Politics › Re: El-rufai Posts Cramjones Expose On His Facebook Via A Nlder by Boss13: 5:14pm On Jan 02, 2014
If Jonathan is busy putting up mercenaries towards 2015 elections, why is he yet to express his desire to run for election? I saw the headlines - "Jonathan to fight corruption more". What a new year insult to Nigerians. He can publicly admit that there is corruption and that he has not been doing anything about it. Nobody is hearing about the $10billion revenue that the NNPC is yet to remit. Oduahgate have been thrown aside. Are we not a mockery of ourselves.

cramjones: I won't reveal myself and I am not Aminu Gamawa...The only clue I can give about my identity is this:

1. I am an APC stalwart

2. I was once in the PDP when I believed in it.

3. I once served the government in some capacity.

4. I am a very close friends to Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Nasir El-Rufai.

That is the much I can go in revealing who I am. I would NEVER say anything else about my identity. I am simply CramJones...Follow me as we approach the 2015 Elections. We must sweep the Jonathanians away!
Then you are FFK. I went through some of your previous posts. In as much that I agree with you on Jonathan not being able to handle the state of affairs in this country, I must also condemn your previous write-ups on other ethnic groups. Like you claim above to have previously served in government, you must grow above tribal and ethnic issues.

aysuccess99: I don't like to argue but I have to post this whether you believe it or not, the 2013 prophecy by Dr. D.K Olukoya, came to pass. Let's look at the issue of great spark of rebellion, ASUU strike and other strikes is a good example, also the political crisis in the nation is also a great sign of the spark of rebellion. And other prophecies came to pass. And Thank God that you know Christ, the Bible said touch not my anointed and do my prophet no harm. So mind what you say about pastors and prophets. Leave everything to God to judge the evil pastors, don't judge.
Happy New Year.
Oga this is Nigeria. These things are bound to happen when you have a leader that doesn't want to act right. It's just like me prophesying that Boko Haram will strike. That is not prophesy, Boko Haram will actually strike because our military is yet to curb them. You don't need fake MOGs to tell you that. I refuse to be gullible.

cramjones: Neither myself or El-Rufai knows who Aminu Gamawa is. I believe he is either a Nairalander or an outside observer. One thing I know is that Aminu PLAGIARIZED some of the things I wrote when he described the expose..making me believe he is probably one of you Nlanders. Also, I know though is that El-Rufai as an APC elder has the document. However, he decided to post a snipet of Aminu's description which I am very sure some of it was copied from Nairaland.
I was thinking you are Aminu Gamawa. So if you ain't Aminu Gamawa, who are you? There is no harm to reveal yourself given the type of information you possessed. Though I have enjoyed reading from you today.

Politics › Two FG Ministries To Spend N303m On Typewriters, PR - Punch by Boss13(op): 6:27am On Dec 31, 2013
The ministries of Information and Interior are to spend N303m on image laundering abroad and typewriters in 2014.

The sum is part of the details of the 2014 budget proposals submitted to the National Assembly by the Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala.

The Information ministry will spend N300m on external publicity/media insertions in foreign print and electronic media in selected cities.

According the budget, the money will also be spent on engagement with foreign news agencies, and production of specialised publicity materials for foreign audience.

The details also showed that the Interior ministry would spend N3m on the purchase of typewriters during the year.

Another curious aspect of the ministry’s budget is its plan to spend N3m on Human Immunodeficiency Virus. It also intends to spend N3m on the refurbishment and upgrade of its intercom extension and N5m on letter bomb detectors.

The budget’s details also indicate that the development of social media platforms and networking with other platforms will cost the Information ministry N50m in 2014.

The production of calendars and dairies by the ministry will gulp N201, 347,699 the same year.

Nationwide media tour of Federal Government projects and hosting of town hall meetings by the Minister of Information is billed to cost N241m.

The Minister, Mr. Labaran Maku, had towards the end of 2012 initiated the Good Governance Tour which has so far taken selected media professionals, public servants and civil society groups to four out of the six geopolitical zones in the country.

The tour ran into controversy when Edo State Governor, Mr. Adams Oshiomhole, and Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, distanced themselves from it.

Oshiomhole, in particular, contended that he did not need the team to validate that he was working for the people of Edo State.

It was not certain as of press time if the nationwide media tour mentioned in the budget is another initiative of the ministry or a continuation of the Good Governance Tour.

