Go and open shop for the woman and replace her goods. However, don't use state funds for this. Else na crocodile tears she dey shed. |
^^^^^^ I was at the forum. Seems you read my mind. The guy was just criticizing the federal government and he forgot that he is responsible for the safety of people in Lagos. Always claiming lack of funds and he is about to pay N50bn to buy back lekki-epe expressway. That same money will buy 10 patrol vans. |
Universities should reopen please. There are other ways to resolve a problem. |
Let sleeping dogs lie, LASG. |
Can this guy be trusted? Or oyinbo don dey do 419 |
Gracyel: Exactly!.... Ah ah, no matter how bad someone's attutude is and no matter how much someone makes u angry, Do not let it get to you. Else, d anger will send u to your early grave. Everyone is just sayin she is a nagging wife, even if she is...hasnt d husband known dat since they'v been married. Now, after angrily alighting; is d woman still not alive?. So, why getting unecessarily angry. Instead of blaming anyone, we shld be getting a lesson from d story. 'learn how to control your temper" Dont let anger drive u to your early grave....Do not let nagging pple or pple with bad attitudes get to you. Shikena! You have been blaming the man from your first comment. Did you notice the wife's comment in court - She was angry, he did not come to find out if she was fine. I think women have been unfair to men. They scream the victim, while they are the instigator. They scream domestic abuse, while they are the initiator, they scream my husband beats me, while they abuse, humiliate, degrade and assault their husband. Why women, why? |
FLORIDACAR: Two wrong dont make a right they say. Average Nigerian are more like an animal when trusted with power or authority , Adams Oshi-omo ole is a classical example of power corrupts absolute corrupts... What more damaging is how average Nigerian reason, Not a single soul on this platform suggest things like let open a site or an account and see how we can help the poor widow and put Governor Adams to a shame.True. However you can push for it. I support the case to publicly shame the governor. We have to start something so that these leaders will be mindful of their behaviour and attitude. |
ifyalways: Please stop posting rubbish!Even if she was hawking. A good leader should be benevolent. She was on her knees, begging profusely. Worst case scenario, do not talk to her, just go about with the exercise. Those words were just so demeaning. Ha Naija for how long we go continue to stay oppressed by these people? |
Urine: Most people that commented have gotten this wrong, this rubbish is not about political party it's about the ruling class in general. Whether you're Muslim or Christian, you come from the North and South, Nigerian leaders have dealt with us in a terrible way and if you think this will change by the use of the ballot you're on a long thing. This is the best comment I have read in this politics section. You are so right. |
Pure wickedness, nothing but pure and undiluted wickedness. I think a campaign should be staged and the governor should issue an apology |
chiefkpokp: Yes I agree that dis is really d work of pdp and their agent, u pple are here running ur mouth anyhow, I bet u r not in d state, if not u should have known that even what d widow did was wrong! Do you know since when d governmenr have been making efforts to remove hawkers from the work way, anyone that is caught by the enforcement agent would have his or her goods seize and taking away. I hope you know that if d government have had pardon dis widow, then tomorrow u will c anoda widow doing d same thing.... Its clear that they have warn that any workway seller should desist from that habit! But them non dey hear word.We are not attacking the policy but the attitude of the Governor. Let me give you an example, Fashola introduced LASTMA to control traffic and catch traffic law offenders. Have you seen Fashola going about catching and insulting traffic offenders. The only time I saw him was the case of the colonel, which was so obvious and Fashola too was well behaved. |
All our political leader are like this. Oshiomole's behaviour depicts the actual Nigerian leader who do not care about the welfare of their followers. I have listened to him on several occasions accusing the Federal government of not fighting corruption and poverty. Now is this governor doing anything about the poor people in his state? Funny enough, our political leaders all started out being poor. They accumulate wealth and power and then forget about their humble background and their followers. Shame on you Oshiomole, shame on you. |
if I were the president, I would sack all lecturers on strike and open up vacancies to interested lecturers. This time their contract will be renegotiated with bumper package. This will separate those who have passion for teaching and those who are just there for the money. I will also increase education budget to adequately fund universities. I believe the sub-set of lecturers who don't love teaching will capture the bad eggs who molest female students, collect money for handouts and those who punish students at all will |
Ayekotoo: Coming from someone across the Niger, am not surprised.I will not blame your reasoning because I believe it is beclouded with sentiments. Your above statement is tribalistic and reflects how you think in a modern and diverse world. Mtshweee. FYI I am a Lagos State Citizen and I don't go about singing it and also I know Fashola on a more personal level than you do. Your only knowledge of him is on the cover of Newpapers and whatever TV box you have. |
