the alternative market scheme for sourcing finance for small business. That is a wonderful idea if implemented and also the asset based finance scheme for small farmers. I also liked how the PDP team were trashed when falsifying the percentage growth of agriculture to the gdp, which is actually 5 percent and N60 billion spent to buy phones for farmers (priority waste for me). The service sector has been the major contributor to the GDP. The APC team came from a purview of facts and statistics and I am ashamed that team PDP approach their debate from a degoratory stand view, an approach I would have thought the APC would adopt. Security was a sensitive discussion and team PDP admitted the president started off badly. The APC team reminded them that with a huge recurrent expenditure for security, you would never get it right. Team APC failed to explain how their presidential candidate would handle security. Even if Boko Haram is wiped off, there are still other insecurity issues in the country. Team PDP did not also elaborate any further. So I would take it that both team do not have clue on how to tackle insecurity. In conclusion, team PDP found it so difficult to sell their product, which I considered to be bad product. |
Gr8amechi:Exactly. That is what I keep telling Jonathan supporters. |
deltateam:This is a biased and childish comment. Let me address your brain Buhari has every right to contest for the president irrespective of his age. If he dies, I believe there is a competent vice president to sheer the ship to shore based on their party manifesto. Buhari's death is nothing to be afraid of. I cannot remember Buhari making such statement. Please provide evidence. Buhari's administration was truncated by a palace coup in 1986. Also, that was an illegal military administration. Funny enough Jonathan has done 6 years what is he looking for again? So, lets put all these nonsense apart and held to the polls. Let nigerians decide. |
@ OP do you want us to rate the president? |
Rad1cal:I don't understand your writeup, hence difficult for me to address you. I have offered advice on the best way the president should have responded free of charge. If you make love to your wife in the private recess of your home and suddenly in order to show or prove public display of affection, decided to do so publicly - what does that make of you. The world knows the president is more fit than Buhari, of course that should be the case, given their age difference. However, clamouring or rallying for support based on that is a stupid idea and calling sports men to eagles square, all for reason to jump around in public gaze is a ridiculous idea. Whoever, suggested such to the president is sick upstairs and I am embarrassed and shocked the president concurred to it. I have studied the president's campaign and it is appalling. I have also studied APCs campaign and I must confess, though the APC should do more because they are the opposition, they appear to be more better organised and creative than the president's campaign team. People were asking why did Buhari go to Chatham to make a speech, is Nigerians going to vote in the UK? However, that was a clever attempt to get the west to be sympathetic to their course and beginning to see Buhari as a redeemer and "Boy o Boy" the speech was powerful too. Now I wonder, why didn't the Jonathan campaign team think in such light. They only think of how to bribe and funny enough the wrong people are the ones being bribed. What an approach for support. I shake my head. |
bishopjoe02:The march is a solidarity march. Do you know what solidarity means? I will not support him to be out in the sun at his age to do such rigorous walk. He is old, will you dumb people get it for once. Buhari is old and not young but he is of strong mind. If the president is not aware, he should be ashamed that people prefer an old man to him. Naturally, Nigerians should reject the choice of Buhari but the cling and yearn for him. |
Rad1cal:Yes I am sympathetic to their cause because I want change. The party is the closest that has been able to communicate such to Nigerians. I want change because the economic situation in Nigeria is bad. I want change because the security condition in Nigeria is horrible. I want change because I spend so much on fuel. I want change because I am worried that if I incur so much on the cost of education for my child, gaining employment may be a dream. I want change because this present administration is wasteful and corrupt. I want change because the President, whom I consider to be a good man, is surrounded by charlatans, dead brains, sycophants and pocket thinkers. I want change because the Chibok girls, who have been missing for close to a year, are still missing. I want change because Boko Haram threatens our sovereignty and my Northern brothers and sisters are dying. I want change because I believe that our military should be professional and not political. Is it a crime to want administration CHANGE? If the president had done all these, do you think we would even blink at Buhari. |
bishopjoe02:The General is not Jonathan, who you can tell or sell anything to especially dumb things. Yes the general is not young and must adhere to things that are not rigorous. It is like being a diabetic patient and engaging in sugar. For PDP to continue to remind Nigerians of this assertion is continuance of their foolishness and a lack of depth in their campaign strategy. Let me remind staunch PDP supporters that as an independent apolitical citizen, I find this strategy ridiculous and I am embarrassed that my president gave concurrence to this. I consider the March more meaningful than a public physical work-out routine. |
mikeansy:Please they don't do it for show-off but for their own personal well-being. |
elantraceey:A huge fool of himself and I stand to be corrected. If the president intends to work out, which I believe he does everyday, it should be within the confines of his privacy and not a childish show-off. The president should be taking time to convince Nigerians on reasons why he should be re-elected. If the president can agree to this, I just wonder the other nonsense he agrees to. I repeat, this continues to display the dead brains the president has surrounded himself with. If the campaign team feels showing the president working out depicts agility; I am sorry because I only see a man, who claims to be president, embarrassing himself. Now let me teach the campaign team of the president how to respond, because it seems they lack ideas. If I were in the president's campaign team, I will suggest to him to respond with a million march on all 35 states in the country including Abuja. The Governors and party leaders should coordinate in their respective states, while the president leads from Abuja. NTA and AIT would do a LIVE coverage using their state correspondence. That is how you respond and not a mockery of stretching your physical body. |