Another N130m will be spent on ministerial platforms and press briefings on national events while the development of a National Policy on Information and the hosting of the National Council on Information are to gulp N30m.

For the production of various publications on government policies and programmes, the ministry plans to spend N65m in 2014 .Public enlightenment and mobilisation on Vision 2020 in collaboration with Ministries, Departments and Agencies and external bodies on the transformation agenda of the government will gulp another N55m.

The ministry plans to spend N80m on human capital development, N10m on the promotion of Made-in-Nigeria products and N35m on ‘capacity building for budget monitoring of projects and financial monitoring in line with transformation agenda’.

Other major expenditures of the ministry include N25m for the production of jingles on progress made on the transformation agenda, N51m for the purchase of digital machines, and N30m on public enlightenment and national security campaigns awareness.

Various sums of money will also be spent by the ministry on the development of web portals and construction of Local Area Networks.

Curiously, the sum of N214, 242,040 is contained in the budget for the rehabilitation of police stations and barracks by the Nigeria Immigration Service.

Exactly. You are certainly right. Might look like post colonialism but that is what we need. In the case of Mark Carney (a wishful dream) I honestly respect the man's capability. He is slowly pushing the UK out of the euro recession. I watched him on Bloomberg with Charlie Rose, an outstanding economist. We need a man like him.

If I am Jonathan, I will get two foreigners for both the CBN and minister of finance job.

@OP I think you should redirect your protest to the government. Every corporate organisation have the right to downside. True it affects families, however, in the business world sentiments cannot be attached. If only our economy was properly managed, many of the affected families would have moved on to better job offers or start their own business (and I pray they are doing likewise too).

Rather still, why don't you and your NGO go stand in front of National Assembly or Aso rock and demand for good and responsible government.

@OP keep doing what you are doing. Do not relent, do not give up. I have previously said our main problem is not corruption but Tribalism and Nepotism (that is what our selfish leaders are using against the youth). We fight and take sides, while they are busy sharing the loots and scheming on the next one. If we the youth do not give our leaders sleepless nights, then we are on our way to a spiral downfall. If NOI does not take a second to think about Occupynaija and what they would say if she implements a wrong policy, then the struggle is in vain. I will advise you to equip yourself with the 1999 constitution (that's our sovereign law) and other important policies. Our dumb government pays youths on social media to distract others, you can do likewise - get a good handful of your friends and attack back on social media. Let your objective not be driven by monetary terms (like omojuwa) and you shall definitively get support from genuine Nigerian Youths who want progress for the country. Good luck to you.

There is nothing as a nice girl or nice guy. We all have our shortcomings and weakness. I think it should renamed - dumb babes and smart babes.

Smart babes know how to get and keep a man, dum*b babes don't. It's so funny when a guy gets a Babe and she wants to be the center of attraction hence she watches the guy to criticize his behaviour, compares him with her ex, listen to jealous tips from gal friends and finally blames guys for her loneliness. They want a man to do all for them but contribute little or nothing to the relationship.

Gals guys don wise up. Stay there to form nice gal no go wise up
Romance › Re: Why Do 'Nice' Ladies Get Dumped Easily by Boss13: 6:30pm On Dec 26, 2013
Why would the good girls get married when the only thing they do is to observe. They see a guy they like, they start praying to God for him to look their way instead of getting to work. When he finally notices you, you still pray he feels for you, and if he does have feelings for you, instead of working hard to make the relationship, you just start observing and complaining leaving him bored. A crazy gal understands the rhythm of men, knows when he is into her, work to make him love her and fights to make the relationship work.

Many good girls are lazy in relationship, have poor social lives, not good on bed (cos their pastor says pre-marital sex is bad and to make their matter worse, do not know how to either cook good food or lack the interest to do so.

Who would want to leave a lady (regardless of how pretty she is) who is fun to be with, blow your brains out with good sex, reasons with you and also push you to achieve things.

The world is changing ladies, if you make the first move, you ain't cheap. It shows you know what you want and if a guy thinks your cheap, he is immature, outdated and needs to live up to the realities of the 21st century. You cannot get and keep a man if you are waiting, observing and praying. You have to work for it and work very hard too.
Dude, I'm a very busy man. I'm actually in the UK now for an event which is still ongoing as I type this.

I do not have to do any research yo respond to you as I reserve the right to ignore you.