^^^^ you have said it all. I asked a close friend of mine - name 5 things you have benefited from Fashola's administration (and that's because he claimed that Fashola is better than other governors) - He could not. Same as me. Rather it is a reversal case, where we the residents of Lagos pay for public infrastructure and yet still provide for ourselves. I cannot compare Fashola with other Governors. For christ sake, I don't reside in their states. It is where I reside in that I should be able to speak of. For me Fashola has done nothing but to enrich himself and dance with media boys. He knows how to handle the media effectively. I also have a forum with him today and guess what as usual, he would bamboos us with positive words and his woman leader would cajole her followers to sing praises. But I will not be deceived. I guess I will update you guys about the forum later today. |
Very true indeed. But you have to be sure that he is the one so you don't feel you are wasting your effort. This gesture also make a man feel guilty if he intends to cheat cos his woman treats him so right why should he try another that is just around for the money. |
I was thinking the APC intends to distinguish itself from the PDP - that thought is gone. There is nothing new about this guys, just a change of clothes. I bet we would not have a free and fair election by 2015. Even 2014 will be a tough year. |
A shame. This syndrome reflects in all of us. |
Nollywood needs a revolution. The market is there and not just 160million viewers, you have the entire sub-sahara market to satisfy. So the issue is not about watching it in a cinema but producing top-notch quality movies. As Africans, it is sad that we let the Europeans tell our own stories and guess what they would only tell it to suit themselves. Your project sounds exciting and I might be looking out for your movies (because you bragged) and if they are close to the recent bred of New Nigerian film makers, sorry I won't be seeing your movies again. However, if you intend to change the way we do movies, maybe I might join in the struggle. Till then, I wish you the very best. |
Not a bad tool due to the heighten insecurity in the country. My only concern is that black men don't know how to control and manage power & authority. |
femo86: One of themHe is trying to crack a joke for christ sake. |
Not a bad post. We have crappy tailors in Naija and the ones imported are not just the right size for you. On the other side, getting a customized suit can be pretty expensive. |
Who fires a gun in Abuja these days, with all the security as a result of Boko Haram. I am sorry that I cannot express sympathy on this issue because it looks fishy. The shooter must be a learner. Why shoot @ a vehicle when you know your victim won't be in the car. I also guess the driver was unharmed too (staged super story). Madam the same brain you used in inflating and siphoning cash is @ work again (very dull brain indeed). Do a better job next time. Nobody is after Madam Oduah's life except honest Nigerians who want her to resign her position. I wonder why it's taking Jonathan so long to fire this woman or is he part of this cuckoo scheme of deceit. |
mrsincredible: lagos runz gals look cheapThe same person that opened a thread looking for a husband. Na wa oh |
Betray who - Nigerians or Northerners |
We know that was why you were arrested. Now reveal the others and negotiate your freedom |
@naptu2 you are right in some areas and wrong in others. The matter went to court. FHA, together with Festac Resident Association took the LASG to court. Yes the roads in Festac are in terrible conditions but the Local Government Council (Amuwo Odofin) is really trying to do its best even with limited resources. Fashola gladly informed us that he would not repair the roads in Festac because it is a Federal Govt property. Really, we weren't federal govt children when he came to campaign. |
pro01: I thought this nauseating governor was supposedly a lawyer, SAN for that matter? Why is he talking rubbish when he should simply take the matter to the Supreme Court for interpretation and resolution?Imagine, he even tried forcing his way into the estate. He started by trying to repair the roads, FHA told him to desist from such practice (please note the trying because he did not commence at all). Even the residents do not want him. The matter was taken to court and FHA won. I just don't understand the governor. He should go and work and stop playing with media boys. Fashola, Festac does not need you. Stop looking for land to seize for personal use. If you want land, go to FHA like other normal citizens and pay the naira value. |
I own a property in Festac. What is Fashola going to do - evict me for Land use charge? Why is Fashola interested in Festac? He has been fighting since he became governor to possess Festac. FHA and Festac residents has publicly informed him that we do not want him. What is his grudges? Festac has never complained to him to fix their roads or is he interested in the huge revenue he would make? We provide for ourselves in Lagos. We build our houses, we constructed our bore-holes for water supply, we generate our power using our generators, we get our own jobs, we provide our own security either using OPC or other vigilante group, we even repair neglected roads because of our vehicles. Can Fashola or the Federal Govt come outside and proudly tell the whole world what they have done for us. Rather they look for means to exploit people and steal. Yet people go around, shouting that Fashola is working. Who can truthfully, without ethnic bias or partisan politics, claim that the combination of Tinubu and Fashola administrations have improved their own standard of living. |
redcliff: Vote the man not the party!, not the party! How do you separate the man from the party? |
twaintoy: I'm telling you. I rejected offers from two banks cuz of this. No rest of mind, no future. Why did u apply initially if you know there is no rest of mind? It seems you didn't make the list. |
This is a very good thread. I suggest the names of these organisations are complied. However, we need people to state reasons before the names are complied. |