Desric:What do you expect when you have the clueless FFK running your campaign. They are out of ideas and out of their depth. The only innovating thing they can come up with is bribing. Funny enough they keep bribing the wrong people. So much for a presidential campaign and speaks volume of what this president would do if elected. |
omenka:We know all these. How he ended up being our president it just simply unbelievable. I just pray history forgets about him and Nigeria moves on with a part of Jonathan cut out. I still respect him as my president but truly unhappy with his demeanour, incoherent speeches and performance. |
holatin:I like your analysis, but I will like you to support it with evidence. |
This administration should just throw in the towels. Nobody will believe their intentions, whether genuine or otherwise. |
This is a beautiful writeup. |
mrmetoo1:Thank you for saying everything I intended to say without going through the stress of typing them out. I think the President should caution FFK. If the battle is for the struggle of the undecided, then it should stop because I believe many Nigerians have decided already and provocative statements like this would only heat up the polity. The media campaign of the president should focus on the issues and tell Nigerians what they will do if re-elected, I am yet to read this and at the moment, I am becoming more scared by the day if Jonathan wins the election because I have not read anything positive from his media group and I do not know what he would do in the next 4 years, all I read is transformation agenda and I have yet to fully understand and appreciate what Jonathan's Transformation Agenda is all about. On the other hand, I feel sorry for the APC because if they do not respond to allegations like this, the vulnerable of gullible public may assume them to be true. However, it is not good for our development and our nascent democracy. |
maclatunji:Is jonathan young? |
Dele Momodu why are you talking to the president of Nigeria like that. Your open letter is very rude. You cannot speak in such manner to our beloved president. What do you want the First husband to say? Let us not mince words, Patience is actually the president of this country (De Facto President). Jonathan is ceremonial. She is the one with the balls. Nice letter by the way |
I am still skeptical about your company. I will state my reasons below - Is your company an African company doing business in North Africa? - Payment issues. Not accepting Nigerian cards is not convenient, especially at this time when sourcing for dollars is such a strenuous exercise. - Grammatical errors. I noticed so many grammatical errors on your post. At first, I tolerated them while assuming that the poster(s), either yourself or designated staff members, were not doing enough proofreading to correct the errors. A company must be known for professionalism and consistent grammatical errors by employees speaks volumes about its recruitment policy and this may affect the psyche of customers perception to service delivery. - Customer Testimonials - I also observed that the videos on customer testimonials are restricted to Ghanians judging from the accents. This observation led to my first question above. Typically, if a company is resident in a particular geographical location, I would assume that most of its customers should be residents from that same location. If Canadians are not considering patronising your services/products; why should I? To also clear the air, I know Canadians also purchase used vehicles and like you previously claimed, you sell new cars too. I would be expecting a good convincing response from you and please note that I am not considering your company a fraud, but just to be sure that your are serious enough and possess the required professional expertise in your field. Thanks. |
Export1:Then why are you trying to do business with Nigerians? A potential customer just gave you a suggestion which I consider a huge privilege. You should be working on it and resolving the problem. If your payment merchant don't accept nigerian cards, go subscribe to other payment merchants. |
I wonder what is this nonsense all about. Are you guys too blind to observe that jonathan wears the same grey cloth and hat everyday too! There choice of clothing has nothing to do with the issue, it is their personal brand |
Mr president thank you for expressing yourself. Please continue to express your displeasure on the nigerian president. He wants to be acknowledged for a war he never initiated. Please waste no time to spot the complicity and collaboration our military has with Boko haram. The deceit must stop |
The Benin-ore road used as campaign tool is yet to be completed. A government never advertise what it has done, everybody sees it. GEJ administration - a well conceived fraud |
I don't understand this president. I reserve my comments |
Do you reside in a face me apartment coz I don't understand how what occurs in the privacy of one's apartment can bother you |
Pictures don't lie |
chukwudi44:First and foremost do you know how a coup is being staged and how old are you? I stand to be corrected Babaginda masterminded the January 01 1984 coup and various military officers played their part. Buhari had scores to settle with Umaru Dikko (transportation minister) the brother-in-law to Shagari for authorising unknown persons to monitor his movement after he ignored presidential orders to retreat from chasing the chadians rebels. Now, these same politicised military officers were holding office during the Obasanjo/Yaradua regime and they were hungry for more. The chief coup plotters/master minds in this country are Babaginda, Abacha, Nyako, David West (Senate President) but I will zero down Babaginda and Abacha - as they would rightly say - they have always been involved in every successful coup staged in this country and Abacha was also notorious for disarming coup plotters. A brief history for you incase you don't know, have forgotten or was just given birth to yesterday. |
OREMUSSANCTUS:The youths are busy watching MTVbase. |
OREMUSSANCTUS:Actually the coup was spearheaded by Babaginda and Buhari was selected to head the Supreme Military Council. Buhari also played a major role in the coup. Whether Buhari refused or not, the military was going to topple that government because of wide-spread corruption, confusion and violence. |