You are just an employee of a bank. CEOs of banks bow down when shaking hands with me and they do so with both hands. In real life, you'll fill a form and book an appointment to have audience with me.
What a mudarfuck*ker. Now I am really interested in filling out a visitors note to see you. You can choose either to make your address public here (if you only can) or PM me. A normal procedure in every organisation is what a dumb man is bragging about (I forgot he trades). Certainly, you are not what you are. You have neglected my questions for excuses of an assumed event in the UK. The same event presumedly on-going when you were hitting the keypad of your phone. FYI Bank CEOs don't deal with traders and also FYI I don't like dealing with traders, because of the relatively small turnover (I have mentioned that previously), they visit my office and fill the same visitors form you are bragging about or we discuss by phone or I send my team member to go check them out.

I will continue to single you out and prove you wrong that

1. You are not what you claim to be in real life.
2. You do not understand the deep intricacies of business methodologies (What you know how to do is buy and sell). If you even own one.
3. You are not the owner of the trading shop you claim to be working in right now
4. You claim that you are not interested in Nigerian banks and the only thing you do is save and withdraw (I don't know how the hell this salient point skipped my analysis). No business man who trades (even the ones in Alaba) that do not go through a Bank/Financial institution. This continues to show that you do not own that business you are bragging here on NL. Where do you buy the foreign currencies you remit to your Chinese/India manufacturers - from Eko Hotel Mallams?

You can go through my post (previous and anyone in the future). I do not belong to your category (monikers with fantasy outlook) because I have transcended above mediocrity and fantasies.

I just looked at your profile and saw the picture you uploaded. Indeed I was never wronged and I don't mean the mad man who is improperly dressed (who might be either you, your relative, a friend or one of those presumed staff of yours) but the environment within which the picture was snapped (A trading environment indeed). I judge people by their sense of reasoning, articulation and ideologies. Have a good day Mr. Sunny Bobo and stop the lies.

Disappointed why CBN doesn't see this as an issue. It drives inflation up.
The bolded is very funny. However, I disagree with you. I have not take notice of this but I believe it may be due to the lower purchasing power of these currencies and it may be costing the CBN more to print them. Whichever the case, I believe the CBN will not allow the scarcity to go extreme. The guy @ that office are doing a good job. @Poster I did not want to comment. I don't comment on romance issues. However, I think your issue is relatively easy and not complicated.

I feel your husband loves you but he is not matured enough. The age difference is causing the stress. Be patient with him, certainly he would grow. Don't criticise him much, before he starts seeing you as his mom and start getting irritated (if he isn't already). He will grow. Hopefully when he starts seeing his son getting old, maturity will set in.

Also stop threatening your husband with divorce (that is not good). You are making him insecure and he may start thinking of alternatives instead of concentrating in loving and supporting you. Rather show him more love and be patient with him.
Politics › Made-in-nigeria Vehicles To Sell For N1.2m – FG by Boss13(op): 3:58pm On Dec 23, 2013
The Federal Government, in a bid to ensure the successful implementation of its recently approved National Automotive Industry Development Plan, said it would encourage local auto manufacturers to produce less expensive models with price range of between N1.2m and N1.5m.

It also said it would collaborate with auto manufacturers, franchise holders, reputable motor dealers and selected banks to put in place an all-inclusive domestic dealership network through which a user-friendly vehicle purchase scheme could be funded by the National Automotive Council.

These are contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the NAC and obtained by our correspondent in Abuja.

The statement said, “Under market development, the NAIDP anticipated that higher-end expensive models will still be imported into the country in the initial stage, but the new strategy is to encourage local auto manufacturers to focus primarily on lower-end less expensive models with price range of between N1.2m and N1.5m; which is affordable to the middle class, coupled with other finance options.”

The statement added that the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegun Aganga, had constituted two committees to ensure seamless implementation of the recently approved automotive plan.

The first is the Automotive Industry Policy Implementation and Monitoring Committee, with members drawn from broad-based industry stakeholders, including the Nigerian Automotive Manufacturers/Assemblers Association and the Automobile Local Content Manufacturers Association.

Others are the Automobile Franchise Holders (Mercedez Benz, Kia, Suzuki, CFAO, Toyota, Volvo, Globe Motors, Dana, Balyn Motors, Metropolitan Motors), Used Vehicle Dealers Association, Manufacturers Association of Nigeria and the Original Equipment Manufacturers.

