First and foremost, if the woman is truly sick a hospital confinement is what she needs and not illegal detention at the government house. I believe there is more to this story that the public is yet to know.

Also, I don't know why people generally refer saharareporter news as junk journalism. This is an online publication that has uncover so many hidden stories that other widespread newspapers are devouring and re-circulating. If they had not uncover this story, that woman will not be getting the attention she truly deserves. How saharareporters get their news I don't know but they do something other newspapers need to copy - They investigate.

Politics › Re: Human Rights Commission Lied, They Took Bribe From My Husband - Mrs Clara Chime. by Boss13: 12:18pm On Nov 09, 2013
I don't understand the ranting. What does Chime's Wife wants? She wants to go out and visit friends or is she tired of the marriage? From the look of things, I just don't understand. Her behaviour does not sound rational. If she is tired of the marriage, she should scream and seek for divorce.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghana's Minister Sacked Over $1m Claim by Boss13: 8:02pm On Nov 08, 2013
I believe this thread is not about whether Ghana is better than Nigeria but about a President making the right decision irrespective of his personal interest. The concerned lady played a vital role in his election. However, he had to do what he felt right in order to have public confidence.

Peeps we should remember that the woman was only expressing her ambition and yet to actually commit the crime. Yet the govt felt if she could think it, she would achieve it and to the detriment of the public. Another interesting thing is that we don't know if she was actually thinking of saving her salary or gifts from contractors.

In our beloved country, the concerned person will say - enemies of progress are after them and it was actually a set-up. A member of the house of rep. was caught red-handed with bribe and what became the outcome of that case?

Oduah played a huge role in Jonathan's election and I believe that is the sentiment playing in her issue. She still attends Federal executive meetings, she is still performing her role as minister and yet she is under investigation. Won't such person confiscate evidences?

If this issue (Oduah's gate) turns out to be a cold case, it is enough reason for me not to vote for Jonathan in the next election irrespective of whether we have constant power supply or he kills shekau.

I am also ashamed this corruption which has serious repercussions is been admired and hailed by my eastern brothers. We do not know the extent this scandal goes because our journalists are lazy to investigate further.

If NCAA keeps paying interest for a loan that is not use to improve its activities, where will they get the money to make our air space safe. Of course, more planes will drop from the skies and our darling minister will tell us that each accident is an act of God in her brand new armored BMWs.

Foreign Affairs › Re: Ghana's Minister Sacked Over $1m Claim by Boss13: 4:15pm On Nov 08, 2013
Clearly a country that puts public interest first. She is yet to steal the money but was relieved. We have our own Hon. Minister of Aviation who has finish eaten the money but is still currently serving and claiming she is innocent. The committee setup by the president is taking forever to conclude their investigation. EFCC is slow to investigate and House of Representative is trying to alter their report because it leaked out to the press.

The comparison is clear for the world to see. Ghana is growing from strength to strength and boosting public confidence, Nigeria has institutionalized corruption and consolidating it into the constitution.
Politics › Re: The Harm Nigeria Does To The North by Boss13: 2:33pm On Nov 08, 2013
The problem with the North is their leaders. I agree with the writer. How do you expect someone with an IQ of 2 to compete. The quota system makes the north less competitive. There is nothing wrong with the northerners, a change of mindset would set the pace.

Family › Re: Why Is Divorce Not An Option For Most Nigerian Women? by Boss13: 8:44am On Nov 08, 2013
Just as the women folks are advocating publicly against domestic violence (which is good), the men too should start advocating against domestic violence perpetrated by women. A nagging woman cannot be justified and excused. An abusive woman cannot be excused. A physically abusive woman cannot be excused too. Like I said, we need to respect the emotions, feelings and body of our partner.

Men should not keep quiet and swallow things and only end up physically attacking their partners. There is need for awareness and the need to let women know that their behaviour too is a form of violence that is inhumane and unjustifiable.

A woman who constantly nags and abuse her husband is a wicked and mad woman. A man who beats his wife is a mad man
Family › Re: Why Is Divorce Not An Option For Most Nigerian Women? by Boss13: 7:06am On Nov 08, 2013
Many of us see the physical punch as domestic violence, what about the derogatory words, the verbal assaults, the insults, the words use to mentally destabilize a person. While I am totally against any form of violence, I believe we should be fair with our advocacy. Women who beat or use derogatory words on their house-helps, kids and husbands are violent women and also engage in domestic violence. Such women are not suppose to cry foul if they are victims because they also engage in it.

We should all learn to respect the feels, emotions and body of our loved ones, family and friends. A fire doesn't get ignited unless a match is struck.

There are so many men and children who face domestic violence and abusive wives everyday in their homes. I think if we really want to get to stop domestic violence, we must curb the root cause and be frank with ourselves that domestic violence is not just a one way affair.

Christianity Etc › Re: People Argue that Moses Saw God. How True Is This? by Boss13: 4:42pm On Nov 03, 2013
Goshen360: Today we keep bastardizing scriptures without careful investigation\study and allow the Holy Spirit to help our understand and\or interpretation. How do we treat scriptures that looks contradictory? One thing I know is, scriptures don't contradict themselves except for the fact that we are too lazy to study\investigate to allow perfect interpretations. Now, read this,

King James Bible
And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory. And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy. And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live. Exodus 33:18-20

Question: What did Moses asked to see?
Answer: God's GLORY

Question: What did God said Moses cannot see?
Answer: God's FACE

What is the interpretation?
God's glory if seen or experience is as though God's face is seen. We need to begin to pay careful attention to details and context plus follow conversation in our study.

Otherwise, God Himself will be lying and these scriptures will also be lying - John 1:18, John 6:46. Moses never saw God face-to-face though the expression is literal but it was God's glory seen as though God's face seen demonstrated through the 'angel of God's presence' (Isaiah 63:9). When he, Moses received the law, it was God speaking face-to-face with him via His glory through the angel of God's presence.

New Living Translation
Why, then, was the law given? It was given alongside the promise to show people their sins. But the law was designed to last only until the coming of the child who was promised. God gave his law through angels to Moses, who was the mediator between God and the people. Galatians 3:19
Stop reading to please yourself. This is a book written a thousand years ago.

Ladipo was closed down because of sanitation problems and the traders were ONLY requested to clean the market and not pay money. Please stop dissemination false stories.

A man should be made a governor because he sends people to school. Better still, he should focus on his philanthropy agenda since it gives him joy to help people. We must not be politicians to make a difference and be recognize.

For me, if he wants to help Anambra he can still do so and not by being a governor.