The second body is the Inter Agency Implementation Committee made up of representatives of relevant government Ministries, Departments and Agencies, including the Federal ministries of Power, Solid Minerals and Federal Ministry of Finance, Office of the National Security Adviser, Bank of Industry, Nigerian Ports Authority, and Raw Materials Research and Development Council, among others.

The Director-General, NAC, Mr. Aminu Jalal, said in the statement that under the NAIDP skills development, there would be extensive local and international manpower development programmes aimed at ensuring that, over the next four to six years, skilled positions in all auto industries in the country were occupied by Nigerians.

To ensure that the cars produced are of good quality, the statement said NAC was currently building automotive component test centres and laboratories to conduct vehicle homologation and other comprehensive tests of parts and components that would enhance overall product quality.

The statement said, “Under investment promotion, fiscal measures and patronage strategies are being introduced to create enabling environment, allowing existing assembly plants to flourish, while attracting new core investors like Nissan, Renault, GM and Toyota; which had expressed interest, to establish plants in Nigeria.

“For policy consistency, NAIDP is formulated as a 10-year programme (2013-2024) subject to review after five years while its major elements would be legislated over the next two years.”

chynes: @Sunny_bobo & @boss13. I have been following your arguments with keen interest. Your opposing views should form the basis of intellectual discuss undertaken with mutual respect. @ boss13..you were too dismissive of sunny's credentials. @sunny, you on the other hand painted a little too rosy picture which I believe drew the ire of @boss13. However, you are both entitled to your opinions. But I wish both of you can see the merits of each other's argument and include that in ur subsequent analysis. No name calligs. Just pure give and take.
His argument makes me suspicious. My intent is not to insult him but to draw his attention towards the brag ado of being an employer of labour (the term he knows little of). I see and read comments from the group of his kind. I also engage with them in reality and honestly many of them don't know what they are doing. To me they are all self employed.

I have opened myself up in humility on what I do and the weaknesses from the Nigeria bank perspective. Mr. Sunny is yet to do likewise. However, his discussion and argument with me so far has revealed that he is a trader (he truly does not want to admit) and presumably he does not own the business he is bragging with. Mr. Sunny Bobo interest is in the mark-up on his goods (suming them up on a yearly basis will make up his profit earned for the year after deducting all expenditures) and no value added to either his goods or the economy. He is just a middle man, a delivery channel to the end use consumer.

To say the truth, their activities is hurting our economy. Though, the govt should share in the blame too. He talked about innovation, I smile because his activity has no innovation involved (the little they can do is inform their foreign manufacturer to repackage the products). I will be happy to do business with the likes of Jumia and Konga because that's innovation in online retailing business.

My dear, business is what I know and business, macro & microeconomies analysis is what I do regularly (I wish not to brag) and when I see what NOI is doing I shake my head in negation.

I have been judicious enough to ask him some salient questions which affects all businesses in this country. Would he be honest enough to answer them. In my sincere opinion, I pray he doesn't because it would only reveal more ignorance and he may never use the moniker Sunny Bobo again based on my fellow up argument.
Dude, I can't remember telling you I'm a trader. Yes, I could be but you don't have to assume. If I deal on what Nigeria hasn't got any comparative advantage in, why shouldn't I import. Mind you, not all pharmaceuticals are imported. Some are on the import prohibition list and for those products, we manufacture locally. These include but not limited to Paracetamol tablets, metronidazole tablets etc.

I pay corporation tax of 30% and 2% education tax. The form filled for my employees' PAYEE is Form 'A' (Not too sure though cos the accounts department handles this).
Mr. Sunny Bobo you are a trader of pharmaceutical products I can even see it from your corporation tax of 30%. Manufacturers and Corps that exports pays 20%. Do you get Capital Allowance? Again, as a CEO you must know how your expenditure arises and that includes all remittances to govt (Corporate Tax, Education Tax, PAYE, Capital Gain Tax, VAT, Stamp Duties etc). When you don't know this, it only increases my suspicion (FYI based on tax assessment of 2012/2013 PAYE, first N300,000 is 7%, the next N300,000 is 11%, next N500,000 is 15%, next N500,000 is 19% e.t.c). Again, as CEO it is your sole responsibility to prepare the PAYE for your employees, though this duty is delegated but where you fail, you as a director and other directors will be held liable. Also, your account department cannot file for tax returns, you must go through a tax consultant(s).

Furthermore, I requested for what date Corps remit tax returns. You did not respond.

So Mister, you can see how I am opening you open. Be very careful to engage me further before I dissect you to reveal that you are not even the owner of the business you are working in. Maybe it is owned by a family relation. Coming to nairaland to brag.

You better come for consultancy services make I help you grow your trading business. Sometimes some people think nairaland is predominantly teenagers and students that they can deceive.
Your reference to me as a 'trader' shows you are a local economist And your reference to 'Chinese/Indian manufacturers' show you lack international exposure. Are you talking about the same Chinese and Indian manufacturers that produce more than 90% of goods consumed in the western world? The difference between you and me is that while I am an employer of labour, you are an employee. At least, I have taken people off the labour market, my employees have their PAYE deducted and remitted to the government and my business pays corporation tax as well. I wonder what use you are to the country.

I am typing from my phone and it is not convenient fir me to give you a proper response. I shall get back to you.
Keep your emotions in check. An attribute of leadership is to discern logically. Though I suspect you being an employer of labour (you use the term loosely). Go to Financial times, and if you have paid your subscription - type employer of labour. I guess you would drop the term. For me you are self employed.

Yes I am an employee. I am happy with that and the experience is invaluable. Would help me a lot when I decide to float a company.

Mr. Sunny you are of no value to the country. Infact you are worse off. You buy and sell that's what you do (A trader). You make the demand for dollar increase and that devalue our naira. You are the reason Sanusi has refused to reduce to drop the interest rate because the only innovation you think of is to collect money, remit to your manufacturers, get products and sell to your consumers. You do not understand supply chain management, production line-ups and set-ups, quality control checks, value chain management. You might even be responsible for infiltrating our market with fake drugs.

Now Mr. Sunny - what form do you feel for your employees when you want to do their PAYE remittance and what are the content inside the form? What is the current corporate tax rate and when do you remit corporation tax? These are the kind of question we ask people like you who claim to be providing jobs.

You should also be the CEO otherwise you have failed like Iweala.
Let me address you finally as I can see your emotions are getting the best out of you.

I work in a Nigerian Bank and if you do read ThisDay Newspaper we grace the second or third full page print and also on BusinessDay Newspaper (I guess you should be smart enough to figure out). Strategically, the Bank is doing well for itself and posting profits.

Overall, we do not do enough for mSME because one cannot trust the creditworthiness of the average Nigerian. Many Nigerians in business who needs funds do not understanding the funding needs of their business, nor do they match funds properly. Some of these business do not have strong accounting policies and practices. Also, many mSME require longer gestation periods and every management (even in Fortune 100 corporations) are short term oriented.

However, the trend is changing - thanks to CBN and the urge to tap into the retail end of the economy. To our retail customers, the interest rates are so high (not our fault but MPR committee).

No I am not a failure like NOI. Though I don't manage an economy but as a team lead for my small team we are really doing good.

I will be a CEO (not a wish). My goal is to prove that a small business can go public against all odds. I also consult part time for businesses and my customers and that's because I understand the nitty-gritty. Thanks to my banking experience and education (home and abroad). So be very careful to engage with me on business stuffs. I don't like traders (no offense) because they do not add value to the value chain. They are middle men to me (collect and deliver - smile with mark ups).

I still remain humble and will critique objectively. Unlike you, I will not care less about the overall well being of the economy even though I may feel comfortable about my welfare because a stupid govt can make adverse policies that can change the situation of things.

I have broken down myself. Can you do the same for you? I know you can't
As per what I do, be rest assured that I'm not doing anything illegal neither do I have any dealing with the government and if you have ever taken antimalarials treatment in Nigeria, chances are that you may have been treated with a product I'm associated with.
Mtsheww I suspected I was discussing with a trader because of his utterances. The Mister was even talking about innovation grin. A trader who deals with pharmaceutical products, ashamed to quote his business name but proud enough to say he is doing well and care less about the govt.

Mr. Sunny please continue with your trading activities with either your Indian and/or Chinese manufacturers and continue smiling with your mark-ups. You indeed know nothing about the Nigerian economy. However, please note that you contribute to the budget deficits this country is experiencing and the devaluation of our precious naira.

I shall no longer engage in intellectual arguments with you.

Wislet: OH..........

YOU DO NOT SEE YOURSELF AS BEING CAPABLE OF ADVISING/PROFFERING ANY SOLUTIONS??

NOTED.
Madam please read my previous comments. Nigerians are now advising her because they have seen she is not handling the economy well. This should not be the case. Some are even advising her to resign.
